Events promoter Live Nation Philippines posted a video teaser on its social media pages on June 10, showing an aerial shot of Philippine Arena. Coldplay to perform for PH fans in 2024

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 12) – After seven years, British rock band Coldplay will be returning to the Philippines as part of the Asia leg of its "Music of the Spheres" concert tour.

Concert producer Live Nation Philippines confirmed in a Facebook post on Monday that the band's one-night show will be held on Jan. 19, 2024 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

Pre-selling of tickets will open on June 19, 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. at www.coldplay.com , while general on-sale tickets will be available on June 20, 12 p.m. Ticket prices and seat plan of the concert are yet to be announced.

"Be prepared to sing your favorite anthems from this amazing band who performs a crafted-to-perfection show, while championing sustainability," Live Nation Philippines added.

The award-winning band has made a commitment in 2022 to make its latest concert tour as sustainable and low-carbon as possible.

Since then, stage production of the band has been powered by kinetic dance floors that will generate energy to power the show through audience movement. Fans can also use electricity-generating bicycles that will be installed at each show to help charge the show batteries.

"We're very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis," the band wrote in its official Twitter account as they announced the onset of the tour. "We spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible."

The presale date for the shows in Bangkok and Singapore are as follows:

• Bangkok — 19 June 2023, Monday, 10 AM local time (which is 11 AM in PH time)
• Singapore — 19 June 2023, Monday, 10 AM local time (which is also 10 AM in PH time)

Coldplay is also performing in other Asia-Pacific countries, namely Taiwan, Indonesia, and Australia, but all shows are already sold out. Their two-day show in Tokyo, Japan will be on sale on 17 June 2023.

Members of the artist’s official fanclub and Live Nation Philippines will have an early chance to secure tickets during the pre-sale on June 19, 10 am, while the general sale starts on June 20, 12 pm. 

The one-night show is set for January 19, 2024. 

The upcoming January 2024 show would serve as the band’s first visit to the Philippines in almost seven years. They last performed in the country in April 2017 for their A Head Full of Dreams tour.

MANILA – Concert promoter Live Nation Philippines has released the ticket prices for the upcoming show of British rock band Coldplay in January 2024. 

On Friday, Live Nation Philippines announced that the presale of the tickets will begin on June 19 while the general sale is slated a day after, starting 12 p.m. at all SM Tickets outlets and website.

Coldplay is returning to the Philippines on January 19, 2024 for the “Music of the Spheres” world tour at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. 

Fans who are willing to shed money for the show can pay as much as P46,000 for one pass as Live Nation revealed limited tickets for “enhanced experiences.”

The Ultimate Spheres Experience pass holders will have a premium seated location in the arena, aside from a backstage tour and a stage access for photo opportunities.

They will also have a dedicated entrance to the venue, exclusive custom merch, a Coldplay gift item, and access to dedicated merch counters. 

Meanwhile, the next expensive ticket is the Supersolis Experience worth P30,000 each. Ticketholders will have a premium seated location in the arena, dedicated entrance to the venue, Coldplay gift item, and access to dedicated merch counters. 

The promoter also released guidelines for the ticket selling which includes a limit to six tickets per transaction.

Coldplay’s manager and creative director and best known as the fifth member of the British rock band, Phil Harvey, shares this amazing news to Coldplay Philippines account handler, Neil Enore, during opening night of Music of the Spheres World Tour in London last Friday, August 12, 2022.

Neil: I’m from Coldplay Philippines. Any message for the Filipino fans.

Phil Harvey: We are coming to Philippines sometime soon. It’s happening! It’s on!

The Music of the Spheres World Tour is the ongoing eighth concert tour currently being undertaken by Coldplay. The band announced the tour on October 14, 2021, in support of their ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres . The tour also marked a return to live performing since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coldplay held a historic show in Manila when they performed at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds as part of A Head Full of Dreams World Tour in 2017.
