P!NK

Pink’s record-breaking visit to Australia and New Zealand next year will include her first stadium concert in North Queensland.

The Philadelphia pop superstar will bring her Summer Carnival to the land Down Under in 2024, for a trek that expands to 16 Australian shows. Among the newly-announced dates are a fourth and final show at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, and a tour-closing concert March 23 at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, a venue that typically hosts the rough and tumble of professional rugby league matches.

Tones And I

Trending on billboard.

Live Nation is producing the tour, which the concerts giant insists will be the biggest-selling Australian visit ever by a female artist.

Pink’s 16 stadium concerts is one record, the 725,000 ticket sales she is “currently well beyond,” according to LN, is another.

“Pink’s Aussie shows sold out in minutes across the country,” comments Live Nation Australia president Roger Field, “making the tour extension into North Queensland an exciting next step in meeting this unprecedented demand.”

Setting records in Australia is a regular pastime for Pink. She’s considered an “honorary Aussie,” and has certainly spent enough time here to earn that tag.

On her 2009 Funhouse Tour , she criss-crossed the country for a gobsmacking 59 shows, an epic adventure that took three months and saw her sell 650,000 tickets. Not bad for a population of less than 25 million at the time.

For her Truth About Love Tour in 2013-14, Pink completed 46 dates; and for the Australasian leg of her Beautiful Trauma World Tour in 2018, she spent over two months on these shores, hitting 42 arena dates.

On the ARIA Charts, Pink has bagged seven No. 1 albums, most recently with Trustfall .

Live Nation Australia chairman Michael Coppel is Pink’s career-long promoter for ANZ, organizing six tours since 2004. On the 20th anniversary of that association, Pink will surpass 3 million tickets sold in Australia and New Zealand, he explains.

Also announced this week, Tones And I will join Pink as special guest on the ANZ swing. The one-time busker, Tones (real name Toni Watson) set new benchmarks with her global hit “Dance Monkey,” which led charts in 30 countries, including 24-week run at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart, a record, and 11 weeks at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, a record for a solo female artist.

Hints and tips for improving your chances of getting P!NK Summer Carnival 2024

Make sure you have a my ticketmaster account.

Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster Account then make sure you sign up in advance –  Ticketmaster.com.au .

Sign into your My Ticketmaster account ahead of time

Remember to triple check your passwords, account information, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.

Keep your options open with ‘Best Available’

Save time by searching “Best Available,” which scans all sections fast – it’s quicker than searching sections one at a time.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as you are progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window while you’re in the  Waiting Room  and when you’re being pushed through  the Smart Queue  and always resist the urge to refresh.

Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Remember: there are a lot of fans

We’re expecting this to be a very popular event. When a popular event goes on sale there are hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of customers all attempting to purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and when an act is this popular, sometimes they go very quickly.

Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.

P!NK will be bringing her SUMMER CARNIVAL tour to Australia in February 2024. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.

P!nk Australian Tour Setlist Revealed

More Pink

P!nk is back in Australia for a record-breaking tour, playing an incredible 17 stadium shows on her Summer Carnival run. The tour is the seventh-highest-grossing tour for a woman of all time.

Last night (9 February) was the first night in her itinerary, and boy, did she (and a punter) deliver at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium.

Of course, a P!nk show isn’t a P!nk show without trapeze performance and an abundance of her rock and pop classics, but it was the intimate moments that The Music reviewer Alasdair Belling will remember from the concert.

“P!nk is changing what it means to be a pop star, and if this tour is anything to go by, she’s also changing what stadium performance looks like,” Belling declared in our review . “Perhaps most excitingly of all, P!nk’s music remains as fresh as ever; there was no sense of things feeling recycled.

“Did we mention a fan literally had  a baby during the show?! If this is mum rock, the dads sure can learn a thing or two.”

P!nk was joined by special guest Tones And I , who warmed up the crowd with her rendition of Alphaville ’s Forever Young , and her songs Dance Monkey, Johnny Run Away , and more.

Don't miss a beat with our FREE daily newsletter

Now’s the time to look away if you don’t want to know P!nk’s setlist ahead of the show(s) you might be attending on her Australian tour.

Six songs from her latest album, TRUSTFALL , were played, with the singer playing cuts from Funhouse, The Truth About Love, Beautiful Trauma, Great Hits… So Far!!!, M!ssundaztood and more – there was something for everyone in attendance.

No live debuts, just fun and pure hits. Check out P!nk’s setlist from her first show on her Australian tour below.

Pink Biography

Alecia Moore was born in September 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and trained to be a gymnast from an early age.

In high school, Pink joined her first band, and she used music as a way to channel her feelings and took on her stage name to help her morph into the entertainer she has become.

Debut Album

Pink released her debut album in 2000, Can't Take Me Home, performing very well indeed but nothing on the scale of which she was about to reach.

Moulin Rouge!

Arguably her breakthrough performance came on the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack, where she joined forces with Christina Aguilera , Lil' Kim, and Mya on the number one hit Lady Marmalade.

Get the Party Started

That was followed by Pink's first smash hit solo single, Get the Party Started, which was an international smash hit that really put her on the musical map.

Missundaztood

Her 2001 album Missundaztood was a real launching platform for Pink, selling over five million copies in the United States alone and doing well around the world.

The album featured other hits, including Don't Let Me Get Me, Just Like a Pill (her first US solo number-one single), and Family Portrait.

Her next album, Try This, received critical acclaim and sold well, and the follow-up, I'm Not Dead, was supported by a hugely successful tour.

Pink's fifth studio album, Funhouse, was released in 22008 and was followed up by another big success, The Truth About Love.

After a five-year break, Pink's Beautiful Trauma saw her once again top the Billboard Albums as if she's never been away.

Pink has matured into an international artist of real star quality, and her ninth studio album, Trustfall, saw her once again hit the top spot on the US and UK charts, proving her incredible longevity in a genre that doesn't often see acts with an extensive shelf-life.

Pink has sold over 130 million records worldwide and has scored a host of awards including three Grammy Awards, four Billboard Music Awards and two Brit Awards, including one for Outstanding Contribution to Music, which she received in 2019.

She is also known as being one of the best concert artists around and that is certainly reflected in the demand for Pink tickets, wherever in the world she plays.

Pink Tour Dates

A Pink concert is quite unlike anything else you will have seen before. The sheer size and scale of her stage act are extraordinary, and there is so much going on in terms of the interactive and immersive experience, and that's before we even get to the American star's astounding back catalog of great songs!

Pink has been performing headline tours for over twenty years, and on the release of every new album, she successfully seeks to conquer the world.

Summer Carnival

Across 2023 and 2024, Pink has undertaken the Summer Carnival tour that has seen her play 99 shows across three continents to an audience of millions.

It is her first tour since the Beautiful Trauma World Tour that took place five years earlier, and Pink has certainly not lost any of her star power, as evidenced by the sold-out nature of every single concert she performs.

At SeatPick, you will be able to access the cheapest tickets for Pink shows as well as news about tour dates and ticket information.

Trustfall Tour Dates

The overwhelming success of the Summer Carnival tour led to Pink announcing a separate tour to deal with the incredible interest in Pink tickets. The Trustfall Tour sees Pink play multiple dates at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, the FL Amway Center, the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland and the KY KFC Yum! Center in Louisville.

As well as dates in North America, including at the wonderful Rogers Arena in Toronto, Pink will travel further afield, including to Australia, to play Marvel Stadium in Melbourne and in London at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium , as well as countless other massive stadiums around the world in what is a truly global tour.

You can expect a host of other artists of note to join Pink on stage, making what is already likely to be an amazing show an even more remarkable occasion.

P!NK fans flock to Townsville as pop star prepares to take the stage in coup for regional city

Three women in front of Castle Hill, wearing Bring Pink to Townsville T-shirts.

P!NK super fan Kylie Morgan cried in her car this week, but it was not because she was sad.

After a 12-year campaign helping to bring pop star P!NK to the North Queensland city of Townsville, 1,300 kilometres north of Brisbane, she realised they had succeeded.

"It's only really hit me … I was driving and I just broke down," Ms Morgan said.

The pop star is set to perform this weekend, injecting nearly $50 million into the economy of a city better known in recent times for youth crime and natural disasters than hosting international stars.

Townsville turns pink

It is a major coup for the regional city — and a testament to what fans call P!NK power — and will be the largest event hosted at Townsville's  $300 million stadium since it opened in 2020.

More than 60,000 people will attend the two sold-out shows, including 20,000 concertgoers from outside the Townsville region.

Even the city's landmark Castle Hill has been lit up pink for the occasion.

A large rock hill - Castle Hill in Townsville- illuminated under a pink light. It's night time.

For Ms Morgan, who founded the Bring P!NK to Townsville group with Jo Aldridge and Allysha Catterall more than a decade ago, it was overwhelming.

"It's taken us so long for this to happen, and to see the whole town get on board," she said.

"I have not seen anything like this in Townsville."

Even coffee has turned pink.

Cafe owner Luke Guazzo has started serving pink coffees — coloured with strawberry sugar syrup and rose food colouring.

"It's a great little novelty. Everybody has really been jumping on board with the pink," Mr Guazzo said.

"We've also painted our external wall — it's a 10 metre-long wall — entirely pink.

"Everyone seems to have that extra spring in their step. It's obviously a big name to come to Townsville."

Mural artist Lavinia Letherby was so excited about the P!NK buzz she volunteered to paint a P!nk portrait on the side of a heritage-listed building in the CBD for free, with materials provided by local businesses.

She spent this week painting all day and into the night.

"It's not often we get massive superstars coming to regional Australia, so to be able to celebrate that is amazing," Ms Letherby said.

"The goal would be to have P!NK come here and actually sign the mural. That would be insane."

Not just crime and natural disasters

Townsville Chamber of Commerce chief executive Heidi Hatherell said the influx of visitors was allowing local businesses to showcase their hospitality.

"What a great welcome to all the visitors to the region," she said.

"Instead of thinking about the crime and disasters we're known for up here, they can go home talking about what a great, welcoming place it is.

"If we keep putting on a good show like this … and the promoters can see that we're all coming in droves to attend the concerts, then no doubt if they make money up here, they'll keep coming."

Ms Morgan said regional residents longed to see live music close to home.

She has heard about people travelling thousands of kilometres to see P!NK in Townsville.

"When we first started the campaign, there were a lot of people who said they couldn't travel [to capital cities] because of medical reasons [or] they've got children, so it's really good to have her in regional Australia," Ms Morgan said.

"We've got people from Weipa, from Mount Isa, Rockhampton, we've got someone flying in from Tasmania, from South Africa.

"We can showcase what Townsville has to offer."

‘Not even joking’: Pink’s considers a life Down Under ahead of Australian tour

US pop star Pink has made a startling revelation about her “home away from home” as tickets go on sale for her Aussie tour.

Pop star Pink has revealed she’s considered trading the US for a life Down Under.

The 43-year-old, who currently lives in Santa Barbara with her husband Carey Hart and two children – daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, 6 – said she’s had thoughts about becoming an Australian citizen.

“Last year, I was thinking about applying for citizenship; I am not even joking,” she told 60 Minutes in an interview on Sunday night.

“I was like, ‘If we’re going somewhere Carey, [Australia] is where we’re going.”

The pop star has had a long-time admiration for Australia and has shown her support for the country during its toughest times.

In 2020, she pledged a $500,000 donation to the country’s fire services when they were on the frontline of the horrific summer bushfires.

Months earlier she thanked Australia’s firefighters for their work, labelling them and other fire rescue employees across the world her “personal heroes”.

“We’re praying and pulling for you and our hearts are with you,” she tweeted in 2019.

Pink’s welcoming revelation came just days after she announced she’ll be coming to Australia next year for her first-ever stadium tour in the country.

Summer Carnival kicks off at Sydney‘s Allianz stadium on February 9 next year, followed by performances in Newcastle, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

By the time the tour comes around, it will have been almost six years since Pink’s 2018 tour Beautiful Trauma , which entertained just under 560,000 Australian and New Zealand fans.

In a statement released on Thursday, the performer said she was “so excited” to have the opportunity to tour both countries again in the summer.

“I can’t wait to bring the Summer Carnival tour to my home away from home, and smile and sing together until our cheeks hurt. Summer 2024 can’t come soon enough!” she said.

Australia will host India for a five-match test series later this year.

Indian cricket team will travel Australia for a five-match test series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy) later this year and conclude their campaign in ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. The series is most likely to kick-off in Perth. India defeated Australia in last two test tours Down Under.

According to a reports in Australian media, India and Australia will also play one day-night test match at Adelaide Oval during the five-match series. The test series is likely to began in last week on November and then conclude with iconic New Year’s test at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney. India currently hold the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as they defeated Australia in the last series held in 2023 in India.

Australian media reports tentative schedule for India’s tour of Australia 2024-25

According to a report in WAToday, South Australian Cricket Association is lobbying for a day-night test in the lead up to Christmas. The first test between India and Australia is likely to be played at Optus Stadium in Perth, while the second test is likely to be played in Adelaide, which will be a day/night pink-ball test. Brisbane’s Gabba, where India completed their infamous series win on the last tour, will host the third test before MCG hosts the traditional Boxing Day test. The series will conclude with New Year’s test at the SCG, Sydney.

Cricket Australia has not yet released the schedule for the series as discussions about the entire tour are still taking place. The final schedule is likely to come in a few weeks. As quoted by WAToday, a Cricket Australia spokesperson informed, “The schedule is yet to be finalised.” Cricket Australia will also reveal dates of domestic tournaments as well.

India’s tour of Australia tentative schedule:

1st test – Perth

2nd test – Adelaide (Day/Night)

3rd test – Brisbane

4th test – Melbourne (Boxing Day test)

5th test – Sydney (New Year’s test)

Adelaide is likely to host the second ever day-night test between India and Australia. They played their first ever day-night game at the same venue where India were dismissed on just 36 runs in the second innings. Along with Adelaide Oval, The Gabba will be a much talked about venue in the upcoming series as well. Once a fortress for Australia, where they didn’t lose for 30 years straight, have now lost two matches in three years.

Chennai to host IPL 2024 final on May 26

Chennai is set to host its first IPL final in 12 years, with Chepauk named as the venue for the IPL 2024 title match, to be played on May 26. The MA Chidambaram Stadium, or the Chepauk, the home venue of defending IPL champions Chennai Super Kings, has hosted two previous IPL finals, in 2011 and 2012.

Chennai will also host the second qualifier on May 24, with the first qualifier on May 21 and the eliminator on May 22 set to take place in Ahmedabad.

The second part of the IPL schedule, comprising 52 matches including the playoffs, will begin on April 8, with CSK hosting Kolkata Knight Riders in Chennai. All playoff matches will be evening games, as usual.

As in 2023, the ten teams have been divided across two groups of five each. Each team plays the other four teams in their group twice and four teams in the other group once while playing the remaining team from the other group - picked via a draw - twice.

CSK are grouped with 2022 IPL champions Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings. The second group comprises five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians along with KKR, Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.

In all, the 2024 league phase will include 11 double-header days, two of which took place on the opening weekend.

On February 22, the IPL had released a partial schedule of an initial set of 21 matches from March 22 to April 7. A complete schedule could not be put out since, at the time, the IPL was waiting for the Election Commission of India to announce the dates for the country's general elections, which have since been made public. They will take place in seven phases from April 19 to June 1.

Apart from the main home grounds of the ten teams, the tournament will also travel to Visakhapatnam, Dharamsala and Guwahati, which will host two games each as the respective second home grounds of Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals respectively. Guwahati will host the final league game of the season on May 19, between Royals and KKR.
