Jungle theme baby shower cakes make a wonderful centerpiece.

This adorable baby shower cake is perfect for the new mom celebrating with a jungle or safari theme. The jungle animals (even a little hippo) surround the cake to make an amazing centerpiece for your party.

So simple – safari themed food ideas!

How fun are these pretzel sticks with animal print patterns? You can find the basics on creating chocolate covered pretzels here . This adorable tiger dip works perfectly for a jungle themed baby shower. Just cut up some red, orange and yellow peppers for the mane, arrange a few black olives for the face and crackers for the ears. This is such a cute saying on the favor tag – the sentiment is so sweet. It reads “Please light me up when you hear the news that baby Sawyer has made his debut. The flame will glow to celebrate little Sawyer’s arrival date.” It’s easy to do too … get your candle votives with lids ( or without lids ) next add some twine, punch a hole in your note card and lastly, add to your candle favors. You can customize the tags with your own wording or poem too!

Hi Tracy – It appears that the templates were handmade with fondant. The cookie cutouts I’ve seen are similar – but not the same. There are a lot of cute ones out there though on etsy – you may find something you like!

How to Throw a Jungle Themed Baby Shower

Jungle baby shower themes are one of our favorite party ideas, and you can easily customize them to suit every momma-to-be’s vision for celebrating the upcoming arrival of their little one. There are few things cuter than baby elephants, tigers, and monkeys on party invites! 

If you’re not sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place! We’re here to guide you through the process of planning the perfect Jungle-Themed Baby Shower that will be both memorable and budget-friendly.

When to Throw a Jungle Baby Shower

The ideal season to throw a jungle baby shower would be late spring and summer, especially if you’re able to organize the event outdoors. You’re already surrounded by green, so you can often use the natural landscape as a decoration in and of itself. 

Jungle-themed baby showers aren’t just for the summer months, however. If you happen to live in a warmer climate all year round, you’re not really limited by the season!

After all, a region that’s more like a desert (think Arizona or New Mexico) would be the perfect place for a jungle safari-themed party. 

We always say that it comes down to what the expecting momma wants. If she’s set on a jungle baby shower in the dead of winter, you bet you’re going to make that happen for her!

Example Party Schedule

While you don’t have to have a schedule for a baby shower, we like to have a general idea of what will happen throughout the day.

Here’s a sample schedule for a fall baby shower:

1-1:30 pm – Guests arrive and mingle

1:30 – 2 pm – Shower Hostess says a few words and outlines what to expect with when you’re planning food, games and gift opening. This would also be a good time to do a warm up game, like our favorite baby scavenger hunt. This game can help other guests meet each other. If you’re doing a diaper raffle, we recommend introducing it at this time so guests have time to drop off their gift and fill out any raffle entries.

2 – 3 pm – Food and drinks are available

3-4 pm – Baby shower gift opening and diaper raffle. We like to sprinkle raffle prizes in between gifts to keep guests engaged and entertained.

If you’re having part of your shower virtual, this is a great time to have guests log into Zoom!

4-5 pm – Final games and goodbyes
