Beartooth, The Plot In You, Invent Animate & Sleep Theory Set For 2024 North American Tour

Gold-certified melodic metalcore outfit Beartooth have rolled out the dates for a North American headlining run in support of their newly released album “ The Surface “. Direct support will come from gold-certified alt rock/metalcore outfit The Plot In You , with Invent Animate and Sleep Theory rounding out the bill. Pre-sales for the tour have already commenced with the general onsale to launch this Friday, October 20th.

Trivium + Beartooth Announce Co-Headlining 2023 U.S. Tour

It's on! Trivium and Beartooth promise to deliver one of the best one-two combos this spring when the two acts unite for a U.S. co-headline tour.

The 29-city run kicks off May 1 in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania shortly after a late April string of Beartooth festival appearances. The two acts will then travel across the country with support provided by Malevolence and Archetypes Collide until with a June 15 finale in Seattle, Washington. See all of the stops listed below.

Trivium state, "TRIVTOOTH! We are elated to announce our co-headlining monster of a tour with the incredible Beartooth. We have been fans of what they do, and pals with them for ages — so it's great we're finally doing something so massive together. Trivium and Beartooth are both bands supported by each of our wonderful fan-bases — so we know these shows are going to go off. Add in Malevolence, one of our favorite bands on the planet, and Archetypes Collide, one of Beartooth's favorites, and we have a hell of a bill.”

"I'm so excited to go out on this amazing tour with metal legends Trivium," adds Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo . "When the stars aligned and it was possible, it truly was a no-brainer. Tickets for the run go on sale this Friday (Feb. 3) at 10AM local time through Ticketmaster . Both bands also will have VIP ticketing upgrades that you can find through Soundrink .

BEARTOOTH announce massive 2024 headlining tour

Beartooth  just released their new album, The Surface , last Friday. Next year, they'll be taking it out on the road. 

Today (October 16th), Caleb Shomo and Co. have announced a massive North American headlining tour that begins in January 2024 and continues on through March. They'll be joined by The Plot in You, Invent, Animate and Sleep Theory.

The tour kicks off January 12th in Cincinnati and will hit every region of the U.S. — as well as a couple dates up in Canada — before concluding over two months later in Fort Wayne, IN, on March 14th.

"I cannot wait to get back on tour and play a bunch of new songs for a bunch of amazing fans," Shomo said in a press release. 

"We get to take out three awesome bands doing great things for the scene. We're gonna play loud, hot, and fast, and serve up all the new stuff like you've never seen before.

BEARTOOTH has announced an extensive North American headline tour to precede the band's European dates next fall. They'll hit the road with THE PLOT IN YOU , INVENT ANIMATE and SLEEP THEORY from January to March, bringing their new album, "The Surface" , to over 40 cities across North America.

A special BLABBERMOUTH.NET presale will begin on Wednesday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. EDT and end on Thursday, October 19 at 10:00 p.m. local time. Like its predecessors, "The Surface" is an intensely personal and powerful journey for Shomo , who has never shied away from sharing his demons in his music and with his fans. However, the frontman has turned a corner with a more optimistic outlook and demonstrates exceptional growth as both an artist and a human being through the songs that comprise the album.

"This album is the end of the story of a very important decade of my life and that was my 20s," the frontman shares. "It's been very up and down, sometimes more down than up. Taylor Swift kicks off European tour in Paris with setlist changes

Taylor Swift fans from North America are going the extra mile — literally.

The pop star kicked off the 18-city European leg of her “Eras Tour” on Thursday in Paris, where she was joined in the París La Défense Arena by thousands of American Swifties who flew overseas to see her.

Thursday’s concert introduced a new setlist that reordered certain eras — including by moving “Red” up to earlier in the night — and combining the “Evermore” and “Folklore” eras, according to social media users who posted from the concert. She also performed songs from “ The Tortured Poets Department ” for the first time .

More than a quarter of tickets for the four Paris shows this weekend were purchased by Americans, according to Frédéric Longuépée, CEO of the París La Défense Arena. Tickets for the venue’s shows all sold in under an hour, he added.

“To the best of my understanding, a lot of Americans chose to come to Paris to attend this show and obviously visit our beautiful city,” said Longuépée, who estimated “something like 25–30%” of the crowd would be Americans, “which is big.”

Kennedy Smith, 21, skipped her college graduation to fly with her mother, Kathleen Smith, 56, from Texas to Paris to attend Swift’s concert instead.

Kathleen Smith said getting to see the singer was “nothing short of a miracle” — the pair stayed up all night in hopes of securing tickets, which cost them around $1,500 each. The two were first in line Wednesday to purchase merchandise at the venue, walking away with two bags full of Swift-themed gear.

Her daughter called the experience the “trip of a lifetime.”

“This is my graduation-from-college gift at Texas A&M,” she said. “And I’ve always wanted to come to Europe. ... And then to be seeing Taylor Swift, it’s just a dream come true.”

Securing tickets for the North American “Eras Tour” initially proved so difficult that the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing criticizing Ticketmaster’s “monopoly” after the platform canceled ticket presales in November 2022 amid overwhelming demand.

Some fans had reported that their invite codes failed to work, while others said they abruptly lost the tickets they had already placed in their cart. The chaos, which garnered a response from Swift herself , led Ticketmaster to offer some scorned fans a second chance at buying tickets.

The saga continued last year when Ticketmaster halted ticket sales for the “Eras Tour” shows in Paris and Lyon, after the website crashed amid technical glitches and hourslong wait times plaguing the more than 700,000 fans in the queue.

Zoe McCormack, a Canadian fan who experienced the Ticketmaster crash , said she managed to get tickets the following week for multiple nights in Paris, where she now lives. She said her non-VIP tickets here cost €190 each, or about $205, making them more affordable than U.S. tickets.

Many tickets for Swift’s shows in Europe cost only a fraction of what tickets cost for her U.S. dates, making them more financially accessible for North American fans who either failed to secure tickets in the U.S. last year or found prices too exorbitant. Some resale tickets sold for tens of thousands of dollars.

“I’m so happy that she came to Paris, especially since she has that ‘Paris’ song. I’ve been waiting for this moment ever since I moved to Paris,” McCormack said. “I’m so excited to be here. I can’t believe that it’s already here because we got the tickets almost a year ago. So it’s been a whole year of anticipation, getting the costumes ready, getting our bracelets ready.”

Traveling to see concerts abroad is not a new phenomenon, as buying tickets for concerts in the U.S. has become an increasingly competitive and highly expensive ordeal for fans of popular artists such as Swift, Beyoncé and Olivia Rodrigo . Many American fans of Beyoncé also opted to see her “Renaissance World Tour” in Europe instead .

Swift’s next stop, in Stockholm, expects to see about 10,000 American attendees, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Chief Economist Carl Bergqvist told The Associated Press . Airlines have also added extra flights from bordering Nordic countries, he added.

The pop star was lauded last year by the U.S. Federal Reserve and several municipal governments for her economic impact as “The Eras Tour” boosted tourism revenue nationwide. Europe may experience the same effect, as Bergqvist said Stockholm’s 40,000 hotel rooms are sold out for Swift’s three tour dates there, and that “Eras Tour” concertgoers are expected to inject around 500 million Swedish krona, or more than $46 million, into the local economy.

Swifties dress in 'Tortured Poets' themed outfits for Eras Tour kickoff in Paris

PARIS — La Défense Arena is crawling with tortured poet outfits as Taylor Swift begins the sophomore year of her behemoth Eras Tour .

Swift added her 11th studio era, "The Tortured Poets Department," to the set list after the record-breaking album came out on April 19. That didn't give much time to get an outfit ready for devout poetry fans like Sanne Wit.

"I am absolutely in love with the new album," says Wit outside the stadium in a black dress similar to the one Swift wears in the "Fortnight" music video . The Swiftie flew in from the Netherlands with her friend Lotte Lutjes to watch the concert.

"I make outfits all the time," says Wit, who only had about a fortnight to sew the black dress, "but I thought this was very suitable for France so that's why I wore it."

Seven of the 31 "Tortured Poets" tracks were incorporated into the new set . The singer dubbed the album "Female Rage: The Musical."

"I like how it's kind of a journey of her previous work with references from past albums," says fan Lena Valence, dressed in a ruffled and tulle black dress.

Valence is referring to parallels found in previous songs. For example in "So Long London," Swift sings "and I'm just getting color back into my face" as an answer to a line in her song "You're Losing Me": "My face was gray, but you wouldn't admit that we were sick."

Valence added five diamond-esque bobby pins in the shape of XIII, the roman numeral for "13."

Other fans searched Etsy to nab last-minute tees like sisters Morgan and Kendall Kutzavitch. Sporting their white tees with "But Daddy I Love Him" in bold red letters, they anticipated hearing the track live.

"I was gonna wear an 'I Love Taylor Swift' T-shirt, and then I had this idea once "Tortured Poets" came out," Morgan says. When asked about her reaction to Swift singing the song Kendall jokes, "I'll be like, oh my God, my voice will be gone. My voice will be absolutely gone."
