Note that in summer it is better to opt for an air-conditioned type of accommodation as it can get oppressively hot even in the open sea. The most popular 2Go Travel ticket options are Tourist Class and Cabin for 4 which offer the best value for your money. Sample 2Go Travel ticket prices are as follows:

  • Mega Value – USD32
  • Super Value – USD36

  • Tourist Class – USD41
  • Cabin for 4 – USD62

Batangas–Boracay

2Go ticket booking can be made in person in any of the company’s outlets or online via the official website or via OTA like us. Booking process is easy with instant confirmation.

When booking online, an e-ticket is issued, which should be then shown at boarding together with your valid ID. IMPORTANT! If you do not print out your e-tickets you will be asked to pay for your real ticket at the port.

2Go Promo Tickets

To grab the best deals with 2Go, shop during seasonal sales periods. 2Go Travel promo tickets are a great way to save big on your sea journey. The best strategy to take advantage of this is to subscribe to the company’s pages in social media. There are both promos for immediate travel and advanced booking.

  • 2Go has really placed a premium on the safety and comfort of their passengers. Security checks of luggage are always conducted. There is a sufficient number of life jackets on board, lifeboats, an in-house medical unit, a rescue boat and even a few police representatives.
  • The amenities and facilities are not to be frowned upon, either. There is always a good front office, a 24/7 cafe, a full bar, live entertainment, salons, and spas.
  • There are charging stations on board for passengers of all classes.
  • 2Go ships including common areas and toilets are generally cleaner compared to other ferries around the archipelago.
  • Overnight trips are a great way to save some bucks on accommodation and entertainment.
  • 2Go can arrange onward transportation for passengers through their partner companies to make your travel even more convenient.
  • Trips can be delayed or cancelled due to weather conditions, especially during the typhoon season. Be ready and be flexible. This is not the fault of the company, though. Yet in case of a delay no complimentary food and drinks are offered.
  • The refund process if you require one can take as long as 2 months if you cancel your tickets paid for by a bank card for any reason.
  • Air-conditioning is often freezing cold but overall the price and experience are hard to beat.

2GO Group, Inc.: Moving businesses and the country forward

2GO Group, Inc. is regarded as one of the premier transport and logistics providers in the Philippines which legacy of leadership and services was built on 149 years of practice. Although several changes has marked the local transport and logistics industry, 2GO’s trademark of providing world-class travel experiences, moving products efficiently, and catalyzing business growth in domestic and international markets remains unchanged.

2GO is the product of resources and expertise of different companies it acquired at different times. The group, which was primarily formed and organized on May 26, 1949 under the corporate name William Lines, Inc., is now being managed by SM Investments Corp. (SMIC) and Udenna Corp.

Currently, the group owns and operates successful brands such as 2GO Travel, 2GO Freight, 2GO Express, and 2GO Logistics. It maintains the largest and widest infrastructure across the country with seamless links to over 150 countries.

“The company has grown to be more than shipping. We’ve gone into logistics, offering the whole suite of freight forwarding, import, export, customs clearance and release, warehousing, multimodal transportation, e-commerce, last mile deliveries, project logistics, and express deliveries,” 2GO Shipping Chief Operating Officer Mark Matthew F. Parco told BusinessWorld . “In terms of shipping and logistics, I think we’ve covered almost everything, and on top of that, we take steps to being one of the largest distribution companies.”

Mr. Parco shared that among 2GO’s product lines and solutions, shipping is the most matured in the sense that the “products and growth is there”. At the company’s brand structure, 2GO’s shipping operates under the brand names 2GO Travel for passage business, and 2GO Freight for cargo business.

2GO Travel is one of the largest sea travel providers in the Philippines that provides comfortable and secured transport between major destinations across the archipelago. Its ability to guarantee convenient and affordable sea travel experience has helped 2GO be the preferred means of sea travel by Filipinos. Mr. Parco said that in 2017, 2GO Travel moved a total of 4.5 million passengers, which comprised the 90% of the total market share.

2GO Freight, on the other hand, is 2GO’s unit that provides cargo handling services for various types of goods and shipments including full container load (FCL) and less than a container load (LCL), loose cargo, roll-on or roll-off and rolling cargo.

2GO Freight transported 27% of the total freight in the market last year. “It is a major chunk of the economy,” Mr. Parco said.

Another core business unit of 2GO Group is 2GO Logistics, Inc. that provides services in logistics, transportation, warehousing and inventory management. It employs a variety of tools that enable value creation and business growth for its customers and 2GO itself.

2GO Logistics captures a big share of the sea-based delivery market in the country, handling up to special containers such as isotanks and refrigerated vans. It also supervises international logistics involving international sourcing and consolidation, customs clearance and brokerage, project cargo management, heavy lift and special cargo handling, global containerized transport, international freight forwarding, and warehousing.

With its wide array of shipping services and end-to-end logistics solutions, 2GO has played a critical role in facilitating effective and efficient trade operations which is the backbone of the country’s economic growth. As Mr. Parco explained, 2GO is helping businesses, especially manufacturing and consumer goods companies, by transporting their commodities around the country.

In this manner, 2GO has become part of every Filipinos’ lives. From the raw materials to finished goods they use and consume, 2GO served as a reliable partner of individuals and businesses in moving these commodities from Metro Manila to provinces or vice versa.

To adapt to the changing landscape in the transport and logistics industry, 2GO is streamlining its operations and is continuously seeking ways to improve its services.

Recently, the company unveiled the fully-furnished M/V St. Leo the Great as part of its efforts to modernize its fleets. The passenger and cargo vessel now boasts a world-class accommodation, modern features, and various amenities that give passengers an exceptional sea-travel experience.

In addition, the company is also utilizing the advantages of the Internet to efficiently reach its market and deliver utmost convenience to its consumers.

“Innovation is there, we would not grow if we will not match or surpass on whatever our competitors are offering,” Mr. Parco said. “These are the things we are looking into to help us maintain our leadership in the market.”

In the years to come, Mr. Parco said that 2GO will continuously strive to be the market leader by extending its shipping and logistics services and focusing on factors that cater to the growing needs of the customers. Given the company’s size and reach, it aims to continue to be able to touch the lives of Filipinos through its services.

Transport Your Unaccompanied Pets Anywhere in PH With 2GO Travel

  • October 13, 2021

2go travel express

MANILA, 29 July 2021 – Pets can travel, too! Transport your beloved fur babies to major Philippine destinations aboard 2GO Travel, the largest premier sea travel provider in the country. The newly launched service aimed at bringing unaccompanied pets from origin to destination, was born out of necessity during this pandemic.

“We have been servicing passengers with accompanied pets, but recently, we put out a service to transport unaccompanied pets. Due to the travel restrictions imposed during the pandemic, wherein there is limited mobility, we received inquiries from pet owners on how to move their pets without them joining the voyages,” said 2GO Assistant Vice President Blessie Cruz on how 2GO Pet Travel came into being.

2GO Travel makes it simple and easy to transport unaccompanied cats and dogs of all breeds without third party service providers. Pets are especially accommodated in designated areas in all 2GO Travel vessels sailing to over 15 ports of call. Pet owners can book at least 24 hours before departure date through 2GO Travel’s hotline, in which pet travel agents will communicate the detailed list of requirements needed for the transport. The shipper must accomplish all forms and documents prior to travel, and provide the pet’s cage according to specification and food for the entire duration of travel.

On the day of departure, pet owners shall arrive with the pet six hours before the scheduled voyage. Upon pet acceptance at the terminal, a boarding staff will facilitate the turnover to the dedicated pet handler who oversees pets onboard and sends pre-advice notice upon departure and notice of arrival to consignee via short message service (SMS).

“We understand pet owners treat their cats and dogs like extended members of the family. By trusting us your fur babies, our team ensures TLC (tender loving care) onboard handling and safe voyages from origin to destination. We have trained pet handlers to take care of your pets aboard our vessels, and an on ground licensed veterinarian to consult with, should there be any emergency.”

On the other hand, 2GO Travel offers discounted fares to pet owners who want to go with their four-legged friends on a vacation from Manila to Cebu and Cagayan de Oro for as low as ₱199, and ₱299 from Batangas to Caticlan and Roxas. Destinations from Manila to Bacolod, Coron, Dumaguete, and Puerto Princesa are priced at ₱399, while Manila to Butuan, Iligan, Ozamiz, and Zamboanga are for ₱499 only. The one-way promo ticket is inclusive of 50kg baggage allowance and exclusive of meals and other fees, for selling on July 30 to August 5, 2021, and for sailing from September 1 to December 31, 2021.

For booking requests on Pet Travel, shippers may call our freight hotline (02) 8 528 7400, email [email protected], or visit any 2GO Freight Office.

To book your trip tickets, please visit 2GO Travel’s website, https://travel.2go.com.ph, call our hotline (02) 8 528 7000, email us at [email protected], or visit any 2GO outlet, authorized agent, and SM Business Center near you!

Ticket prices for the Trans-Siberian Railway also depend on the current ruble exchange rate.

Is the Trans-Siberian Railway expensive?

Before starting on your Trans-Siberian Railway adventure you naturally want to know what the entire trip will cost. Although this sounds like a simple question, it is pretty difficult to answer. The Trans-Siberian Railway price of travel depends on the following factors:

  • Which travel class do I want to use? The price for a first class ticket is about three times the price of a 3rd class ticket
  • Am I willing to buy the tickets myself and assume responsibility for the organisation of the trip?
  • How many stopovers do I want to make? The more breaks, the higher the total price.
  • What sort of accommodation do I want? Will it be a luxury hotel or will a hostel dormitory be sufficient?
  • What tours and excursions would I like to go on?
  • What is the current exchange rate for rubles?

Basically, everything from a luxury to a budget holiday is available. If you buy yourself a 3rd Class nonstop ticket at the counter, a few hundred Euros will cover the price. All you will experience is a week on the Trans-Siberian train and will see nothing of the cities on the way. There is, however, any amount of room for upward expansion. Everyone makes different choices about which aspects they are willing to spend money on. I personally prefer to save money on accommodation and railcar class, visit as many cities and do as many trips as possible. To enable better classification of your travel expenses I have contrasted two typical traveler types. In the third column you can calculate the total cost of your own journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Please keep in mind that these are only rough estimations and not exact prices.

The all-in costs seem fairly high at first. However, they cover everything and it is quite a long journey taking four weeks. Many people forget to consider that when looking at the list. We should also deduct the running costs for food and leisure at home. I think most visitors to this page will classify themselves somewhere between the two categories, that is around the € 2,000 – € 2,500 range. When comparing these prices with other travel packages, you get the impression that it is hardly worthwhile travelling individually on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Please keep in mind that most packages last no more than 14 days and you are herded like cattle through the most beautiful locations.

If you spend less time on the Trans-Siberian Railway you will, of course, pay less. I chose this particular travel length because I prefer not to do things by halves. If you fulfill your dream of travelling on the Trans-Siberian Railway, enjoy it and don’t rush things. But it’s up to you, of course. Try playing around with the form a bit to find the appropriate price for your trip.
