Emma- Tour of the Season March 2024
Write a review.
Description
Our March 'Tour of the Season' yarn club colorway is inspired by Jane Austen's timeless romantic novel, 'Emma.' A deep saturated teal colorway was inspired from the costumes and home comforts seen in the BBC tv adaptation (one of our favorite versions, if we're honest). This latest colorway is the third in the club palette and is accompanied with three coordinating colorways if desired.

The 100 LPGA Tour players who got their 2024 cards after The Annika driven by Gainbridge
The 2023 LPGA Tour regular season concluded with the end of The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, with 100 players locking up their LPGA Tour cards and status for the 2024 season, which begins immediately after the Race to the CME Globe champion is crowned at the CME Group Tour Championship.
Only players finishing in the top 100 in Race to the CME Globe points retain their cards in full. Ranking on the money list doesn't matter.
The players who finish 101st through 150th in the regular season standing are typically eligible to compete in the LPGA Q-Series, a two-event series comprising those players, those ranked 11th through 35th on the Epson Tour season money list, as well as players who moved through Q-School Stage II. Through that series, 45 LPGA Tour cards are decided.
Players who finished 101st through 150th on the regular season Race to the CME Globe points list earn conditional LPGA Tour status for next season.
Of course, players who have better status through wins in LPGA Tour-sanctioned events retain that status.
Non-members who would have earned enough Race to the CME Globe points to qualify for the playoffs also earn membership for next season.
100 LPGA Tour players who kept cards, exempt status for 2024 season

Emma Raducanu set for stunning rankings rise after impressive win against Angelique Kerber
Emma Raducanu’s encouraging surge in form continued as she beat three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber in the first round of the Porsche Grand Prix in Stuttgart – with the win securing her an instant rankings boost.
Fresh from helping Great Britain reach the finals of the Billie Jean Cup at the weekend, Raducanu continued her promising form on clay by breezing past the home favourite.
Both Raducanu and Kerber were playing as wild cards in Stuttgart, with the Briton tumbling down the rankings after time out to undergo three surgeries.
Meanwhile, former world number one Kerber only recently returned from 18 months out on maternity leave.
Raducanu got off to a flying start by breaking Kerber in the opening game and despite an immediate response from the German, the 2021 US Open champion took control and claimed the first set in 41 minutes.
Kerber was broken again at the start of the second set and although she managed to haul back level, Raducanu stepped up a gear and shrugged off a brief visit from the trainer to wrap up an emphatic win.
“It was very difficult to play Angie because she has so much history behind her,” said Raducanu. “You are not just playing Angelique Kerber, you are playing the person who has achieved all those amazing results.
“It wasn’t the prettiest but I just focused on the next point and did not get too bogged down. So I’m happy to have got through that.
“I am playing some really good tennis. I feel like I’m a lot more dominant in my service games. I feel like I’m playing really well. I think everyone that I was practicing with can attest to that too.
READ MORE: Legendary coach makes huge Emma Raducanu rankings prediction
“Yeah, it is, I think it’s a combination of doing actual good practice weeks, doing the right things. I’m really enjoying working with Nick, my coach.
“It’s great to have a familiar face, but I also think we’re just working really well together as a team.
“I think my serve is more of a weapon now. I think the last weekend I played some great tennis. Obviously it wasn’t a lot of much time to turn over since last weekend.
“Yeah, going back up again tomorrow, it’s more just a challenge of the body, but I think I’m mentally in a good place.
“I’m taking a lot of confidence from the training I’m doing.”
Perfect Start 👍👍 @EmmaRaducanu looking very sharp, defeating Kerber to set up a R2 encounter against Noskova! #PorscheTennis pic.twitter.com/avIcmN55qG — wta (@WTA) April 17, 2024
Raducanu was always likely to take time to find her feet on the WTA Tour after her 2023 season ended after this event in Stuttgart a year ago.
Her ranking dropped outside of the top 300 as virtually all the points she had collected dropped off her record, but she is finding form heading into a hectic few weeks of the season.
Many critics have suggested Raducanu should be playing lower-level events in a bid to get match wins and build some momentum after her time away from the game.
Yet her determination to compete with the biggest names in the game ensures she has a chance to make a quick leap back up the WTA Rankings and this single win in Stuttgart saw her climb a stunning 51 places in the live rankings.
If she was playing WTA 250 events or even tournaments on the second tier ITF World Tennis Tour, Raducanu would make a much slower rise up the rankings.
Now she has a chance to get back into the top 100 of the rankings in double quick time, with a win against Czech teenager Linda Nodkova in her next match likely to fire her up to around No 220 in the live rankings.
Raducanu’s current form would challenge players at the top end of the women’s game and if she can avoid injury setbacks, her impressive form on clay could allow her to enjoy rapid rises up the rankings as she has no points to defend for the rest of 2024.

Step Inside Emma Roberts’s “Grown-up Dollhouse” in LA
By Chelsea Hodson
Photography by Michael P. H. Clifford
Styled by Amy Chin
The home is like a womb,” says actor and producer Emma Roberts (most recently seen in American Horror Story : Delicate ), adding that her new Los Angeles residence is a place where she can feel protected and happy. “I haven’t always had that—I think I lived in 10 houses by the time I was 15—so for me now, having a son, I wanted a place that felt really ours.”
After a few self-proclaimed “failed” attempts at decorating on her own, Roberts turned to star designers Louisa Pierce and Emily Ward of the AD100 firm Pierce & Ward , with whom she had worked on a previous residence. Their first step was simply to repaint the stark white walls a creamy ivory in order to begin bringing warmth, depth, and an air of timelessness to the space. “We want a house to look like it’s been there for 50 years,” says Pierce. “We never want a home to look new.”
In the entry hall, a 1950s Italian light fixture, Hunter Douglas window shades, a vintage Welsh spinning chair, a vintage pine accent table, and an antique Persian rug from Nasir’s Oriental Rug Gallery .
In the powder room, a 19th-century English pine chest was repurposed to create a vanity. Newport Brass sink fittings and Arjumand’s World Floral Spread wallpaper envelops the walls.
Keeping in line with this approach, they retained many pieces of furniture that Roberts already owned, doing things like reupholstering the sofa in the formal living room to give old possessions new life. They also incorporated much of the art that Roberts already had, and made room for her collections of dolls, books, and vintage magazines. “ Minimalism is not my strong suit,” she says with a laugh. “Every house I’ve ever lived in feels a little bit like a cabinet of curiosities.” This element of repurposing, Ward points out, helps ensure the home doesn’t feel overly designed.
“I loved the idea of making my very own grown-up dollhouse ,” Roberts says, explaining that she was smitten with the place after seeing it advertised as a rental on Instagram. On a whim, Roberts went to check it out and ended up asking if the owner would consider selling it. When the owner said yes, it all began to feel meant-to-be for Roberts and her now three-year-old son, Rhodes. “I have a picture of the day we moved in,” Roberts says, smiling. “I’m holding him and it was the most sunny California day, and we were in front of the blue door of our new house. I just remember feeling like we are exactly where we need to be.”
A Capiz Shell Globe light and Bardot burl wood coffee table by RH center the family room. Timothy Oulton sofa in Honey Chenille from F & S Fabrics ; Nickey Kehoe chairs; Swedish stools. Artworks on the rear wall include photographs of Joni Mitchell and Graham Nash by Henry Diltz and Debbie Harry by Maripol , and a limited-edition silkscreen of Mitchell from Woodstock Leisure Syndicate inspired by a photograph by Gijsbert Hanekroot .
On her first visit, Roberts had taken one look at the cabinets in the living room and thought, “I can put all my books there.” At the time, the doors were inset with chicken wire, so anything on the shelves would be on full view. Pierce and Ward changed the open wire to solid caning to help create a sophisticated neutral backdrop for the room. This way, Roberts can continue collecting all the mismatched paperbacks she likes without the pressure to style them in any way. On nearby open shelves, many of her prized vintage editions are on display, amplifying the feeling of coziness and adding to the literary atmosphere.
It’s clear a reader lives here. Roberts and her best friend Karah Preiss have run the beloved Belletrist book club since 2017, and two years later, the two started Belletrist Productions, which has produced two television shows so far ( First Kill on Netflix, and Tell Me Lies on Hulu). In this role, Roberts is often reading several books at once.
In the living room, a Radius coffee table by Nickey Kehoe stands between a pair of Louisa club chairs by Pierce & Ward and a sofa upholstered in a Rose Tarlow Melrose House glazed linen. Custom curtains of bamboo silk.
Rhodes has his own mini library in his room, in addition to his first “big boy bed.” The ceiling is covered in a Mulberry Home wallpaper depicting flying ducks because, Roberts explains, “I remember as a kid, whatever’s on your wall and your ceiling is seared into your brain for the rest of your life. So I wanted to make it extra cozy and fun, but not too overwhelming.”
Roberts calls the primary bath her “happy place.” It’s where her son gets ready for bed and, later, where she likes to soak with a book. Right now, she’s reading an advanced copy of The Coin by Yasmin Zaher, which comes out in July. Roberts recently finished The Shards by Bret Easton Ellis, which she recommends wholeheartedly, and After Henry, a 1992 collection of essays by her literary hero Joan Didion , which she bought on Etsy from Womb House Books. This was the last book by Didion on Roberts’s list—she was saving it, because she didn’t want to have read all of her books. Next to the tub stands a bar cart that the design team cleverly repurposed to hold Roberts’s favorite candles and bath salts, as well as Rhodes’s bath toys.
The kitchen , where Roberts makes French toast for Rhodes many mornings, is another favorite area. She recalls feeling that something about the room wasn’t quite right, and the design team told her it needed an island. Roberts was on the fence but now loves the addition. “It’s a game changer,” she admits. “It’s completely changed how we live in the kitchen. It’s just so much easier to cook and so much easier to sit.” When she saw the island, she asked if it was custom-made. Pierce and Ward began laughing and revealed that it was actually a ready-made piece from Urban Outfitters. Roberts recalls them saying proudly, “High-low, baby!”
John Derian’s Rose Mosaic Forest fabric—used on the bed and for the curtains—defines the primary bedroom. Samarcande pendant light from Ebur ; vintage artwork; antique Persian rug.
That open-minded approach has resulted in rooms that look to the past for inspiration while also making plenty of space for living in the moment. Things feel luxurious, but never precious. “A room is never done,” Ward says. “You need to breathe new life into spaces all the time.” So, even though the collaboration between Roberts and Pierce & Ward is complete for now, the design allows for change and growth.
Hanging on a wall of the formal living room is a 1968 Julian Wasser portrait of Didion—the iconic shot of her in front of her Corvette Stingray with a cigarette dangling between her fingers. The photo—one of Roberts’s most treasured possessions—was a gift from her manager David Sweeney, who has worked with her since she was nine years old. It makes sense that this photo would make its way into Roberts’s new home—Didion evokes Hollywood literary glamour in the same way Pierce & Ward’s design does. Here, history and beauty coexist and evolve as Roberts and Rhodes continue to write new stories.

Fair to say America isn’t gripped by Liz Trussmania. Here’s what she can learn from Mr Bean
Our former PM has a dire warning and a book to sell, but it isn’t really cutting through. A bit more Brit-style bumbling might help
‘I know the name,” texts a friend when I ask if she knows who Liz Truss is, but like most Americans can’t quite put her finger on why. “Like 8%,” guesses another when I ask her to put a number on how many of her countrymen she imagines know of Truss. The standard response, in my extremely unscientific poll of Americans as to whether or not they know of Truss, however, was: “No, should I?” – the answer to which, of course, depends entirely on whether you want to understand why the Tory party is polling around 20% or whether you happen to be Liz Truss.
Truss, the only one of us to suffer that particular misfortune, was in Washington DC this week trying, like so many minor British celebrities before her, to catch the eye of the Americans. At the Heritage Foundation, a rightwing thinktank that hosted the launch of Truss’s book Ten Years to Save the West , she came bearing a “warning”. Not an ideal ice-breaker, perhaps, but one clearly tailored to an audience receptive to the frisson of the term “forces of the global left”.
She then provided a perfect illustration of how British people try to win over Americans. “I like to think of the United States of America as Britain’s greatest invention,” said Truss, a piece of comic rank-pulling that relies, for the joke to land, on the delusion that Britain is central to American thinking or penetrates American consciousness at all. Even the sorts of Americans who show up to events at the Heritage Foundation must have been politely baffled by this.
Still, it’s possible Truss did better than the other British export trying and failing to win over Americans this month. Blur’s performance at Coachella last week – and particularly that of Damon Albarn – delivered the timeless drama of a man’s idea of himself crashing into a rival and more widely held view. “You’re never seeing us again, so you might as well fucking sing it,” shouted Albarn when, during a rendition of Girls & Boys, he tried to get a call and response off the ground and the crowd remained largely unresponsive. “Know what I’m saying?” he added savagely. And they did, apparently, rewarding his yelling, sneering and eventual tip into bitterness by continuing to withhold their approval.
The challenge for Albarn, Truss and all the others who have tried to charm this particular away crowd is to project a jaunty, offhand confidence that somehow disguises the scale of the need and the fear of rejection. It can make for an odd spectacle, bad jokes and terrible sycophancy. “The world felt safer when Donald Trump was in office,” said Truss this week, and you wondered at her shamelessness – not because sucking up to Trump is unusual in America, but because, coming from a British person, even a former Conservative prime minister, you assume that she is able to see Trump marginally more clearly than her American counterparts, and that at some level she knows that we know this.
There is, however, one thing that may work to Truss’s favour in the US. British critics of Tony Blair used to hammer him for a smoothness that struck some as pseudo-American, and which contributed to his currency – or at least legibility – in the US. Margaret Thatcher’s strident persona had about it a force that, particularly since she was played by Meryl Streep in the movie, has been claimed by some in the US as “American” in flavour.
But Truss has something that can land equally well coming from British people trying to break the US: an effortless, almost Mr Bean-like social awkwardness that invites in Americans a rival condescension, and is frequently utilised by British people abroad. Truss’s odd syntax, lame jokes and occasionally unnerving eye contact may stand a better chance of landing in the US as charming eccentricity, or an extension of the standard-issue bumbling Brit.
Although, of course, in this case, it’s all moot, because no one knows who she is. The New York Times didn’t cover Truss’s book launch in Washington, nor did the Washington Post, and the book currently sits outside the top 4,000 on US Amazon. Her warning, whatever it was, will go not only unheeded but unheard – with no one more profoundly, one assumes, than Donald Trump.

Just a Few of the Biggest Concert Tours of 2024, from Olivia Rodrigo to Bad Bunny
Posted: April 24, 2024 | Last updated: April 24, 2024
Listening to your favorite musician at home is fun, but there's nothing quite like the experience of singing along with them, and tons of more fans, live. And as luck would have it, 2024 is shaping up to be a massive year for some of the world's top musical acts, so chances are your favorite performer might be stopping at a city near you soon.
Ahead, we rounded up some of the biggest concert tours of 2024, ranging from Taylor Swift's mega-popular Eras Tour to Drake and J. Cole's exciting It's All A Blur Tour - Big as the What?—set to kick off this winter. You can also expect tour dates from classic icons like Stevie Nicks, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, and more.
1) Taylor Swift
Undoubtedly one of the biggest concert tours ever, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour will continue right through 2024. The international leg of the tour kicked off in Japan, where she played four shows in Tokyo. She'll also stop in Melbourne, Singapore, Paris, Madrid, London, Milan, and more before returning to the States to play in the fall.
There's nothing like seeing T. Swift IRL, but don't fret if you're unable to nab tickets—the Eras Tour movie is now available to stream from the comfort of your home.
2) Olivia Rodrigo
This is not a drill—"Drivers License" singer Olivia Rodrigo will be hitting the road on tour starting at the end of February. The Guts World Tour runs from February through mid-August and has dates in Nashville, Toronto, Chicago, and New York City, among others. Even cooler? Rodrigo will have a stacked list of special guests—like PinkPantheress, Remi Wolf, The Breeders, and Chappell Roan—with her.
3) Red Hot Chili Peppers
Did you hear the good news? The Red Hot Chili Peppers have extended their global tour through summer 2024. The buzzy stadium tour, which kicked off in June 2022, will now run until July 2024 and bring the California-based band to places like Los Angeles, Tampa, Toronto, and Salt Lake City.
4) Bad Bunny
It's fitting that "Monaco" rapper Bad Bunny titled his tour Most Wanted —it's slated to be one of the year's hottest tours. Planned to help promote his latest studio album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana , Most Wanted will kick off in Salt Lake City on February 21 and run through May 26.
5) Billy Joel
If you haven't yet seen Billy Joel perform live, there's still time! The Piano Man has added more tour dates to his schedule, stopping in cities like Tampa, New York, Denver, and St. Louis this year. Even more exciting? He'll share the stage with fellow iconic performers Sting and Stevie Nicks for some of these dates.
Mitski recently announced that she's expanding her North American tour dates , and we couldn't be more excited. The months-long tour, which supports her 2023 studio album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, has a long list of stops, including Miami Beach, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Paris.
There's nothing quite like a Madonna concert, that's for sure. The singer's Celebration Tour , which started last October, continues straight through the spring with dates in Seattle, San Francisco, Mexico City, and more. Besides her eye-catching sets, chart-topping songs, and impressive choreography, concertgoers also get a glimpse of the performer's fantastic costumes, which include looks from Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier.
8) Bleachers
The New Jersey-founded rock band, which is fronted by Jack Antonoff—known for producing albums for top acts like Taylor Swift, Lorde, and Lana Del Rey—not only has announced a new album but a new tour , too. The tour will start in the UK in March, ending fittingly in the band's home state of New Jersey in mid-June. Check out their newly released music video for "Tiny Moves" if you need a Bleachers fix in the meantime.
9) Nicki Minaj
Nicki fans rejoice: the rapper and singer might be coming to a city near you soon as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The massive tour will include performances in Brooklyn, Oakland, and Baltimore, with stops at Dreamville Festival and Rolling Loud California along the way.
10) Blink 182
Live out all of your nineties and early aughts pop-punk dreams with one of Blink 182's One More Time Tour dates. The tour, which supports the band's ninth studio album, One More Time..., will bring the trio to cities all over the globe, including Sydney, Santiago, Portland, and Boston. The tour's supporting act is Pierce the Veil, which is also worth checking out.
11) Stevie Nicks
The oh-so-magical Stevie Nicks continues her touring streak with a bunch of 2024 concert dates . Set to begin in Atlantic City, NJ on February 10, Nicks will visit a dozen cities throughout the U.S. this year, such as New Orleans, Omaha, and Chicago. "Let's keep this party going in 2024," the singer-songwriter posted on her Instagram in September to announce the newly added tour dates.
12) The 1975
The 1975 is showing no signs of slowing down. The British band, famous for hits like "Somebody Else" and "Robbers," has extended their 2023 tour through 2024. Titled Still...At Their Very Best , the 22-date tour will open in Glasgow on February 8 and conclude in Amsterdam on March 24.
13) Drake and J. Cole
Rap greats Drake and J. Cole come together for the It's All a Blur Tour – Big As the What? which is guaranteed to be a good time. Drake, fresh off his 2023 It's All a Blur tour with 21 Savage, is set to hit dozens of cities starting in February, many of which J. Cole will also be in tow for. Scoop up tickets ASAP, as Drake's shows are known to sell out.
14) Janet Jackson
Superstar Janet Jackson is also extending her 2023 tour, Together Again , into 2024 with dates in Anaheim, Austin, New Orleans, and Hartford. Even cooler? Jackson's supporting act is the 2000s southern rap legend Nelly.
15) Rolling Stones
If you've ever dreamed of seeing the Rolling Stones perform live in person, now's your chance. The iconic rockers, who released their studio album Hackney Diamonds this past fall, are returning on the road for a 16-date tour with shows throughout the United States and Canada. Concertgoers can expect a mix of new tunes and Stones classics.
16) Bruce Springsteen
Famous for countless listenable hits like "Born to Run" and "Glory Days," Bruce Springsteen is set to embark on a massive world tour this year with his band, The E Street Band. The much-anticipated tour will take the Boss and his crew to cities such as Phoenix, San Diego, Dublin, and Madrid, from March through November.
17) John Mayer
Be sure to catch John Mayer's solo tour this year, which will bring the guitarist and crooner to cities throughout Europe. This leg, an extension of his popular 2023 solo tour, will kick off in Stockholm on March 13 and finish in Dublin on March 29.
18) Shania Twain
Okay, this one is technically a residency , but we're excited nonetheless. Shania Twain, most known for her incredible outfits (her hooded leopard print look, anyone?) and hits like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" is setting up shop in Vegas starting May 10. Twain's residency will take place at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood on and off throughout December 2024.
All good things must come to an end. The Eagles, known for "Hotel California" and other amazing rock songs, began their final concert tour this winter. It launched in Phoenix on January 20, with March 16 as its last date in the United States. Eagles fans won't want to miss this one.
20) Alanis Morisette: The Triple Moon Tour
Alanis Morisette joins forces with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts for their 2024 Triple Moon Tour , which has dates in North America and Canada. This tour is a great one to catch this summer, as it's slated to run from June through August.

The VMAs Will Celebrate Its 40th Anniversary in New York
By Jon Blistein
Jon Blistein
The VMAs are headed home — well, close enough — to celebrate its 40th anniversary: After two years on the other side of the Hudson River, MTV ’s flagship awards show will return to New York, taking place Sept. 10 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, just outside of New York City.
The Video Music Awards debuted in 1984 at Radio City Music Hall. While that storied NYC venue has hosted the show numerous times over the decades, it hasn’t been held there since 2018.
For the past two years, the VMAs have taken place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It’s also recently been held in Manhattan and Brooklyn, but this is the first time the VMAs have ventured out to Long Island. It’ll also be the first time the UBS Arena — which opened in 2021 — has hosted an awards show.

Team trump is ready to lose the supreme court immunity case. they’re celebrating, taylor swift and jack antonoff have reached their limit, kanye west announces 'yeezy porn' amid reports of adult film company.
It’s unclear at the moment if the VMAs have anything special in store for their 40th anniversary. Show details, as well as nominees, will be announced in the coming months.
Last year’s VMAs were hosted by Nicki Minaj and featured performances from artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and Shakira , plus an all-star 50th-anniversary hip-hop tribute to close out the night (probably best not to remember the whole Global Icon Award hubbub around Diddy , though). Taylor Swift took home the most awards , with nine, and ‘NSync even reunited to present the prize for Best Pop Video. It was enough to earn a rousing review of “didn’t even suck this year” from Rolling Stone ’s Rob Sheffield.
