What are people saying about cafes near Taytay, RIZ?
This is a review for cafes near Taytay, RIZ:
"Cafe I'm Here has a really big space considering that it is a cafe. I find their coffee okay, not bad but nothing out of the ordinary as well. But what I love about this cafe is their booths for seating. If you are fond of sitting in the floor or lying down, then this place is for you! It's a great place to hang out with your friends, chill and it is also a great place for study. They have ample electric outlets which make them also a great place to work or charge your gadgets. One downside is that they don't have wifi, which is one of the things I consider for a perfect hangout place. But if you do want to really talk and hangout with your friends, this will be a good place for you."

Taytay Tiangge Market – Is it Worth to Visit? + Tips and How to go to Taytay Tiangge
Rodel flordeliz.
- September 1, 2019
- One Comment
Taytay Tiangge Market in Rizal have been buzzing around the corner, trying to intrigue all of our curiosity. You might have seen this place being featured by different bloggers and vloggers in the society or even being published and or visited by known personality, showing us a wide range of affordable clothes and items. To tell you honestly, Taytay Tiangge Market (for what I think of) becomes one of the most sought after places in Taytay, Rizal.
This actually boosted my curiosity and urges me to personally visit the place. And the right opportunity just came in that I was able to visit Taytay Tiangge on a holiday and tagged some friends to join.
A known place for thrift buys, I brought just enough money, Php 2,000 to be exact, and expected actually a lot from the place.
I this blog, I will be giving you some tips on when to visit, commuting guides on how to go to Taytay Tiange, as well as to answer the question, was it worth to visit and travel to visit Taytay Tiange?
Taytay is dubbed as the Garments Capital of the Philippines, if you are into looking for fabrics this is the right place. And being a place where fabrics are manufactured and sold, comes the by-products of it – clothes. Taytay Tiangge is located in Club Manila East compound, that occupies a big area along Rizal and Rodriguez Avenue. Taytay Tiangge is just beside the New Taytay Public Market .
I visited the place during the holiday and we expected that there would be tons of people coming in the area. Just letting you know, Taytay Tiangge is not open daily, it is usually closed during Wednesdays but there are some stores that are operating still during this day.
Let’s begin by trying to commute going there. Here is a short description on how to go to Taytay Tiangge in Rizal.
How to go to Taytay Tiangge in different ways:
- From Robinsons Galleria – ride the Bus going to Taytay, these are either G-Liner or RRCG.
- Coming from EDSA Crossing – go to Starmall Terminal and look for the UV and jeep terminal, ride the ones going to Taytay
- From Megamall – You may take the Antipolo UV express. Go down at Tikling and take the jeepneys going to Taytay Palengke or Binangonan.
- From Quiapo / SM Sta. Mesa – take the Bus going to Taytay – G Liner / RRCG
- From Cubao – take the jeep going to Angono, Binangonan (located at SM Cubao Side or Ali Mall terminal)
Will give you a more detailed Commute Guide to Taytay Tiangge, Rizal really soon.
When we visited, we decided to bring a car. But it was slightly a wrong move after learning that parking space was a bit scarce in the area. So what we did was to park our vehicle in SM Taytay and ride a trike (Php 40) going to Taytay Tiangge. Here are some other tips and things you need to know when visiting Taytay Tiangge.
Tips and Things you need to Know About Taytay Tiangge
- Bring Eco bag, you might and might not buy a number of clothes so better be prepared for it
- The place was hot. So wear something light, bring a water to hydrate and oh towels and hanky to pat those sweat away
- Most stores sell the same item so better to go around first, compare, before purchasing.
- Bring cash, remember it’s a bazaar, tenants there do not accept credit cards or money transfer.
- Be sure to be there before 4pm to make the most of your shopping. But of course the earlier the better.
- Wednesday is a bad choice to visit the place, for most of it are close.
- Best day to go is Monday and Thursday , it was said that it is the time where new arrivals and new stocks arrive.
- The place is very clean and the government is really strict in implementing rules like littering. Please comply to all the rules which are posted in billboard all over the place.
- Do not forget to haggle . My tip in haggling is to go a little lower to the price you wanted to target. For example, the original price is 400 and you want to buy it for 300, go for Php 250, and slowly go up as you haggle. If your price weren’t met do the ‘go away’ action – which is the act of turning away and letting the owner knows that the other stores are much cheaper (of course in a subtle way, always be nice to people even in haggling). Try it, it may work.
- Stores usually have a single and wholesale price, which is much cheaper. You can do a wholesale by buying 3 items and up. Some stores even let you pick different items of the same price.
My Thoughts and Personal Experience
After watching a lot of vloggers doing their shopping hauls and even reading blogs about their personal experience about Taytay Tiangge, It leaves a high expectations on my end. I certainly believe that after visiting Taytay Tiangge, I could be able to go home with bags of clothes both for my self and my family. It even occur to my mind that there might be a chance I could resell some if there are some unique items.
But honestly speaking, I was a bit disappointed. The overall experience was meh . I do not know if its because of the feeling that almost all stores are the same that it struck me that there are nothing much to see. That it made me realize that I had more fun shopping in Divisoria or looking for items in Baclaran.
Add to that, there are I think 10 or 20% mens clothing compare to 80% females, hence there aren’t really much for guys to explore. For men, there are shops that sells shirts, polo shirts and button downs. One particular shop, also sells designer pants, which is actually nice. Though not really something to go gaga with. My haul actually just got 3 basic shirts for the price of Php 100 each (wholesale), button down for Php 200 each and an Indonesian inspired shirt I got for Php 350.
The female market got more items to choose from. I saw lingerie, shirts, skirts, and even cocktail dresses for an affordable price. Some stores even sell shirts for Php 95. But even though there are choices, jumping from one store to another, you’ll find almost same pieces. I guess that is the reason why my eyes felt a bit bored seeing same things in different places. It lacks variety. Some clothes’ fabric are also thin and poorly made.
A few more rants; it is hot, the traffic is horrible, and parking is very difficult.
One good point that I could say is that the government is very firm in keeping the peace and order in the place. The lanes are spacious and really clean. There are also food stalls located in the center, if ever you felt hungry while shopping. And if you are into bargaining, this is the right place for you.
A friend says that if you are also looking for affordable fabrics and cloth, Taytay is best place to visit. And it is true!
At the end, It actually falls down on your taste, if you are into the not so quality items for a very affordable price, you will definitely enjoy shopping in this place. You can even buy gifts for your family and friends as early as today. There are some good finds within the area but I can say it is really imperceptible.
But if you are into finding for a more quality made products without wasting your time to travel to Taytay, probably go and visit another place.

Your Complete Taytay Tiangge Guide: 2020 Schedule & Prices
Taytay, dubbed as the Philippines' Garments Capital, has taken over Youtube Philippines for quite some time now and there's a good reason why. It's just so amazing to see beautiful and good quality clothing at an insanely cheap price! I've been to Taytay Tiangge for about 4 times now and I always go home with a full 3 kilos of eco bag.
I have posted around 10 vlogs about BAGPI, IGPAI and other tiangge like Freedom, EMF, TMT, Octagon and MySeoul. The videos are linked below. Aside from these vlogs, I have decided to also write about it so you have one page to check out, especially for the different schedules and locations of each tiangge featured here.
On this blog, I have noted the schedule and some information about these 8 Tiangge. The schedule are as of the 11th of May 2019. Some tiangge do not post their schedule so I just asked some vendors of the schedule. Note that the schedule may change from time to time and be mindful that some stalls may be closed on public holidays. The prices can be found in the video.
If there are any schedule updates, please feel free to message me through this post or through any of my social media accounts. Thank you!
BAGPI GARMENT CENTER
BAGPI seems to be the most popular tiangge along with IGPAI. This tiangge is my personal favorite because I found dresses and clothes that I really like but this may just be my pesonal preference. You may find the designs better in the other tiangge. I also bought a number of my office clothes from here.
Location: BAGPI is in between MySeoul and Taytay Mega Tiangge (TMT).
- Monday - 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day
- Thursday - 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM of the following day
- Saturday - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
They used to be open every Fridays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM but this is currently crossed out in their poster.
BAGPI Taytay Tiangge Schedule 2019
Check out this video for a virtual tour of BAGPI. This includes prices for most of the clothes featured in the video. We went there during Taytay, Rizal's Fiesta which makes it a local public holiday. Some stalls were closed but there were still a lot to choose from!
IGPAI GARMENTS CENTER
Aside from clothes, IGPAI also has stalls that sell bedsheets, pillow cases, men's polo and so much more.
Location: IGPAI is opposite Taytay Mega Tiangge, and alongside All Star Tiangge and EMF. These tiangge are just next to each other so you would easily find them.
- Monday - 8:00 AM to 12 midnight
- Tuesday - 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Wednesday - closed
- Thursday - 8:00 AM to 12 midnight
- Friday - 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday - 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Sunday - 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Here's my recent IGPAI video to check out the prices and items you can buy there:
Freedom Bazaar
Freedom Bazaar has 2 tents and they call it Freedom 1 and Freedom 2. Freedom 2 seems quite new because they were no stall numbers yet. I am still unclear whether there is Freedom 3, because some vendors say there's a 3rd one but others say there are just 2 tents. Please let me know in the comments below so I can correct this post.
It was my first time in Freedom and the place really looks new and ventilation is great too. Aside from women's fashion clothes, I found a few stalls that sell school uniforms for less than 100 pesos, men's polo and even scrub suits.
Location: Freedom Bazaar is one of the first tiangge you'll pass through from McDonald's.
- Wednesday (night market)
- Friday - 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday (night market)
- Sunday - 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
*I got different schedules from different vendors. One vendor said they're also open on Tuesdays. The night market schedule seems to vary as well, some say they close at 10pm while some at midnight. If anyone knows of the accurate schedule, please let me know at the comments section of this blog.
Here's a virtual tour of Freedom Bazaar which includes prices and stall numbers for some. Check it here in Youtube and don't forget to subscibe to my channel :)
All Star Tiangge
What I love about this tiangge is the food section which looks like a mini food court! After walking and shopping for hours, it was a relief to just sit down and eat. There are several food vendors outside the tiangge too. If you're not hungry, you will enjoy the clothes selection as well as curtains and even doormats for 25 pesos each.
Location: All Star Tiangge is near the main road. It's just next to Freedom Bazaar and alongside IGPAI. This is the first tiangge you'll see before IGPAI.
- Monday (night market) - 8:00 AM to midnight
- Wedneday - closed
- Thursday (night market) - 8:00 AM to midnight
Check out this virtual tour of All Star Tiangge so you know what to expect :)
EMF Tiangge
EMFis another huge tent with several trendy clothes. Some stall owners don't allow taking photos and videos because they claim that their designs are being copied (that's really disappointing). The hallways are spacious, there was not a lot of people on a Saturday but I think it wouldn't feel too crowded even on a busy day.
Location: EMF is next to IGPAI, opposite Octagon
- Monday - 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM of the following day
- Thursday - 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM of the following day
- Friday - 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Saturday - 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Affordable Dresses at EMF Taytay Tiangge
Check out this virtual tour of EMF Taytay Tiangge for the updated prices. See shirts as low as 25 pesos and dresses as affordable as 50 pesos!
Octagon Fashion Strip
True to its name, the stalls are arranged in an octagon shape. It felt like a spiral, you would be going literally in circles as you walk along the stalls. It was a nice change though after passing through linear hallways of stalls in other tiangge.
Location: Octagon is just across EMF, alongside TMT (Taytay Mega Tiangge)
- Monday - 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Thursday - 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Saturday - 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Sunday - 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
TMT (Taytay Mega Tiangge)
This tiangge is really mega! With over 600 (if not 700 - I lost count) stalls and 29 hallways, you can really shop 'til you drop! You can find almost every fashion items including branded overruns and trendy plus size clothes. I got a Forever 21 spaghetti strap for only Php 150 (from the original USD 15 or over Php700) from one of the stalls here. I honestly can't see the factory defect.
Vloggers and bloggers just take note to ask for permission before taking photos or videos of the items they sell. Similar to EMF, some stall owners here seem to be not so happy seeing my camera. I respect that considering they have the right to refuse for their stall to be featured in any blog or vlog (Note that I never include their faces in my vlogs). They also claim that some people copy their designs so let's be mindful of this in any of the Taytay Tiangge.
Location: TMT is just across IGPAI, and alongside Octagon.
- 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily except Wednesday
- Closed only on Wednesdays
- Note that the Saturday and Sunday vendors are not the same vendors during the weekdays
MySeoul Tiangge
A lot of items here are below 200 pesos, and they also have a big store of branded overruns here. The stores are quite dark though, it would really help the vendors if its management would install better lighting in here. I think this tiangge is a bit underrated and not a lot of people go here but they do have a lot of cheap and really pretty dresses.
Location: MySeoul is just across BAGPI and near the main road.
- Monday - 10:00 AM to midnight
- Tuesday - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Thursday - 10:00 AM to midnight
- Friday - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Sunday - 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
*Taytay Tiangge is really big and I have only covered 8 tiangge. This blog does not include all of the tiangge such as Masuerte Tiangge (it was closed when I went there on a Saturday). IThere are also smaller tiangge around it like the Jazphine Tiangge and it may be worth checking that out too. Sometimes the least popular ones have the cheaper prices. I will go back and add to the list that I have here.
Masuerte 4JC Tiangge
Masuerte Tiangge was closed when I went there on a Saturday. I will be back to get some video clips from this tiangge. The schedule was provided to me by one of my readers. Credits to Mary Joy Cayton Tolentino for the photo of their schedule. I will add more information when I get there :)
Take note of their color coded Pasillo.
Masuerte Tiangge Schedule
Tips/ Before you go
Bring a big ecobag, you may even need 2 especially on your first time.
- Bring your own water bottle. The ventilation inside the tents are really good but shopping, especially during summertime, can be dehydrating. The tents are really massive and there are several tiangge in just one location.
- Bring sufficient cash. These are tiangge and they only accept cash (I think everyone already knows this) plus the ATMs are quite walk from the tent
- If you have time, go around the stalls first because some vendors may offer a similar design for a cheaper price
- Check the schedule for any update especially on public holidays.
- You can buy at a wholesale price by buying only 3 items. It can be in different colors/ print, and some stores even allow 3 different items of the same price.
- If you can afford it and you think that the item is already valued at a cheap price, don't haggle (and this is just my opinion and you don't need to agree with me). The prices here are insanely cheap and if you haggle too much then the store owners and even their dressmakers may not earn that much. I f the demand is to even lower the current prices, guess who suffer ? I sometimes wonder whether the market here is operating on Fair Trade (ie. Are the dressmakers being paid correctly? Are they working under proper conditions? But that's a question I may not be able to answer but I hope authorities ensure that the market is operating based on Fair Trade.
- Throw your trash in the bins. There are a number of trash bins around so it's quite frustrating to see people throw their trash just anywhere
- Enjoy shopping! :)
