Exactly two months after the Jonas Brothers release their highly anticipated fifth album Happiness Begins on June 7, the sibling trio will be hitting the road to bring their new tunes — and some good ol’ nostalgia — to North America. The bros announced their 40-date Happiness Begins Tour today (May 1).
The trek will kick off in Miami on Aug. 7 and wrap on Oct. 20 at Los Angeles’ famed Hollywood Bowl. The brothers will play arenas in big markets including Atlanta, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Nashville, Dallas and Chicago, with a performance at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden on Aug. 29 — their first MSG show since a three-day stint in 2008.
“We’re so excited to announce this tour and get in front of our fans again,” the Jonas Brothers said in a statement. “We can’t wait for everyone to see what we have planned!”

Concert Review: Jonas Brothers Unleash the Screams at Brooklyn Show

Six songs into the Jonas Brothers ‘ Brooklyn stop on their “Happiness Begins” comeback tour, Kevin Jonas took a moment to reflect.
“Two years ago,” he recalled, “My brothers and I sat in a room and said, ‘If we reunite, do you think anyone will care?'”
That was back in 2017, four years after one of the biggest boy bands split up — to the chagrin of teen girls across the globe — to pursue personal projects. During that time, Nick enjoyed a successful solo career, Joe fronted the band DNCE and Kevin, taking a break from music, had two daughters with his wife, Danielle.
But if multiple sold-out shows for the band’s first major concert tour in 10 years wasn’t already an indication, the blood-curdling and borderline deafening shrieks from longtime fans at the Barclays Center in New York certainly crystallized fervor for a reunion.
“After the year we’ve had,” Kevin roared into the mic. “I’ll say you absolutely do.”
Popular on Variety
The Jonas Brothers, returning to New York for a third time this tour following back-to-back stops at Madison Square Garden in August, didn’t let a cold and rainy night put a damper on Saturday’s show: They kicked off the concert by descending from the ceiling on a rectangular platform, belting “Rollercoaster.”
Judging by the arena’s reaction, it was almost as if devotees had spent the better part of the last decade harnessing their energy, only to unleash it every time the Jonas Brothers so much as opened their mouths. The mostly female crowd (except for the occasional brave boyfriend or seated parental chaperone) needed no invitation, leaping to their feet the moment the brothers glided down from the rafters and didn’t waver for the entirety of the two-hour set.
The Jonas Brothers treated concert-goers to plenty of songs from their new album, from hits “Cool” and “Only Human” to ballads “Comeback” and “I Believe.” But the trio, well aware the masses were just as eager to hear their catalogue from the early aughts, swiftly launched into “S.O.S.” They later had the crowd bouncing with Disney Channel-era favorites like “That’s Just the Way We Roll” before serenading a sea of screaming fans with “When You Look Me in The Eyes.”
Midway through, the band relocated to a back stage with a rising platform, where the brothers took requests from the audience before letting Nick and Joe have their own moments in the spotlight (Kevin had an albeit brief chance to shine earlier in the night with a guitar solo during “Cool”). From there, Nick took center stage to belt a gospel-esque rendition of his popular single, “Jealous.” Then, in an homage to their Disney Channel roots, the duo slowed down the evening with “Gotta Find You,” a song Joe first sang with Demi Lovato in “Camp Rock”; she wasn’t in attendance, but Nick’s vocals more than sufficed. Joe brought the energy back on the main stage with a colorful performance of “Cake by the Ocean,” complete with confetti and dancing inflatable tube men.
Later, Joe pressed the crowd with a controversial question, one of the rare times the band addressed the audience during the night. “Who thinks they’ve been a Jonas Brothers’ fan the longest here?” he prodded. “Now I’m not talking about any fan, I’m talking about the ones that gave a sh– about the Jonas Brothers back in the day.”
“We’re going to do something special for all you O.G. Jonas fans,” Joe promised before launching into a hand-clapping, hip-shaking mashup of throwbacks including “Mandy,” “Paranoid,” “Play My Music” and “Hold On.”
Before an encore performance of “Burnin’ Up,” infused with pyrotechnics, and of course, “Sucker” — the song that jump-started their comeback — the brothers closed the show with nostalgic bangers “Lovebug” and “Year 3000.” Most audience members just hoped it wouldn’t be that long until their next album.

LIVE REVIEW: Jonas Brothers don’t miss a beat with ‘Happiness Begins’ tour
Posted by Logan White | Sep 18, 2019 | Editorial , Exclusive , Featured , Live Reviews , Reviews | 0 |
“I want to throw up,” a fan two seats over from me screams. It’s her last verbal expression before the Jonas Brothers walk out on stage – but far from her last emotional expression. While she (luckily) does not throw up, she’s screaming. She’s jumping up and down. So are nearly 20,000 other people shortly after 9:15pm on September 5 th in Columbus, Ohio.
There’s a three part screen that will serve as the back drop for the Jonas Brothers, shapeshifting throughout the set – at times being one large screen, and other times breaking apart into three individual screens. Throughout the set, there’s a story that plays on this backdrop. It starts with the three brothers walking through a door and coming out the other side as their younger selves. When this is complete, the touring members come out first, standing off to the back of the stage. The Jonas Brothers come down on a rising platform, each decked out in a bright suit (Joe in blue, Nick in orange, and Kevin in green), with a color coordinated mic stand for extra effect.
After opening with “Rollercoaster,” the Jonas Brothers stop and just stare out into the crowd. What ensues is easily the loudest cheer I’ve heard from a concert – one that I’m not sure would have had a safe decibel reading. The screen behind then briefly shows “SOS” and then the band breakings into the upbeat pop-punk track. While the band’s new music sounds categorically different than this song, they don’t miss a beat of it at all.
The screen behind them shows a “What Is Human” video, and the band dives into a staggering performance of “ Only Human .” There’s a pure, admirable moment that comes during the band’s performance “Strangers,” in which Kevin attempts to throw a guitar pick into the audience but it doesn’t quite make it. Without missing a note, Joe picks up the guitar pick and gives it to a security guard, along with a signed CD that he seemingly pulls out of his pocket, asking the guard to hand it to someone in the audience. This isn’t the only time this happens during their set, and you can tell it’s something that their fans (especially the ones that received these gifts) really appreciate.
Kevin keeps a guitar (electric or acoustic) on him at all times, Nick rotates in and out of being an additional guitar player, and Joe confidently walks through the stage all night. But if they’re the main attraction, then their touring members is an incredible side show to watch as well. They all are seemingly having as much fun on stage as the three brothers are, and humorously al interacting with one another all night, truly rounding out the show. It’s something that you don’t see too often, as most times touring members are confined to the back of the stage. That wasn’t the case here, as they were walking around with the brothers all night, sharing the stage as equals and adding an interesting dynamic to the show.
After performing “Fly With Me,” Kevin takes a few moments to talk to the audience. He talks about how they started talking about reuniting as the Jonas Brothers about two years ago, and thanked the fans for bearing with them, and then they dive right into “Used to Be” after a slight wardrobe change, which essentially just involved taking off their suits. During this song, the Jonas Brothers walk off the stage, between the divider that splits the audience into two sections, and immediately are greeted with fans leaving their seats and rushing to the barricade to get closer to the three brothers. Their walk concludes at an incredibly small b-stage a the end of the floor, one that’s barely big enough to hold all three of them. The first song to be played on this stage is “Hesitate,” with Kevin and Nick playing guitar. Back on the main stage, the two screens come together and cover the touring band. A consistent drum kick echoes throughout the arena, as the only sign the band is still behind the screen and not taking any sort of break.
At the end of the song, they take a fan request for “Turn Right,” so they kindly oblige as promised. This time it’s purely just the brothers, with none of their touring band at all. Joe continues his appreciation for fans, at one point during the song he picks up a phone from the crowd and starts recording a video from the stage. While they originally offer to take a second request from fans, Nick instead busts into the opening guitar riff of “Gotta Find You” on acoustic guitar – bringing back memories of Camp Rock to everyone in attendance.
Next up, it’s time for some solo projects to get some love in the set. First up is Nick Jonas’ solo hit, “Jealous” – but this version finds Joe taking over for the second verse and pre-chorus, joining Nick for the rest of the song. When it’s time for “Cake By the Ocean,” Nick picks up a guitar while Joe asks the crowd to go crazy, and they do. Some inflatable tube men come up from the ground, bringing the silliness of DNCE to the Jonas Brothers, and soon confetti shoots out causing even more (good) chaos in the crowd.
Following an interlude where Nick and Joe run off the stage, Kevin finally reappears with a new outfit after the solo projects get their time to shine. He comes up through the floor of the stage, showing off his piano skills for “Comeback.” Nick comes up through the floor with a different outfit as well, ditching his orange jumpsuit for a sleek, stiped jacket and blank pants. Joe doesn’t re-appear until the second verse, wearing black jeans and black jeans. The song ends and Nick takes over on piano for their song “When You Look Me in the Eyes,” a song that played at my eighth grade formal but still holds up today as a solid ballad from the band.
Once again, the Jonas Brothers return to their b-stage. Joe acknowledges, “There’s a few things different about the Jonas Brothers shows now. One thing is, I see a lot of people drinking out there,” and then proposes a toast. He toasts to their fans for waiting patiently on their reunion, and this Columbus, Ohio show. Toasting to new fans and familiar faces. This time on the b-stage, they rip through an impressive medley of their older songs: “Mandy,” “Paranoid,” “Got Me Going Crazy,” “Play My Music,” “World War III,” “Hold On,” and “Tonight.” All the while, the music videos to these old songs are being displayed on the big screens back on the main stage.
After the medley ends, the Jonas brothers go back on their main stage to play “Lovebug” and their ever-so-endearing cover of Busted’s “Year 3000” to close out the set. They run off the stage, but everyone knows they’ll be back out soon. And they return, first with “Burnin’ Up” and pyro all around the stage, and closing out the show for good this time with their impressive comeback single, “Sucker.”
One of the most impressive things about the Jonas Brothers reunion is how they’ve become even more popular than they ever were. For as big as they were, they never had a #1 single on the Hot 100 until “Sucker” came out earlier this year. Another layer to this success is that it has become less “embarrassing” to like the Jonas Brothers. When they were around pre-break up, there was this silly connotation that you couldn’t like the Jonas Brothers unless you were a young woman – something that obviously had no merit. Now, as their fans have gotten older from that time, everyone’s come to realize how wrong they were for shaming others for liking this pop-rock band that just so happened to have a young female audience. There’s nothing wrong with having that audience, and there’s nothing wrong with liking the Jonas Brothers.
Now, they’re back and bigger than ever, and probably don’t care whether you like them or not. The Jonas Brothers are here to stay, and we’re all better off because of it.

About Jonas Brothers
Jonas Brothers took the world by storm in 2019 with the surprise release of their critically acclaimed and widely successful single “Sucker” following a six-year hiatus. The triple-platinum single debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 , becoming the first #1 for the band and the first #1 debut from a group this century. The band went on to release Chasing Happiness, an Amazon Original film documenting the brothers rise and return to music, before going on to deliver their third #1 album debut with the release of their platinum-selling album Happiness Begins (Republic Records). The band continued to soar with their sold-out “ Happiness Begins Tour, ” with over 1.2 million tickets sold.
What’s more, the album garnered the band a bevy of awards including three awards for “Top Duo/Group,” “Top Radio Songs Artist,” and “Top Radio Song” for “Sucker” at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards , a 2019 MTV VMA for “Best Pop Video,” “Best Duo/Group” at the 2020 iHeart Music Awards , two Teen Choice Awards including their prestigious “Decade Award,” as well numerous American Music Award nominations, a coveted Grammy nomination and more.

About Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Ballerini is recognized as one of the most influential women in country music today and
has consistently made history since the start of her career. Following the release of her debut
album, she became the only female country artist to hit #1 with the first three consecutive
singles from a debut album. She has platinum and gold album certifications, a career total
of eleven gold and platinum singles certifications and has accumulated total streams exceeding
3 billion to date. Ballerini has garnered two GRAMMY® Award nominations, won two ACM
Awards and has also received multiple career nominations from the ACM Awards, American
Music Awards, CMA Awards, CMT Awards and the People’s Choice Awards. Most recently, she
received a 2021 ACM Award nomination for “Female Artist of the Year” and was also welcomed
as the Grand Ole Opry’s youngest current member.
Kelsea Ballerini released two acclaimed albums in lockdown last year. In March of 2020, she
debuted her self-titled third album kelsea (Black River Entertainment). Her most personal effort
to date, the album was met with critical praise, including from NPR who opined,
“Kelsea Ballerini is definitely one of the most influential women in country right now… she’s
defining the sound of the genre.” The debut single from the album, “homecoming queen?”,
which the New York Times deemed “excellent,” was certified platinum, marking her fastest
single to achieve this milestone yet. Her third single from the album, “hole in the bottle”
recently reached Gold RIAA certification and earned Kelsea her sixth #1. Her latest single from
the release, “half of my hometown” features a special guest vocal appearance from eight-time
Entertainer of the Year and fellow East Tennessee songwriter/superstar Kenny Chesney. While
under quarantine, Ballerini created the second half of that story, ballerini. On this album, she
carefully deconstructed each song from the kelsea album and re-recorded everything with
minimal accompaniment. Co-producing the release, Ballerini showed another side of herself
with this reimagined take, highlighting the lyrical power of kelsea as she stripped all of the
songs down to the bare essentials.

Jonas Brothers have been a pop-rock phenomenon for nearly two decades, with five full-length albums that have sold over 17 million copies worldwide, and concert tours grossing over $300 million. In 2008, they also became the youngest band ever to grace the cover of Rolling Stone. After six years of exploring solo projects, the trio reunited in 2019 to release the Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum song “Sucker,” their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The accompanying album, 2019's Happiness Begins , debuted atop the Billboard 200 albums chart. A sold-out Broadway run in early 2023 set the stage for an iconic tour: a 37-date stadium and arena run dubbed THE TOUR, which found the trio performing five albums each night at legendary venues such as Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles, Wrigley Field in Chicago and Yankee Stadium in New York.

How are you doing.
What are you doing Song Favorite Jonas Brothers on Tour
The best night ever
I literally went back to being a fan of the guys after the show I went to, listening to the old songs reminded me of the feeling of my childhood, and the energy they give on stage is simply amazing! I would go a million times again
How are you
What is your favorite Song New album coming later Years On Tour singer Jonas Brothers Congratulations
LA&Portland
These men are amazing performers! I absolutely loved every single second, and I will go to every concert that I have a chance of going to!!!! The atmosphere is amazing and I had such great time. I wish I could redo it all over again.!!!!
Incredible experience
I loved going to this concert it was so much fun! The setlist, the venue and the fans were AMAZING!
A DREAM COME TRUE
I've loved the JoBros for almost 20 years and finally got to go see them! I loved seeing them in a smaller venue, it felt more personal. They sounded amazing and played a variety of band and solo songs from all albums!
The concert was amazing best night I’ve had in a while venue was super comfortable sound quality was good and it was air condition. The whole experience around was superb
Couldn't see a thing!!!
While I LOVED this concert, the Jonas Brothers, and every song they sang- this was a horrible concert experience. The 3 screens that they had behind them to show up close shots were blocked the entire time by the speaker system from the ceiling at the Barclays Center. It was ridiculous! We had seats very high up, so I know we shouldn't expect to see everything. But when the screen who's purpose is to allow people seated far away to see them is BLOCKED the entire time, it makes it very frustrating! When I went to the Happiness Begins concert in 2019, they had one large screen behind them which was 10000x better since you could still see most of the screen/up close shots. The way they had the screens set up this time (3 screens high up), they were blocked for I'm sure a lot of the seats in the arena. Hopefully the Jonas Brothers team will see this and fix it for their next concert!
incredible show
Awesome show. Music was great, vocals were incredible, fan interaction priceless. You can tell they really enjoy doing what they do. And it relates to the audience. Have seen them 3 times ( 6 in all ) in the last 5 months. Better and better. Will see them again.
Concert lover
Loved it!! Venue was great and crowd was very fun. I go to a lot if concerts at Choctaw and this was more of my favorites! First time to see the Jonas Brothers live and hopefully not my last!!

About Jonas Brothers
Standing out as one of the most successful groups of the 21st century, Jonas Brothers—Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas—have sold north of 20 million albums and counting, garnered two GRAMMY® Award nominations, earned 26 Billboard Hot 100 hits, logged three consecutive #1 debuts on the Billboard 200, and generated billions of streams. Among many accolades, they’ve recently claimed a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2019, they notably ignited the comeback of the decade with their Platinum-Certified Republic Records debut, Happiness Begins. It yielded the history-making, 5x-Platinum smash “Sucker,” which minted them as “the first group in the 21st century to debut at #1 on the Hot 100,” exploded as the “longest running #1 Pop Airplay Single of 2019,” and received a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.” Bowing at #1 on the Billboard 200, Happiness Begins impressively scored the “biggest sales week of 2019 at time of release” and housed the Double-Platinum “Only Human” and Platinum “Cool.” The band supported the album with the worldwide “Happiness Begins Tour” —selling over 1.2 million tickets—and the Amazon Original documentaries Chasing Happiness and Happiness Continues. Along the way, the members simultaneously juggled prolific solo careers extending into television, film, and successful business ventures. In 2023, Jonas Brothers once again proved they are a constant force, embarking on a new era with the release of The Album, via Republic Records. The Album was produced by Jon Bellion and features hit singles “Waffle House” and “Wings.” In support of the new album and this new era for Jonas Brothers, they kicked off “The Tour” with two sold-out shows at New York's iconic Yankee Stadium on August 12th and 13th. “The Tour” will include stadium and arena dates around the globe through 2024, resulting in the band's biggest and most extensive tour to date.

The Jonas Brothers Are Facing Major Backlash for Rescheduling Tour Dates in Favor of a "Project"
Jonas Brothers fans are calling "S.O.S." over the band's decision to reschedule European tour dates for reasons that seem extremely vague.
Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas took to social media to announce the move, writing, "Europe!! We’re shifting our upcoming shows to later this year. We appreciate your love and support so much. We know this is a bit inconvenient but we can’t wait to share more about what’s coming
"All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date and info is at http://Jonasbrothers.com. More details will be sent out on email. "Latin America - We can’t wait to see you next week!!"
In the accompanying video, Nick said, "We have shifted the European dates to later this year, but that is only because we have some exciting projects that we're very excited to share with you at a later point. European fans, we love you, we can't wait to see you, it's been long overdue, and we're so excited to play these shows later this year in the fall."
The rescheduled shows were originally slated for just a month from now.

Fans were extremely unhappy with the news—especially considering the explanation seemed flimsy—with many pointing out that they had already booked travel and accommodation for the shows.
"So plane tickets and hotels are free ? I'm really pissed off," commented one person.

"Cancelling due to sickness/illness or family commitments I would totally understand," remarked another. "But re-scheduling for a 'project' that you are prioritising over a tour that thousands of people have paid out for, on tickets/transport/hotels DURING A COST OF LIVING CRISIS?????? REALLY????"
"Read the room please how can you all look so happy when rescheduling literally a month before the tour was meant to start?" asked someone else. "The short notice is gonna be hell for us to get refund for our flights and accommodations + getting time off of work. This ain’t nice"

On the band's website , a note reads, "Due to scheduling conflicts, the Jonas Brothers shows have been rescheduled. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date, and additional tickets are on sale now. More information will be sent directly to ticket holders via email."
The three brothers have already played shows in the Philippines, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia, and are headed to Brazil on April 16.
While fans are rightly frustrated that the European dates have been rescheduled for such fuzzy reasons, the Jonases have previously addressed the importance of protecting their mental health when touring.
Joe recently told the Associated Press , "We’ve been burnt out before and then you’re like, 'I still got 20 more shows on this tour.' So we all have our own perspective ways of going about that, and we just make sure that that’s prioritized and also that we think the three of us are communicating as best as we can."

Fans' excitement to listen immediately and, on the other hand, their loyalty to Swift and her release date of April 19 are seemingly at war with one another.
