During a recent interview with CNN, Saudi Arabia's Prince Sultan bin Salman announced that the Kingdom would begin issuing tourist visas in 2018, among other reasons to reduce the dependence of the Saudi economy on oil. Although Saudi authorities had previously spoken about possibilities for non-Muslim tourism in country (namely, a "special tourist zone" on the Red Sea), this announcement reflected an opening of the country at large to foreign travelers.

Now that tourist travel is allowed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia it's time to start planning your trip. Below, you'll find a list of Saudi Arabia's most amazing tourist attractions.

The birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad, Mecca has long been a popular destination for Muslim tourists . In fact, every Muslim who has the financial means to do so is required to make a pilgrimage to Mecca ( known as the "Hajj" ) once in his or her lifetime, according to the Quran.

Non-Muslims are prohibited from entering city of Mecca as well as the area around the iconic Kaaba stone.

Riyadh's Kingdom Centre Tower

Kingdom Centre is such an iconic symbol of Saudi Arabia's capital that an emoji version of it shows up when you say you're "Traveling to" Riyadh on Facebook. A shopping mall and residential complex that's also home to an observatory (which is not surprising, since it rises 992 feet above the ground), Kingdom Centre is actually only the third-tallest building in Saudi Arabia, in spite of its fame. 

Certainly, it will be a great place to begin any Riyadh city trip once Saudi Arabia opens up to tourists, offering visitors both figurative and literal perspective on the bustling national capital of 5.2 million people, which is also home to the Kingdom's main airport. It's easy to see the observation deck becoming Saudi Arabia's most popular selfie spot!

Empty Quarter

Although the vast majority of the aptly-named "Empty Quarter" technically belongs to Saudi Arabia, there are no borders here—it's just sand, after all, with nothing different about it between Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen. On the other hand, the Empty Quarter (which is known in Arabic as Rub' al Khali) is far from boring, whether you come on a camel safari, to drive 4x4s through the dunes or to visit with the nomadic tribes who call this seemingly inhospitable place home.

A number of places in Saudi Arabia are accessible to independent travelers once visas start being issued, but this is probably a destination for which you'll want to have a guide. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to find your way out of sand dunes alone? Coral Houses of Jeddah

The Red Sea port of Jeddah is known as a relatively liberal and open city; from lax enforcement of the country's strict rules about female attire, to the generally laid back attitude of the people. What you might not realize is that Saudi Arabia is home to a city that's both similar in design and origin, dating back to the Nabatean Kingdom of the 1st century.

Although many Saudis enjoy visiting Madai'in Saleh, it maintains a low profile among foreigners, which means that you should be able to enjoy a trip here in relative peace. Certainly, it will take a long time before Mada'in Saleh reaches the "tourist trap" status of Petra, if that ever happens at all.

Mecca is the highest-profile holy place in Saudi Arabia, but if you read Islamic history, you'll realize that Medina is also quite important—the Prophet Muhammad taught here for a number of years after he came of age in Mecca, and before he returned to the city in his later life. The most stunning site in Medina is the mosque of Al-Masjid an-Nabawī, whose origins date back to the year 622.

As is the case with Mecca, non-Muslims are currently prohibited from setting foot in central Medina.

The city was established as a residential center for the Bedouins who were displaced from their ancestral homes by the construction of the King's Highway between Al-Hajar and Tayma in 1922. Visit the mosque of Abha, the oldest mosque in the country built on the site of a former Abrahamic temple. The mosque is situated on Mua'iz Street, between Al-Ittihad Square and the Fish Market. Kingdom centre tower.

The Kingdom Centre in Riyadh is the fifth largest skyscraper in Saudi Arabia. It was developed as a combined project between a US based architecture firm and a Riyadh based architecture firm. The centre was developed by Prince Al Waleed bin Talal and houses some important financial buildings as well as shopping centres. The centre has an all women area and consists of fashion and furnishing stores especially appealing to the youth.

King Fahd's Fountain

The fountain was donated to the city of Jeddah by King Fahd and hence the name. It is a Guiness Book of World Records holder as the largest fountain in the world and is visible throughout the vicinity of Jeddah. The fountain is of significance in the Arabic world as it is built in the shape of a makhbara or an incense burner which hold special importance in the religious world of Islam. The fountain is lit by 500 high light LEDs.

Masmak Fortress

It holds a historical significance in Saudi Arabia and is considered to be a symbol of unification of Saudi Arabia. The building is an integral part of Saudi heritage which has been converted into a museum which holds displays of antique guns, costumes and agricultural equipment. It is essentially also showcasing landmarks of Saudi heritage and has six distinct parts including the gate, the mosque, the courtyard, the majlis, the towers and the well.

King Abdullah Park

It is the largest park in the city and used to be a former racecourse for horses where several horse racing events used to take place. It also holds public events such as the Saudi National Day celebration when fireworks are held before midnight. The park boasts of a giant dancing water fountain, an artificial lake and gets flooded by pedestrians during the festivals of eid. It also includes a wide pedestrian aisle and there are a lot of paths encircling the fountain.

Located in the vicinity of Mount Al Jubayl, Heet Cave is a natural formation with a small lake inside it. The lake within this cake is famed for its dark green colour which is due to several natural minerals inside it like limestone or anhydrite. The cave has become one of the famous attractions due to its photogenic structure and the beautiful backdrop of Wadi Al Sulay valley.

Dammam Corniche

The Dammam Corniche is well-known for its distinctive attractions, such as a stunning boardwalk and a lovely park with well-kept grass. The Dammam Corniche will keep the nature lover in you fascinated. Take a leisurely walk along the beach and admire the stunning blue waters of the Persian Gulf. Enjoy a cup of coffee from one of the cafes by the corniche and witness one of the most amazing picturesque sunsets.

Al- Balad is the historical area of Jeddah and is one of the largest cities of Saudi Arabia. It has historical importance as it was found in the 7th century and served as the centre of the city of Jeddah. It also houses a Christian cemetery and several other places of interest consisting of some of the oldest houses likeAl Nassif House and Al Jamjoom House. Some of these houses are up for restoration to preserve the old Saudi Heritage.

Red Sea Mall

The Red Sea Mall in Riyadh is the largest shopping mall in the Middle East. The mall is located in the northeastern part of the city on King Abdulaziz Al Saud Street and it is surrounded by a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas. The mall has almost two million square meters of gross leasable area including over 100 shops and restaurants, as well as an eleven-screen cinema complex with 3D movies available.

The Kaaba is one of Saudi Arabia's most beautiful and revered sites, and it is also known as the House of Allah since it is the first Qibla for Muslims. Muslims from all over the world visit the Kaaba during the Hajj pilgrimage because it houses a black stone that Muslims believe was once white but has since turned black after absorbing the sins of millions of pilgrims who have visited it over the years.

Jeddah Corniche

Here’s What You Need to Know Before Visiting Saudi Arabia

For the first time in its history, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that will be opening its doors for tourism by issuing an electronic visa for visitors coming from 49 countries — including the United States.

Anyone over the age of 18 can apply for an eVisa . It costs approximately $120 and is valid for a period of one year with an option for multiple entry, and permits a maximum stay of 90 days in the country. Previously, the Kingdom issued only visitor visas for religious pilgrimage and business visas. This monumental announcement is part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s reform program, Vision 2030 , which aims to reduce the country’s reliance on oil and diversify its economy by way of tourism and entertainment.

Over the past two years, the government has also announced the launch of several ambitious projects, including an entertainment mega-city in Riyadh (reportedly, twice the size of Orlando’s Disney World ), a futuristic beach destination along the coast of the Red Sea, and restoration of UNESCO World Heritage sites. By 2030, the government expects 100 million annual visits, increased foreign and domestic investment in hotels and associated amenities, the creation of million jobs, and an increase in tourism revenue from the current 3% to 10% of the country’s Gross Domestic Product, according to Reuters.

To attract Western tourists and market itself as a tourist destination — on par with neighboring Gulf states— Saudi Arabia has eased some of its conservative restrictions, like granting women rights to drive and travel without a guardian, curbing the powers of the moral police, permitting unmarried tourist couples to rent hotel rooms, and relaxing dress codes.

In an iconic moment, Saudi Arabia recently announced that it would be opening its doors to international tourists, giving them a chance to witness the SR100 billion plan that aims to reform the Kingdom’s tourism industry.

Indeed, Dubai  is home to the world’s tallest building while  Bahrain  is home to the world’s largest underwater theme park, but now Saudi Arabia gearing up to showcase its high-tech cities, pristine islands, and the world’s fastest rollercoaster which beats  Abu Dhabi ‘s record.

Here’s everything you need to know about the five upcoming projects in Saudi Arabia.

The most anticipated project in the Kingdom, Qiddiya, is expected to be Saudi Arabia’s “pre-eminent entertainment, sports, and cultural destination.”

The first phase, which opens to the public in 2023, will include more than 45 individual projects, and 300 activities in the creative, hospitality, leisure, and sports sector. The entertainment city will also feature a theme park, a water park, a motorsports center, and sports and art venues.

The theme park is not just any attraction. For the first time in the Middle East, tourists can enjoy the thrills and rides of the iconic Six Flags in Qiddiya, instead of booking a long-haul flight to the US. The exciting park will include a raptor-inspired rollercoaster, “The Falcon’s Flight,” which is said to be the longest, tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world.

The grand project is set to create over 17,000 new job opportunities. CEO of Qiddiya Investment Company, Mike Reininger said to  Arab News , “The idea behind Qiddiya is simple, yet powerful: To create a place that unlocks the opportunities and virtues that entertainment, sports, and the arts can contribute to a healthy, happy and engaging lifestyle. It’s an idea that resonates with the Kingdom’s young and smart and progressive population, who share the universal desire for these opportunities and experiences. That is the idea, which fully aligns with the Kingdom’s vision 2030.”

Another giga-project, Amaala, is set to be an ultra-luxurious destination targeting wellness and healthy living. The resort will be located in the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Nature Reserve, where tourists can find seven-star luxuries with private villas and a retail village.

In September 2018, when Nicholas Naples was named the CEO of this project, he said, “Amaala represents a unique and transformational luxury experience where full-fledged wellness tourism is integrated alongside a curated mix of arts, culture and sports offerings that are individually tailored for the ultra-luxury lifestyle, including the availability of a fashion scene, healthy-living services, and year-round sea expeditions.”

The destination will also feature yacht clubs, lavish cruises, international as well as local restaurants, cultural events, and concerts.

In line with the Kingdom’s vision for sustainability, the Red Sea Project will enable tourists to explore the rich cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia’s untouched Red Sea Coast.

The sumptuous project will be located between the cities of Umluj and Al Wajh. The plan boasts 90 islands, volcanoes, deserts, and mountains that are strategically placed at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, the Middle East , and Africa.

The island is “within eight hours’ flying time of 80 percent of the world’s population,” reported  Arab News.

The heritage site’s first phase, which will be completed in 2022, is set to open “14 luxury and hyper-luxury hotels providing 3,000 rooms across five islands and two inland resorts on the Kingdom’s west coast, an airport to serve the destination, and marinas, along with residential properties and recreational facilities.”

Along with the utmost luxury, the Kingdom also aims to set new standards for sustainable developments. The location of the Red Sea Project went through many environmental checks to ensure that flora and fauna would remain untouched, and unaffected.

The long term model of prosperity also resulted in the ambitious high-tech city named Neom. The Public Investment Fund has invested USD500 billion in the futuristic city that will be more than 35 times the size of Singapore and will contain over 450km of coastline. Stretching over 26,500 square kilometers, Neom aims to implement technology into sixteen sectors, including food, media, fashion, and sports  bringing the concept of urban and modern living to Saudi Arabia by 2020.

Ad Diriyah, also known as the “pearl of Saudi Arabia,” is a famous tourist destination in the Kingdom. The UNESCO-listed site of At-Turaif is far from the futuristic Neom city; it represents Saudi’s deep culture and heritage. The ancient ground, once known as a trade and pilgrimage route, became the birthplace of Saudi states.

Situated on the outskirts of Riyadh , the tourist destination will soon be hosting luxury resorts, international hotel brands, and entertainment choices. Although the UNESCO site has not been open to the public since 2010, the area is set to open – once again – in 2020.

Jerry Inzerillo, Chief Executive of Diriyah Gate Development Authority, is expecting 27 million tourists – only for Ad Diriyah –  by the year of 2030 . Ad Diriyah’s first hotel is set to open in late 2021.

Dragon Ball Theme Park To Open in Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya Tourism Project

Saudi Arabia ’s Qiddiya Investment Company has announced that it will be building a Dragon Ball Theme Park. As a planned megaproject for tourism and entertainment, construction on Qiddiya, which is located within the capital city of Riyadh, began in 2019. Since then, developers have announced an e-sports and gaming district, Six Flags, a water park and more all to be built within Qiddiya.

The Dragon Ball Theme Park is the latest of 12 planned amusement parks and will mark the first park dedicated to the Dragon Ball   franchise.

More people are eyeing luxury getaways and experiential tourism across the wider GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), Europe, and Asia, with trending destinations, including Turkey and Thailand, fueled by easy visa accessibility. 

Domestic tourism accounts for over 40 percent of our consumer booking volume, which indicates that the country’s efforts to promote local tourism are effective. While religious tourism and key cities still play a major role in domestic bookings, new leisure destinations such as Abha and Taif, as well as luxury getaways like AlUla and the Red Sea, have seen a growth in demand.

Saudi travelers spent more on longer trips in 2023, with both average trip length and spending rising compared to pre-pandemic levels. There’s been a shift towards more luxurious and meaningful experiences post-Covid. Meanwhile, low-cost carrier bookings have increased, showing that travelers prefer economical flights while allocating more for in-destination expenses.

SkiftX: What major opportunities do you foresee for new technologies to drive growth and innovation within the region’s tourism industry?

Ahussain: Technological innovations have revolutionized customers’ travel experiences in the region, with digital platforms becoming the go-to for complete travel planning. 

B2B portals and distribution platforms are also driving industry growth, while white-label solutions allow partners to adopt advanced technology without heavy IT investments. This promotes a more inclusive tourism ecosystem and stimulates growth across all levels of the industry.

The future of tourism relies on continuous digital innovation, including AI for personalized recommendations, VR for virtual tours, and blockchain for secure transactions. Saudi Arabia is positioning itself as a leading digital tourism hub in line with Vision 2030 by staying at the forefront of these technological advancements. Ahussain: Saudi Arabia is making significant investments in infrastructure, new airports, increased flight frequencies, additional routes, the establishment of ground transportation facilities, and a richer array of “things to do,” making it easier for global hospitality brands to expand into underexplored areas, driven by growing interest from domestic and international tourists.

Destination management companies (DMCs) also play a big role in providing on-ground services. They increase awareness of local offerings in collaboration with regional destination management offices (DMOs). Enhanced connectivity and global marketing are bringing previously unexplored territories to the forefront, and our DMC, Discover Saudi, is well-placed to serve the influx of travelers from around the world.

SkiftX: How is Saudi Arabia planning to improve its religious tourism infrastructure?

Ahussain: Religious tourism is the largest economic contributor to the country’s tourism sector. The two holy cities of Makkah and Madinah are popular destinations throughout the year, as per Almosafer’s consumer and inbound tourism data. The Saudi government aims to increase the number of pilgrims to over 30 million by 2030 and is investing in infrastructure to improve the mosques, hotels, transportation, and tourist services in Makkah and Madinah.

Several projects are underway to accommodate increasing visitor numbers, including the Holy Mosque’s expansion and urban development projects like Rua Al-Madinah, a large mixed-use real estate development near the Prophet’s Mosque, and the Masar development giga-project in Makkah.

Recent reforms in Saudi Arabia now allow visitors to perform Umrah with any visa and have simplified visa policies, with residents of the GCC being able to obtain a visa on arrival.

SkiftX: What role does Almosafer play in streamlining the Hajj and Umrah experience?

Ahussain: Mawasim, Almosafer’s dedicated Hajj and Umrah tour operator, provides B2B partners worldwide with a portal to create seamless pilgrimage experiences. Religious tourism is critical to our growth and will be strengthened in 2024 by integrating with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s official booking portal, Nusuk. Mawasim is also among the few companies licensed by the Ministry to provide Hajj-related services in select destinations via its B2C platform, Nusuk Hajj, with plans to serve 10,000 Hajj pilgrims annually, including new markets.

Almosafer has also recently been named the official flight partner for the direct Hajj program through Nusuk Hajj. This partnership will improve the Hajj experience for pilgrims from Europe, the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, and select Asian and African countries, with reliable travel options and a range of additional services from the Nusk Hajj platform.

Ahussain: Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage and diverse geography make it an ideal destination for those seeking immersive experiences. Dubai: Saudi Arabia aims to be among the top 10 global touristic destinations this year, with national tourism strategy aiming to attract more than 150 million visitors by 2030.

Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Saudi Arabia’s minister of tourism, spoke at the Manafea Forum in Medina stating how the Kingdom is on the right path to make the tourism sector an important contributor to the country’s overall gross domestic product (GDP).

In 2023, Al-Khateeb said that the tourism sector accounted for 5 per cent of GDP, with the target of increasing this figure to 10 per cent.

He said: “At the Ministry of Tourism, we were keen to make the legislation regulating the tourism sector characterized by ease, flexibility and clarity, and we introduced new licenses with regard to guest facilities and hospitality.”

He talked about the Tourism Investment Enablers Programme, which aims to achieve these objectives by empowering the private sector as well as creating 1,000,000 job opportunities by 2030.

Saudi Arabia is building the world's first Dragon Ball Z theme park

Saudi Arabia is set to become home to the first-ever Dragon Ball Z theme park — a 5.3 million square foot entertainment venue announced as part of the kingdom's huge Qiddiya project.

The latest tourist attraction announced by the kingdom will feature seven different areas recreating locations from the original Japanese anime television series, more than 30 themed rides, and a number of hotels and restaurants, according to the press release.

Five of the rides at the Dragon Ball Z theme park will be "world firsts," according to the release, one of which will be a 230-foot-high roller coaster called Shenron, named after the series' magical dragon.

Video games and the popular Japanese genre of anime have become targets for significant investment from the kingdom — Japan-based manga producer Toei Animation (producers of Dragon Ball Z) and MiSK, a foundation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, are also collaborating to create anime movies. Saudi's Public Investment Fund (PIF) is also the third-largest shareholder of Japanese video game giant Nintendo .

Qiddiya itself — a planned multibillion-dollar "city" in Riyadh — is a massive plot of desert about 28 miles, or a 40-minute drive, outside the capital Riyadh.

Its planners say it will be more than 360 square kilometers (or around 140 square miles) in size and will have more than 400 specific attractions including golf courses, theme parks and hotels. It's also set to have a Six Flags and a waterpark.

A project of the Saudi's PIF, which oversees $925 billion in assets, Qiddiya City aims to become home to 600,000 residents, as well as host millions of visitors yearly. The fund has poured billions of dollars over the last few years into sports, music events, e-gaming and cultural attractions in a bid to turn the kingdom into a tourist hub and diversify its economy away from reliance on oil.

Vision 2030, the name of this project, a brainchild of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has also set a target of 150 million tourists visiting the kingdom annually by 2030. A massive theme park devoted to "Dragon Ball" is due to be built in Saudi Arabia.

The move marries one of Japan's most beloved cultural exports with the Saudi desire to become a flashy entertainment and tourism powerhouse.

The owners of the Dragon Ball franchise announced Friday that Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya Investment Company would begin building the only theme park in the world devoted to "Dragon Ball," the hugely popular manga series.

The park will be built over 500,000 square meters, featuring a 229-foot dragon and rides and other attractions based on the manga series, said the franchise in a statement.

It didn't give a date for completion.

"Dragon Ball" is one of the most popular manga series in the world and follows the adventures of Goku, a creature with a tail who learns martial arts and seeks to obtain magical balls that can grant wishes.

There are several TV series, computer games, action figures, and several other spin-offs, making it one of the most lucrative media franchises in the world.

The new park is due to be built in Qiddiya City, a planned entertainment district on the fringes of the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The announcement comes as part of Saudi ruler Mohammed bin Salman's plans to diversify the Saudi economy from its reliance on fossil fuels. As part of his Vision 2030 project, the kingdom is seeking to transform itself into a gaming, tourism, innovation, and sports destination.

Many fans of Dragon Ball posting on X greeted the news of the park's planned location with disappointment , citing Saudi Arabia's human rights record.

On one "Dragon Ball" fan subreddit, the news was greeted with comments like: "I'd prefer not to give the Saudis my money."

"Such a thrilling announcement...until you read where it's going to be," posted another.

Saudi Arabia is governed under ultra-conservative Islamic laws, in which women have few rights and homosexuality is illegal, though Crown Prince Mohammed has sought to liberalize the image of the kingdom.

The NGO Human Rights Watch accuses Saudi Arabia of using its huge investments in sports and entertainment to "deflect" from those realities.

Saudi Arabia has been criticized for the brutal murder of dissident Jamal Khashoggi, who the US says was killed by officials in a Saudi consulate in Turkey in 2018, and the persecution of critics, both domestic and foreign-based.

Business Insider last year reported on a 30-year prison sentence handed down by Saudi Arabia to a critic of the Neom megacity, the centerpiece of the Vision 2030 project.

The news of the theme park came only weeks after the death of "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama, who died on March 8 aged 68.

UFC announces Saudi Arabia event date, partners with Tourism WA

M ixed martial arts (MMA) promotion Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced its first-ever event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is to be held on June 22.

In 2023 UFC initially declared that it would stage an event from its Fight Night series in Saudi on March 2, however, that event (UFC Fight Night 238) was relocated to the UFC’s Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, reportedly due to the low stature of the fighters that had been slated for the card.

The newly announced event has already been unveiled as having more star power than Fight Night 238 had, with the headline bout seeing former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker facing off against undefeated Russian fighter Khamzat Chimaev.

UFC president Dana White confirmed the headline on social media, alongside other major bouts such as Sergei Pavlovich vs Alexander Volkov, and added that the event would be broadcast in the US on the Disney-owned free-to-air TV network ABC.

The event will be the sixth UFC card to be broadcast live on ABC, with the first coming in January 2021, courtesy of the competition’s US broadcast deal with sports network ESPN, which is also owned by Disney.

UFC’s current deal with ESPN was first agreed in 2018 and runs through 2025, with a reported annual value of over $200 million.

The Middle East is a lucrative market for the UFC but it has never entered Saudi before. UFC has thus far hosted 18 events in the neighboring UAE, however, as it became a primary location for the MMA promotion during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund the PIF is a heavy investor in rival MMA promotion PFL, UFC’s cemented position as MMA market leader combined with the drive to host martial arts events in Saudi as part of the Riyadh Season sports festival means that UFC will regardless finally enter the country’s burgeoning sports market.

The announcement from White of the Saudi Arabia card coincided with the UFC’s announcement of its new partnership with the tourist board of Western Australia, Tourism WA.

The multi-year deal will see two UFC events come to the city of Perth over the course of the deal, the first of which will be UFC 305, one of the promotion’s top-line numbered events, which will take place on August 17, 2024, at Perth’s RAC Arena.

UFC has staged events in Perth twice, with the first being UFC 221 on February 11, 2018, while the second, UFC 284, took place last February.

At the time, UFC 284 broke the Australian arena record for highest-grossing ticket sales to any event.

A number of UFC’s top stars hail from Australia, including the aforementioned Robert Whittaker and former UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

UFC is broadcast in Australia by ESPN, with which it renewed its rights deal in February .

Western Australia premier Roger Cook stated of the new partnership with UFC: “The return of UFC to Perth in 2024 is a major coup for Western Australia, following the roaring success of UFC 284 that injected millions into our economy last year.

“UFC has proven to be a huge drawcard with a dedicated fan base, and we expect to see thousands of out-of-state visitors travel to Perth to attend this blockbuster.

Professional wrestling promotion WWE, which is owned by UFC parent company TKO Group, hosted its first-ever premium live event in Western Australia in Perth on February 24, 2024, with Elimination Chamber: Perth.

The success of that event, which drew 52,590 to the city’s Optus Stadium, is a likely driver behind the establishment of the UFC’s new relationship with Tourism WA.
