• Chardham Helicopter Packages

A Day-by-Day Itinerary of a Typical Char Dham Helicopter Package

Day 1 : the first day begins with your arrival in dehradun or haridwar.

When you arrive in Dehradun or Haridwar, the tour agent will be there to meet you and assist you with check-in procedures. Proceed with the check-in process at your hotel after being transferred there.

As you get used to your new environment and get ready for the journey, you can take the remainder of the day off and enjoy some free time.

Day 2 : Yamunotri

Transfer to the helipad in the wee hours of the morning.

Please take your seats in the helicopter as we begin our journey to Yamunotri, the first of the Dhams. After landing at the helipad next to Yamunotri, you can either walk to the temple or take a palanquin ride there.

Visit the Yamunotri Temple to receive blessings, and then head to the neighbouring Surya Kund and Divya Shila to learn more about the area.

Bring the helicopter back to the landing pad, and then fly it back to the base.

Transfer to your hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 3 : Gangotri

After breakfast, you will need to make your way to the helipad.

Day 1 arrival at dehradun.

Welcome to Dehradun. Upon arrival at Dehradun airport or railway station, our informed driver cum guide will receive you and transfer you to our  luxurious hotel for a complementary stay.  Spend the day to relax after the smooth check-in process and sleep homely for an exciting tomorrow.

In the evening, our team will be doing the tour briefing to the passengers, & provide them duffel bags for carrying only necessary things on the trip – Up to 5 kg/person will be permitted.

Day 2 Dehradun - Kharsali - Yamunotri

5:00 AM:  Check out from hotel. 6:00 AM:  Departure Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun (By Helicopter) 6:30 AM:  Arrival Kharsali Helipad, Yamunotri

Co-ordinator will take you to the state government  helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun from where we will fly for  Yamunotri . You are advised to leave your hotel early and remain energetic throughout this devotional Chardham yatra . 

Upon  arrival at  Kharsali  (Yamunotri) , you are welcomed by our handlers; they will unload your baggage and take you to the hotel. Relish a fresh  breakfast and leave for darshan in palki to Yamunotri temple which is around 5 km trek. Approximate time taken for Yamunotri Temple Darshan: Approximately 5 hrs 30mins (round-trip). Sightseeing at Kharsali: Hot Spring at Yamunotri Temple, Yamuna Mata Temple, Shani Temple.

After divine darshan, you’ll return to the hotel by lunchtime. Have your lunch and spend a few hours relaxing. In Evening pay a visit to the ancient Shani Temple  nearby and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 3 Kharsali - Harsil - Gangotri

Enter the most beautiful valleys in Uttarakhand : Harsil  near Gangotri .    After landing at Jhalla, passengers will be taken to Harsil village & checked in the hotel. Our handlers will take you to the nearby   Luxurious hotel near Harsil. After Early morning breakfast, you willl leave for Gangotri temple VIP darshan in Cab which is 20 km away from the hotel. Approximate Time taken for Gangotri Temple Darshan: 3hrs 30 mins (round-trip). The road distance to Gangotri temple is approx. 25 km, which is roughly a 50-minute drive.

Day 4 Harsil - Guptkashi/Sersi - Kedarnath - Sersi/Guptkashi

7:00 AM: Departure Harsil/Jhalla Helipad, Gangotri (By Helicopter) 7:30 AM: Arrival Sersi / Guptkashi / phata Helipad (for Kedarnath Shuttle Service)

You will arrive at Guptkashi/ Sersi/ Phata base helipad from Gangotri, after changing the chopper you’ll fly for Kedarnath which is  6-10 minutes flying  from the base helipads.

You may have to wait for sometime ( 10 minutes to 3 hours ) during helicopter change because of shuttle slots/ weather or technical reasons.

As you reach the Kedar-top Helipad. Our handlers will take you for VIP Darshans in the Kedarnath Temple. Your stay is arranged at the Kedar basecamp. After darshans we will take you from Kedarnath helipad to Guptkashi/ Phata/ Sersi Helipad.

Day 5 Sersi / Guptkashi - Badrinath

On the fourth day of your Chardham itinerary, you’ll be heading to Badrinath  and on the way you’ll see the deep valleys and majestic view of lofty Himalayas. Head to the beautiful city of Narayan, Badrinath. Upon arrival at Badrinath helipad, our handlers will transfer you to the hotel where you can relish your breakfast/ lunch and pay visit to Badrinath temple and have VIP darshans. Day 6 Badrinath - Dehradun

On arrival at Dehradun, we will collect the luggage from the hotel at Dehradun and drop pilgrims to the airport/ railway station or bus stand as per the departure timings. Tour concludes once we drop pilgrims to their departure points.

Tour will conclude on arrival at Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun. As this is NSOP flying, timings are tentative and may get changed subjected to permissions and weather conditions. We recommend you to book your return flight one day later.

Travel guidelines, terms and conditions.

FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS - This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour , and all departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs on each day of the tour, other-wise they will be considered NO SHOW.

COVID TRAVEL GUIDELINES  - COVID protocols shall be adhered by the passengers and Helicopter Company as per the effective mandate of the government. Without adhering to the government guidelines, boarding can be denied to the passengers without refund.

HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION - Maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding baggage weight). Passengers are taken on board depending up on the load and temperature conditions. Pilots call will be final. Total weight of all passengers on board must be within this limit. Hence, passengers are required to provide us their exact weights at the time of booking.

PASSENGER WEIGHTS  - Passengers have to submit their correct weights at the time of booking. If any change in weight found at the time of their travel from the submitted weights, which would exceed our aircraft’s weight carrying capacity of 450 kg, passenger(s) would be deboarded & cancelled for the Heli-tour without any refund.

OVERWEIGHT CHARGES : ON PER SEAT BASIS ONLY - Overweight charges are applicable @ INR 2500/kg. This will be chargeable to passengers weighing above 75 kg. But excess weight (not exceeding helicopter’s -total weight limitation) will only be calculated on the total excess weight above the total permissible weight of all the group members combined, i.e., permissible weight = 75 Kg x (No. of pax).

Furthermore, any discrepancy found in the weights of the passengers, which would be chargeable as per the overweight criteria, the same would be collected prior to boarding of flights.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE - Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kgs is allowed per passenger. It Is not permitted to carry suitcases or any other luggage bags in the helicopter. Therefore, duffle bags are provided by our staff to all passengers on the day of arrival.

In view of our helicopters’ limited weight carrying capacity, we reserve the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills . Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in same helicopter flight.

ARRIVAL DATE  - Our Chardham 4N5D Heli-tours are booked departure date wise. However, passengers have to arrive Dehradun one day prior to the departure date . Dehradun complimentary night stay which is provided on the arrival date makes our package a 5Night/6Days tour. The actual flying commences from day 02 of the tour.

SEATING CAPACITY - The maximum seating capacity for our helicopters is 06 passengers + 01 Crew.

INFANTS  - Infant below 2 years or 12kg are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.

BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER

Flying in hills is subject to bad weather, and many Force Majeure factors like delayed Air Traffic Clearances / Permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the passengers at the helipads, among others. Therefore, passengers must be prepared to face any eventuality and inconvenience in case of such scenarios.

We strongly advise our passengers to keep one additional day at hand , over & above the 5N6D period, to avoid inconvenience in case passengers get stuck at any of the destinations due to bad weather or force majeure scenarios.

Other Terms and Guidelines for Char Dham Helicopter Bookings 2024

• Airport transfers will be provided only on the arrival day at Dehradun, and on the last day, i.e., 6th day of the tour.
• Any donations, tips, pitthu, palki/pony and porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.
• AADHAR Card copies are to be shared by all Indian passengers, & passport in case of foreign nationals.
• Helicopter Company has its own crew at all the Dhams. For any guidance or assistance, passengers are free to reach out to them.
• Network connectivity at Harsil & Badrinath is very poor. BSNL & Jio are the main telecom services, that work in these regions mostly, but not always. However, our staff shall be with the passengers for assistance at all times.
• All temples in Chardham sector are located at high altitude, therefore passengers are advised to carry medication during travel. Also, they are advised to carry heavy woollen clothing with them, because during evenings & nights, the temperature can drop drastically.
• MEDICAL EMERGENCIES - We will not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the passengers. Therefore, in your own interest, passengers are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment or condition.
• Patients with psychiatric issues, such as depression or obsessive compulsive disorders or any sort of mental illness, will not be allowed to fly due to safety reasons.
• CARRIAGE BY AIR ACT, 1972 -  The carriage is subject to Helicopter Company regulations relating to the conditions of Non-International Carriage (Passenger and Baggage) framed in accordance with The Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and Notification regarding application of the carriage which is non-international. The liability of the company for damage sustained in the event of the death or wounding of a passenger or any other bodily injury suffered by passenger or by his registered baggage during the course of carriage by air will be governed by the provisions of sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the second Schedule of Carriage by Air Act 1972 with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications, etc as notified in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation Notification and as amended from time to time.
• Helicopter Company reserves the right to cancel passengers, who are unruly, abusive, intoxicated, sick, mentally unfit or anyone else whom we deem to be unsafe to fly. No refund shall be done to such passenger(s).

Our Heli-Tours are not available for the following VIP’s:

- Speaker Lok Sabha - Dy. Chairperson Rajya Sabha - Central Ministers of Cabinet Rank - C J I Supreme Court - Governors of State - Chief Ministers of State - State Ministers of Cabinet Rank - SPG Protectees – Z category only.

RESCHEDULING OF BOOKING

Rescheduling your booking to any future or prior travel date, will be done subject to availability, and on payment of 20% of the total tour cost. This will be permitted only if informed at least 30 days before arrival date.

In case rescheduling is requested less than 30 days prior to the travel date, then the booking would be treated as cancelled, & a fresh booking will be given subject to availability, after the levy of applicable cancellation charges.

PAYMENT TERMS

The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the total amount. Balance payment has to be deposited 14 days prior to the date of arrival at Dehradun. Passengers will not be permitted to board or commence the tour, unless full & final payment of the tour has been done.

FORCE MAJEURE & BAD WEATHER REFUNDS:

Tour Cost: 25% of total tour cost for each unutilized travel sector (Dham), minus INR 15,000 per person toward the flight preparation & ground arrangement charges.

Additional Services : Deduction of any additional services provided at any of the Dhams during the tour of the passengers will be deducted over & above the refundable Tour Cost. Refund against any unutilized service will not be calculated separately and added to the refundable- amount.

COVID-19 Case, or any National/State Emergency:

In case passengers test COVID positive before the travel, or the Yatra gets called-off by the government, or any National or State emergency is imposed, there will be no refunds applicable.

However, passengers will be provided a Credit Voucher by eUttaranchal Travel Network against the advance paid, which will be valid for one year. It can be utilised against any of our helicopter tours or charter services (for the full amount of the credit voucher), by the passengers or any of their friends/relatives.

BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES:

• Where bad weather, technical snags or any force majeure reason beyond Helicopter Company control results in the cancellation of your flight being delayed or cancelled, Helicopter Company will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, refund will be given to clients as per our refunds policy. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, meals or any other extra travel expenses done by the passengers shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.
• In case tour departure does not take place from Dehradun on Day One due to above reasons, tour will be considered as cancelled and full refund as per our policies will be made. However, in case the passengers would like to consider taking the tour on the next available date, a fresh booking can be made for the same. Our team will propose the available options to the passengers. The balance/unutilized amount against previous booking can be adjusted against the fresh booking. And any extra costs that would be accruing, will have to be borne by the passengers. In case the tour departs from Dehradun as per schedule but gets disrupted, while the tour is ongoing, our team will propose the possible revised itinerary within the scheduled package days, but without any extension of days.
• Any extension, proposed by the passengers, in the package will only be considered at an extra cost and subject to operational viability.
• In case for 05 straight days flying does not take place, full refund as per our policies will be made to the passengers.
• New Chardham passenger(s) scheduled for departure from Dehradun on any respective travel date shall be our top priority, over the back-log passenger(s) of previous days(s).
• Additional night halt charges will be payable by the passengers to hotels on direct payment basis, when they get stuck for additional nights due to bad weather/force majeure reasons.
• Helicopter may not fly to Harsil/Jhalla, in case of turbulent wind conditions – which is often in the Harsil valley after 1200 Hrs.
• If any passenger(s) require ferry flights to be operated for them in emergency, cost for the same will be charged to the party @ INR 125,000/hr plus GST.
• While the tour is ongoing, if any group demands to cancel their tour mid-way, the arrangement of transportation will be done by Helicopter Company , however, cost for the same will be borne by the passengers on direct payment basis.
• Any increase in government levies or taxes, after the confirmation of booking, will be extra chargeable to the passengers. Payment against the same will have to be made before the commencement of tour.

Disputes as to legality, interpretation, application or performance of service or any of its terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Uttarakhand Jurisdiction.

Departure and Return Location:- Dehradun (Uttarakhand, India)

Your Chardham Yatra will begin from Dehradun. After reaching Dehradun, our representatives will be available to receive you from the Dehradun Airport/Railway Station/Bus Stand. You will head towards the pre-booked accommodation for a complimentary night’s stay at Dehradun. It will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the hotel from the Dehradun airport.

*Please note that Leisure India Holidays must have your arrival information one week before your scheduled arrival to organize a seamless pick-up.

Furthermore, passengers should aim to be in Dehradun by 4:00 p.m. or sooner to begin their Chardham tour.

During the evening, our team will inform the yatris about the tour and provide them with duffel bags for packing only the essentials —  (Only two to five kilograms per person is permissible in duffel bags) . Travellers must keep all their essentials in their duffel bags as bringing their suitcases or trolleys onto the helicopters is not allowed. The auspicious Chardham Yatra will begin or start from the Dehradun helipad. Travellers must check out from their Dehradun hotels sharp at 05.00 a.m. Following that, our representatives will transport them to the Sahastradhara Helipad base. Our ground personnel would greet the travellers. The personnel will assist the travellers in settling into the waiting lounge. Where they will get their Pre-Flight instructions.

Then, they will board and fly to Kharsali helipad, Yamunotri Dham, by 06:00 a.m. After arriving at Kharsali at approximately 06.30 am. Travellers will check into their accommodation before starting the Yamunotri Dham journey. The approximate round-trip time for Yamunotri Darshan will be 5 hours and 30 minutes. The Yamunotri Dham has a 6-kilometer trek. So travellers will cover this 6-kilometre trek via pony or palki, as per the availability.

If operational, travellers may go for more sightseeing.

On Day 3, yatris will fly from Kharsali Helipad towards Gangotri Dham via Harsil Helipad. At 5.30 am, the travellers will check out from their hotels, and they will board the helicopter at 6.30 am. Arrive at the Harsil Helipad at approximately 7.00 a.m. Harsil is the tour’s most picturesque and lovely halt, the second Dham, well noted for its enormous apple orchards.

So, based on the temple rush, the travellers will visit the temple after breakfast or lunch. The approximate round-trip time for Gangotri Darshan will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The road to the Gangotri temple is around 25 kilometres or approximately a 50-minute drive. Harshil offers a variety of sites and natural trails for exploration.

• Passengers are not allowed to carry trolley bags because of the limited space; you should carry duffle bags or soft bags.
• Three choppers will fly on the same day for the Chardham yatra. We may adjust passengers according to their body weight.
• At Kedarnath shuffle, Rs 200 per kg will be charged extra if the passenger's weight is more than 80 kg.
• When changing the helicopter at Kedarnath or Guptkashi, the waiting time is between 10 minutes and 3 hours. Depending on shuttle slots/weather conditions, or technical reasons.
• Passengers may be divided into two groups while changing the helicopter at the Kedarnath/Guptkashi shuttle, depending on their body weight.
• Properties on tour are 3 to 4-star category except for Yamunotri as it is a remote or rural area.
• The weight of the total passenger should not be more than 450 kg.
• All passengers will be taken to all the helipads at least 1 hour prior to the departure time. In this case, sometimes, you may have to wait at the government helipad.
• Share your actual and exact body weight at the time of registration. We will check your weight before flying, and it shouldn’t be more than what you have informed us. The company have full rights to de-board a passenger in case the actual body weight exceeds the weight given by passengers. Kindly don’t share any assumed body weight.

According to the aviation department, only 6 people can sit in a helicopter, and the maximum weight of each passenger should be 72 kg; your weight will be measured before the take-off, and if we find more than the standard weight, you can be prevented from boarding the helicopter, in that case, you can contact us and get advice.

Also, the maximum capacity of a helicopter is 430 kg, which does not include passenger baggage, and a passenger can carry only 5 kg maximum weight with him.

Any type of flying is challenging in mountainous areas, sometimes in case of bad weather, busy air traffic, and passenger illness, the helicopter may be delayed or other unforeseen events may also occur, so passengers should be prepared for any such situation. Although adequate safety gear is provided by the crew, the passengers will have to keep their preparations complete.

For all the services contracted, a certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before you depart from your country or after your arrival to India as mutually decided between team management and guests. Management personnel hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Apart from the above, in some cases, like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resort bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance (as specified in your tour proposal).

Mode of Payment for FIT (Frequent Individual Travelers):

• 30% of the amount-confirmation of the order
• 70% of the amount – Day 1 of the tour.

Mode of Payment for GIT (Groups Independent Travelers):

• 50% of the amount – confirmation of the order
• 50% of the amount – One month earlier of the tour starting date.

The overseas advance payment can be made through a Wire Transfer to our Bank or by Credit Card.

In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

• 75 days to 60 days preceding the starting date of tour: NO RETENTION will be charged.
• 60 days to 45 days preceding the starting date of tour: 30% of package cost will be charged as Retention.
• 45-Timings are flexible35 days preceding the starting date of tour: 50% of package cost will be charged as Retention.
• 35-0 days preceding the starting date of tour: 100% of package cost will be charged as retention.

In case of special trains journeys and peak season hotel bookings, a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required). For flight ticket cancellation, airlines cancellation policy will be applicable.

• 25% of the total tour cost for each unutilized travel sector (Dham), minus INR.
• 25,000 per person toward the flight preparation & ground arrangement charges. 

Additional Services

Deduction of any additional services provided at any of the Dham’s during the tour to the passengers will be deducted over & above the refundable Tour cost.

• Refunds against any unutilized service will not be calculated separately and added to the refundable amount.
• If flying is not possible due to bad weather at Dehradun, then 20% will be deducted, and the balance will be refunded to the guest.

• VIP Darshans are subject to the orders issued by the temple authorities and State government.

• In view of our helicopters’ weight carrying capacity, Himalayan Heli reserves the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills. Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in the same helicopter flight.

• FIXED FLIGHT TIMINGS: This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour , and departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs. However, Himalayan Heli reserves the right to change/postpone the timings of flying one day prior, subject to weather/force majeure reasons.

• Passengers must submit their correct weights at the time of booking. Submitting incorrect weights may lead to passengers being debarred from boarding without any refunds.

• BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Only one baggage weighing a maximum of 5 kgs is allowed per passenger. It Is not permitted to carry suitcases or big travel bags in the helicopter; therefore, duffle bags will be provided by our team to all passengers on the day of arrival.

• Arrival/departure details must be provided at the time of booking, so that we can smoothly operate the tour.

• Passengers should book Dehradun arrival flights reaching around 02:00 pm.

• Kedarnath shuttle service: Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath ji in a shuttle services flight. And it is likely that passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in a same flight.

• Any sudden increase in taxes/levy by the State Government or the temple authorities, will be borne by the passengers.

• If online yatra registration will be compulsory, then passengers will have to do the same prior to travel.

• Comfortable clothing such as tracksuits or Kurtas are advised on the tour. As for shoes, one should carry sports or trekking shoes.

• Himalayan Heli has its own crew at all the Dhams. For assistance, they will be with the passengers always.

• Infants below 2 years (Max 12 kg weight) are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.

• In case an infant is on board, the weight of the infant will reduce the total permissible weight of that respective group.

• Any donations, tips, pitthu, extra porter charges shall be borne by the passengers.

• Airport transfer shall be provided on the arrival day or maximum one day prior to the arrival day, and the same would be applicable for the drop at Dehradun Airport. Only 01 transfer would be provided for each side.

• Network connectivity at Harsil & Badrinath is very poor. BSNL, Airtel & Jio are the main telecom services, that work in these regions mostly.

• All temples in Chardham sector are located at a high altitude, therefore passengers are advised to carry medication during travel. Also, they are advised to carry warm clothing with them, because during evenings & nights, the temperature can drop drastically.

• For the senior citizens and people with medical issues are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment.

• Day Zero: This is the reporting day at Dehradun, which is our main base (starting & ending point) for the Heli-tour. • Himalayan Heli arranges this night halt for the passengers, which is inclusive of dinner and breakfast, to wind down and be fully ready for the journey ahead. • Passengers will be picked up from Dehradun Airport/railway station/bus stand according to their arrival timings. • In the evening, there will be a Tour Briefing (mandatory to attend) by our Dehradun team, which will be conducted at 1900 Hrs. Duffel bags will be provided during the tour briefing, in which necessary luggage will have to be packed by the passengers – Maximum 5 kg/person will be permitted. Please note: Our staff will be taking the body weight of each pilgrim during the tour briefing; hence kindly ensure you attend the same.

Day 01: From Dehradun to Yamunotri

TO YAMUNOTRI

Yamunotri Dham is a 6 km trek from Kharsali village & it takes around 6 hours to finish.

Kharsali is quite little village has two sacred ancient temples which you can visit: Shani temple & Yamuna Mata temple (Winter seat of goddess Yamuna).

Day 02: From Yamunotri to Gangotri

TO GANGOTRI

• Location: Kharsali Helipad (Yamunotri)
• Arrival : 08:30 hrs
• Location: Harsil Helipad/Jhalla Helipad (Gangotri)
• Altitude: 8,200 ft

We fly from Kharsali to Harsil at 0630 hrs. Jhalla – Himalayan Heli’s second own Heli-base in the Chardham sector. After landing at Jhalla, passengers will be taken to Harsil village & checked-in the hotel. Gangotri Dham is at a distance of approx. 25kms from Harsil Village, which takes around 50 mins to reach. Harsil village is hands down, the most scenic stop of our Chardham tour. This place will capture your heart the minute you arrive here. Moreover, the endless sightseeing places here will keep you occupied throughout the day.

Day 03: From Gangotri to Kedarnath

TO KEDARNATH

• Location: Sersi Helipad

We fly from Harsil to Sersi at 0830 hrs. HHSPL has its own Heli-base in Sersi, from where we operate the shuttle services for Kedarnath Ji shrine.

You will be taken for Shri Kedarnath Ji darshan in one of our shuttle services flight.

Sersi is a small village in Mandakini valley. In the evening, we take you to an ancient temple nearby: Triyuginarayan temple – The venue of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati’s marriage.

Day 04: From Kedarnath to Badrinath

We fly from Sersi to Badrinath at 06:00 hrs.

Shri Badrinath ji Dham is 05 mins away from the Badrinath hotel.

The most popular place to visit near Badrinath Ji Dham is Mana Village – The last village of India.

Day 05: From Badrinath to Dehradun

From badrinath, to dehradun.

We fly from Badrinath to Sahastradhara at 0630 hrs.

As we arrive at Sahastradhara, our team will welcome you back to Dehradun and after that we will drop you to the airport/railway stations for your return journey.

COVID SAFETY

• Passengers have to mandatorily follow the government prescribed measures in regards to COVID-19.

• Passengers will be provided PPE gowns/kits, masks & sanitizers by our crew before boarding their respective flights.

• Passengers should ensure social distancing with other pilgrims at the time of darshan.

• Wearing a mask is compulsory to board the helicopter and must be worn at all times.

• Post-flight our helicopters are sanitized and fumigated for the safe flying of our passengers.

BAD WEATHER/FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER

• Flying in hills is subject to weather conditions. And in regard to our Chardham operations, we would like to bring to your kind attention that flight cancellations & other inconveniences due to weather are very much likely since weather is extremely unpredictable in the hills.

• Passengers should come prepared to face the eventualities which can arise by bad weather/force majeure problems.

• Force Majeure situations include cases of bad weather, low visibility for flying, delayed Air Traffic Clearances/Permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the guests at the helipads, among others.

• Further please note, in case of bad weather/force majeure situation, we will operate as per our policies mentioned in the ‘Terms & Conditions’ & ‘Important Guidelines & Policies’ sections.

Q.1:  How is the weather going to be? Ans: Please refer to Weather & What to Wear section. Q.2:  What kind of clothing should I bring? Ans: Please refer to Weather & What to Wear section. Q.3:  How will the food be arranged? Ans: All meals are included at each Dham, however, meals are not included during your stay at Dehradun. FYI, food is prepared separately for non-garlic & non-onion food eaters. Q. 4: What sort of meal is served in our Chardham yatra. Ans: Pure Vegetarian food is served to all our pilgrims without onion and garlic.

Q.5:  Which telephone networks work? Ans: Kharsali: All networks Harsil: BSNL, JIO Sersi: All networks Kedarnath: All networks Badrinath: BSNL, JIO In case your networks do not work, you can always reach out to our crew for any help or assistance regarding the same. Q.6:  Will there be a guide with us throughout the Yatra? Ans: HHSPL crew will be present at each Dham to assist you for all your needs. Our crew will also guide you during your sight-seeings. Q.7:  What kind of accommodation will be provided at places? Ans: Luxury hotels are not available at these remote locations,therefore you are advised not to keep very high expectation of hotels. However, we provide the best available hotels at all location.

Q.8: When should we reach Dehradun to start our Chardham Yatra? Ans: Guests need to reach Dehradun, one day prior to their scheduled Chardham departure date booked with us. Himalayan Heli provides complimentary stay on the first night, when guests arrive at Dehradun.

Q.9: How far are the Temples from the Helipads at each Dham? Ans: Apart from Yamunotri Dham, there is barely any walking distance at each Dham. At Yamunotri, there is a 6km trek to the shrine, which is done through porters/Palki/Pony. Arrangement for the same is done by Himalayan Heli.

Q.10: Will children be charged the same for the Chardham Yatra, or do they have any concessions? Ans:Children below the age of 2 years travel free of charge. For children 2 or above, full charges are applicable.

Q.11: Are we supposed to pay for the darshans at the temple? Ans: VIP darshans at all the four shrines are arranged by Himalayan Heli. However, special pujas are not included in our tour. The same can be arranged on request.

Q.12: When is the Chardham tour available? Ans: The opening date of Kedarnath ji is announced every year on the day of Maha Shivratri, and opening date of Badrinath ji is announced on the day of Basant Panchami. Whereas, both Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham open every year on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Based on the opening dates, our Chardham tours generally commence sometime in the month of May, and are operational from May-June (pre-monsoon season) & September-October (post-monsoon season).

High altitude do’s & don’ts, weather & what to wear.

PRE-MONSOON SEASON • In the summer months of May –June, weather remains sunny during the day & approx. 20-30 degrees at night – which is very pleasant. • Comfortable summer leisure wear should be carried during the May-June season.

POST-MONSOON SEASON • During Sep-Oct, temperatures remain pleasant during the day. However, they drop to around 10-20 degrees at night. • We provide disposable raincoats to our passengers in case of rain. • At Kedarnath & Badrinath, temperatures may suddenly fall below 10 degrees at night. Therefore, it is advisable to carry clothes for cold weather during these months.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES AND POLICIES

• This is a fixed departures tour, and all departure timings of each destination are fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the mentioned scheduled ETDs on each day of the tour.

• In respect of COVID-19, all necessary measures issued by the State & Central Governments would have to be adhered by the passengers. The measures shall be confirmed by HHSPL to the passengers 02-03 weeks prior to the date of arrival. Without adhering to the prescribed measures/requirements, boarding would be denied without any refunds.

• Guests have to MANDATORILY submit their correct weights at the time of booking. If any change in weight found at the time of their travel from the submitted weights, which would exceed our aircraft’s weight carrying capacity, guest(s) would be deboarded & cancelled for the Heli-tour without any refund.

• Overweight charges would be charged to guests who are above 80 kg weight. The reason for the same is that we operate at very high-altitude terrain where the weight carrying capacity of the aircraft is only 450 kg. Hence, due to overweight passengers we lose seats in our Chardham fixed departure flights. Overweight charges are applicable at INR 1,000/kg, for the total weight above 80 kg/pax.

• Weighing at the time of boarding the helicopter is a must, since HHSPL shall not allow boarding in case the total weight exceeds the weight limitation of the helicopter. &, due to the same reason, in case of more than 01 available aircraft, we reserve the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills . Therefore, passengers travelling together might not be accommodated in the same helicopter flight.

• When planning your tour, we strongly advise the guests to keep one additional day at hand at Dehradun, over & above the 5N6D period, so that they do not end up in problem in case the weather gets very bad after the commencement of tour, which may lead to extension of the tour. 

• Airport transfers will be provided only on the arrival day at Dehradun and on the 5th day of the tour.

• AADHAR & PAN Card copies are to be shared mandatorily by all Indians, & passport is required in case of foreign nationals.

• Network connectivity at Harsil & Badrinath is very poor. BSNL & Jio are the main telecom service providers, that work in these regions at times. It is most likely, that guests would be cut-off from the outside world during their time there. However, our crew shall be with the guests for any assistance required at all the Dhams.

• Guests would not be allowed to carry their suitcases/luggage in the aircraft. Duffle bags would be provided by our crew on the day of arrival, in which guests will be allowed to carry up to 05 kg of luggage during the tour.

• HHSPL has its own crew at all the Dhams. For any help, guidance or assistance, guests are free to reach out to them.

• Hotels at all the Dhams are non-star category. However, HHSPL has carefully selected the most comfortable & highest rated properties for their Heli-tours.

HOTELS TO BE USED: • DEHRADUN: Lemon Tree, or similar (EP basis – Meals can be included at an additional cost). • KHARSALI: Kalindi Hill Top, or similar (AP basis) • HARSIL: Harsil Retreat, or similar (AP basis)  • SERSI: Ghughuti Resort, or similar (AP basis). • Badrinath: Hotel Snowcrest, or similar (AP basis).

- Hotels & rooms are subject to sudden change at times, due to unavoidable circumstances. - Rooms are booked on double or triple sharing basis only. - If any guest requires a single occupancy room, it shall be extra chargeable @ INR 30,000/person (tax inclusive).

• All temples in Chardham sector are located at a high altitude, & guests are advised to carry their own medication with them during travel. Guests are also advised to carry heavy woollen clothing with them, since during evenings & nights the temperature drops drastically.

• Maha Abhishek & Rudra Abhishek Puja’s confirmation needs to be provided by the guests at the time of booking. Payment for the same shall be collected by our crew at Dehradun, so that we can arrange the Puja for the guest prior to their arrival at Badrinath & Kedarnath.

• Flying in hills is subject to weather conditions. And in regard to our Chardham operations, we would like to bring to your kind attention that cancellations & other inconveniences due to weather are very much likely since weather is extremely unpredictable in the hills. Therefore, guests should come prepared to face the eventualities caused by weather problems. Terms and Condition

• COVID TRAVEL GUIDELINES COVID protocols must be adhered by the passengers as per the effective mandate of the government. Without adhering to the government guidelines, boarding shall be denied to the passengers without refund.

• SEATING CAPACITY The seating capacity of our helicopter is 06 passengers.

• HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION Maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding baggage weight). Passengers are taken on board depending up on the load and temperature conditions, and the Pilots call will be final. Hence, passengers are required to provide us their exact weights at the time of booking. Exceedance of helicopter weight carrying capacity, will result in passengers getting deboarded & cancelled for the Heli-tour without any refund.

• OVERWEIGHT CHARGES Overweight charges are applicable @ INR 2,000/kg . This will be chargeable to passengers weighing above 75 kg . But excess weight will only be calculated on the total excess weight above the total permissible weight of all the group members combined, i.e., permissible weight = 75 Kg x (No. of pax). Any discrepancy found in the weights of the passengers, which will be chargeable as per the overweight criteria, the same would be collected prior to boarding of flights. Please Note: While submitting the body weights, please keep in view that you submit your final weight on the higher side, after adding extra weight of your clothes and shoes.

• ARRIVAL DATE Our Chardham 5N/6D Heli-tours are booked flying-date wise (Day 2 of the tour) . And passengers must report to Dehradun one day prior to the flying date .

• BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER Flying in hills is subject to bad weather, and many Force Majeure factors like delayed Air Traffic Clearances/Permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the passengers at the helipads, among others. Therefore, passengers must be prepared to face any eventuality and inconvenience in case of such scenarios.

• AADHAR Card copies are to be shared by all Indian passengers, & passport in case of foreign nationals.

- Hotels are subject to sudden change. - Rooms are booked on double or triple sharing basis only. - For a separate single occupancy room , it will be extra chargeable @ INR 45,000/person (tax inclusive) . - Hotels at all the Dhams are non-star category. However, we have carefully selected the most comfortable properties for our Heli-tours.

• We advise our passengers to keep one additional day at hand at the end of the tour , over & above the 5N/6D period, to avoid missing their return flights in case they get stuck at any of the destinations due to bad weather or force majeure reasons.

• ADD-ON SERVICES Additional services which are not mendtioned in our inclusions will be extra chargeable, and the same must be confirmed to us at the time of booking.

•Accommodation at Kedarnath Top: Accommodation at Kedarnath Top can be booked for the pilgrims. However, Himalayan Heli do not advise pilgrims to stay overnight at Kedarnath Top, due to high altitude sickness and lack of basic facilities such as Hot water, Heater & and medical assistance. Price - On Request

• MEDICAL EMERGENCIES Himalayan Heli will not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the passengers. Therefore, in your own interest, passengers are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment or condition. If Medical evacuation by Helicopter is needed, it will be chargeable @ INR 1,20,000/ Hr + UCADA royalty & landing charges + GST.

• CARRIAGE BY AIR ACT, 1972 The carriage is subject to Himalayan Heli Services regulations relating to the conditions of Non-International Carriage (Passenger and Baggage) framed in accordance with The Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and Notification regarding application of the carriage which is non-international. The liability of the company for damage sustained in the event of the death or wounding of a passenger or any other bodily injury suffered by passenger or by his registered baggage during the course of carriage by air will be governed by the provisions of sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the second Schedule of Carriage by Air Act 1972 with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications, etc as notified in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation Notification and as amended from time to time.

• Himalayan Heli reserves the right to cancel passengers, who are unruly, abusive, intoxicated, sick, mentally unfit or anyone else whom we deem to be unsafe to fly. No refund shall be done to such passenger(s).

• Our Heli-Tours are not available for the following VIP’s: - Speaker Lok Sabha - Dy. Chairperson Rajya Sabha - Central Ministers of Cabinet Rank - C J I Supreme Court - Governors of State - Chief Ministers of State - State Ministers of Cabinet Rank - SPG Protectees – Z category only.

• RESCHEDULING OF BOOKING Rescheduling your booking to any future or prior travel date, will be done subject to availability, and on payment of 10% of the total tour cost. This will be permitted only if informed at least 21 days before the arrival date. In case rescheduling is requested less than 07 days prior to the travel date, then the booking would be treated as cancelled, & a fresh booking will be given subject to availability, after the levy of applicable cancellation charges.

• PAYMENT TERMS o We accept payments via bank transfers, cheques, cash, UPI and card machine. o The booking is to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the total amount. Balance payment will be taken 14 days prior to the date of arrival at Dehradun. o Passengers will not be permitted to board or commence the tour, unless full & final payment of the tour has been made. o Payments via credit/debit card machine will incur 3.5% extra charges. o Payment via American Express / Foreign cards will incur 4.5% extra charge.

• Kharsali/Yamunotri: 20% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards Flight preparation charges.and utilized services (if any). • Jhalla/Gangotri: 25% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards flight preparation charges.and utilized services (if any). • Sersi/Kedarnath: 25% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards Flight preparation & service charges, and utilized services (if any). • Badrinath: 30% tour cost minus INR 30,000 towards Flight preparation charges. ,and utilized services (if any). • Full tour cancellation: Full refund minus INR 30,000 towards flight preparation and retention charges.flight preparation, hotel retention charges and utilized services (if any).

• REFUND TURNAROUND:- After receiving the cancellation request refund will be initiated to the bank account within 20-25 working days.

• BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES: • Where bad weather, technical snags, or any force majeure reason beyond Himalayan Heli Services’ control results in the cancellation of the flight or delay, Himalayan Heli Services will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, refund will be given to clients as per our refunds policy. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, meals, or any other extra travel expenses done by the passengers shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight. • In case tour departure does not take place from Dehradun on Day One due to above reasons, tour will be considered as cancelled and full refund as per our policies will be made. However, in case the passengers would like to consider taking the tour on the next available date, a fresh booking can be made for the same. Our team will propose the available options to the passengers. The balance/unutilized amount against previous booking can be adjusted against the fresh booking. And any extra costs that would be accruing, will have to be borne by the passengers. • In case the tour departs from Dehradun as per schedule but gets disrupted, while the tour is ongoing, our team will propose the possible revised itinerary within the scheduled package days, but without any extension of days. • Any extension, proposed by the passengers, in the package will only be considered at an extra cost and subject to operational viability. • In case for 05 straight days flying does not take place, full refund as per our policies will be made to the passengers. • New Chardham passenger(s) scheduled for departure from Dehradun on any respective travel date shall be our top priority, over the back-log passenger(s) of previous days(s). • In case of passenger get stuck at Kedarnath top due to bad weather or Force Majeure, the accommodation charges at Kedarnath will borne by the client directly. • Additional night halt charges will be payable by the passengers to hotels on direct payment basis if they get stuck for additional nights due to bad weather/force majeure reasons over and above the 5N/6D period. • If passengers require extra helicopter flying at the end of their tour, the same will be chargeable at INR 1,20,000/Hr + UCADA royalty & landing charges + GST. • Himalayan Heli may not fly to Harsil/Jhalla, in case of turbulent wind conditions – which is common in the Harsil valley after 1200 Hrs. • While the tour is ongoing, if any group demands to cancel their tour mid-way, the arrangement of transportation will be done by Himalayan Heli, however, the cost for the same will be borne by the passengers on direct payment basis.

• Any increase in government levies or taxes, after the confirmation of booking, will be extra chargeable to the passengers. Payment against the same will have to be done before the commencement of tour.

• DISPUTES Disputes as to legality, interpretation, application or performance of service or any of its terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Delhi Jurisdiction.

• Bookings will be taken, considering there is acceptance of the above-mentioned terms & conditions by the party.

• Arrival in Dehradun: Take a flight to Dehradun, the starting point of your yatra.
• Transfer from Airport to Hotel in Rishikesh.
• Rishikesh Exploration: Visit Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Ram Jhula, Sita Jhula, Lakshman Jhula, and Gita Bhawan in Rishikesh.
• Ganga Snan and Puja: Perform Ganga Snan (holy dip) and Ganga Puja at Triveni Ghat.
• Ganga Aarti: Attend the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti in the evening at Rishikesh.
• Dinner: Have dinner at the ISKCON temple, enjoying the darshan and delicious prasadam.
