At NYATI Safari Lodge you already have one full day trip to the Drakensberg Mountains included, but guests are welcome to purchase an extra trip. Along what is known as the Panoramic Route you will find several look-out points. You follow the 60 kilometre (35 mile) long Blyde River Canyon.

The lunch stop is in Graskop where the guests also have the opportunity to stretch their legs and do some shopping.  Lunch is included. Departure from the lodge early morning.

As South Africans we do as much as we can to protect our wildlife, enjoy a one and a half hour walking tour through the Moholoholo Rehabilitation centre to get a better insight on the recue and rehabilitation of numerous animals. Moholoholo is sure to raise awareness not only on the natural injuries/deaths caused to the animals but also the human impact these animals have to suffer

Moholoholo is home to numerous birds of pray including Africa’s largest eagle and endangered Vultures, Lion, White Lion, White Duiker, Dassie, Cheetah, Hyena, Rhino, Zebra, Wild Dog, Leopard, Black Leopard and more.

South Africa is a country with great contrasts. On one hand, a modern country with well-functioning economy and infrastructure - and on the other hand, the original and authentic Africa. A visit to a local township is one of the best ways to get an impression of the local culture and its traditions. You will visit a pre-school, you will be invited home to a local family and you will experience the local witch doctor at work. A light lunch will be served underway, where you will have an opportunity to taste local specialties, after which there will be entertainment with singing and dancing.

A fantastic and different safari, where nature and wildlife sets the agenda. Experience the south African bush far from the beaten track on a quad bike. It is a four-wheeled motorcycle suitable for off-road driving.

A fun activity for the family and for everyone who wants to have another chance to get close to the wild nature and get the pulse up a bit. Because the trails are more about game viewing than quad biking, there are no daredevil stunts. The speed is slow and the animals always have right of way.

Guests are driven approx. 15 minutes up the terrain, from where the tour starts under the guidance of a local guide. The tours depart early morning before breakfast and late afternoon and lasts approx. 1,5 hours (2 hours incl. transfer to and from the lodge). 

Min. 2 participants and max. 3 participants per time. Minimum age 12 years. No experience required.

In March 2000, Tony and Shirley Joubert found a little starved orphaned baby hippo at the edge of Blyde River. The couple "adopted" the little hippopotamus, and therefore it has grown up among humans and domestic animals. Today, the tame hippo, named Jessica, is one of the biggest attractions in Hoedspruit, where both adults and children visit it. On this excursion you will have the chance to experience a day with Jessica, where she, for example, plays with the family's dog, gets feed from the hand and petted. Jessica is very affectionate and love beeing close to people.

To hover silently over the landscapes is a truly magical experience. The balloon ascends at sunrise, so you get to experience the awakening bush from high above. The tour will take you over the scenic, Lowveld section of the Blyde River offering stunning views of the Drakensberg Escarpment and the South African bush. Sparkling wine and snacks will be served after the balloon flight and a full breakfast will await you back at the Lodge.

The activity is highly weather dependent and will only be offered on days when the local balloon skipper believes it to be “balloon weather”. Departure from the lodge may be as early as 3 in the morning and will be confirmed the day before the flight (minimum of 4 participants).

We believe that safaris should be family adventures. Our Kambaku Kubs program is aimed at educating and entertaining young minds. There is so much to see, so much to learn. Children jump at the opportunity to become certified junior rangers by the end of their stay – a worthy accomplishment for the future custodians of our precious wildlife.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?

Conservation

Conservation is key for responsible tourism and is a huge part of what we do in Kafue National Park. At Mukambi we work closely with several NGOs, including Panthera and Zambia Carnivore Programme (ZCP), and the Department of National Parks and Wildlife and African Parks where we support anti-poaching and other conservation goals. The Zambian Carnivore Programme (ZCP) is a non-profit Zambian registered organization dedicated to the protection of Zambia’s large carnivores and their ecosystems.

A family-run lodge, Edjan, Robyn and their daughters have been dedicated to making a difference for the park and local communities since embarking on their Mukambi adventure twenty years ago.

Community is at the core of Mukambi. In the remote area of Kafue National Park, Mukambi Community School provides a high standard of education to over 80 local children and permanently employs 5 community teachers and 5 government teachers. Plus there are a number of other community projects making a difference.

Environment

Mukambi recognises the importance of responsible tourism. All three camps run 100% off renewable solar energy with Mukambi Safari Lodge being one of the first in Zambia to install eco-friendly battery technology LiFePO4. We also constantly strive to be plastic free.

At Ndutu our philosophy is for you to explore and enjoy our lodge and the local landscape at your own pace. Those in the know have long cherished Ndutu as the quintessential safari experience with its special atmosphere borne of the stories, images, memories and experiences that have been shared around our campfire. Our desire to make you feel at home here has encouraged guests to return year on year.

A relaxing day of sampling the resident wildlife near the Lodge, a lazy lunch and being absorbed in your journal, book or binoculars from the comfort of our seating areas inside and out, before a romantic dinner outside offers the chance to reconnect with your loved ones, family and friends during your stay.

A more energetic day might begin with an early morning bush breakfast during a game drive in one of many distinct landscape areas within the Ndutu Conservation Area: marshlands, acacia woodlands, soda lakes of Ndutu and Masek or the vast expanse of the Serengeti plains are all within easy reach – each with its own distinct wildlife populations and seasonal visitors. The marsh areas for example are favoured by big cats to bring up their young, whereas the short grass plains are where Wildebeest babies are born during the Great Migration.

As the sun lowers, join us around our famous Ndutu campfire, watch the sunset spread across the plains and the moon rise above the acacia trees. Or raise a glass or two around the bar to share stories and make new friends. As you return to your cottage full of good food and vivid memories from the day, listen for the haunting call of a hyena echoing through the woodlands before the velvet night brings a restful sleep. Ndutu is in an area without tsetse fly ensuring a peaceful stay.

The Lodge itself is also home to a long standing population of sleek and graceful genets – patterned to camouflage into the shadows, these elegant nocturnal creatures can be glimpsed perching on the rafters of the mess area. The genets have come to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere as much as Ndutu’s visitors.

Unique, catchy design of the African continent

2 love Africa is a travel blog, focused on tips and experiences about traveling through the African continent: overlanding, safari, photography and video tips, destinations, etc. The name has a double meaning: to love Africa and TWO love Africa, which is represented with two giraffes, as one of the most iconic and beautiful species of Africa. Giraffe symbolism is used to represent the natural world, uniqueness, pride, beauty, freedom, grace and flexibility. Unique continuous line design of the African continent is paired with two elegant sans serif fonts. Together, they create a clean and modern look.

ITALIAN SAFARI

Simple design that incorporate a deer in the lettering. I pick a deer to incorporate in the design to represent the company business (World Hunting Society).

The name of this brand inspired me. After reading the brief and seeing that the target consumer was avid male gym-goers. I thought of the most muscular and masculine animal - gorilla. The natural shape of the gorilla is already close to an M, but with a little tweaking I made him look more like it. I wanted a combination of sophisticated and rugged, so at the top I have smoother lines and toward the bottom it gradually changes to more geometric.

A Toast to Tusks, Jazzoo 2020 is the 31st annual black-tie fundraiser for the Kansas City Zoo. This year's event is African Elephant themed to coincide with the opening of a new $10 million dollar elephant exhibit.

Here I use two elephants interacting as this adds energy and movement to the logo. The baby elephant makes the logo more attractive and inviting - the cute element - which attracts us all. The logo can be used in monotone simply by removing the sun.

I have read again your Brief and decided simply to realize your idea cuz it seems really cool. I like that letters fit well around this compass. But only thing I changed are icon places. I think it fits better in the corners. Compass like shows different directions. Like North is a place or west is internet. Hope you will like it)
