Highlights: Seal was great. The first part was around 10 songs from the Standards album (but not my favourite, I’m beginning to see the light, which I have on vinyl from the early 60’s by Eugenie Baird). All well performed and in good voice - I was a little concerned having seen his slot on Strictly Come Dancing; it was not convincing; but no worries here. And then the transition to his main hits...he became far more animated, going into the crowd, performing and singing really well and getting everyone up..We thought he felt much more at home, understandably. But he is a class act still with great presence. A good balance

Lowlights: what a terrible venue. It was freezing cold and everyone kept coats, scarves, hats & gloves on just about. The ushers ran about trying to get everyone seated and move the queues along. The seating, well! 114€ a ticket to sit on some chairs they've picked up from a school refectory - and worse, around 12 rows back, we were on the flat, so once people stood up we were also forced to stand like it or not. Also meaning we had to watch through a forest of arms with phones in their hands recording everything. The concert was supposed to start at 8pm; a guy came on did 5/6 songs and disappeared around 8:25, whereupon we sat, not the 5 minutes we all expected, but till 9 before he appeared. People were really ratty, with slow clapping, ironic cheeers when a roadie checked an instrument for the umpteenth time. Someone made the sound of the Dax band harking back to the old 5 Nations and got a great cheer. Good he didn’t release the cockerels, but at least that would have been worth it. All to no avail, we sat there freezing. Not a place to go back to through choice this. This also meant that Seal had to deal with all the grumpiness which he did very well, chatting to everyone, speaking Fraench and making lighthearted comments

9/10 for Seal and a very tight band - although during the second part the bass drum made such a vibration it was quite disturbing; fortunately they sorted that out. Nul points for La Seine Musicale; they need to go along to the U Arena and see how its done - a real professional operation there

What an incredible concert! What an amazing entertainer! It is more than enough that Seal has one of the most iconic and uniquely soulful voices on the planet; but he went above and beyond during this show. He wooed the audience, leaving the stage several times to wander deep into the crowd and sing/share his songs with throngs of adoring fans standing around him and cheering him on. He allowed the audience to do more than "watch a concert", rather he brought us all into the show with him and included us in the heartfelt emotion of his amazing songs. The show was personal, intimate, unifying and perfect! The Mountain Winery Venue is one of the best places to see a show in all of the San Francisco Bay Area. When you combine a Big Time Performer like Seal with a small and intimate venue like Mountain Winery, you are destined for a truly special and totally memorable evening! "Kiss from a Rose" was electrifying; "Prayer for the Dying" oozed with emotion, "Killer" and "Crazy" had me leaping out of my seat. Seal's "new" songs, which he performed early in the night, were so richly personal that I rushed out and bought his latest CD immediatly following the show. Thanks Henry Olusegun Adeola Samuel for a great night of entertainment; one I won't soon forget!!

Seal was such an awesome singer and really enjoyed his concert from beginning to the end. He played all of my favorite songs such as "Crazy" and "Kiss from a Rose". The audience was really grooving and moving to the music throughout the whole concert and they really got up and showed the passion they have for his music.

Seal as you can see really loves to perform and just allow everyone to enjoy his music as much as he loves to create it. The special effects and visualization were seriously incredible as well. They went very well with all his music and were awesome to look at and enjoy during his performance.

I got up one time and started singing during his "crazy" song and felt as if I was tripping on some acid as I sang and watched the incredible visualizations they had playing on the huge screen in the background. The venue was really nice and I enjoyed the seats when I sat down they gave me a break from standing and were very comfortable.

Although I'm sure not very many people care about the seats they do help at times. The concert was really great and I loved all the sounds and music he played along with the musicians he had playing with him.

This is the 3rd time seeing Seal and as always, he doesn't disappoint. His voice, song list, charisma, just awesome and gets the crowd going. Now the one thing that was quite exceptional about this concert was, earlier on during the day he met a girl called Poppy busking in the centre of Manchester. He ended up befriending her and sang with her drawing quite a crowd. After that he was speaking to her and low and behold, she opened the concert for him before he came on singing her own songs. I cant think of any other artist that has ever done that. I hope that has helped to make her dreams come true and any talent scouts spot her. He also had a guy called Rhys Lewis who was on before Poppy as well, he was awesome. No music published as yet to buy, but defo gonna keep an eye out for him. All in all was probably one of the best experiences as well as concerts, as Seal had been filming the events with Poppy on his facebook site live throughout the day so a lot of us saw the day progressing. Absolutely loved it, see u next time Seal

I have been a Seal fan since the beginning of his singing career. I really appreciate him giving a performance outdoors instead of indoors. The outdoor concert is more comfortable and enjoyable. His performance was outstanding, songs sung great sounding just like his albums. I really love the aucostic guitar performance. Seal is a very talented man who gave an outstanding performance.

The concert was amazing. Seal is a great artist. I highly recommend his live performances. We had an awesome night at the Ruth Eckerd. Thank you Seal! He sang all his great hits. The sound was amazing. The size of the theater was very goo for this kind of concerts.

The best of the new from the Standards album or the first half of the show followed by a fine selection of greatest hits.

Seal was on great form. His voice showing no signs of diminishing with age. This was our third time seeing him and it will not be the last

It was a good show but for as much money as we spent it was not worth it. He only played from 8:30-10:15. There were no encores. He spoke a lot and his voice was not tip top (because of a cold I presume).

Seal sings onstage at a concert.

You’d be “Crazy” to miss this one.

From April 25 through June 12, R&B legend Seal will celebrate the 30th anniversary of his first and second albums — “Seal” and “Seal II” released in 1991 and 1994 — by taking all of his greatest hits on a 25-concert tour .

That includes huge gigs at Philadelphia’s Met on May 11 and New York City’s Beacon Theatre on May 23.

Those records include hits like “Kiss From A Rose” and “Crazy” as well as underrated deep cut classics like the soulful “Deep Water,” the propulsive “Future Love Paradise,” the smooth “Bring It On” and the ballad “If I Could.”

This run of shows, Seal’s first official trek since 2018-19’s international “The Standards Tour,” promises something different from your standard tour too.

In an Instagram post , Seal shared that he’s bringing along his original musical director Trevor Horn who will ensure fans can relive the sound they know and love.

On top of that, The Buggles will tour with Seal as well as one or two as yet unnamed special guests.

And if you want tickets, you can grab yours as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Jan. 27, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can  purchase on sites like Vivid Seats  before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Seal 2023 tour schedule

On April 25, Seal’s 30th Anniversary Tour takes off at Phoenix’s Arizona Financial Theatre .

From there, the four-time Grammy winner will play at venues all over the country including Dallas (April 30), Atlanta (May 6), Washington, D.C. (May 10), Boston (May 12) and Chicago (May 27).

Plus, Seal will stop into Las Vegas for a pair of shows on June 2 and June 3 .

The run ends on June 12 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre .

A complete calendar featuring all upcoming Seal tour dates, venues, show start times and links to buy tickets can be found here .

Seal new music

Although Seal hasn’t released a proper album since 2017’s “Standards,” he has steadily put out singles, remixes, remasters and Christmas songs over the past few years.

If you want to hear everything he’s been working on, take a peek at Seal’s Spotify account to explore.

Seal opening act

While we’re not quite sure who the “special guests” Seal teased are, we can confirm that The Buggles will open for Seal.

The Buggles, who you might know for their massive hit “Video Killed The Radio Star,” also happen to be Trevor Horn’s band.

This run of shows will be the band’s first since 2011 according to Setlist.FM .

Want to brush up on all things Buggles?

We recommend streaming “The Plastic Age,” “Elstree” and “Clean, Clean.”

The Japanese House confirmed to support The 1975 on 2024 UK tour

The run of 'Still... At Their Very Best' shows kicks off next month

The Japanese House has been announced as the support act for The 1975 ‘s upcoming UK headline tour.

Matty Healy and co. are due to embark on their ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ tour next month. The run of shows includes four nights at The O2 in London as well as stop-offs in Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.

Today (January 12), it’s been confirmed that The Japanese House – aka Amber Bain – will be opening for the band at the concerts. The artist is signed to The 1975’s label Dirty Hit, and has collaborated with the group previously.

Her 2019 debut album ‘Good At Falling’ was co-produced by the band’s drummer George Daniel, as was its 2023 follow-up ‘In The End It Always Does’ . Additionally, Healy contributed vocals to the single ‘Sunshine Baby’ from the latter record.

Last summer, The Japanese House supported The 1975 at their huge outdoor gig at Finsbury Park in London . Daniel played drums for the artist during the opening slot.

Earlier last year, Bain teamed up with Healy for a joint live cover of Shania Twain’s ‘It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing’ .

She later addressed the controversy surrounding the singer following his appearance on The Adam Friedland Show in 2023. Bain revealed that she sent Healy “a really long” message after she heard his remarks, expressing her “issues” with what he had said.

The 1975’s ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ 2024 UK tour is set to kick off in Glasgow on February 8. You can see the full schedule below, and find any remaining tickets here .

The 1975 will play:

FEBRUARY 08 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow 09 – OVO Hydro, Glasgow 12 – The O2, London 13 – The O2, London 14 – The O2, London 17 – Manchester, AO Arena 18 – Manchester, AO Arena 20 – The O2, London 21 – Resorts World Arena, Birmingham

Speaking to  NME  for a 2022 cover interview , frontman Healy explained that the ‘At Their Very Best’ tour name had been inspired by their growth as a band.

“When I made ‘A Brief Inquiry…’ , we’d grown up a bit,” he said. “The idea of The 1975 continuing to grow up wasn’t a fear because it wasn’t unsexy. Now it’s kind of the sexiest thing about us. That’s why the tour is called ‘At Their Very Best’. We’ve got our shit sorted.”

Healy confirmed in September last year that The 1975 would be going on an “indefinite hiatus” from live gigs after they’ve wrapped up their ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ dates in the UK and Europe.

Last November saw The 1975 release a live album capturing an ‘At Their Very Best’ concert in New York in 2022 .

Over the Christmas period, Healy teased the possibility of a new The 1975 record or solo LP on social media .

Pearl Jam announce June 2024 UK & Ireland shows

Part of the Dark Matter World Tour

Fresh from detailing their 12th studio album ‘Dark Matter’ and premiering the title track this morning (13th February), Pearl Jam have announced shows in England and Ireland for summer 2024.

The Seattle rock heroes will perform at Dublin Marlay Park on Saturday 22nd June, Manchester’s brand new venue Co-op Live on Tuesday 25th June, and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 29th June.

The support act in London and Dublin will be former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft.

The trio of concerts are part of Pearl Jam’s Dark Matter World Tour, which takes place in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand throughout 2024.

Pearl Jam tickets:

Tickets will be available two ways:

Pearl Jam’s last performances in the UK took place in July 2022 when they headlined two nights at BST Hyde Park .

‘Dark Matter’ is Pearl Jam’s first album since 2020’s ‘Gigaton’, and it was produced by Grammy Award winner Andrew Watt, who has helmed acclaimed records by Ozzy Osbourne, The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop and Eddie Vedder in recent years.

Pearl Jam recorded the 11-track album at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu over the course of three weeks in 2023.

The band premiered the album at an exclusive listening party at The Troubadour in Los Angeles in January where Eddie Vedder hailed it as Pearl Jam’s “best work.”

A description of the album reads: ‘Writing and recording in a burst of inspiration, ‘Dark Matter’ was born in just three weeks. As a result, ‘Dark Matter’ channels the shared spirit of a group of lifelong creative confidants and brothers in one room playing as if their very lives depended on it.”

The ‘Dark Matter’ album cover is adorned with striking artwork by acclaimed light painter Alexandr Gnezdilov.
