What a great show by Bush at Red Rocks.
Rossdale's energy was there for every song and even after going nonstop for 8 songs he he still had the energy to go up through the audience through 70 rows of seats while singing, come back down and go straight into the next song. Some feat for someone who isn't used to our altitude.
I think Bush only played 10 songs though while STP played 12 and the Cult 11. If anyone should have had less time I wish it were the Cult and not Bush. I'll absolutely watch Bush if they come back next year.

I was blown away by the overall performance and presentation of Bush. It was a visually pleasing show with background videos and multi color lights for each song. Gavin delivered a killer performance on vocals plus he was super friendily with fans running around the venue. The band was cohesive in music and it felt like listening to any of their albums. I would definitely see them live again and recommend Bush if you're a big fan.
These guys rock, after so many years they still put an amazing show full of energy.
They played hits from all their albums including many from their first one and it felt like grunge never ended.
Also great visuals on a massive screen behind them.
When they played "little things" Gavin dived into the crowd and joined pogo dancing crossed all the dancefloor and reappeared on the 2nd floor where he continued singing and partying with the audience, proper epic!

- Route & GPS
Day 1: 80km
What a great way to start this day high up in the Drakensberg mountains. The sun would have risen as we cycle along the top of the escarpment with sweeping views over KwaZulu Natal. The purpose-built single track built by Sollie Prinsloo traverses through legendry places like Sollie’s Folly, Kirstenbosch wild proteas and yellow wood forests. The Descent into KwaZulu Natal begins at an altitude of 1800 metres above sea level and drops to 900 metres. We begin the descent down an old 4×4 pass called Bezuidenhout’s pass used by local farmers to move their cattle up into the Free State for the summer months and then back down again in the winter. We then veer off on tracks down Qwaggshoek Game farm a beautiful game farm covering both mountains and forest valleys before we end up at the farm entrance. Some fast farm roads then bring us to maize and soya bean fields before arriving at our final big climb of the day passing the historic Easby house. Flowing single tracks under beautiful Acacia trees and the final drop down to The Tugela River ends one of the great days of riding your mountain bike.
Day 2: 62km
Leaving the race village, we soon start climbing out of the Tugela valley past the historic Spioenkop lodge before a long descent through Mount Alice Farm. We will have great views of the Drakensberg mountains as we climb back up via Shongololo single track. Another long descent down Big Red, a 4 x4 track, takes us into St Anton’s – an exhilarating purpose-built track down a ravine riding through large herds of game. Riding along some quiet farm roads we eventually come to the challenge of the day Mike’s Pass. This short sharp cheeky climb challenges most riders before summiting out onto the most incredible views of the Tugela River far below. We then descend down the most fun sections of the day being Puffadder pass and Mazambane. Following single track riding along the banks of the Tugela River we eventually arrive home having had such a fun day out.
Day 3: 52km
Early morning will take the riders to the base of Spioenkop on the southern side of the mountain where we ascend the Zig Zigs. Here riders follow a mellow gradient up and around 13 corners to where the real fun begins. We traverse the side of the mountain for a while before descending down the Fanagalo single track, a section of route which was used in The World Single Speed Champs a few years ago. Riding along the banks of the Tugela River, we pass through Tugela River Lodge before the next climb of the day, which is up and over Brakfontein Hill. Boer fortifications can be seen where they waited for the British to cross the river in 1899. Riders then descend down into The Kloof, a fun flowing section through beautiful African bushveld. At the bottom of The Kloof we ride along the dry river bed, passing Blue Cliffs before climbing out the other side on a section built by well-known trail builder, Glen Harrison. A fast descent, and along sections following cattle tracks, we eventually arrive at Spioenkop mountain climb. This 1.5km climb tests everyone’s fitness before summiting. The 13km descent back to the race village remains a highlight for many mountain bikers.

Pga tour lays out how the player equity program will work.
- Rex Hoggard ,
- Rex Hoggard
In February, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan introduced the rough outline of the Player Equity Program, a vesting plan for the circuit’s new for-profit arm that will carve up a hefty portion of the initial $1.5 billion investment from Strategic Sports Group. On Wednesday, players were given a more detailed version of the program, PGA Tour chief competitions officer Tyler Dennis confirmed on “Golf Central.”
The initial player equity grants will be approximately $930 million distributed to 193 players via four categories, starting with the game’s stars. Monahan informed players on Wednesday via a letter of their individual grants.
“There’s no other sports league in the world that has this significant number of their athletes as owners of their own sports organization,” Dennis said.
“We want to grow the PGA Tour in many different ways and having the alignment of players as player-owners with the organization is going to allow us to drive that quickly forward.”
The first group includes 36 players receiving $750 million in equity based on the last five years of play. “Career Points” will be awarded based on how many years a player has been a Tour member, how many times they earned a spot in the Tour Championship and how many times they have won, with extra points awarded for high-profile victories like the majors, The Players Championship and the FedExCup.
Group 2’s share of the initial equity will be much smaller ($75 million) and will be granted to 64 players. The group is considered “steady performers and up-and-comers” and will be based on FedExCup points earned over the last three years.
Equity to Group 3 will be $30 million going to 57 players based on career earnings and how many times a player finished inside the top 125 in FedExCup points.
The final group will include “past legends,” like Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson, with $75 million going to 36 players based on the “Career Points” formula. Those grants will only be awarded to “past legends” that are living.
Perhaps most important to players will be the program’s eight-year vesting period. The grants will be worth 50% of their value after four years, 75% after six and 100% after eight years, when a player will be able to sell their equity in PGA Tour Enterprises, the for-profit arm the Tour created for the program. At each vesting benchmark players will be responsible to pay taxes on the grants.
The program has been created to encourage loyalty to the Tour in the face of ongoing challenges from LIV Golf, and the requirements of maintaining membership (which includes a minimum of 15 starts each year) would mean players who join LIV Golf would not be eligible for the program or would give up any unvested equity if they were to join the rival circuit.
“We want the players to be fully aligned with their organization,” Dennis said. “It’s something no other sport has done before and we’re seeing an incredible amount of excitement about that.”
SSG valued the PGA Tour at $12.3 billion when the group, which is led by Fenway Sports, became a minority investor and the assumption is that valuation will continue to increase like most professional sports franchises in the United States.
The remainder of the initial $1.5 billion investment (roughly $600 million) will be awarded in recurring player grants of $100 million each year, beginning in 2025 through 2030. These grants will be awarded based on performance and Player Impact Program results with an eye toward young talent, like Ludvig Åberg or Nick Dunlap.

Moscow Metro
The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.
What is the kremlin in russia?
The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.
And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.
During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.
There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Why Reggie Bush lost his Heisman Trophy, and why he is getting it back now
After years of debate, Reggie Bush is finally getting his Heisman Trophy back

Share All sharing options for: Why Reggie Bush lost his Heisman Trophy, and why he is getting it back now
The 2005 Heisman Trophy race came down to three players. USC running back Reggie Bush, Texas quarterback Vince Young, and USC quarterback Matt Leinart, who won the previous season.
Leinart was able to cast a vote as a former winner, and along with a majority of other voters he cast his ballot with his teammate, Bush, on the top line. The USC running back secured a whopping 784 first-place votes , to secure the Heisman Trophy.
But years later, following an investigation into recruiting practices at USC during that period of time, it was found that Bush had accepted “improper benefits” from the school. Sanctions were levied against USC and, as a result, Bush was forced to forfeit his Heisman Trophy in 2010.
This week, after years of fighting with the Heisman Trust, Bush is getting his Heisman Trophy back.
Here’s why Bush was forced to forfeit the trophy in the first place, and why he is finally getting it back after almost two decades.
Why were Bush and USC sanctioned?
Reggie Bush’s 2005 season was the stuff of legends, bringing to life the phrase “video game numbers.”
After two solid seasons on campus, Bush put up huge numbers his junior year. He rushed for 1,740 yards, averaging an astounding 8.7 yards per carry. He scored 19 touchdowns, 16 of those coming on the ground, and caught 37 passes for another 478 yards and two more scores. He led the nation in rushing yards per attempt and scrimmage yards, and could have put even more touchdowns on the board were it not for the presence of Lendale White, the bruising USC back who led the nation with 26 touchdowns.
Those numbers were a huge reason why USC rolled through their regular-season schedule, earning a berth in the BCS Championship Game against second-ranked Texas. The Longhorns — and second-place Heisman finisher Young — won in the closing seconds, in a game that is still talked about as one of the greatest college football games ever. For all the hype entering that game, it truly lived up to expectations.
However, shortly after that game reports broke regarding alleged recruiting violations at USC involving Bush. It was alleged that the running back received improper benefits while on campus from two different agents, including cash, travel expenses and a rent-free San Diego-area home.
Those allegations touched off a four-year investigation, and in 2010 the NCAA dropped the hammer on the school. Citing a lack of “ institutional control ” the NCAA put the entire USC athletic program on four years’ probation, took away a total of 30 football scholarships over three years, and vacated every victory in which Bush participated in from December 2004 through the 2005 season.
Bush was not the only USC student-athlete involved, nor was the USC football team the only athletic program cited in the NCAA’s decision. The USC basketball team was also cited for violations involving highly-touted player O.J. Mayo, as was the women’s tennis team. Both those teams had already self sanctioned themselves prior to the NCAA’s decision.
“Star treatment” of athletes such as Bush and Mayo was cited in the NCAA’s report.
“Elite athletes in high profile sports with obvious great future earnings potential may see themselves as something apart from other student-athletes and the general student population,” the NCAA report said . “Institutions need to assure that their treatment on campus does not feed into such a perception.”
Following the issuing of these sanctions, the NCAA vacated all of his records. Bush was basically scrubbed from existence at USC. Asterisks were attached to all of his school records, and in September of 2010, he relinquished his Heisman Trophy. In a lengthy statement Bush said in part :
“One of the greatest honors of my life was winning the Heisman Trophy in 2005,” the statement released by the New Orleans Saints read at the time. “For me, it was a dream come true. But I know that the Heisman is not mine alone. Far from it. I know that my victory was made possible by the discipline and hard work of my teammates, the steady guidance of my coaches, the inspiration of the fans, and the unconditional love of my family and friends. And I know that any young man fortunate enough to win the Heisman enters into a family of sorts. Each individual carries the legacy of the award and each one is entrusted with its good name. “It is for these reasons that I have made the difficult decision to forfeit my title as Heisman winner of 2005.”
However, the story did not end there.
Bush’s quest, and this week’s reinstatement
For years, Bush has maintained that he did nothing wrong. He went as far as to file suit against the NCAA last year, arguing that the organization defamed him with their “pay for pay” findings.
“The NCAA’s claim that Mr. Bush engaged in “pay–for–play” [the “Statement”] is reasonably and widely understood to mean that Mr. Bush received payment in return for playing football at the University of Southern California [“USC”],” the lawsuit claimed .
“There’s no factual evidence behind any of these claims,” Bush said at a press conference announcing the law suit.
That suit was spurred into action in part due to the changing collegiate landscape, which is the basis for the reinstatement of Bush’s Heisman Trophy. Back in 2021 the NCAA made the decision to allow college athletes to be compensated for their “name, image, and likeness.” However, despite the seismic shift in college sports, the NCAA made it clear that previous penalties — such as Bush’s — would not be revisited. “Previous penalties, including those that are several years old, will not be re-evaluated or reconsidered based on the recent changes to NIL rules,” read the statement .
That was not all the NCAA said at the time.
The governing body also noted that “pay-for-play type arrangements” were still prohibited, pointing to their findings involving USC and Bush.
That portion of the statement prompted the 2023 lawsuit. But the continued changing NIL landscape is what led to the decision this week. The Heisman Trust issued a statement on Wednesday reinstating Bush’s Heisman Trophy , noting the changing college landscape regarding NIL:
The Trust’s decision to reinstate the Trophy follows a deliberative process in which it closely monitored the enormous changes in the college football landscape, including the Supreme Court’s 2021 decision, which questioned the legality of the NCAA’s amateurism model and opened the door to student athlete compensation; the ability of college football players to be paid for their name, image, and likeness (NIL); and the NCAA’s recent proposal to remove the cap on education-related payments. Recognizing that the compensation of student athletes is an accepted practice and appears here to stay, these fundamental changes in college athletics led the Trust to decide that now is the right time to return the Trophy to Bush, who unquestionably was the most outstanding college football player of 2005.
“We are thrilled to welcome Reggie Bush back to the Heisman family in recognition of his collegiate accomplishments,” said Michael Comerford, President of The Heisman Trophy Trust. “We considered the enormous changes in college athletics over the last several years in deciding that now is the right time to reinstate the Trophy for Reggie. We are so happy to welcome him back.”
Bush welcomed the new s, calling it “a personal victory” and “a validation of the tireless efforts of my supporters.”
He also maintained the stance he has held for years, indicating that he had done nothing wrong.
“I have always acted with integrity and in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA,” Bush said. “The allegations brought against me were unfounded and unsupported by evidence, and I am grateful that the truth is finally prevailing.”

First refuelling for Russia’s Akademik Lomonosov floating NPP
!{Model.Description}
The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactor units. In such reactors, nuclear fuel is not replaced in the same way as in standard NPPs – partial replacement of fuel once every 12-18 months. Instead, once every few years the entire reactor core is replaced with and a full load of fresh fuel.
The KLT-40S reactor cores have a number of advantages compared with standard NPPs. For the first time, a cassette core was used, which made it possible to increase the fuel cycle to 3-3.5 years before refuelling, and also reduce by one and a half times the fuel component in the cost of the electricity produced. The operating experience of the FNPP provided the basis for the design of the new series of nuclear icebreaker reactors (series 22220). Currently, three such icebreakers have been launched.
The Akademik Lomonosov was connected to the power grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020.
Electricity generation from the FNPP at the end of 2023 amounted to 194 GWh. The population of Pevek is just over 4,000 people. However, the plant can potentially provide electricity to a city with a population of up to 100,000. The FNPP solved two problems. Firstly, it replaced the retiring capacities of the Bilibino Nuclear Power Plant, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya Thermal Power Plant, which is more than 70 years old. It also supplies power to the main mining enterprises located in western Chukotka. In September, a 490 km 110 kilovolt power transmission line was put into operation connecting Pevek and Bilibino.
