VIC Rainbow Tours is a 100% GAY owned and operated private touring company, specifically set up to cater for the LGBTQ+ community. They know the area like the back of their hand. From where to pick up the tastiest food, the best coffee, the most stunning walks and secluded beaches. Even which areas offer the best opportunities to spot native wildlife, in an ever changing natural environment.
They have a range of modern vehicles. All complete with complimentary on-board WiFi, air conditioning, tinted windows with added UV protection from the harsh Australian sun, Apple Car play, privacy blinds, reclining leather seats, multiple USB charging ports to recharge phones and cameras.
VIC Rainbow Tours even provides thoughtful little extras such binoculars, picnic blankets, sunscreen, insect repellent, umbrellas and complimentary bottled water in all their vehicles, to make sure your journey is as comfortable as possible. Their signature tour is their 2-Day Great Ocean Road Tour (with overnight stay in Apollo Bay). Whilst accommodation is not provided in the overall tour cost, they can personally still help you source out LGBT friendly accommodation if you are on an overnight tour.
They also specialise in Tours to Phillip Island, where you can visit the famous penguin parade, have a tipple at a local winery, drop into a working Australian farm, meet the islands local koala's at a not-for-profit conservation centre, and even have a personal guided tour through one of Australia's most beautiful botanic gardens. VIC Rainbow Tours does offer tours to other areas if you wish to custom make your own tour. The flexibility is all yours! ... There is no better feeling than arriving at a key attraction or pristine beach and not being surrounded by other groups of tourists. We hate large groups of tourist just as much as you, as will try their best to get you to locations at their optimal time. An overnight time can give us the flexibility to ensure this is possible.

It's no secret that most animals are nocturnal animals. With that in mind, the best wildlife spotting opportunities, are most active at dawn and dusk, when the sun is rising and setting.
Sunrise & Sunset
Aside from the benefit of wildlife spotting, Sunrise and Sunset on Phillip Island or The Great Ocean Road can be a photographers dream. And lucky for you, we love sunrise and sunset just as much, and are happy to take you to any island location you wish, to get that perfect shot!

Whether that means perusing the local Sunday Farmers market, or checking out the nearby Grinder offerings (we are not here to judge), an overnight stay will allow you to 'connect' with the local area in many different ways that you don't quite get with a One-day tour.
Overnight Accommodation
Rather than push guests into a limited range of accommodation options, we prefer to give you the whole island to choose from and allow them to book themselves. We can narrow it down to an option from the below category. Or simply find your own little hideaway.

The island offers a good selection of Budget options, with a range of drive-in motels. Often this is where we (as guides) choose to stay, so the options have certainly been tried and tested!
The biggest range of accommodation on the island sits in this category. From small bed and breakfast properties to large chain apartment style units, we can help recommend which options might suit your group.
Live it up! Spend a night in one of the areas more premium offerings. High End accommodation is slightly more limited and can get booked up in advance, but we still have some personal favourites.

Yes. The lead passenger will receive an SMS at least 24 hours prior to the tour date from your chosen tour guide, Incase you have any last minute questions. The guide will re-confirm the pick up time and location, as well as give you some handy last minute information such as the expected weather conditions for your tour.
