Appreciate the temple's beautiful architecture and design. The temple is adorned with historical inscriptions and intricate carvings narrating the tales of Buddha's enlightenment. Close to the Mahabodhi Temple lies the Bodhi Tree under which Buddha meditated for years. The Bodhi Tree symbolizes knowledge, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment. Day 1 - Arrival at Bodhgaya

Arrive at the Bodhgaya airport or railway station.

Day 2 - Bodhgaya – Nalanda – Rajgir – Bodhgaya

After breakfast get driven to Rajgir, the rainy retreat of Lord Buddha.

Itinerary Details

Nalanda was destroyed three times but was rebuilt only twice. It was destroyed by an army of the Mamluk Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate under Bakhtiyar Khalji. Nalanda is now a notable tourist destination and a part of the Buddhist tourism circuit.

Bodh Gaya is a Buddhist religious site and place of pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple in Gaya district in the Indian state of Bihar.
