Lost 80’s Live brings a TOTALLY TUBULAR! and RADICAL! lineup back to California in 2024, including: GRAMMY® award-winner A Flock of Seagulls, (“I Ran [So Far Away])”; Wang Chung, (“Everybody Have Fun Tonight”); The English Beat (“Mirror in the Bathroom”); Missing Persons (“Words”); The Vapors (“Turning Japanese”); Stacey Q (“Two of Hearts”); The Escape Club (“Wild, Wild West”); Musical Youth (“Pass The Dutchie”); Animotion (“Obsession”); Dramarama (“Anything, Anything [I’ll Give You]”); and Boys Don’t Cry (“I Wanna Be A Cowboy”)

Eighties One-Hit Wonders Unite For Lost 80’s Live Tour

If you’re a one-hit wonder, two-hit wonder or even three-hit wonder from the 1980s , the road can be a tough place in 2019. You can try to eke out a living playing clubs, fairs and remote casinos, but profits are slim once you pay for things like gas, food and hotel rooms and your day-to-day existence can be quite dispiriting.

But as the fine people behind the Lost 80’s Live tour have learned, there is incredible strength in numbers. Every year, they throw together a bill stacked with Eighties bands and suddenly groups like Wang Chung and The Escape Club find themselves playing venues like the Greek Theater along with a number of classy casinos, the kind that have buffets where it’s actually safe to eat the shellfish.

Organizers just rolled out details for the 2019 edition of Lost 80s Live and the bill features Missing Persons, The Motels, John Parr, The Vapors, Real Life, The Escape Club and A Flock of Seagulls . That means it will be possible to hear “Wild Wild West,” “Turning Japanese,” “I Ran,” Send Me an Angel,” ‘St. Elmo’s Fire” and “Only The Lonely” all in a single show. And don’t worry: None of the bands play for very long, meaning you won’t have to be subjected to their boring non-hits or, God forbid, an actual new song.

The bill varies a bit from show to show, but they promise that A Flock of Seagulls, FARRINGTON AND MANN, original members of When In Rome UK, Boys Don’t Cry, The Vapors, Real Life, & John Parr will be at every show. A handful of concerts will also have Bow Wow Wow and Wang Chung on the bill. We’d all love to Wang Chung every single night, but apparently they’re only able to do it on select occasions.

Brand new star-studded lineup of iconic 80’s artists set for new dates

After a massive 2019, Lost 80’s Live Tour is back by popular demand with new dates for 2020. Bringing together some of the most recognizable acts from that great decade, Lost 80’s Live is the longest running retro tour where nostalgic fans can see a number of 80’s favorites performing live on one stage for one epic night, with hit songs such by A Flock of Seagulls, The Romantics, The Vapors, Missing Persons, Musical Youth, Naked Eyes, Animotion, and more. The tour features performances by a revolving line-up of iconic 80’s artists, so be sure to check your date for this exclusive concert-going experience. Current dates are below with more expected to be added soon.

The press has consistently praised the show, listing the tour among their must-see events. Rolling Stone claims the show as “one mega-show,” and noting, “. . . the fine people behind the Lost 80’s Live tour have learned, there is incredible strength in numbers. Every year, they throw together a bill stacked with Eighties bands and suddenly groups . . . find themselves playing venues like the Greek Theater.” And Consequence of Sound praising, “Lost 80s Live gets real with those fans by giving them exactly what they want. For years, they’ve been offering stacked lineups, filled with their favorite one-hit wonders, who all can be found on Spotify playlists dubbed “Super ’80S Playlist” or “Stranger things – 80s Songs.” It’s a win-win for the acts, too, as they’re playing bigger and better venues.”

Lost 80’s Live was created 17 years ago by Rob Juarez of The Boss Booking Agency (TBBA) and is co-produced by TBBA and Jeff Epstein and Jeff Allen of Universal Attractions Agency (UAA). UAA brought us the international phenomenon and over one million ticket seller I Love the 90’s Tour featuring Salt n Pepa, Vanilla Ice and more.
