Ultimate Guide to Brisbane International Cruise Terminal

Finalised in mid-2020, the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT) is Queensland’s first ever dedicated cruise facility homeporting some of the largest cruise ships in the world. 

The 9300sqm Arkhefield-designed terminal features a 208-metre-long wharf, 270-metre-long elevated walkway, parking facilities and riverfront open spaces. 

BICT is located at 1 Cruise Terminal Dr, Pinkenba, also known as Luggage Point. The port’s close proximity to Brisbane’s Central Business District and its nearness to the airport makes it more accessible for both locals and foreign visitors. 

The Brisbane International Cruise Terminal is only open during the cruise ship’s berthing time.

Brisbane International Cruise Terminal homeports a number of cruise lines. Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Disney Cruise Line and P&O Australia. 

How to get there 

When the GPS systems may not recognise the official address of BICT, drivers can use Marine Road, which becomes Cruise Terminal Drive. 

The cruise terminal is situated at the mouth of the Brisbane River. It is a 15-minute drive (12km) from Brisbane Airport and a 30-minute drive (21km) from the CBD. It is close to major arterial roads such as the Gateway Motorway and Kingsford Smith Drive.

From the airport

It will only take about 15-17 minutes (without traffic) to travel from Brisbane Airport to Brisbane International Cruise Terminal. 

Guests/passengers may take a taxi, or rideshare like Uber, Ola, or DiDi, or pre-book a private transfer like the door-to-door shuttle services, Con-X-ion . Additionally, those who are traveling with a private vehicle may take the route via Lomandra Dr and State Route 25 (12.8km).

BICT is not currently serviced by public transport .

From Brisbane Central Business District (CBD)

It only takes approximately 29 minutes to drive from Brisbane CBD to BICT via Airport Link (22.4 km). And more or less 30 minutes via State Route 26. 

Guests and travelers must also alot several minutes more to consider the traffic especially during rush hours. 

Parking at BICT

Onsite parking at Brisbane International Cruise Terminal is managed by Wilson Parking. For travelers and guests, they may make their bookings via the Wilson Parking website: www.wilsonparking.com.au.

The plan to extend the car park of BICT and add an extra 340 parking spaces is now underway. The additional car parks will increase BICT’s total onsite parking to 1282 parking bays for passengers and staff. 

In the event that onsite parking is full, guests and travellers can be dropped off or make alternative parking arrangements. 

There are also off-site car parking operators and private transfer providers in Brisbane like Andrew’s Airport Parking. You can contact them on (07) 3268 4222 or Portside Parking on (07) 3630 0922​. 

Moreover, there is a 2-minute Passenger Pick-up and set-down area located in front of the terminal building. It also has two accessible bays. 

Hotels closest to BICT

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland and Australia’s third-largest city. So, accommodation and hotels for cruise ship guests and passengers are not much of a problem. There is the Pacific Hotel Brisbane in Spring Hill which is about 16 km from BICT.

On the other hand, the Brisbane Central District also houses several hotels including Capri by Fraser, Stamford Plaza which is 15.7 km from BICT. There is also the Great Southern Hotel, Hyatt Regency, and The Point Brisbane Hotel which are approximately 16 km from BCIT.

Many of the airport hotels (Pullman/Novotel/Ibis) also offer transfers to BICT.

Hi Simon, about 35 minutes in non-peak period, via State Route 25 or the Airport Link from Brisbane CBD.

Thanks for the info. I’m leaving from BICT for first time in March next year. I’m staying in the CBD and Quantum of the Seas leaves at 4.30pm. As there’s no public transport to the terminal, I’m wondering what the traffic situation is like. I want to get on around 1.30 – 2.00. What time do you think I should leave? I’ll be getting Uber.

If you’re driving yourself to the terminal or someone is dropping you off, then you’re probably wondering what sort of car parking the Brisbane cruise terminal offers. The good news is you can park just metres away from where the ships depart from. However, the bad news is that the parking spaces and options are limited.

Luckily though, there are several options for the cruise parking Brisbane offers passengers.  Plus, given the terminal is not too far from the international airport, there are some options that serve both the airport and cruise ship passengers.  

There is also parking that offers a shuttle bus to the Brisbane cruise terminal – making it super easy for passengers to park and sail.

Brisbane Cruise Terminal Parking Information

Below is more detailed information about the different parking options at and near the Brisbane cruise terminal.

This is the closest car park to the cruise terminal. It is an enormous car park with different zones that charge according to the distance you park from the cruise terminal. 

The closest car park zone is only 50 metres from the terminal while the furthest zone is up to 500 metres away. As this car park does not offer a shuttle service, it is worth considering how easily you can transport your luggage to and from the terminal when choosing which parking zone to book. 

There are open air parking bays and bays with shade (these are canopy shades only and are not enclosed). Plus, there are parking bays for disabled drivers and bays with charging points for electric cars.

It is important to note that Wilson Parking only accepts regular sized vehicles. Any oversized vehicles or vehicles with trailers are not accepted.  

The closest, most expensive car park (P1) starts from $34.20 per day. This rate drops to $23.40 per day for P3 parking, the zone that is the furthest away from the cruise terminal. 

P3 also offers an hourly parking fee of $5 for passengers being dropped off or picked up by family and friends. 

Bookings for Wilson Parking can be made online in advance and are recommended as this is a very popular car park.

Looking for secure parking near the Brisbane cruise terminal? 

Andrews Airport Parking is a large secure car park 2 km east of Brisbane airport. It offers both undercover and open air parking and is open 24/7 so you can arrive and park at any time. The car park also accepts caravans, motorhomes and motorbikes. 

For peace of mind, Andrews Airport Parking provides CCTV cameras, security patrols and lock up warehouse storage. 

As this car park is valet parking, you must leave your keys behind with the staff. 

You can choose to have your car cleaned or even serviced on site while you are away. A thorough car clean inside and out starts from $75. 

Open air parking starts from $88.00 a day whilst undercover parking is a little more expensive at $95 a day. Don’t let this hefty one day fee put you off as the cost of parking at this Brisbane cruise terminal car park drastically reduces the more days you book for. 

For example, if you book for 14 days, undercover parking costs just $18 a day. Outdoor parking is even cheaper at $14 per day. Pre-booking is advised but is not essential. 

There are 5 shuttle buses that run on demand to and from Brisbane Airport and Brisbane Cruise Ship Terminal. The cost of the return shuttle journey is included in your booking fee. 

The journey from Brisbane Airport to the cruise ship terminal will take around 15 minutes depending on traffic. Using public transport from Brisbane Airport is not an option as the route involves changes and can take up to 1.5 hours. 

If you want to use the shuttle bus, Andrews Airport Parking provides rear and forward facing car seats as well as booster seats so this car park is a great option for families. 

This car park offers fully monitored secure indoor parking (your car will be inside and fully enclosed, not just undercover) as well as cheaper open air parking. 

There is 24 hour video surveillance and the cost of parking here includes the 15 minute return coach journey from the car park to the cruise terminal. 

The shuttle coaches run every 15 minutes and will drop you off just 20 metres from the cruise ship baggage counter. The coaches are scheduled according to the departure and arrival times of the various cruise ships. 

Portside Cruise Parking accepts bookings 24/7 but their on site office hours are limited to 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday and cruise days. However, if you need to pick up or drop off your car outside these hours, there is an after hours service available. 

The cost to park indoors for one day starts from $115 but again, the longer you book, the less per day you will pay. 

If you book for a two week vacation, the cost per day starts from as little as $18. To park outdoors in an open air bay for one day costs $90; for 14 days the daily cost drops to $16.

Cruise Terminal Parking Information

Sydney Short or long term parking is not permitted at the terminal. A three minute maximum drop off time is permitted and is enforced by Security Staff at the wharf. No parking is permitted in the lower George Street area from Argyle Street to Hickson Road. Parking is available at the Wilson Car Park, 155 George Street, under the Cahill Expressway and adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel. It is about a five minute walk to/from the terminal. Otherwise a limited amount of metered parking is available within The Rocks area (applicable parking fees will apply).

In Brisbane, cruises depart from either the Portside Wharf Cruise Terminal in Hamilton, the Multi-User Terminal (F1 Grain), or the General Purpose Terminal on Fisherman Island. If you’re planning on driving to one of these terminals on the day your cruise departs, you will need to decide in advance where to park. This can be an expensive proposition when left until the last minute - but it doesn't have to be!

Parking at Brisbane Cruise Terminal

If you’re departing from the Portside Wharf Cruise Terminal, you can either opt to park in Brisbane CBD and take a shuttle, or find parking nearer to Brisbane Cruise Terminal itself. It's worth noting that the majority of the private car parks that offer cruise parking are located in Hamilton, which is very close to the Portside Wharf.

Since there is no long-term parking available at Portside Wharf itself, the next best option is to park at a nearby private car park, and then take a shuttle onwards to your cruise. Most of the long-term parking facilities located in Hamilton are highly experienced when it comes to offering cruise parking, and are well aware of the needs of passengers, especially when it comes to assistance with luggage and swift transfers.

Out of the private garages available, the most well-known are Portside Cruise & Airport Parking, Andrews Airport Parking Brisbane, and Secure Parking. Out of all the available options, we recommend Andrews Airport parking because while their  name implies airport parking, it also offer low rates and free transfers to the Portside Wharf Cruise Terminal. Andrew's Airport Parking Brisbane ($150.99 for 1 Week)

*Currently only available for airport parking. Cruise parking must be booked directly with Andrew's.

When you park with Andrew's Airport Parking, the shuttle is available to take you to the domestic or international airport terminals, as well as the international cruise terminal, should you need it! Do keep in mind that if you intend to park for cruise parking, Andrew's shuttle buses only run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the earliest shuttle departing the car park at 10:30 a.m., and the last shuttle departing at 1:45 p.m. You can only book cruise parking directly through Andrew's website.

Portside Parking is a family business that has provided years of excellent service. If you are looking for a safe and reliable car park, with both indoor and open-air parking, Portside is a great choice! When you park with Portside Airport Parking, the shuttle is available every 15 minutes to take you to and from the cruise terminal.

Secure Parking has parking spaces available for rent, lease or to book online, near Brisbane Cruise Terminal. Primarily designed for short-term parking, Secure Parking’s rates are charged by the hour, which is ideal for those heading to the Terminal to pick-up or drop-off friends and family.

The first two hours at Secure Parking Brisbane will be free while parking for 2 - 2.5 hours will cost you $10.00, stays of 5 - 5.5 hours will be $32.00, and parking for 6 hours or more will cost $40.00.

Secure parking is not available on Flyparks at present.

Multi-User Terminal and General Purpose Terminal Parking

If your cruise is leaving from the Multi-User Terminal (F1 Grain) or the General Purpose, it’s worth checking with your cruise operator to see if they have arranged shuttles to and from Brisbane CBD. Facilities at the Multi-User Terminal and General Purpose Terminal are limited, and there is no long-term parking lot on-site. The closest parking options are in the nearby suburb of Wynnum, which is a $20.00 taxi ride away. These include a range of storage facilities and ad hoc spaces offered by private business owners. 

We wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't tell you to double-check with your chosen parking provider before your day of travel to ensure that they can transport you to where you need to go without issue. 

How Does Shuttle Parking Work?

If you’re considering using a shuttle service for the first time, for your cruise ship parking, you’ll find it easy to book and simple to use. After you’ve entered your travel dates, found a suitable car park near Brisbane Cruise Terminal, and paid for your spot, you’ll be issued a booking confirmation.

On the day of your trip, you’ll need to drive to the parking facility and present your booking confirmation to the car park staff. They will park your car inside their secure facility, and direct you to the next available shuttle bus. The shuttle bus will take you to the Cruise Terminal, and then pick you up again upon your return. You simply need to give the car park a call, using the number on your booking confirmation, and let them know that you’ve arrived back in Brisbane. 

Once back at the car park, you’ll find your vehicle ready and waiting, so that you can drive home in the comfort of your own car. 

How Far in Advance Should I Book?

Generally, the earlier you book your parking spot, the more affordable it will be. Most car parks calculate their rates based on factors such as capacity and stay length. As soon as you have your cruise tickets, it’s worth thinking about booking your parking spot as well. 

Where Can I Book Cruise Parking Brisbane?

While there are many competing companies in the Hamilton area, all offering Brisbane Cruise Terminal parking, you can easily and safely book your cruise parking with Portside Parking Brisbane or Andrews Airport Parking Brisbane in less than 5 minutes directly on their website. The rates shown on Flyparks are the same as those advertised by the car park - and we offer you the ability to make amendments to your booking, should you need to. This gives you both the guarantee that a parking space will be reserved for you, at the best price possible, and the ability to later adjust the dates, times, or number plate details, in case your travel plans change. 

Most private parking providers accept website and phone bookings, however, the prices offered online are usually lower, and cannot be found elsewhere. It’s always worth doing your homework, and comparing before you book. The car park which offers the lowest rates for a three-day stay may not be the most affordable for a three-week long trip. Your holiday starts from the moment you leave home, so it’s well worth getting online early and finding the best cruise ship parking deal. Once you’ve paid for a guaranteed parking spot, it’ll only be smooth sailing ahead.

Parking at Brisbane International cruise terminal

Can’t find any reviews so just wondering if anyone has any comments.

We are “dipping our toes” in the water again, first since 2019 for the Melbourne Cup cruise.

There are 3 parking areas at Wilson’s who run the parking.  Can’t find any contact No for them.  We are thinking of booking P1 which is closest to terminal.  All done on line, I have an on line account with them for the few times I visit the city centre and wonder if it is the same eg all automated.

Any comments welcome. Thanks in advance.

The undercover is just a high sloping awning that is really a solar panel collector. Any storm or hail that always comes in on a angle your car would be exposed. Not for my car .hope that helps .

We are cruising from the BICT in November and have booked our car in with Andrews Airport Parking which is close to Brisbane Airport. They do shuttles to the cruise terminal as well. We always use their undercover parking and have had no problems. This will be the first time for the cruise terminal and we had to pay a bit extra because the trip is longer. They will also pick us up on return.

We have used the P1 section of Wilsons Parking at the BICT for two cruises already. We were very happy with it. We were able to choose our parking spot. We wanted the cover to protect from hail. I believe that it falls pretty well straight down because of the weight of the ice, whereas rain often drives in at an angle.

I tried to book for our next cruise only to find that for P1 and P2, the spaces available for on-line booking are booked out. Bookings open 3 months ahead of the date. Our options are to pay more at Portside (an extra $60) or go to the BICT on the day and pay the casual rate that is higher than the on-line pre-booking price.

We have a cruise in March & as booking doesn't open until 3 months out for BICT I put a reminder on my phone. I figure if I can't book yet nobody else can. 

We found it very convenient to park there last time.

Thanks for information.  Went for a drive out there today and have booked P1 on line.  Thought about P2 but liked the shorter walk from P1 even though it was $50 extra (8 days).  I still don’t understand why this is out in the middle of nowhere. Lol

It is obvious that the terminal was built where it is so the large cruise ships can dock there. There is a wide turning basin at the mouth of the river and the water is deep to fairly close to the shore. There would not have been much point in building it in a place that is more convenient to reach, if only the smallest ships could use it. We already have that with the Portside Cruise Terminal. 😁 Large ships can't turn in the river at Portside and some can't get under the Gateway Bridge.

I have to ask, where else could it have been built? 🙂

Yes it was built for the large cruise ships.  My friend said the weather has to be quite flat before the ship can come into the new port.  They cruised an extra two days.  She is concerned about the cyclone season for her next cruise. The major reason a cruise ship terminal is not recommended on the GC by the experts is because there is no protection from the rough ocean seas.

If that was the case, we would have hardly any ships (cruise or otherwise) docking in Brisbane. When the Coral Princess was delayed returning to Brisbane, the Port was closed to all shipping by extreme weather. The last time I can recall that happening was in early December three years ago. 

Where else could a terminal have been built? The Port of Brisbane is somewhat sheltered by Stradbroke and Moreton Islands. A port built on the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast would not have such protection and it would be much further from the main centre of population.

I can't comment because I haven't been to the new port whereas my girlfriend has.   Both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast are tourist cities and would dearly love to have a port if they were suitable.  Mooloolaba has been unreliable.

Neither the Gold Coast nor the Sunshine Coast are suitable for a major port. As we know, they front directly onto the Pacific Ocean that sometimes isn't pacific. 🙂 Any port there would be closed much more often than the Port of Brisbane is currently.

BTW, the position of the Portside terminal meant that only fairly small cruise ships could berth there and it was not unusual that they had to delay leaving. If there were strong afternoon winds (and this isn't a major weather event) they were not permitted to turn in the river because of the danger caused by windage.

I cannot see any reasonable alternative for a cruise terminal for Brisbane other than where BICT was built.

Getting there

The Overseas Passenger Terminal is accessible by both train and bus, but please consider the possibility of unexpected delays.

Parking - Sydney

Short or long term parking is not permitted at the terminal. A three minute maximum drop off time is permitted and is enforced by Security Staff at the wharf. No parking is permitted in the lower George Street area from Argyle Street to Hickson Road.

Parking is available at the Wilson Car Park, 155 George Street, under the Cahill Expressway and adjacent to the Four Seasons Hotel. It is about a five minute walk to/from the terminal.

Cruise Parking can also be found at the Sydney Opera House Car Park, located on 2 Macquarie St. They offer a Cruise-In Saver of $25 per day (min 7 days to 14 days). Patrons will need to pre-book their Cruise Parking through the online booking system – Book A Bay. You can find all deals and information at their website .

Otherwise a limited amount of metered parking is available within The Rocks area (applicable parking fees will apply).

At the terminal

If you arrive early in the day, you can leave your luggage at the 'Bag Drop', which opens from 8:30am - from there you can enjoy hanging out until your designated "check in" time.

• St. George Bank, and ANZ ‐ in Pitt St, on right walking up Pitt Street

Brisbane International Cruise Terminal (BICT)

Address: 1 Cruise Terminal Drive (access via Marine Road), Pinkenba, QLD 4008

Note: Some GPS systems may not yet recognise the new address. If this is the case, use Marine Road , which becomes Cruise Terminal Drive.

It is located close to the Brisbane Airport, Kingsford-Smith Drive, and the Gateway Motorway, ensuring excellent road connectivity to the region.

• There are three (3) car parks providing onsite paid parking at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal.
• All car parks are managed by Wilson Parking.
• Car Parks 1 and 2 only accept online bookings – no drive-up parking spaces available
• Car Park 3 has a very limited number of drive up spaces – vast majority is online bookings.

Please note: Parking at the terminal is available at a premium, and is not included in your cruise. Parking should be booked well in advance of your cruise departure date.

I grew up in Brisbane, so I can say this. For the longest time we used to trumpet to the rest of Australia: “Brisbane has come of age! We’re a thriving, creative, cosmopolitan city now!” All the while suspecting that that wasn’t really true. Now, however, it is. Brisbane really has come of age. This is a thriving, creative, cosmopolitan city with a whole lot going for it – not least a down-to-earth attitude that you can’t help but be charmed by.

There’s a beach (but not a real one)

Brisbane, famously, is the coastal capital without a beach – except that’s not strictly true. In South Bank, just across the river from the CBD, you’ll find Streets Beach, a large lagoon with a (man-made) sandy shore. It’s an ideal place for families to have a paddle and escape the heat. There are real beaches, too – at Sandgate, Redcliffe and Wynnum – and surf beaches on nearby Bribie, Moreton and North Stradbroke islands.

Public transport is a tourism experience

No need to splash out on a fancy river cruise when you’re in Brisbane – just catch public transport and you’ve seen the best of it. The CityCat is a ferry service that runs along Brisbane River from Hamilton in the east to St Lucia in the west, calling past riverside highlights such as New Farm, Kangaroo Point, the CBD and the West End.

The Brisbane River is lovely

Here’s another thing no one tells you about Brisbane: the river is lovely. It might not rival Sydney Harbour for physical beauty, but there are plenty of ways to enjoy it. You can take a cruise (CityCat or otherwise), go kayaking, walk its boardwalks, or just sit in New Farm Park and watch the boats go by.

You can go rock climbing in the city

Find us another city in the world where you can scale actual cliffs with views of the CBD. The Kangaroo Point cliffs are 18-metre-high rock walls on the riverbank opposite downtown Brisbane, with climbing and abseiling options for people of all levels of experience.

The craft beer scene is buzzing

Brisbane is jam-packed with breweries, with taphouses everywhere churning out full rosters of IPAs, XPAs, lagers and seasonal brews. Some of the best include Sea Legs in Kangaroo Point, Soapbox Beer in Fortitude Valley, Range in Newstead, and Catchment in West End.

You need to get out of the CBD

Though plenty of accommodation options are CBD-based, there’s far more to Brisbane than the downtown area. Be sure to get to Fortitude Valley and New Farm for upmarket eateries and relaxed vibes, West End for alternative culture, Paddington for suburban charm, Kangaroo Point for riverside fun, and Teneriffe for great food and drink.

The art gallery is world-class

That’s right friends: Brisbane has a truly world-class art gallery. The Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) has hosted exclusive exhibitions by the likes of Andy Warhol, David Lynch, Picasso and more. There’s also an excellent permanent collection.

There’s plenty of hiking and biking

Bring your exercise gear when you come to Brisbane. There’s the Brisbane Riverwalk , a scenic boardwalk running from New Farm to Howard St Wharves; more riverside walking tracks from Kangaroo Point to West End; bushwalking to the Mt Coot-tha summit; and seaside strolls from Wynnum to Manly.

Moreton Island is just a ferry ride away

Moreton Island is a gorgeous spot: think giant sand dunes, shallow-water shipwrecks and flawless beaches. It’s also an easy 75-minute ferry ride from Brisbane, with services departing the Pinkenba wharf four times a day.

You can climb the Story Bridge

Sydney is famous for its Harbour Bridge climb, but visitors to Brisbane might be surprised to discover they can have a similar experience on the Queensland equivalent, the Story Bridge . The climb affords views of Moreton Bay to the east and the Glass House Mountains to the north, as well as unrivalled vistas of Brisbane River and the CBD.

The food scene is popping

For a while there it seemed like Brisbane was far too relaxed to ever fully embrace the fine-dining scene. But there are now many options for those who would like to take their eating to the next level. Fortitude Valley, in particular, has a host of exciting eateries, though you’ll never get bored dining in West End, South Brisbane and New Farm.

Yes, there’s alternative culture

Again, you may not immediately associate the banana-bending “Sunshine State” with alternative culture – but you’d wrong. Check out street art and LGBTQ-friendly bars and clubs in Fortitude Valley; laneways and art galleries in South Brisbane; and plenty of vegan cafes, music venues and breweries in the West End.

You’re in the home of Bluey

Parents (and kids) may notice something oddly familiar about Brisbane. Yes, this is the home of the fictional Heeler family, and the perfectly observed renderings of the buildings, parks and vistas of Brisbane on Bluey will make you feel instantly comfortable.

You can hear live music any night of the week

Let’s talk about great bands that have come out of Brisbane: Powderfinger, Regurgitator, the Saints, the Go-Betweens, Ball Park Music, DZ Deathrays … These acts don’t just appear out of nowhere. They need places to play. And Brisbane has plenty of live music venues, so much so that you’re bound to find a decent gig on any night of the week. Try the Triffid , Black Bear Lodge , the Prince Consort , the Tivoli or the Zoo .

Pub culture is booming

Brisbane loves a pub. The Brekkie Creek remains beloved, but there are so many others to check out. Call by Queensland classics such as the Regatta , the Normanby and the Pineapple Hotel , soak up history at the Alliance , take in views from the Story Bridge Hotel , and visit a CBD icon at the Transcontinental .

Accommodation has gone fancy

You want to stay somewhere unique? A small hotel filled with charm and character? Somewhere luxurious, but not outrageously expensive? Then Brisbane has you covered. Check into the Calile , the Inchcolm by Ovolo , Crystalbrook Vincent , or the Johnson .

You can enjoy some park life

Brisbane is filled with parks . There’s green space everywhere you look, and usually perfect weather in which to enjoy it. Roma Street Parkland is gorgeous, New Farm Park is always a good time, the City Botanic Gardens are worth a stroll, South Bank Parklands are also excellent … and that’s just the start.

Suncorp Stadium is right in the city

Sydneysiders will be shocked at this: you don’t need to schlep to the outer suburbs to enjoy world-class sporting and musical events in Brisbane. The 53,000-seat Suncorp Stadium is in Milton, walking distance from the CBD, and right beside pubs and restaurants on Caxton Street and Given Terrace.

This is a city that grows on you

Despite all you’ve read here, Brisbane may still take a little while to reveal its charms. It doesn’t have the outrageous beauty of Sydney or Perth, or the long-established foodie culture of Melbourne or Adelaide. However, the more time you spend in Brisbane, the more you appreciate just how great this laid-back capital is – and the less you want to leave.
