The Wiggles announce Wiggle Groove Tour dates across New Zealand in 2024

Kiwi kids get ready. The Wiggles are bringing their big red car to New Zealand again for a groovy new tour.

Returning to the country in September for a series of shows are all your favourite Wiggle members, including Anthony, Tsehay, Lachy, Simon, John, Lucia, Caterina and Evie as well as their much loved friends, Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.

Kiwi kids and parents can expect to hear all the classics on repeat from Fruit Salad to Big Red Car as well as new songs from the group when the tour kicks off on September 28 in Auckland, winding up in Christchurch on October 2.

They’ll be making appearances in Hamilton and Wellington along the way.

Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster now.

The shows come off the back of The Wiggles star Caterina Mete, who made her debut as a red Wiggle in 2021, announcing last month that she is expecting twin girls .

In a statement released to the Herald , the 43-year-old revealed that with the help of IVF and an anonymous donor organised by her chosen fertility clinic, she is excited to announce she is pregnant with her “beautiful little miracles”.

While the mum-to-be will take maternity leave to spend time with her babies after they are born in July, she will continue to bring smiles to children’s faces with regular performances and recordings with The Wiggles until then - and it appears she will pop on her red skivvy in time to see her Kiwi fans in September.

The Wiggles' upcoming New Zealand tour will now include two adult-only shows

Kiwi kids adults can get ready to wiggle along to all their favourite tunes from The Wiggles when they return down under in August this year.

It has now been revealed that two of the concerts included in the tour will be for adults only!

With many of the kids, who first loved the Wiggles back in the 1990s now entering their 30s, The Wiggles decided to honour them by putting on special shows in Auckland and Christchurch just for those 15 years and older.

What's more, the show will feature the OG Wiggles line-up, Anthony Field, Greg Page Jeff Fatt and Murray Cook.

Meanwhile, Anthony, Tsehay, Lachy and Simon will sing and dance their way around Aotearoa along with Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and the newest member of the crew, Shirley Shawn the Unicorn.

Kiwi kids and parents can expect to hear all the classics on repeat from Fruit Salad to Big Red Car as well as new songs from the group when the tour kicks off on August 20 in Hamilton, winding up in Dunedin on August 28.

They'll be making appearances in New Plymouth, Auckland, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch along the way.

And the tour will feature a very special Kiwi guest, with radio personality Robert Rakete joining the group on stage in Christchurch and Auckland wearing his one-of-a-kind Wiggles skivvy made by students from Auckland's Mayfield Primary School.

Founding Wiggle Anthony Field says the group is "so excited" to be returning to New Zealand.

Last year, The Wiggles celebrated 30 years of entertaining and educating millions of kids - and their parents - all over the world.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday June 10.

To the delight of small people everywhere, The Wiggles are returning to New Zealand for a tour later this year.

Anthony, Tsehay, Simon, Lachy, along with support crew Evie, John, Caterina and Lucia and popular characters like Captain Feathersword will perform in Auckand, Hamilton, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.

Tickets go on sale on March 29 .

Kiwi fans of fruit salads and hot potatoes will be thrilled to learn The Wiggles are touring New Zealand in March and April of 2021.

The 'Rock-a-Bye Your Bear' hitmakers will be performing in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga, Dunedin, Palmerston North, Napier, Queenstown and Invercargill.

Anthony the Blue Wiggle, Simon the Red Wiggle, Emma the Yellow Wiggle and Lachy the Purple Wiggle will perform at all the shows on the We're All Fruit Salad Tour.

They'll be joined by co-stars Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and new addition Shirley Shawn the Unicorn.

"The We're All Fruit Salad Tour is a truly wonderful show and I can't wait for our fans to experience it," says Anthony Field, a founding member of the group known 

"You'll hear all the classic songs you love plus new ones! The show will feature a variety of dance styles and performances that go with different styles of music.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Thursday, November 26 at 1pm.

Tour promoters say a "COVID-19 health and safety plan will be implemented across all of our shows, with the appropriate cleaning and disinfecting measures in place to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our fans, employees and the general public".
