In addition, the artist performed his first stadium concerts in December 2021, breaking audience records with two performances at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny Pushes His Boundaries With Ambitious ‘Most Wanted' Los Angeles Tour Stop: Concert Review
As Bad Bunny's "Most Wanted Tour" made its first of three stops at L.A.'s Crypto.com Arena Wednesday night, fans dressed in western-themed getups gathered to witness the return of the Puerto Rican megastar for his first outing since his eye-popping "World's Hottest" stadium run . Split into four separate acts, this production felt much more theatrical than his last, as proven by the intricate pyrotechnics and the orchestra - which served as a 10-minute opening act - nestled onto one of two crescent-shaped stages on either side of the arena.
In a swift transition, the strings that introduce the artist's latest album, 2023's "Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana," also introduced his entrance onstage. Then, his booming voice echoed the first lines: "Dicen que el mundo va a acabarse, ojalá que sea pronto" ("They say the world is going to end, I hope it's soon").
With Bunny - or Benito Martínez Ocasio, as he later introduced himself - on one stage and the orchestra on the other, a sea of fans filled the remaining middle ground of the floor. The singer would spend much of the night moving from one side to the other, and the latter half of Act II balancing atop a floating catwalk that rotated, placing him face-to-face with the fans seated in the upper sections of the arena. One (or both?) of the stages also had risers, making pretty much any seat in the house a good one.
Maybe it's the volume of subject matter, or the fact that he's at the height of his fame, but Bunny performed with a swiftness that left little room for improvisation. Act I is composed of fast-paced and seamless trap music following the tracklist of "Nadie Sabe" - a signal that re-established the warning sign emblazoned on the first poster we saw for this tour: "If You're Not a Real Fan, Don't Come."
After dominating the mainstream with his historic "Un Verano Sin Ti," Bunny retreated to his roots with "Nadie Sabe," finding comfort in his "day one" fans, whom he regularly thanked throughout the show. Before launching into Act II, a short film was played, introducing Bunny's masked cowboy alter-ego. It included a short speech about how he embraces being alone, since that has helped inpire the good and bad ideas that lead him to write music, "creating light from darkness." Bunny then appeared from the side of the stage atop a horse, wearing a fringed-out baby-blue outfit that he stayed in for the remainder of the night.
Act II blended a mix of his hard-hitting trap singles, from 2017's punchy "Tú no Metes Cabra" and "No Te Hagas" to the Daddy Yankee-featuring "Vuelve." Further paying homage to this era, Bunny welcomed his only guest for the night, fellow Puerto Rican trap artist Bryant Myers, for a joint performance of their first live collaborative performance of "Seda."
Despite his relentless emphasis on trap, the compact - for Bunny, anyway - two-and-a-half-hour show closed with a treat for fans of his raging reggaeton hits, including "Safaera," "Yo Perreo Sola," "Efecto," and even "Me Porto Bonito." Nearly all of the audience was suddenly on their feet, and it seemed as though every colorful laser and floating fluorescent light in the space lit up to reveal a sea of ecstatic faces. Streamers, confetti, and splashes of overpriced beer and mixed drinks went flying into the air.
What Bad Bunny does next remains to be seen, but if this concert trek is any indication, it's clear his listeners - old or new - are more than eager to follow him wherever he may choose to venture.

Bad Bunny didn’t need to strap himself to a fake palm tree and fly just over the heads of his audience to make anyone feel close to him Friday night.
To be clear, that’s just what the Puerto Rican singer and rapper did near the end of his sold-out concert at SoFi Stadium — a fine bit of stagecraft in a road show, not inaccurately billed as the World’s Hottest Tour, that also featured fireworks, fog cannons and a pair of giant, drone-propelled inflatable dolphins.
Yet Bad Bunny’s special sauce as a pop superstar is the intimacy of the bond he shares with his fans, many of whom call the 28-year-old by his real first name, Benito. Through his quirky charm, his expansive ideas about gender and sexuality, his dedication to the needs of his homeland — and, of course, through his music, which feels deeply personal and attuned to history at the same time — Bad Bunny has cultivated an international following whose intense devotion has a kind of tight-knit familial vibe. People know him (or believe they do); more important, they believe he knows them, which is why SoFi erupted when he shouted out some of the many countries — Mexico, El Salvador, Cuba — to which members of the crowd could proudly trace their roots.
What’s all the more remarkable about this sense of mutual belonging is that it’s only increased along with Bad Bunny’s fame since he scored his first chart hit in 2016. Friday’s show was the first of two at the cavernous SoFi to wrap the U.S. leg of his tour before he heads to Latin America for another couple of dozen stadium dates behind his latest blockbuster studio album, “Un Verano Sin Ti,” the biggest LP of 2022 by far and the reason Bad Bunny is the most nominated act at next month’s Latin Grammy Awards. (“Un Verano Sin Ti” — which pulls from reggaeton, bachata, hip-hop, dembow, synth-pop, mambo and reggae — is widely expected to pick up a nod for album of the year at 2023’s non-Latin Grammys, in which case it would become the first Spanish-language project to be nominated in that category.)
This week the L.A. City Council even designated Oct. 1 as Bad Bunny Day, with Councilman Kevin de León saying that the artist’s “cultural impact will have a tremendous and positive influence on future generations and will redefine Latino culture in Los Angeles for years to come.”
For global phenomenon Bad Bunny, Puerto Rico remains his playground, battleground and muse
At a moment in his career when the American music industry and Hollywood are fighting for a piece of Bad Bunny, he’s fighting for his identity too.
May 13, 2022
This level of fanfare can make a guy go all Bono. Before the flying and the pyro, though, Bad Bunny began Friday’s 2½-hour performance chilling in a beach chair next to a basic red-and-white cooler on a set designed to look like a beach. All night he carried himself casually but with enough swag to show he relishes the privilege of his fans’ adulation; his tender baritone vocals — which he delivered into a microphone customized to resemble the sad-heart figure on the cover of “Un Verano Sin Ti” (whose title translates to “A Summer Without You”) — had a conversational quality, as though he were trading confidences with tens of thousands of his closest friends.
At one point he sat down onstage with 20 or so dancers — men and women of varying racial backgrounds and body types — and passed around a bottle of wine as he sang “Yo No Soy Celoso,” a winsome acoustic ballad about romantic jealousy. Moments later, Bad Bunny was back up, bouncing around to rapid-fire snippets of his harder-edged Latin-trap oldies. In both modes his lightly held charisma made the stadium feel somehow smallish even as the Bad Bunny bracelets his team had handed out twinkled all the way up toward the roof.
To what ends does Bad Bunny use this special closeness? He’s challenging conventional notions of masculinity, as in a gorgeous rendition of “Ojitos Lindos,” about someone rediscovering his feminine side, for which he was joined by the song’s featured guest, Liliana Saumet of Colombia’s Bomba Estéreo, who wore a pink overcoat emblazoned with a fabric vagina.
He’s laying out a clear musical lineage — especially valuable in an era when digital streaming has made it easier than ever to take an ahistorical view of pop. (Think of “Un Verano Sin Ti” alongside Rosalía ’s “ Motomami ” and Beyoncé’s “ Renaissance ” as key artifacts in a developing push among A-list stars to show their reliance on the work of trailblazers.) At SoFi, Bad Bunny brought out several important figures from reggaeton’s past: Chencho Corleone of Plan B, Jowell y Randy and Ivy Queen, the last of whom he gave the stage so she could do a brief performance of her own.
He’s also — and maybe here’s a touch of Bono after all — advocating for political change. For his next-to-last song, Bad Bunny performed the throbbing and rave-y “El Apagón” (or “The Blackout”), which he wrote after a private company took control of Puerto Rico’s vulnerable power grid last year — and which felt all too relevant Friday given the island’s recent power failures in the wake of Hurricane Fiona. The song is a furious critique of colonialism and its legacy, and Bad Bunny followed it by inviting a live drummer and horn players to help him close the show with an extended jam on “Después de la Playa” — a horny post-swim come-on in which the musicians, and the audience, found ecstatic solidarity.

With only one more show left on the docket, Bad Bunny has just about finished the North American leg of his “World’s Hottest Tour.” That title has certainly lived up to its promise, as the Puerto Rican phenom achieved the top-grossing tour of August with this trek, consisting of several stops in the country’s biggest venues. Last night, he pulled out all the stops for the first of two back-to-back shows at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium.

At around 8:50 p.m., the glimmering introductory notes of “Moscow Mule,” the first cut from “Un Verano Sin Ti,” kicked the night off. The piercing screams and shaky floorboards ushered Bad Bunny’s launch. From there, he welcomed his first surprise guest, Chencho Corleone onto the stage. The pair sang their summer-defining “Me Porto Bonito” and instructed the stadium to sing along in an acapella rendition of its infectious chorus.
A few songs later, Jowell and Randy, the pair of reggaeton champions behind “Safaera,” joined Bunny for an explosive performance of the song. The three took turns spitting their verses, playing off of each other’s energy at the center of the stage while the booming bass of the reggaeton drum beats directed the next track. However, no one could’ve expected the thrill that would come next.

He and his dancers then took a short seated break on the stage’s faux beach set-up to take turns drinking from a bottle of wine while interacting with fans in the first rows. He jokingly pointed out a brunette girl who was sitting on someone’s shoulders as Becky G, put a call out for all the party-going singles in the room and sent a few well wishes to all the couples, before welcoming one more guest that night: Bomba Estéreo’s Li Saumet, who joined him on stage in a neon pink and green look for their Latin Grammy-nominated “Ojitos Lindos.”
The night continued with Bad Bunny delivering a speech — of which he repeated bits and pieces throughout the night — expressing his appreciation to fans who had been there for him since 2016, and to those who had joined him during the release of his blockbuster “Un Verano.”
By the time the night’s finishers, “El Apagón” and “Después De La Playa,” began to play, the audience was ready to give up any last bits of energy they had left. On stage, a full-blown party between Bad Bunny, his dancers and band served as an example to the rows of fans while fireworks and pyrotechnics helped put a close to the night. On their way out, buzzing concert-goers filled the SoFi Stadium’s never-ending hallways with sing-alongs to standouts from the set.
Bad Bunny will play one more show at the SoFi Stadium tonight, on what has now been declared “Bad Bunny Day” in L.A., the City Council confirmed on Saturday morning. According to a KTLA report, L.A. City Councilman Kevin de León proposed the decision (which was backed by every council member) to honor the reggaeton artist’s “Immense cultural impact to the Latino community across the city of L.A.”
He continued: “The City of LA’s population is 50% Latino, one of the largest Latino populations in the world outside Latin American countries. Bad Bunny’s cultural impact will have a tremendous and positive influence on future generations and will redefine Latino culture in Los Angeles and beyond for years to come.”
Bad Bunny will head south on Oct. 21 to play the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Central and South American trek will conclude at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca on Dec. 9

Bad Bunny is asking fans to register for the Most Wanted Tour sale to:
- Help block bots and scalpers
- Get more tickets to real people who want to attend the show
- Reduce resale (only 5-10% of tickets using registration are resold vs 20-30% of others)
Registration does not guarantee access to the sale, or to tickets. We expect there will be high demand for this tour meaning that only a limited number of fans will be randomly selected to get access to the sale based on ticket availability. Every fan who successfully registers will have a chance to be selected.
How do I register?
It’s simple: just sign in and choose your show(s).
Here’s what happens next:
SAME DAY: You’ll get an email confirming your registration within 24 hours.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24: You’ll get a second email in the evening telling you if you were selected to get access to the sale or waitlisted.
- If you’re selected, you’ll also get a text with your unique access code to use for the sale.
- If waitlisted, you might still have a shot later if any tickets remain.
How do I register for the Bad Bunnys Most Wanted Tour sale?
Registration will be open at registration.ticketmaster.com/badbunny2024 until Sunday, October 22 at 11:59 PM ET.
Will I be more likely to get access to the sale if I register early?
No. It’s not a race. The selection process is random, and fans can register any time for a chance to access the sale.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, October 25 beginning at 11 a.m. local time. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I access the ticket sale once I get a code?
Use the link in your email to join the waiting room up to 30 minutes prior to the start of your sale. When the sale opens you’ll automatically be placed in the queue and when it’s your turn to shop you’ll hear an alert and then be asked to enter your unique access code.
Please note, ONLY fans who were selected to receive a code will be able to join the waiting room and queue. Once in the sale, tickets are first come, first served.
When should I expect my access code?
If you are selected to join the sale, you’ll get a text with your unique code and a sale link the evening before your sale begins.
Can I transfer my code to someone else?
No, codes are unique to the account they’re issued to and won’t work if shared.
What are the age restrictions for the event?
This event is all ages.
Tickets have gone on sale, I registered and never received my code?
Registering does not guarantee you will receive a unique access code. You should have received a confirmation email on the day you registered and a second email on Tuesday, October 24 telling you if you were selected to get a code or waitlisted.
Why didn’t my code work?
You may have maxed out your six (6) ticket per account limit. Due to demand, all events have a ticket limit to allow more fans like you to get tickets.
What happens if I’m waitlisted?
If tickets remain after the initial sale you may get another shot. In that case, you’ll receive an email or text with additional details.
Why is the artist choosing to use registration?
Registration helps block bots and scalpers from the sale and gives everyone who successfully registers a shot at getting access.
I’m a real person — not a bot or reseller. Why didn’t I get access?
Selection is random and not a measure of how big a fan anybody is. There were more fans registered than there are tickets available for this tour so a limited number of fans get access to sale, and others must be placed on the waitlist. The number of fans who receive access depends on the number of tickets currently available — this is done to help create a less crowded ticket shopping experience for fans.
- Ayudar a bloquear bots y revendedores
¿Cómo me registro?
¿Puedo transferir mi código a otra persona?
