Funko announce new Metallica Master Of Puppets Pop Vinyls, as well as new and exclusive 'live' AC/DC and Kiss figures

Love for Metallica 's 1986 classic hit and album Master Of Puppets this year has known no bounds. Following the song's inclusion on the smash sci-fi/horror series Stranger Things , everyone has been ramping up on the nostalgia for the metal heavyweights' early thrash anthem.

Now, Funko have announced a new Exclusive Pop! deluxe product, a Metallica four-pack inspired by their 1986 Master Of Puppets tour, containing figures of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and the late Cliff Burton positioned on an included stage, in front of the artwork of the famed album. The special Pop! offering will be available later this month for a retail price of $49.99 via Funko and Walmart exclusively. 

"Pull a few strings and get stage-front access to the Metallica Master of Puppets Tour (1986) with this Walmart Exclusive POP! Deluxe Moment" says a statement.

Funko have additionally unveiled collaborations with AC/DC and Kiss, also both positioned on stages. The corpse-painted quartet's Pop! is based on their Alive II Tour of 1978 while the hard-riff rocker's version reads: 'AC/DC In Concert'.

In celebration of Funko's 2022 virtual music event Popapalooza, they recently shared details of their new Funko Pops! of Dio , Pantera , Iron Maiden and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister.

Other artists to have previously collaborated with Funko include Ozzy Osbourne, Guns 'N Roses, Slipknot, Slayer, Ghost, Motorhead and more.

Funko Pop! Unveils New Set of Metallica ‘Master of Puppets’ Collectibles

End of passion, crumbling away? Well Metallica know it's time to play! So obey your master and be sure to pick up the new Metallica Master of Puppets Funko Pop! set.

That's right, the Metallica four horsemen of James Hetfield , Lars Ulrich , Kirk Hammett and the late Cliff Burton are all represented as freshly minted Funko Pop! figures, with the company using the Master of Puppets era for their inspiration.

As you can see, this Funko Pop! set even utilizes the 1986 Master Oof Puppets stage for inspiration. The set of four figures also comes in a collectible box with the stage included (though not the full 3D drum kit). This is also a special offering as it's the first Metallica Funko! Pop set to include Cliff Burton.

Metallica's Master of Puppets album arrived on March 3, 1986. The band's third studio album featured the title track, as well as such staples as "Battery" and "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)." While it only peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, it has since gone on to be certified 6 times platinum in the U.S.

You can currently pre-order Metallica's Master of Puppets Funko Pop! set through Metallica.com . It retails for $49.99 and is also being sold through Funko and Walmart .  It's expected to be available as of Nov. 23. See both the front and back of the box below.

It is no secret that Metallica is, was, and always will be one of the greatest heavy metal bands ever walking the planet Earth.

Despite the (many) setbacks they have taken throughout their enormous career, James Hetfield and his gang are the owners of an extraordinary legacy.

“Master Of Puppets” (1986): one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time. The songs are solid as a wall, showing an absurd evolution in relation to the first album, released just three years earlier.

In their third studio album, Metallica allied weight, melody, and aggressiveness with technique and very well-crafted lyrics, dealing with themes such as insanity, false prophets, war, and how addiction to chemicals destroys human life.

There isn’t a bad song on the album, and even though they all deserve to be highlighted, its highlight is “Master Of Puppets,” which is not only Metallica’s most emblematic song but also one of the biggest flagships of thrash metal.
