Day 1 - Arrival at Bodhgaya

Arrive at the Bodhgaya airport or railway station.

Day 2 - Bodhgaya – Nalanda – Rajgir – Bodhgaya

After breakfast get driven to Rajgir, the rainy retreat of Lord Buddha.

Itinerary Details

Upon arrival at the Bodhgaya airport or the railway station, you will be met by a Tusk Travel team who will assist you in getting to your pre-arranged hotel.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arriving at Gaya

Arriving at Gaya Jn Station in the early morning (6:30 am) by train. Transfer to Hotel at Gaya/Bodhgaya. Pindda dan, Local & Bodhgaya Sight seeing.

Move to Rajgir from Gaya in the early morning by Volvo Bus /Good Tourist Bus/ Cab which will be Cheaper. Transfer to Hotel at Rajgir (Expected within Noon). At afternoon, all Rajgir local sight seeing including Ropeway ride by Cab/Tanga.

Day 3 : Pawapuri & Nalanda

Go to Pawapuri & Nalanda in the Morning from Rajgir. Comeback to hotel at Rajgir within 12 Noon. After refreshment & Launch move for Bakhtiyarpur Rail Station to catch the train for Jasidih Jn - 18621-PATLIPUTRA EXP at 16:23. Arrive at night 9 pm(21:00) in Jasidih Jn. Transfer to Hotel at Jasidih/ Deoghar.

Nalanda was an ancient Mahavihara, a revered Buddhist monastery which also served as a renowned center of learning, in the ancient kingdom of Magadha (modern-day Bihar) in India. The university of Nalanda obtained significant fame, prestige and relevance during ancient times, and rose to legendary status due to its contribution to the emergence of India as a great power around the fourth centuryToday, it is a UNESCO World Heritage.

At its peak, the school attracted scholars and students from near and far, with some traveling from Tibet, China, Korea, and Central Asia.[9] The highly formalized methods of Vedic studies.

Nalanda was destroyed three times but was rebuilt only twice. It was destroyed by an army of the Mamluk Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate under Bakhtiyar Khalji. Nalanda is now a notable tourist destination and a part of the Buddhist tourism circuit.

Bodh Gaya is a Buddhist religious site and place of pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple in Gaya district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is famous as it is the place where Gautama Buddha is said to have attained Enlightenment (Pali: bodhi) under what became known as the Bodhi Tree. Since antiquity, Bodh Gaya has remained the object of pilgrimage and veneration for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Bodh Gaya is the holiest place for Buddhists. It is a small town. The pilgrims come from all around the world.

DAY :- 3  FULL DAY VISIT NALANDA | JAL MANDIR

Early morning checkout for Nalanda. Breakfast on the way, visit Jal mandir, Nalanda ruins, and Nalanda Museum. Back to the hotel. overnight stay at Rajgir Hotel.

DAY:-4  RAJGIR SIGHTSEEING
