Essential Japan

Our family had a great time and we see many places in Japan in very short 7 days. We enjoyed Japanese foods and couture. We stayed in good and very convenient hotels that close to all shops. We had a few tour guides and they are very nice and knowledgeable and very helpful. Nadia, David Solanes and Pablo are doing wonderful jobs, although we are the only 3 of English speakers on this tour, they tried to explain as much and explain everything clearly. Especially David Solanes is full of energy and funny personality, he shows us that very much of Japan couture, movie and music etc. and guides us for the restaurants and places near hotel, he is very knowledgeable and very helpful. Thank you for the good time in Japan.

10 Days Splendid Japan with Nagoya (3 star hotels)

This is an excellent tour to see as much of Japan as possible within the time frame allowed. We had an excellent tour guide named HENRY who was knowledgeable, considerate and very helpful. Hotels were clean and three star category. Each hotel had an included breakfast which was basic but always can find something to start your day. As for the Insurance that is offered with the tour, I would suggest searching for other options.

Epic 13-Day Japan Budget Tour: Odyssey Across the Land of the Rising Sun

I did a lot of group tours in the past, more than 50 single trips and this is my second tour with this operator. It’s a budget tour and that’s what you get. Start with the Hostels. pro: - surprisingly most of the backpacker’s hostels were really clean and modern. I always had a good sleep. The showers and toilets were cleaned regularly and the water pressure was perfect. Towels (except of one time) were provided also shampoo, body wash, conditioner and hairdryer etc. contra: - most of the time we had to sleep in 6-10 bed dorms. And of course it depends on the ppl if they are noisy or smelly. Bear this in mind. Sightseeing pro: - we saw a lot of shrines, castles, temples, pubs, restaurants and of course the museum in Hiroshima etc. We could get a slight overview of Japan and all the tourist attractions. contra: - we saw a lot of shrines, castles, pubs and restaurants! Sadly, because Japan is a crazy country and has a lot more to offer. At some point I was bored to visit the next shrine. So I ended up spending a day on my own to enjoy the Japanese lifestyle. Suggestions: Akashi - a cafe in Japan is famous for having one of the most bizarre toilets - it is surrounded by a giant aquarium. Or the Shibuya Sky's escalator. It is the most famous escalator in Tokyo. Transportation pro: - experience the Japanese subway and underground station and the tons of ppl. Don’t be scared. It’s not that bad. Don’t miss! contra: - you walk a lot. If it’s from the train station to the hostel or to other places. Sometimes there were no escalators so you get a great workout by stair climbing. Due to some kind of mismanagement we had two wait two times 2 hours at a train station for our train. It’s just wasted time. If you know there is time to kill you should find an alternative. 7-Eleven is none! Tourguide pro: - our guide was friendly, funny and nice! He already made sure that we got all the information for the next day in the evening before so everyone was well informed. There was not only one moment some one was missing or didn’t know what was going on. He was very thoughtful and managed to handout seat reservations to ppl he knew they are close, so everyone felt comfortable. He waited for everyone who stayed behind, and he showed a lot of patience for everyone, even if it meant waiting until everyone took their 100th photo. He always recommended restaurants, bars or shopping areas. It was easy to find. I can tell that he put a lot of effort into the daily heads-up! contra: - lack of knockledge. I missed information about Japanese lifestyle, behavior, do‘s and don’ts. Most of the time I googled it by myself. - Unfortunately, he was unable to stop some very rude behavior from grp members. If one grp member burb‘s loudly in front of a host, he shouldn’t let this slide. I felt so sorry for this nice host ladies and I felt embarrassed myself! - His acceptance of a random f*ckboy a grp member brought into the grp after a nights out was also inexcusable. This guy showed up regularly at almost every occasion (karaoke/last team event). A few grp members including myself felt very uncomfortable. Mentioned to the guide that he should be the one to stop this (because it’s a group event) was just ignored. To not ruin the mood the grp members agreed to let it slide.

Japan One Life Adventures - 14 Days

Absolutely incredible tour of all the best destinations in Japan! Our tour guide Alyssa was super friendly and helpful, she successfully led us to all of our scheduled destinations and ensured that no one ever got lost. The local tour guides who helped out in Kyoto and especially in Hiroshima also made it a very educational journey. I came to Japan to view the art, experience the culture, and taste some delicious food, and this tour delivered on all levels. I highly recommend One Life to anyone wanting to live life to the fullest and explore a new country. You'll learn a little Japanese and familiarize yourself with the complex but efficient transit system of Japanese cities. Temple stays with Buddhist prayer sessions, vegetarian food, and onsen bathing were personal highlights of this extensive trip. You'll even make a few friends along the way. Be aware, however, as this tour involves a lot of walking and socializing, so you'll want to pack light and train your endurance a bit for this awesome experience. I saw and did so many unique and awe-inspiring things traveling on this tour that I never could have scheduled and visited all on my own, so I'm eternally grateful. Thanks to One Life's 2 week tour of Japan, I feel I now have the skills necessary to navigate the island of Kyushu traveling solo at the tour's end. I hope to return to Japan to attend a few matsuri festivals this summer, as well as many more return trips in the future. Japan is where I was meant to be! If I had one complaint, it wouldn't have anything to do with One Life Adventures, as they were honestly perfect. However, I regret booking with Tour Radar specifically because I feel that they overcharged me quite a bit based on their inaccurate exchange rate. If I had to book this tour again, I would look up the official website of the company running the tour (One Life) and book directly through their site for the best rates. If I could score Tour Radar separately, then they would get 1 star for their poor customer service and basically doing nothing else. But at least their website allowed me to find this wonderful tour, so it was worth it in the end.

All Inclusive Japan Classics- 9 days

I toured with my sons, aged 18 and 21. The whole tour was perfectly paced. Comfortable accommodations in great locations including a couple nights in traditional rooms. Outstanding food every meal. Visited temples, shrines and castles everyone needs to see. Even touristy-experiences (rickshaw ride, silk dyeing, dressing in kimono in Iyashi No Sato, which we were reluctant to remove!) were entertaining. We were not prepared for the incredible awe of the Itchiku Kubota museum. We took advantage of onsens whenever we could. We watched the sun rise on Mt Fuji and visited Kiyomizu Temple in perfect light, before the crowds arrived. I took private time to visit the Hoshun-in bonsai garden at Daitoku-ji Temple in Kyoto and had the entire garden to myself for an hour. Our guide Eriko was extremely well-versed, adaptable and gracious. We learned so much about the Sengoku and Edo periods, as well as the Meiji restoration and even 20th/21st century Japan. For a first introduction to this fascinating and ancient part of the world this tour far exceeded my expectations. Supera found all the right touches and class without any wasted effort. I couldn’t recommend this tour higher - extremely well done from start to finish.

The guide was the best

It was a really nice tour, our Tour guide Aiko and bus driver: Isshiko san was very good to us for the whole duration. Though this was not our original tour, it was ok. I still would've liked to go on our 10-day one instead. This 8 day tour was way too jam-packed. Almost 3 cities a day with only 2 hours to explore in each. We had to choose whether to eat or to explore. Everybody I talked to had their original tour switched to this one. Though the staff did their very best, I can't help but think there was a better way to do this tour. This is a ver tiring tour though you get to see most of Japan in this one trip. For people wanting a more relaxed trip there are better options.
