This dad embraced his 'Reputation' era to attend Taylor Swift concert with his daughter
Elyssa Kim and her dad, Edward Kim, have one special tradition — seeing Taylor Swift in concert together.
The father-daughter duo from Orange County, California, have seen Swift in concert multiple times, including the singer’s "1989 World Tour" in 2015 and "Reputation Stadium Tour" in 2018.
Most recently, the Kims attended opening night of Swift’s "Eras Tour" at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, March 17.
The duo went viral on social media for their themed ensembles for the evening, and Elyssa Kim tells TODAY.com that she has her dad, who she says has always been her “fashion guru,” to thank.
On TikTok , the 22-year-old shared a short clip that showed off their looks for the concert.
To start the video, the two sat side-by-side on the airplane before the show, acting out part of Swift’s song “Look What You Made Me Do.” When the beat dropped, the video transitioned to the Kims in their outfits, which aligned with two of Swift’s “eras.”
For her ensemble, Elyssa Kim donned a pink furry jacket over a black sequin dress. She accessorized with a pair of black platform boots and pink sunglasses with bejeweled hearts. Edward Kim opted for a monochromatic black tracksuit and a pair of reflective aviator shades.
The father-daughter duo were hyped up in the comments for their outfits, with one TikTok user writing, “Ur dad slays so hard."
“first we had the Harry dad’s, now we’re getting the swifty dad’s!” another commenter wrote, referring to the father-daughter fit checks from Harry Styles’ 2022 sold-out Love On Tour shows.
One person wrote in the comments, “WHY AM I CRYING this is the sweetest thing. also you guys look fierce.”
“Best dad award," another TikTok user commented.
Elyssa Kim tells TODAY.com in an interview over the phone that she sought out her father's advice as she picked her concert outfit.
“People think I go to my mom, but oftentimes I go to my dad. He picked out my prom dress!” she explains. “Even here, I was trying to go for different eras, so we ended up going with the ‘Lover’ theme, and he was like, 'You have to wear the pink jacket.’”
Edward Kim also went to his daughter for advice when it came time to decide what he would wear.
She recalls him asking, "What do I wear as a dad to a concert?"
She says she replied with, "Dad, you have to go with the iconic tracksuit. If you wear a black tracksuit, that’s big ‘Reputation.’"
When it came time to film their outfit reveals for TikTok, the 22-year-old shares that her dad didn’t need any direction and was a natural in front of the camera.
“I was like, ‘Dad, let’s do this thing together!’ as I was on the plane because I thought it would be fun,” she explains. “Even before we left, I was trying to get a good spot and he said, ‘I’ll put my bag down so we can stand up the phone!”
Seeing concerts together has become somewhat of a tradition for the Kims. But Elyssa says that she considers herself “lucky” to have even gotten tickets for Swift’s latest tour, which made headlines back in November when ticket sales crashed Ticketmaster’s website and the public ticket sale was canceled due to “extraordinarily high demands.”
Even though she made it off of Ticketmaster’s waitlist, she says that landing tickets to see Swift and Paramore — who were one of the opening acts — was still a “whole day affair” and a “family effort.”
The duo had planned to see Swift in July 2020 for her "Lover Fest" shows, but the tour was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, they are more than making up for it. After the opening night concert in Glendale — temporarily renamed Swift City — they will see the “Anti-Hero” singer again in June at one of Swift’s shows in Chicago.
But getting two pairs of tickets wasn't the plan, Elyssa Kim says.
“When I was trying to surprise him with tickets, he was trying to surprise me,” she explains. “And so he ended up getting us two tickets for Chicago.”
The struggle to get tickets was ultimately worth it in the end though, Elyssa Kim says.
“It’s been such a special bond to get to experience the show with my dad,” she says. “I’m so fortunate to have such a supportive figure and also be getting to be around Taylor’s presence. She’s such an empowering woman.”
She says she's loved seeing all of the positive support for their special father-daughter relationship on social media, too.
“He’s aways been my number one supporter,” she explains. “He’s always pushing me and I love that about him. He’s always been a good role model for female empowerment as well, and telling me I can do whatever. You can just tell his support through that video and I’m glad other people see that too.”

Talking With ‘Swiftie Dads’ at a Taylor Swift Concert
By Eileen Cartter
Photography by Bowen Fernie
The doors to Lincoln Financial Field technically opened at 4:30 p.m. last Friday, three and a half hours before Taylor Swift would launch her first of three consecutive, sold-out Eras Tour shows here in Philadelphia, but for many fans (and their parents) in attendance, those doors opened days, months, even years earlier than that. Because being (or raising) a Taylor Swift fan is an all-encompassing, time-transcending experience.
The sweeping premise of the Eras Tour—which spans the many albums and “eras” of 33-year-old Swift’s career, which began in Nashville when she was 16—became an opportunity for young attendees to dress up as their favorite musical or aesthetic moment from the Swift canon, referencing the myriad music videos, inside jokes, and niche Swiftie lore that fuels the fandom. Die-hard fans started documenting their Eras Tour outfits on TikTok—and some have been dressing up their Swiftie dads , too. Where there were once bored dads at a One Direction concert , these were ecstatic dads at a Taylor Swift concert.
In Philly, the legions of guardians both dutifully chaperoning and proudly accompanying their kids to this experience had already logged untold hours and dollars between them. Weeks spent hoping to score tickets after Swift’s 52-date national tour sold out on Ticketmaster so quickly back in November, it became a calamity seismic enough to racket the issue up the ranks of the U.S. judicial system. Countless hours spent listening to Taylor songs on the drive here from near and far…and during daily carpool singalongs en route to school, soccer practices, and piano lessons. Years spent loving Swiftie partners who then helped raise Swiftie kids. Some even made the long-haul journey here without tickets, because their kids were glad to just “be breathing the same air” as their favorite artist on the planet. Swift—who was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles northwest of Philly—greeted 67,812 people inside the Linc that Friday, though thousands more ticketless fans (some estimate 10,000 to 20,000) posted up outside the venue to listen in. On Twitter , Swift said it was a dream to play “three nights in the stadium I used to see on TV when my dad watched Eagles games every Sunday.” Time, curious time.
Parking lots outside the stadium opened even earlier to tailgaters, who began gathering on the asphalt around noon to grill, craft and exchange beaded friendship bracelets, and play pump-up Taylor songs on this hot, late-spring day. Weary but unbowed, the Swiftie dads jammed along; others sought out shady patches of grass or sat inside their idling SUVs with the AC on as temperatures crept into the 80s. A few fathers who didn’t make it inside smoked stogies in the parking lot while the sun started to set, waiting for ride-home duty to commence.
Scroll on to survey the scene, and meet some of those Swifties and their Swiftie dads, at the first night of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour in Philadelphia.
Katherine, 15, Benemil, 52, and Candice, 13 Richmond, VA
So, how many hours did you wait to get tickets? Benemil: Six hours. It was an experience, but it’s all worth it because of… [ gestures to daughters ] Are you blushing now? See what I have to do for you?
How long have you been a Taylor Swift dad? Benemil [ laughing ]: Let me see. October, November, December… Seven months? There’s no pressure. The drive up [from Virginia was] an interesting one. It’s three, almost four hours of live singalong. I’m surprised they still have voices now.
Are you a big concert person? Benemil: Yeah, though we’re more ’80s. Oh, here’s an interesting story: [The day] we got married—by a JOP, Justice Of the Peace—in the evening, we went to see Dave Matthews .
Do you have a favorite Taylor Swift song? Benemil: Katherine, answer that for me. Katherine: He plays Midnights a lot.
Do you think your dad’s in his Midnights era? Katherine: I think he’s in his debut [Swift’s 2006 self-titled album] era. He likes country.
Hannah-Lynn, 17, and Robert, 58 Hampton, VA
What brings you here to the Taylor Swift concert? Robert: I was a firefighter for 18 years. Developed lymphoma cancer in 2016. Went through nine rounds of chemo, stem cell transplant, lost the left lung, went into septic shock. I almost died in the ER, so I dedicated my life to my kids.
Hannah-Lynn: Now we’re going to Taylor Swift.
Robert: She says, “If I get Taylor Swift concert tickets, will you take me?” I said, “Sure, not a problem.” So here we are.
And how long have you been a Swiftie dad? Robert: Well, ever since she’s been a Swiftie girl.
Hannah-Lynn: Yeah. Like my whole life. My first actual CD was 1989 .
What would your dad’s era be? Hannah-Lynn: Definitely [Swift’s 2006 self-titled] debut. He’s from South Carolina, so he gives off the country vibes.
Robert: Old-school [stuff like] Hank Williams Jr., Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, all old country music… God works in mysterious ways. So here I am, at Taylor Swift with my daughter.
What song are you most excited to hear tonight? Hannah-Lynn: I love “Illicit Affairs” and “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).” I’m so excited. This is actually my first concert, too.
First concert ever? Hannah-Lynn: Yeah. Everybody’s telling me like, “Wait, once you see Taylor Swift, all the other concerts aren’t going to match up to it.” I feel like I’m totally perfectly fine with that. Because it’s for Taylor, obviously.

Hunter, 7, and John, 37 Clayton, DE
How long have you been Taylor Swift fans? John: That’s the big question. His whole life. I got into it a little bit later, with Midnights . But they got me now. We’re just hoping to get seats.
Is this the line to get tickets? John: No, not really. They’re not even really giving tickets out here, you have to go on Ticketmaster. But everybody here is hoping to get tickets and I guess if not, we’re just going to hang out and listen to the concert from here.
What song are you most excited to hear? John: Do you know, baby?
Hunter: “Speak Now.” It’s really calm. It’s kind of loud. I like the kind of loud stuff.
John: I’m looking forward to “Anti-Hero.”
Can you tell me about your outfits tonight? Hunter: I’m from the album Red , from… What am I from?
John: Oh, that’s right. The best man [from the “I Bet You Think About Me" music video .] And I’m Miles Teller.
Assata, 15, and Daren, 56 Baltimore, MD
How long have you been a Swiftie dad? Daren: I’ve probably been undercover for a couple of years now, I just couldn’t tell them, you know? Probably since she came on the scene, since when I first saw her on MTV…
Assata: What!
Daren: Yes, doing the country! She didn’t know I knew that, see? I didn’t know [Swift] was from West Reading. I was like, that’s interesting, because I used to do a lot of my outlet shopping in Reading, Pennsylvania, when they were little.
What’s your era? Assata: My favorite era, I feel like probably Red because it was just so iconic. But my favorite album is Lover .
What era do you think your dad is? Assata: I’m going to have to go with Red or 1989 . He just gives very much Red energy.
Darren: I like “Anti-Hero,” and of course “Lavender Haze.” She didn’t know I was undercover like that, listening as long as I’ve been listening!
And if you guys can’t get tickets, do you think you’ll just stand outside? Darren: Yeah, we’ll be outside, definitely. Taking in the vibes, taking in the energy. Already sharing and trading bracelets. And then probably be back tomorrow or Sunday. So, she got to go in. She got to get in. Those are sacrifices we make, right? For the Swifties. So I got to be a nifty Swiftie daddy, you know?
Dave, 36, and Adelynn, 9 King of Prussia, PA
What is your favorite Taylor Swift era? Dave: Speak Now , probably.
And that’s the purple? Dave: Yeah, exactly. The two of us [with wife Bernadette] are both in our Speak Now . She is a mix of Reputation and Lover .
What’s your favorite Taylor Swift song? Adelynn: All of them.
Dave: She’s really been digging “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince.”
Adelynn: No! I listen to “Don’t Blame Me”!
Dave: Oh, “Don’t Blame Me,” yeah. You’re right.
I like your Reputation snake earrings, too. Dave: We found them on sale somewhere so we had to get them. There was a lot of planning going into this.
Amit, 47 Mumbai, India
We are here from a really long way away. We’re here from India. And we actually planned our whole summer vacation around this, because they are Swifties. So we came about 10,000 miles, to Philadelphia, to watch this show. We told her this morning.
This morning! She thought she was having major FOMO that she was in Philly and not able to go here. But we bought the tickets in November.
No way. And are you a Taylor Swift fan yourself? Well, I have listened to it a lot because I drive my kids around. And I must say, I’ve never seen a city overtaken by fans the way I have here. The whole [hotel] lobby was full of Swifties.
Daniel, 42, and Joey, 8 Morgantown, WV
How long have you been a Taylor Swift dad? Daniel [gestures to Joey ]: Well, eight years. Although, my wife has... I mean, we’ve been together for 12-plus. She’s a big Swiftie, so I know a whole lot of Taylor Swift.
What’s your favorite Taylor Swift song? Daniel: Probably “Champagne Problems.”
What about it speaks to you? Daniel [ laughing ]: I’ll tell you, I really would just listen to Taylor Swift if she was on. But once Folklore came out—I actually really like Folklore . That is one I was going out and listening to by myself in the car. And this one, she likes Midnights .
Midnights ? What song are you most excited to hear tonight? Joey: Uh, “Vigilante…” [ looks at Daniel ]
Daniel: You can say it.
Joey: “Vigilante Shit.”
Are you ready to sing along, or are you more of a dancer? Daniel: Well, I mean, I'm probably going to flap a little bit. I’m a seagull.
You’re a seagull? Daniel: So, on the cover of 1989 …
Oh my god, this is deep lore. Daniel: Yeah, yeah. [On the album cover,] Taylor Swift has a shirt with clouds and seagulls on it. So [ gestures to family dressed in sky-patterned outfits ], we’ve got all my sky here.
Did you come up with this? Daniel: My wife, man. She’s the brains.
Bryan, 50, Delaney, 16, and Emma, 14 Perkasi, PA
Would you consider you, yourself, a Taylor Swift fan? Bryan: Sure. Definitely. I have her albums downloaded on my phone. Saved her as a Sirius [radio] alert as well, in my truck.
What percentage of her lyrics do you think you know? Bryan: For half the songs, a hundred percent of the words…
Emma: …the other half, zero percent. We’re [both] a hundred percent.
Bryan: Yeah, they’re all 110%.
What era do you think your dad is in? Delaney: I think he’s 1989 . He’s definitely 1989 .
Bryan: I’m in my “Shake It Off” era.
“Shake It Off,” what does that song make you feel? Bryan: Just a great catchy tune.
Emma: Makes him want to shake!
Bryan: Yeah. That’s it.
Ethan, 18, and Tom, 53 Landsall, PA
How long have you been a Taylor Swift dad? Tom [ to Ethan ]: How long have I been a Taylor Swift dad?
Ethan: Since 2009.
What happened in 2009? Ethan: I listened to “Love Story” on the radio. That was my entry point.
Do you have a favorite Taylor Swift song? Ethan: That’s a great question. I think my favorite Taylor Swift song right now would have to be “This Is Me Trying.”
Tom: I like that one with the red dress.
Which one? Tom: She’s in the desert. “Remember me with the red dress…”
Ethan: Oh, “Wildest Dreams.” Taylor’s Version, obviously.
Tom: Yeah. I like that video .
What do you think each of your eras are? Ethan: I think my era would be Red (Taylor's Version) , and I think his era, Evermore .
Tom: I’ll take his word for it.
Kevin, 54 Baltimore, MD
How long have you been a Swiftie dad? Since 1989 . My daughter was a teenager, and as teenage daughters do, we started drifting apart. When 1989 came out, it was common ground for us to come together. It really brought us together and made us closer, and it’s been great ever since.
Did you listen to Taylor on the drive up here? We did. We actually listened to the last two tour stop [setlist] playlists so we could get up to speed.
And even though 1989 is your favorite, what do you think is your era? Hard to say. I would say, probably, the thing I feel… Reputation .
What about Reputation speaks to you? I think that’s the one where she really stands up and pushes back really against everybody and says, “I’ve taken enough crap, now I’m giving it back.”
Also—can you tell me where this shirt came from? Actually, I was watching “What to Do at Taylor Swift Concerts” on TikTok, and I saw an ad for it.
That’s amazing. Is your For You feed just full of Taylor Swift videos? Oh, it absolutely is. And more than that, fan events. The thing I love about Taylor Swift, as much as her lyrics, is the fact that she makes that effort to reach out to her fans and make that personal connection. You can see it really changes people’s lives. I think anybody that’s put themselves in a place where they can make somebody’s life better just by showing up, it’s just amazing.
Dieter, 55, and Kate, 14 Buffalo, NY
You came all the way here from Buffalo. How long of a drive is that? Dieter: 350 miles. Six hours.
Six hours! Did you listen to Taylor Swift in the car? Kate: We did. The whole way here.
Dieter: The whole way. And this just happened in like, two days. She’s been asking me for weeks.
Kate: I made a Google slideshow presentation with 13 reasons that he should take me, and it had music synced to it…
Dieter: …and I’m like, “I’m not going down there without tickets.”
Kate: I really buttered him up the last day. And then we booked the hotel, and I was like, “Well, it’s too late to refund it, so we got to go.”
Dieter: And she told me she’d be happy to be just in the parking lot, breathing her same air space.
When you’re at a concert, are you a dancer, or are you more of a head-nodder? Dieter: Well, I’m a guy. So, I’m a head-nodder.
Kate: Except if she plays Red , he’ll be all over the place.
Chaitanya, 48, and Arushi, 16 Harrisburg, PA
What brings you all to this concert today? Chaitanya: She’s a Taylor Swift fan and it’s her 16th birthday. She’s born on the 13th, so is Taylor Swift. [ Ed. note: The number 13 plays a big role in the Taylor Swift fandom. ]
Do you have a favorite Taylor Swift song? Chaitanya: I don’t think I have a favorite Taylor Swift song. But the new songs, when they come out, I just pick that one and then it changes every time the new album comes out.
And where are you coming from? Chaitanya: Harrisburg. It’s two hours away.

What to Wear to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, Broken Down by Era
Whether you duked it out with Ticketmaster for tickets or are just going as a very lucky plus-one, you need an outfit that matches the vibe.
If you’re anything like team Marie Claire, you’ve been waiting for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour from the minute that it was announced. And whether you duked it out with Ticketmaster for tickets or are just going as a very lucky plus-one, you need an outfit that matches the vibe. Or, should I say, matches the eras of Swift’s music.
As a fan who got to attend the show in Boston recently, I was amazed at the wide array of looks at my show. Fans were decked out in Reputation -era snake print, glitter-encrusted face paint inspired by Swift's Lovers album cover, and plenty of DIY’d T-shirts from her Speak Now days. The bottom line? The looks varied widely, proving that you can truly go in any direction when picking your outfit for the Eras tour.
I love getting dressed up for concerts, but I also want to make sure that I can wear my new pieces again and again. It was a question I asked myself over and over while shopping for my own Eras Tour ensemble: Is the look good for me for right now, or good for me forever? In the end, I opted for a bedazzled mesh dress that I could also wear again on a night out over jeans or a slip dress . For the show, I opted to style it over a bodysuit for added coverage.
If you’re heading to the show this summer, there are a few key things to keep in mind, no matter what you wear. The show is long—five hours from the beginning of the opening act to the end of Swift’s set!—so you’ll want to wear comfortable clothing. Plus, if you’re the kind of fan who spends the majority of the concert jumping and dancing like you’re alone in your bedroom, you’ll want to wear something that you don’t have to worry about adjusting. Comfortable footwear is a must, so make sure that your new shoes don’t require breaking in before you go. Finally, the temperature tends to drop at night—especially if you’re at one of Swift’s rainier shows—so packing waterproof layers in your stadium-approved clear bag is key. (I wish I had packed a sweater.)
Ahead, I rounded up a selection of pieces for you to wear to the Eras Tour, broken down by Era. I’ve tried to think of everything: the shoes I’ve selected are known for being comfortable from the first wear. The dresses are comfortable to both sit and move around in. The jackets add warmth when you need them. Plus, many of the pieces below fall in line with some of summer 2023's biggest fashion trends .
Taylor Swift's Debut Album Era
If you’re dying for a debut self-titled album Secret Song at your show, wear something that harkens back to Swift’s first-ever era. This time in her career was defined by pastel blue and green shades, her iconic curling-iron curls, and her country twang. Consider cowboy boots and sweet tulle skirts.
Taylor Swift's 'Fearless' Era
Prefer gold to silver? The Fearless era is for you. This album had it all: Fireworks! A sparkly gold guitar! A gold fringed dress! More was more. To make it work, incorporate gold into your look via a pair of trendy sneakers , a going-out top in the hue, or by wearing a pair of viral gold jeans.
Taylor Swift's 'Speak Now' Era
Speak Now was defined by one color and one color only: A rich purple. It's the color Swift is wearing on the cover of the album, and it's the shade that has stayed attached to the record ever since. Sweet midi dresses and shoes that come in the same shade are go-tos for this era.
Taylor Swift's 'Red' Era
Red makes for an easy outfit because it only requires that you wear one color—red. Swift also went slightly preppy while on tour for the album, opting for a classic Breton striped shirt and red high-waisted denim . No matter which outfit vibe you choose, don’t forget your heart-shaped sunglasses.
Taylor Swift's '1989' Era
1989 is one of the more unique albums in Swift’s discography regarding her looks. While she repped matching sets on tour for the album, she's opted for orange ensembles while on the current Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' Era
My personal favorite era as someone who loves to wear all-black, Reputation- inspired outfits are perfect for those who prefer a little drama. From the actual sheer mesh dress I wore to my own concert to a statement-making choker necklace priced at under $50, this era is all about going all-out.
Taylor Swift's 'Lover' Era
If you love playing with color, consider a Lover- era ensemble for your concert. The key colors for this era were bright Barbiecore pink and rich blue, but pastel shades like baby pink and lavender —a trending color for 2023—were also popular. Go all-out with a heart-shaped stencil around your eye, or heart-shaped earrings.
Taylor Swift's 'Folklore' Era
Folklore was a departure from the previous maximalist Lover era. The aesthetic for the album was a combination of woodland fairy and cottagecore. On-stage, this translates to flowing summer dresses in muted shades like olive green. IRL, pair lacy layers with chunky cardigans and sweet Mary Jane shoes.
Taylor Swift's 'Evermore' Era
Cozy-core fans, the Evermore era is for you. Taylor’s second pandemic album was full of woodland references but, unlike its predecessor, the vibe this time around was very much fall-inspired. Flannel dresses, comfy Birkenstock sandals, and other comfy pieces reign supreme. Shades to highlight include marigold yellow and burnt red.
Taylor Swift's 'Midnights' Era
Good thing silver everything is one of 2023’s biggest trends—Taylor is obsessed with the shade for her Midnights era. Her looks from this time in her career are about metallics , drama, and deep shades like navy blue and fushia. If you can’t stop listening to “Karma” or You’re On Your Own Kid,” This one is for you.

Dad and Daughter Go Viral for Their Perfect Taylor Swift ‘Eras’ Outfits
This dad-and-daughter duo have a sweet tradition of going to Taylor Swift concerts together
If there’s anything the internet knows, it’s that Swifties are everywhere—even in the unlikeliest of places. Now, a viral TikTok video is showing that stanning Tay Tay is a multi-generational affair. A dad-and-daughter duo used the platform to show off the absolutely perfect coordinated outfits they planned for opening night of the “Eras” tour , and you’ve just gotta see this.
For Elyssa Kim and her dad, Edward Kim, seeing Swift in concert is a bit of a family tradition. They’ve been to several of the singer’s shows together, and the “Eras” tour is no different. But this time, they decided to post a TikTok video —first showing them flying to Glendale, Arizona, the location of the opening night show, and then showing off the fits they planned to wear that night. Of course, it’s all set to Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.”
@elyssakim TAYLOR SWIFT ERAS TOUR FIT CHECK !!!!!!! #loverera #reputationera ♬ glow up challenge – spencer 💅
The reveal happens, and we see Elyssa in a pink fuzzy jacket over a black sequin dress, paired with platform boots, heart earrings, and pink sunglasses. In other words, she’s perfectly on theme for the “Lover” era.
Then we see her dad, decked out in a black tracksuit that’s straight out of the “Reputation” era. They’re twinning without exactly twinning. They perfectly represent two different eras of Swiftdom. It’s perfect.
Commenters definitely agree. “Ur dad slays so hard,” one wrote. Another added, “first we had the Harry dads, now we’re getting the swifty dads!” referencing another dad-and-daughter duo who went viral for their fit checks before a Harry Styles concert .
Elyssa told Today that her dad was immediately on board with making the TikTok video.
“I was like, ‘Dad, let’s do this thing together!’ as I was on the plane because I thought it would be fun,” she explained. “Even before we left, I was trying to get a good spot and he said, ‘I’ll put my bag down so we can stand up the phone!”
The duo then followed up with a video sharing their post-concert merch haul.
@elyssakim Replying to @rockontali we stay strutting in matching taylor swift merch 😌 #erastour ♬ Bejeweled – Taylor Swift
Elyssa also spoke about the bonding experience of getting to see Swift concerts together.
“It’s been such a special bond to get to experience the show with my dad,” she said. “I’m so fortunate to have such a supportive figure and also be getting to be around Taylor’s presence. She’s such an empowering woman.”

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Outfits, from Her Versace Bodysuit to Her Roberto Cavalli Dress
Taylor Swift is channeling looks from her past 10 albums on her Eras Tour. Take a look at her best outfits, including custom pieces from Versace, Roberto Cavalli and more
Taylor Swift is proving she never goes out of "style" with her recent tour.
On March 17, the singer returned to the stage as she kicked off her highly anticipated Eras Tour . From show-stopping performances to creative transitions , the 3-hour and 13-minute set is a true spectacle but one of the best parts is Swift's stunning costumes.
As Swift takes fans through her extensive music catalog with her 44-song setlist , she perfectly pays tribute to her past 10 albums with custom outfits.
While some pieces are inspired by her different eras (the dazzling Versace bodysuit during the opener encapsulates her Lover aesthetic), other looks are direct references to past tours, including her Roberto Cavalli two-piece for her 1989 set and Nicole + Felicia gown for Speak Now .
Take a look at Swift's Eras Tour outfits ahead.
Taylor Swift's Atelier Versace bodysuit for her Lover set
As Swift opened the show with "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince" from Lover , she wore a custom Atelier Versace bodysuit adorned in pink and blue jewels, reflecting the dreamy pink and blue skies featured on the album's artwork. She paired the look with silver Christian Louboutin knee-high boots and a bedazzled microphone. During her Las Vegas show on March 24, Swift added a flower necklace by Versace to the ensemble.
During her second night of the tour, Swift surprised fans by wearing a completely different sparkling bodysuit. This look, also by Atelier Versace, was covered in blue and gold jewels, with a matching chain necklace and Christian Louboutin knee-high boots.

During her New Jersey show, Swift wore a new bodysuit by Versace, which included fringe tassels and beading. She paired the look with ombré boots and a Versace butterfly necklace, which was a co-design collaboration with Versace ambassador Dua Lipa.
Taylor Swift's Versace blazer for her Lover set
Before singing her hit song " The Man ," Swift completely transformed her look by adding a Versace blazer that complemented her Christian Louboutin knee-high boots.
Taylor Swift's black blazer for her Lover set
In addition to wearing a different Atelier Versace bodysuit during the second night of her tour, Swift also switched up during her performance of "The Man" by wearing a black pinstripe blazer with sequins.
Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli dress for her Fearless set
Swift donned her best dress by Roberto Cavalli as she performed a few songs from her album Fearless . The gold fringe dress was reminiscent of a similar look the designer created for her Speak Now Tour in 2011. She paired the look with Christian Louboutin boots and a bedazzled guitar .
For the second night of the tour, Swift donned a different Roberto Cavalli dress, which was slightly longer and featured gold and silver sequins in an ombré pattern.
Taylor Swift's Etro dress for her Evermore set
Swift went for a whimsical look as she performed various songs from her album Evermore in a yellow Etro dress that featured a corset top and beading detail down the front. For her bewitching performance of "Willow" she added a matching Etro cape.
During her New Jersey concert, Swift wore a new dress for her Evermore set, which was created by Marco de Vincenzo for Etro. This dress played into the woodsy nature of the Evermore album with a darker burgundy color and ruffles throughout.
Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli catsuit for her Reputation set
Swift slithered into a Roberto Cavalli catsuit as she performed her Reputation set on stage. The outfit, which featured an intricate pattern resembling snakes intertwined down the one long leg of the ensemble, was reminiscent of the many bodysuits Swift wore during her Reputation Stadium Tour as it was covered in black sequins resembling scales.
Taylor Swift's Nicole + Felicia gown for her Speak Now set
Despite only performing one song during her Speak Now set, Swift nonetheless left fans wonderstruck as she donned a Nicole + Felicia gown for her performance of "Enchanted." The gold gown certainly felt like a homage to Swift's Valentino ballgown from her Speak Now Tour.
Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad gown for her Speak Now set
During night two, Swift looked like a real-life princess as she wore a Zuhair Murad ballgown , this time in a pink hue that popped against the stage's violet lighting.
Taylor Swift's Elie Saab ballgown for her Speak Now set
During the first night of her Tampa concert, Swift wore a new dress for her Speak Now set, dressing up in an Elie Saab Haute Couture silk tulle ballgown embroidered with gardenia-colored organza petals.
In New Jersey, wore another Elie Saab ballgown in a pale pink. The dress also featured lots of tulle and detailing on the front.

During her Speak Now release weekend, Swift debuted another dress for her Speak Now set, wearing a custom Nicole + Felicia gown. The dress featured multiple layers, with varying colors of purple as a tribute to her third album.

Just before announcing 1989 (Taylor's Version) on Aug. 9, Swift donned a blue dress by Nicole + Felicia during her Speak Now set. She continued to wear different blue outfits throughout the concert.
Taylor Swift's Ashish shirt for her Red set
At the beginning of her Red set, Swift recreated her iconic look from her "22" music video, in which she wears a shirt that reads "Not a lot going on at the moment" with a fedora and shorts. For the concert, she made one critical change, dropping the "not" from the T-shirt slogan. The shirt was custom by Ashish paired with Christian Louboutin loafers and a Gladys Tamez hat.
Swift recreated her "22" music video outfit again for night two, thought this time the shirt featured a lyric from the song: "Who's Taylor Swift anyway? Ew."
While performing in Arlington, Texas, Swift wore another version of her "22" shirt, this time with the text "We are never getting back together. Like ever."
Taylor Swift's Ashish romper for her Red set
As Swift moved on to other songs on her Red album, including "I Knew You Were Trouble," she took off her "22" inspired shirt and hat to reveal a sequin Ashish romper in red and black.
Taylor Swift's Ashish coat for her Red set
Swift threw on an Ashish coat over her romper as she performed her 10-minute version of "All Too Well" on stage with a coordinating red guitar.
Taylor Swift's Alberta Ferretti dress for her Folklore set
Swift was back in boho for songs from Folklore , in a flowing lilac Alberta Ferretti gown similar to the dress she wore during her 2021 Grammys performance . She even brought back the Folklore house for the performance.
During night two, Swift wore another Alberta Ferretti dress, this time in an off-white hue covered in crystal embroidery. The gown's flowing, cape-like sleeves were made for twirling.
For her March 24 show in Las Vegas, Swift debuted a third Alberta Ferretti dress as she performed her Folklore set. This dress combined various features from her previous two dresses, with a soft pink hue, cape-like sleeves and sequin details throughout.
During night one in Tampa, Swift wore yet another Alberta Ferretti dress for her Folklore set. This look was in bright green featuring a plunging neckline, mesh detailing and leaves embroideries.

Swift wore a new Alberta Ferretti gown for her Folklore set on Aug. 9, just before announcing 1989 (Taylor's Version) .
Taylor Swift's Roberto Cavalli top and skirt for her 1989 set
Swift recreated one of her memorable 1989 World Tour outfits as she wore a matching Roberto Cavalli top and skirt. The pink set was perfectly paired with dazzling Christian Louboutin boots.
On night two, the star stepped out in a similar beaded matching set by the brand, but this time in a vivid green shade that continued onto her Christian Louboutin boots.
As she performed her 1989 songs, Swift opted for an orange Roberto Cavalli two-piece set with matching Christian Louboutin boots.
Taylor Swift's blue top and skirt for her 1989 set
As she performed her 1989 songs, Swift wore a new variation of her top and skirt set, this time in a striking blue color.
Taylor Swift's Jessica Jones dress for her acoustic set
As Swift performed a few acoustic songs during night one, including "Tim McGraw" from her debut album, she donned a Jessica Jones dress that featured cap sleeves and pleats. The designer has created many of Swift's most iconic looks, including numerous outfits from her Reputation stadium tour and her gold bodysuit at the 2019 American Music Awards when she accepted artist of the decade .
Taylor Swift's green dress for her acoustic set
Swift opted for a similar dress, this time in green, as she performed alongside Marcus Mumford for her acoustic set in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 25.
Taylor Swift's yellow dress for her acoustic set
Scott Eisen/TAS23/Getty
As Swift started wearing her orange Roberto Cavalli two-piece set with matching Christian Louboutin boots for her 1989 set, she began wearing a yellow dress on top of her outfit as she performed her acoustic set.
Taylor Swift's blue dress for her acoustic set
During the last leg of her U.S. tour, Swift donned a blue dress for the special announcement of 1989 (Taylor's Version) , which she debuted the album cover art for on stage. She followed up by playing the hit "New Romantics" from the album.
Taylor Swift's Oscar de la Renta t-shirt and jacket for her Midnights set
For the beginning of her Midnights set, Swift wore a similar look to the one seen in her "Lavender Haze" music video as she paired an Oscar de la Renta crystal t-shirt with an Oscar de la Renta faux fur coat.
Taylor Swift's Oscar de la Renta bodysuit for her Midnights set
As she performed "Midnight Rain," Swift did a quick costume change on stage as she took off her Oscar de la Renta t-shirt to reveal an Oscar de la Renta bodysuit. The outfit, which was in the perfect shade of (what else?) midnight blue, was bejeweled with various beading throughout giving it the appearance of a midnight sky. She paired the look with matching Christian Louboutin boots.
Taylor Swift's Zuhair Murad bodysuit for her Midnights set
For her March 24 show in Las Vegas, Swift switched up her Midnights outfit with a custom look by Zuhair Murad. The midnight blue bodysuit was covered in blue crystals and beaded fringes and even had a matching garter.
During her Los Angeles shows, Swift debuted a new bodysuit by Zuhair Murad for her Midnights set, which was fittingly in midnight blue bodysuit and "adorned with shimmering crystal embellishments, cascading intricate beaded fringes, and accompanied by a coordinating garter," per Zuhair Murad's Instagram .

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Outfits: See All the Looks She's Worn on Stage, Divided by Eras

Taylor Swift's long-awaited Eras Tour has finally started and the singer is delivering on all fronts — from performance to vocals and, of course, fashion.
On opening weekend, Taylor Swift gave us plenty of whimsical, elegant, and nostalgic looks as we traveled with her through the eras of her career. She wore a handful of familiar styles, with slight tweaks to fit her current style, and gave us plenty of sparkle and shine. Throughout 15+ more stop stops (and counting), Taylor has given us even more memorable fashion moments.

If you are scouring the internet to find out where each look is from, fret not. Here's a look at all the looks Taylor Swift has from during her Eras Tour — from opening night in Glendale, Arizona, to some of her most recent shows in New Jersey and Chicago — and what you can expect to see her wear if you plan on attending one of the upcoming shows.
1. Lover era
The first era is Lover , a time that signified growth, comfort, and basking in the glow of the daylight. Taylor starts the night off in a custom Versace bodysuit , bright and bold. She pairs it with an equally shiny pair of custom, studded Louboutin boots . Night one's bodysuit was a playful, iridescent purple color, and she opted for a slightly more elegant, gold-colored one for the second night of the Eras tour kickoff weekend.
The shoes are sparkly, but they aren't really the star of the show until she puts on a blazer, also studded, and also Versace, and performs "The Man." The shoes instantly grabbed the spotlight as she kicked her heels up and flashed the red bottoms. This is the first of several pairs of custom Louboutins that Taylor wears throughout the night – they're the sole footwear provider for the tour , just like during the Reputation tour.
At her show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, the star debuted a new Versace bodysuit that sparkled even brighter than the original one she wore. There are brighter crystals, shining in purple, and extra details, like tassels down her thigh. She paired the new bodysuit with a pair of ombré bedazzled Versace heels, also in purple. Adorning her neck was the Versace Crystal Butterflies Chain Necklace to complete the look.
2. Fearless era

In a seamless transition to the era that sealed the deal for her as a stage performer and style icon, the Fearless era portion of the night brought back shimmery dresses made to move around. The boots stay on, but she trades out the sparkly bodysuit to dance in a storm in her best dress.
One of the big themes in her clothes throughout the night is fringe, which becomes an accessory to the singer as she moves around the stage and dances around singing her best hits. This custom Roberto Cavalli dress allows her to do just that, move around freely and shine bright.
On the second night of the tour, Taylor opted for fringe down the legs in another Roberto Cavalli custom dress embellished with Swarovski crystals. Again, the movements looked just as mesmerizing in this dress as the first night.
As the tour has continued, Taylor has debuted another equally stunning dress to embody the Fearless era. The dress is similar to her custom Roberto Cavalli dress with fringe down her leg, but in silver.
3. Acoustic interlude
During the opening night, Taylor referenced her debut era playing her first-ever hit song, "Tim McGraw." This era falls into an acoustic set, where Taylor does one of her favorite things: She plays two surprise songs each night to give every fan a unique experience during the show they choose to attend. The acoustic, slowed-down portion of the show gives the fans a breather, a time to connect with their favorite singer as she’s able to take a seat at the piano and chat with the crowd before she gives a surprise performance.
During this segment, she has so far worn a Jessica Jones dress with ruffles that hug her frame as she sits by the piano. The first night she wore a magenta-colored version of the dress. On night two, it was green. We first wondered if we'd see more colors as the tour continued and TSwift delivered. She’s also worn the stunning dress in a yellow shade as well.
4. evermore era
Next up is evermore era, for which Taylor wears a simple but bright mustard dress from Etro , also custom. To perform the songs from this quaint but grand era, the stage is set with trees along a foggy backdrop. The tone of the show shifts here. This is where Taylor gets to sit at the piano and commandeer the crowd with her lyrics. There is no need for fringe and sparkles as the crowd sings along at the top of their lungs to "champagne problems" to accompany her.
5. Reputation era
During the Reputation tour, Taylor made a bold choice to abandon the pants and embrace the bodysuit. She brings that energy back to represent this era with one of the fiercest ones we've ever seen her in; an asymmetrical, show-stopping black and red colored custom Roberto Cavalli one . As we've realized by now, nothing on this tour will be dull on the sparkle, and this number features sequins studded along the leg in that infamous snake pattern familiar to this era.
6. Speak Now era
To sing one singular song from the Speak Now era, the fan-favorite "Enchanted," Taylor emerges ready to impress. You can't help but be enchanted by the soft glow reflecting off the sparkles of the Nicole + Felicia Couture bespoke gown she's wearing. This is reminiscent of the Valentino gown she wore when she sang this song on the Speak Now tour but grander, and of course, with more bling.
On night two of the tour in Glendale, Arizona, Taylor switched up this look and gave the audience an equally shiny but slightly different look, opting for a Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown with a starburst design embellishment.
This portion of the show is where she’s been able to switch it up the most. As the tour progressed, the star has given us plenty of glorious gowns to “ooh” and “aah” at. Another Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown was added to the Speak Now era collection, with thousands of sequins sewn on in a starburst design.
Some nights, she graces the stage in an Elie Saab Fall 2020 Couture gown that is full of tulle and drama. Other nights, she opts for something a bit more simple, but elegant: an Ellie Saab Couture gown from Fall/Winter 2022, straight from the runway that has fabric flowers sewn down the bottom half of the dress. This dress’s train drags behind her as she walks down the catwalk of the massive stage softly and slowly, matching the tone of the song.
The next era is introduced in a spirited manner as Taylor revisits a popularly recreated look: the "Not A Lot Going On At The Moment" T-Shirt from the "22" music video. This look is paired with a Gladys Tamez hat that she gives to a lucky audience member during the performance.
On the second night of the tour, she opted to poke a bit of fun at herself with a T-shirt that read "Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew" after lyrics from the song "22" instead.
As the North American tour reached its halfway point, she introduced another shirt that says, “We Are Never Getting Back Together, Like Ever.” The sequined shirts are all custom by Ashish , who also made the original shirt in the “22” music video. Once the t-shirt is removed, a beautiful red-to-black ombré bodysuit is revealed, fittingly so for the Red era.
When it's time to sing her magnum opus, "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," a sparkly red overcoat is added atop the already striking bodysuit. She puts her best foot forward for a song that has a story as remarkable as her career, with a red guitar to match.
She also used this time, for the first half of the tour, to bring out her collaborator and tour opener Phoebe Bridgers to sing their acoustic and emotional song “Nothing New.” On Bridgers’s last night on the Eras tour, Swift showed off a chain around her neck that held a small pendant. It was later revealed that the pendant was the Give You The Moon Charm from Phoebe Bridgers’ Catbird collection. Her footwear for this portion of the show is a seemingly comfortable pair of loafers from Louboutin .
8. folklore era
For the folklore portion, we see the singer in a beautiful, muted purple Alberta Ferretti dress full of ruffles and flares. It's "fairy in the woods meets cozy baking in a cottage," which are exactly the right vibes of this imaginative and rustic era.
During her performance of "august," Taylor uses body movements across the stage to express her frustration, and the lavender-toned dress added the perfect amount of drama and flair to the performance. As she moved, the chiffon fabric moved along with her seamlessly. On night two, she wore a similarly graceful Alberta Ferretti dress , but in white. It had curtain drapes with delicate hanging threads, adding a beautiful texture to its movement.
Taylor loves to swiftly move around the stage in various Alberta Ferretti dresses during the most emotional portions of the folklore era. She’s shown us two more versions of custom dresses that were created for this portion of the show.
9. 1989 era
As the night progresses, we see more and more fringe. How else would we see the iconic "Shake It Off" movements except in another Roberto Cavalli custom two-piece set covered in chunky fringe with sequins in various shapes and sizes? This look is similar to what the singer wore on her 1989 tour.
On the first night of the tour, the co-ord set was magenta . On the second night of the tour, she swapped it for the same set, except in bright green.
As the tour has continued, the pop queen has added an additional color to the 1989 co-ord repertoire. We’ve now seen the same Roberto Cavalli set in orange as well. How many colors will we see in total throughout the tour?
10. Midnights era
As we reach the present-day era, Midnights , we get to the peak of extravagance and pomp. It's time to celebrate the eras past that have allowed Taylor to become the artist and performer she is today. The dress she chose to perform the culmination of her career is a custom Oscar De La Renta that's looser fitting but still heavy and studded in iridescent crystals. It's paired with a new set of custom Louboutins studded in black crystals. To add more drama, she has a fur coat on, also a custom piece from Oscar De La Renta. Everything about this look screams "Bejeweled," a song placed near the end of the setlist but a vibe that's exuded for the entirety of the night.
As this era progresses, she sheds layers. The dress is shed to reveal an Oscar De La Renta custom bodysuit , an article of clothing she seems to be very comfortable performing in. This time, there's black detailing. It's soft but striking and just sexy enough to perform the Cell Block Tango-esque choreography to "Vigilante Sh*t" with chairs and all. She even added a garter to her thigh to give a bit of a sexy edge to complete the look.
To finish off the show, another layer is added with even more fringe and even more sparkle, if that's even possible. This multi-colored statement piece is fabulous, and it's a perfect way to physically represent just what the last three hours and 15 minutes were all about: Taylor celebrating and shining with the 70,000 other people in the room with her.

Thousands of Taylor Swift fans descended on SoFi Stadium this week in their Eras tour best. Some donned fringe dresses and cowboy boots, clearly in their “Fearless” era. Others sported all-black outfits and fishnet stockings, entering their “Reputation” era. Plenty were decked out in pastels and rainbows with glitter in the shape of a heart around their eyes, embracing their “Lover” era.
Aparna Mathur wore a black T-shirt and pink tulle skirt — at first glance, a rare but possible dual homage to Swift’s stylistically opposed sixth and seventh studio albums. But the gold, cursive print on her custom tee spelled out a different chapter altogether: her “mom era.”
“That’s my favorite era,” said Mathur, who attended Monday’s concert with her 9-year-old daughter, Suraiya.
The 43-year-old attorney from Orange County was among countless mothers who made the pilgrimage to Inglewood with their daughters. Some were longtime Swifties eager to share their love of the “Midnights” artist with the next generation. Others, like Mathur, only recently boarded the Swift train thanks to their daughters’ infectious enthusiasm for her music.
For many, it was a little bit of both.
“The earlier eras like ‘Speak Now’ and ‘Fearless,’ I was really young, so … [my mom] played those albums for me,” said 14-year-old Sydney, who arrived at SoFi on Monday with her mother, Luchanna Hall. “I showed her ‘Folklore’ and her later albums.”

When asked who introduced whom to Swift’s catalog, Andrea Bendzick, 49, proudly proclaimed, “I introduced my daughter.” Bendzick first saw Swift live during the Fearless tour, then took her now-18-year-old daughter, Maddie, to see the “Enchanted” singer during her “Speak Now” era.
The gift of Swift is something that Maddie appreciates. She said that listening to the Grammy winner’s music helped build a generational bridge of common interest with her mom.
“Taylor is one of the only artists that I feel has accurately described what it means to grow up as a woman,” Maddie said.
“Having my mom introduce me to her at such a young age sort of helped me grow through music and just helped me connect to something that we could both relate to.”
Taylor sang their lives: Swift helped as they faced haters, grieved, grew up, fans say
On the third night of Taylor Swift’s marathon of SoFi Stadium shows for her sold-out Eras tour, fans shared how the songwriter’s music had changed their lives.
Aug. 7, 2023
Maddie’s 21-year-old cousin Olivia, who was there with her mom, Mildred Bay, echoed that sentiment.
“Almost every single one of Taylor’s songs is so relatable for every woman ,” Olivia shared. “It’s just very cool, especially in this environment, to see how many people outside of our family are also connected to Taylor through her music.”
Bay, who came down from Washington state to attend her first Swift concert, said she was excited to share this moment with her daughter and would follow her daughter’s lead on how to conduct herself. “I’m just along for the ride,” she said.
Bendzick, the Orange County native whose favorite Swift era is “Red,” knew she would introduce her daughter to Swift at an early age because she understood the importance of having a positive role model for her child to obsess over.
“If your child, especially your daughter, is going to have a role model, she’s gonna take it very, very seriously,” Bendzick said.
“It’s something that I’ve noticed as a mom. You’re very aware all the time of who’s influencing your kids and the messages they’re sending. And I think she sends a very strong message, especially to young girls.”
Swift in L.A.: Vendors are in their Taylor era
On the first of a six-night stretch at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, the Swifties packed the streets in their glitter and glam, but they weren’t the only ones surrounding the stadium that night.
Aug. 4, 2023
Hall also hailed Swift as an “inspirational” figure and “great role model” for her children. When her daughters were suddenly out of school because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Swift and the three albums she released in rapid succession during that time were there for them.
“She just seems to be a positive reinforcement to women,” the 47-year-old finance professional observed, “and we think that’s so important, especially raising two daughters.”
Multiple mothers credited Swift’s songs with helping them engage in meaningful conversations with their daughters.
Mathur recalled the moment her daughter asked her about Swift’s pro-LGBTQ+ anthem “You Need to Calm Down.” The music video for the 2019 single — which celebrated prominent LGBTQ+ figures from Laverne Cox to RuPaul — marked a turning point for Swift, who had previously been more guarded about her personal values.
The song signaled a turning point for the Mathur family as well.
“It was [Suraiya’s] first time understanding gay pride and people who are different,” Mathur told The Times. “That song really helped us talk about it as a mother and daughter, and she understands everything, so I thought it was … a really good introduction.”
Taylor Swift delivers emotional catharsis and anthems galore in epic, three-hour-plus show
Taylor Swift kicked off six sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium, and The Times’ Mikael Wood and Suzy Exposito were there to provide a full rundown.
Aug. 3, 2023
Suraiya — who wore face jewels and a “Be Happy” friendship bracelet to Monday’s show — said she had already learned about the LGBTQ+ community from her dad. But discussing the themes of “You Need to Calm Down” with her mom helped her “understand it better.”
“What did you say to me [at the time]?” Mathur asked her daughter. “You said anyone can love anyone?”
“Yeah!” Suraiya said confidently, before giggling and adding, “I don’t remember.”
Another Swift song with a message to impart, “The Man,” helped Linda Deitch educate her 9-year-old daughter, Eden, about issues related to gender discrimination. The 53-year-old attorney from Culver City and her daughter also discussed Swift’s decision to rerecord her back catalog in an effort “to gain control again over things that she felt had been taken away from her by somebody.”
“We talked about … how [Swift] wondered if she would have been treated differently in her profession and in her life if she had been a man, and why she might think that,” Deitch said.
It’s a love story, L.A. just says yes: How Taylormania took over the world
Cultural dominance. History-making album sales. Sold-out stadiums. Add them up, and Taylor Swift’s current moment has little precedent in pop-music history.
In the weeks, days and hours leading up to Monday’s show, moms and daughters across California bonded by jamming to Swift’s Eras tour set list, shopping for concert attire and then dressing to the nines for the special occasion.
Rylan and Evelin, a pair of young fans aged 9 — “almost 10” — showed off their pink tutus, bejeweled faces and Swift-themed friendship bracelets as they looked forward to enjoying their joint birthday present and “first concert ever.”
“ Ever ,” Evelin confirmed.
The Eras tour was also a first concert experience for Suraiya, who had compiled “a whole list” of supplies she needed for a perfect night. Mathur was happy to provide her daughter with “whatever she wanted.”
“I just wanted to make it special for her,” Mathur said as they approached the stadium entrance. “I hope it is.”

Scott Swift, 72, was accused of assaulting a photographer in February in Sydney, where his megastar daughter was performing as part of her Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift's father will not face police charges over accusations he assaulted a photographer in Australia.
Ben McDonald had told police that Scott Swift struck him in the face in Sydney on 27 February.
The alleged confrontation happened after the 72-year-old and his megastar daughter left a yacht following the final show of her Eras Tour in Australia .
At the time, a representative for the popstar accused members of the media of behaving "aggressively" towards her during the interaction.
Mr McDonald, 51, described the incident at the time as a "punch in the chops" that "didn't require medical assistance".
Following an investigation, New South Wales Police have confirmed that no further action will be taken.

Izzi Stricker roasts dad Steve Stricker over his outfits on the golf course and it's the most adorable thing
There isn't much to critique Steve Stricker in his golf game over his career. Twelve-time PGA Tour winner. Seven-time major winner on the PGA Tour Champions. Ryder Cup captain in his home state of Wisconsin. Winner of many prestigious awards for his work on and off the golf course. The list goes on.
But his fashion?
That's another story.
And his daughter Izzi, who's spending more time with Dad on the golf course these days , did what any good teenager would do: Roasted him on social media in the most adorable way.
Izzi spent the weekend with Steve , serving as his caddie at the PGA Tour Champions' The Galleri Classic in Rancho Mirage, California . During the event, she took a break to grade his wardrobe choices over the years. This included his hairstyle back in the day.
Steve Stricker's daughter Izzi roasts her dad in wholesome video at The Galleri Classic
"We pulled up the archives and we got some brutal pictures," Izzi, a Waunakee High School senior and Wisconsin Badgers golf recruit, told him at the beginning of the video.
First up was a picture of Steve sporting a mullet — likely from the 1990s.
"Is that a mullet?" she asked. "If you zoom in, you got a lot of hair back there."
Apparently, Stricker's good friend, Tiger Woods, was wondering the same thing.
"Tiger just texted me this last week and asked if I had a mullet," Steve said.
Izzi likes that look, though.
"He still gels his hair like this in the morning and I think he gets memories of flashbacks," Izzi said, as they both laughed. "That’s a good hairstyle. Overall, slick back, nice."
At 57 years old, Steve said, "I wish I had it back there. Not much there."
The hairstyle must have run in the family during this time. A photo of Steve with his wife, Nicki — who has served as his caddie for years — popped up.
"Now that’s a mullet," Steve chimed in, as he and his daughter shared a good laugh.
Izzi approved. "Mom looks good," she said. "She looks different, but she looks good."
Steve Stricker's fashion didn't pass Izzi Stricker's test
Steve's fashion needed work.
Izzi, who won the WIAA Division 1 high school state golf championship as a junior and senior , rated his shirts on the next two photos. She gave them a "five" and a "two" on a 1-10 scale.
"Oh, God. Oh," she said about one polo.
"What is that? Looks like a curtain," Izzi said laughing.
A photo of the family, including a younger Izzi, was next, from a golf tournament. Izzi was in her mom's arms.
"She was definitely a momma’s girl," Steve said. "I could never hold her. But now look at us today (as they hugged). But back then, I couldn’t touch Izzi."
Steve Stricker's daughter Izzi caddied for him during one of his major championships last year
The two are inseparable these days and Izzi has been part of her dad's biggest moments on the golf course the last two years.
She was there when Steve was an assistant captain of the US' Presidents Cup victory in 2022 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. She approved of his look at that event as they viewed a photo of the family together.
"You had some good outfits there, I remember," Izzi said. "That was fun. Ten out of 10."
Then a photo appeared of the two posing with the huge trophy that Steve won at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship last May , his sixth major championship at the time. Izzi had a role in the win as well. She caddied for Steve for the first time at the tournament.
"We matched that day, too. Remember?" Izzi reminded him.
"Definitely 10 out of 10," Steve said.
Izzi one-upped him.
"Eleven out of 10," Izzi said, smiling.
"Great memories of that one," Steve said.
This past weekend at The Galleri Classic offered more memories for Wisconsin's first family of golf. Stricker tied for sixth with Izzi on the bag.
