For the better part of two decades, the award-winning songwriter has brought his audience together night after night, turning his shows into celebrations of community, collaboration, and contemporary American roots music.  Strangers No More , the ninth album from Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, celebrates that sense of togetherness. Produced by Cason Cooley, it expands the band’s mix of timeless songwriting, modern-day Laurel Canyon folk, amplified Americana, and heartland rock & roll. “All The Money in the World,” with its deep-pocketed groove that showcases The Neighbors’ musicality, is punctuated by blasts of brass, marking the band’s first song to feature horns. “That's On You, That's On Me” makes room for barrelhouse piano, slide guitar, and the greasy grit of a juke joint rock band. “On a Roll” and “Possibility” are Springsteen-sized rock & roll melodramas that wail and exalt, their cinematic arrangements built for the large rooms that Holcomb regularly plays these days. “Fly” is a reflective, finger-plucked folksong. Finally, there's “Dance With Everybody,” a lively tribute to the live show that brims with a joyful optimism — a feeling that was often missing during the band’s earlier years, when their shows weren’t nearly as packed. Song by song,  Strangers No More  offers an all-encompassing view not only of the places Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors have been, but where they're headed next, too. It's an invitation into the band’s world. Strangers no more, indeed.   About Drew Green Drew Green’s current single “Good Ol’ Man'' currently has over 80 million streams worldwide.  The single gained its prominence after Green posted the song on TikTok.  The viral track has now amassed over 53,300 user generated videos on the platform. The new track dropped on the heels of Drew Green’s two-EP musical journey, Dirt Boy Vol. 1 (Sept. 2020) and Dirt Boy Vol. 2 (Oct. 2021). Green’s debut seven-song collection yielded the streaming successes “She Got That” and “Little More Be Alright.” His subsequent EP included the title track, “Dirt Boy,” and four additional tracks. To date, Green has exceeded 148 million career worldwide streams. OMG, what a fantastic night, Darius Rucker, a true performer, hope he tell his Buddies to come over, amazing band, took me back to Nashville the place was bouncing, went over so quick. Support from Russell Dickerson was as good a support artist I have seen, received a standing ovation at the end of his session, said he'd be back, hope he goes home and tells all his Buddies what a fabulous venue the Sage is and with it a fantastic crowd

I habe waited 10 years to see Darius live and I was not disapointed ys know what can I say, Darius is just a genuinely nice guy and an amazing singer, a little story for ya... Darius was half way through a song and one of the guys in the front row put his fist out to try get a fist bump and Darius just moved on, I felt so bad, but at the end of the song Darius says "I'm glad this happened because I thought it was just an American thing... here I am half way through a song doing my thing, because when I do this song I only see the girls in the room, that's all I see, you know the ladies are looking at me like damn I want you" (the crowd was roaring because the mannerisms Darius were making were hilarious) Darius then goes on to say there's always one who goes (he bow's his head and put his hand fully out stretched into the air for a fist bump) and say something like you're the man, anyway he went back and fist bumped the dude and it was just awesome, kind of a you had to be there moment but awesome non the less, he sang my favourite so "let her cry" and if was spine tingling amazeballs, if you ever get the chance to see DR, don't hesitate just do it, you won't regret it.

Just Announced – Darius and Friends 2023!

darius rucker tour 2023 australia

Darius returns to the historic Ryman Auditorium on Monday, June 5 for his 14th Annual Darius and Friends concert benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ®. The event, which unofficially kicks off the week of CMA Fest in downtown Nashville and has raised more than $3 million to date, will feature an all-star roster of friends to be announced in the coming months.

“This is one of my favorite nights every year,” shares the three-time GRAMMY Award winner. “The work St. Jude does for children and their families, and the medical advances they are constantly making – it all continues to amaze me. It’s a huge honor to bring together some of my best friends in Nashville each summer to do what we can to support them through this event.”

Rucker, who has always prioritized philanthropic work throughout his career, made a commitment to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 15 years ago after taking an inspiring tour of the hospital. Through this meaningful experience, Rucker learned how St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Reflecting on his 2008 visit to the hospital to the Tennessean , Rucker noted, “You see these kids who are sick, and they’re so happy to be there, because their caregivers are so loving and giving to them. And then you find out that nobody ever gets a bill. That blew me away. I was just like, ‘We’ll figure out some way to help you guys as much as I can.'”

Now, a decade and a half later, that effort has become an annual tradition. Friends performing with Rucker in past years have included Lauren Alaina, Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Sheryl Crow, Charles Kelley of Lady A, Ashley McBryde, A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys, Brad Paisley, Kenny Rogers and Tommy Thayer of KISS, among many others. The lineup for this year’s event will be announced soon.

Tickets to the 14th Annual Darius & Friends benefit concert start at $69 with VIP package options up to $249, available via AXS.com . Pre-sale access begins tomorrow, April 18 at 10 a.m. CT, with tickets on sale to the general public this Friday, April 21 at 10 a.m. CT.

Sign up HERE for Darius’ email list to receive a pre-sale code.

The event is made possible with support from generous sponsors CDW, AMD, Amazon Web Services, IBM, Arrow Electronics, and Hendrix Enterprises.

Stars like Darius Rucker, Urban Meyer and Dan Marino visit Grand Strand for Monday After the Masters

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — It’s one of the most anticipated events in the Grand Strand that thousands look forward to each year — Monday After the Masters!

Celebrities like Darius Rucker, Urban Meyer, and Dan Marino made an appearance this year.

Monday after the Masters has been a staple along the Grand Strand for the past 20 years. Thousands made their way to the Barefoot Resort Dye Club to watch Rucker and his friends play golf, as well as raise some money for education in South Carolina.

What makes the event even more special this year is that it’s back open to the public after a five-year hiatus.

“ We’re so happy. This is a gorgeous day to show off our beautiful golf course,” North Myrtle Beach resident Janeen Sharp said. “I feel like all these famous people are on my golf course. It’s so cool.”

Before getting on the tee box, News13 had the chance to talk with Darius Rucker to see how he was feeling about getting on the course.

“Oh, I’m always ready to play golf. I mean, I always suck, so it doesn’t matter,” he said. “I’m just out here to have a good time and to have fun.”

Some of the other big-name celebrities that took part in the tournament include college football coaching legend Urban Meyer and NFL Hall of Famer Dan Marino.

“I got here late last night and I walked into that darn House of Blues and it was like a street fight in there,” Meyer said. “It was so many people!”

“I love to be back, and looking forward to playing and having fun,” Marino said. “Darius is always like a big, fun party. We raise money, it’s great for the community, and I always have a great time.”

Some fans made sure to do everything possible to see their favorite celebrities.

“We got to see Darius Rucker,” Sharp said. “I ran out to the 11th hole and I climbed up on a mountain and I got a video of him teeing off.”

The event turned into a huge tournament over the years, generating millions of dollars for the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation.

“You know, that’s, that’s the one thing that I cherish the most about all this is the friendships I’ve gotten to develop and be a part of,” Rucker said. “ It’s pretty cool to be here and raise a lot of money and be a part of the community.”

One volunteer has been helping out at the event for the past 19 years. When asked why she continues to come back, she simply said “the people.”

Whether it’s to see the celebrities, or just to better your own golf game, it was a day filled with fun.

“I like to come to find out how you actually play this course correctly, because I can’t do what they do,” said Ed Grimes, a fan.

Money raised from the event goes towards the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation with a major focus on public education in South Carolina.

The event wraps up with a Hootie & the Blowfish and friends concert at the House of Blues.
