2016 Dodge Journey SXT

Always friendly personnel-good service.

We arrived for our 9a.m. appointment a few minutes early for oil/filter change and tire/wheel rotation. Cora had our paperwork ready while Morgan organized the paperwork, Jeep key etc. Cory was there as well to welcome us as always even though everyone behind the counter was busy. They always make us feel welcome with their smiles, hand waves and friendliness. We entered the comfortable waiting area and visited with a few others who also had appointments. Hot drinks and chilled bottled water are available along with a snack if one so desires. After sitting a while I meandered through the showroom to visit with Jason and also Bill for a short time. Over the many years, dating back to the mid 1980's everyone involved has always been helpful and friendly. Today our vehicle was completed in less than an hour; service complete and our Jeep washed, ready to go. We enjoyed our visit especially with friendly Cora handing me the service record/sheet and keys to our Jeep. As for me it is a good time to visit with friends I know or those I just met that became new friends. Thanks!

Extra reliable & roomy.

I've owned the 2016 Dodge Journey SXT 3.6L V6 AWD SUV, since April 2017. Purchased with approximately 10k miles, this vehicle has been nothing but a pleasure to drive & own. I've had zero mechanical issues beyond regular maintenance (new tires, oil changes/scheduled manufacturer service, basic upkeep). I worked between Charlotte & NYC for more than 4 years, driving each way every 6-8 weeks and the car has had no problems at all. Super reliable with extra seating & massive cargo space. I now have 74k miles & still no major issues.

A few complaints

Purchased mines in 2021 brand new My daughter fell in love with it because she saw the 3rd row. She rode the 3rd row twice in 2 years. She said it’s too small and not comfortable. She loves the reclining back seats. I have found a few black pieces on the inside of the truck on the floor but don’t know where they detached from. The rear view camera is small and has worked my nerves. 98% of the time it’s upside down. Other than that I’ve enjoyed it

2018 dodge journey no start.

My vehicle has been pretty good up until two weeks ago , September 9, 2022. I experienced a no start situation with the vehicle towed to the dealership and the dealership has no idea what’s happening or watt they report bad battery no charge etc. I’m suspecting that the PCM has a bad chip due to a recall that was performed supposedly in 2018. I don’t believe my vehicle was recalled and have not received a recall notice from Chrysler Corp. so now I’ve got a dead vehicle in the shop the dealership has no concept of what’s happening and the service writer seems to be not knowledgeable enough to research the problem.

I have been going to Gainesville Honda for a loooooong time and I make a point to see the same person and that is David Linville. For nearly 20 years, I have gone to David and no matter how busy or crazy his day might be going, he keeps his cool and remains calm and helpful. He is really good at focusing on the client during their time with him. I must have taken my ’96 Civic to him a zillion times lol to keep that sucker running and he was helpful each and every time… up until when I decided to let it go {sniff sniff ☹}. Now, I bring the 2015 which I don’t love as much as my ’96 but I still get good service! I appreciate the mechanics and everyone in the Service Department and shout out to Gene; he always makes me laugh.

Little Flaws

Love my Journey but have notice several with a missing antenna and also several with foggy headlights. Like moisture buildup inside the headlight assemblies. Bluetooth doesn't always hook up. Not the easiest on gas.

Solid, economical, reliable transportation

Bought new in October 2017. 85,000+ miles. Needs new set of tires (previous set went 40,000+ miles) and a new battery (original battery dying after 69 months). Otherwise just (full synthetic) oil changes and routine maintenance. 2.4L 4-cyl. engine/4-sp. automatic trans. runs strong. 21 MPG in town, 30 MPG on the highway. Good winter traction with the right tires. Nothing inside or outside has fallen off that wasn't helped off by road debris. I wanted basic transportation without all the bling - this vehicle has more than filled the bill.

I've had my 2015 Dodge Journey AVP for 4 and a half years now and I've Never had any mechanical issues what so ever. Just normal wear and tear, like tires, an alignment, wiper blades and oil changes is all I've had to do. I gets pretty good gas mileage and handles snow like a champ, being front wheel drive. I'd recommend this vehicle to anyone wanting a good reliable SUV. It's not like my Denali that I lost in a rear-ended crash, but it's a solid vehicle!!!

I had a charging issue and went in this morning and Tylor was extremely helpful and supportive helping me sort out the issue. My sales person Jacob was not at the dealership, but he has also been extremely helpful.

Out performed my expectations!

This SUV meets all my needs. It has spacious third row seating, plenty of cargo storage compartments, several 12v plug ins, USB & aux ports. It rides smooth and the upright seating proves comfortable on long journeys! Its powertrain rates sluggish, but I beg to differ, it performs just as a V6 should.

Love my 2014 Journey Limited

I brought my 2014 Dodge Journey limited 2 years ago, absolutely love it. I take it in for regular maintenance and everything runs great. It is speedy and feels like you are floating down the interstate. Love the 2 row seating, the back row that folds down and the HUGE trunk area. There is also soo much storage in this thing. Only issues I have had with it is my rear tow just went out and I have a small exhaust leak. But I will not trade this thing in until she dies. This is the best car I have owned. Heated steering wheel and seats, outlets in back, power seats, rearview backup camera and the sunroof are all awesome. For the price you pay you really get more than what you think. Put new tires, rims, brakes and rotors and now it looks even better. So happy with it

You know the saying "when it rains it pours.".

I had two separate major mechanical issues that hit me within two weeks. My first encounter required some clarity on a previous fix. I was initially concerned and upset that I was returning my car for something incorrectly fixed. I asked my technician, Wendy, to speak with a supervisor immediately. Matt reviewed the documented details but first reassured me that as a valued customer, he would work with me, not worry, and do his best to make things right. Wendy did her due diligence to quarterback the play by communicating and ensuring proper updates. Fast forward to Labor Day weekend, Saturday afternoon! My car breaks down while driving. I had to tow my car back to the dealership. Nonetheless, Wendy was right on it and contacted me immediately to let me know my car was a priority! Once a diagnostic was provided and approval to move forward with the fix unrelated to my first encounter. Wendy sent a good morning text at 8:30 to let me know my car was ready for pickup! In addition, I was provided with alternatives to finance the repair through a program, Sunbit, to help offset any cost I didn't plan to spend. To my point and this lengthy review, I wanted to be clear and add context to my experience. It feels good to be treated like a "valued customer." So often, big companies take customer service for granted. Thank you, Wendy and Matt, for your attention and help getting me back on the road. Very much appreciated!

Aaron Miller, salesman, kept his word when I wasn't “determined” to buy a car. He handled my Mom’s new lease and I mentioned I would love to buy a used car but was on a very limited income. He asked how much I could pay each month and that he would keep an eye out and be in contact. It wasn’t but a few days later he called and told me about a 2008 Ford Edge Limited with 105,000 miles and in my range. He helped me with purchasing this vehicle. I am very happy! I really wasn't expecting him to call based on my personal limits!! DAVID, the finance person, was so kind and handled all the paperwork with great detail. He made the process so easy! I highly recommend these two individuals at Expressway Mt. Vernon, IN!!!

Not what I wanted, but pleasantly surprised

Its a great vehicle for smaller families. I have 4 children under 10 and can fit everybody in ALMOST comfortably. The 3rd row seating leg room is very tight. Other than that, it's great. Not the fastest vehicle. But its not slow and has enough grunt to pass anybody in a timely manner. Seats are supportive with mild bolstering in the front. The audio system is good enough that im not constantly thinking about upgrading it. In fact the stock speakers have very clear definition at higher levels which kind of blew my mind a bit. All in all its been a very reliable car.

Got an oil change for a vehicle I purchased from there in 2021. Mr. Cansler was very polite and helpful in the service department. I also test drove a vehicle while I waited and had a very pleasant experience with Mr. Kregg.

Great car for hauling grandkids around in.

3 row seats is a plus. Extra room for gear and groceries next to the used 3rd row seat is cool. Air conditioning is super. No problems with mechanical or electrical yet. Ride comfort is real good. Getting over 20mpg in city. Hope to keep this car for many years.

Ofrece mejores acabados, mejor manejo y más espacio interior, aunque adolece del mismo mal: un motor justo en potencia y un nivel de seguridad muy básico. Peugeot Partner Tepee Outdoor - $336,900

El Partner Tepee Outdoor es uno de los vehículos de siete plazas más accesibles de México, y también uno de los más desconocidos. Nissan X-Trail - $424,600

Desde la versión Sense del Nissan X-Trail puede solicitarse una tercera fila de asientos de manera opcional. De todos los modelos enlistados hasta el momento, es el primero que en realidad sí cumple con estándares internacionales de seguridad, aunque su etiqueta por encima de 400,000 pesos lo vuelve menos accesible. Su tercera fila ofrece poco espacio para piernas, pero saca del apuro.

KIA Sorento - $446,900

Como buen coreano, el KIA Sorento apuesta por el precio. La versión más accesible ya cuenta con siete plazas de relativamente buen espacio. Utiliza un motor de cuatro cilindros de 185 hp; las versiones más equipadas recurren a un V6 de 3.3 litros de 290 hp y 252 lb-pie con una nueva transmisión automática de ocho velocidades.

Volkswagen Tiguan - $469,900

A diferencia del Tiguan europeo, que es más corto, el modelo disponible en América mide 4.7 metros de largo y fue desarrollado para contar con una tercera fila de asientos. En México , la única versión que la ofrece de manera opcional —sin costo— es la intermedia, llamada Comfortline. Utiliza el tradicional motor TSI de 1.4 litros de 150 hp.

Mitsubishi Outlander - $487,900

Sobre la misma línea de Volkswagen Tiguan y Nissan X-Trail, el Mitsubishi Outlander ofrece tres filas de asientos a partir de su tercera versión, llamada SE Plus. Al igual que el resto de sus versiones, recurre a un motor de cuatro cilindros de 2.4 litros, capaz de generar 165 hp y 164 lb-pie. Va empatado con una transmisión automática CVT.

Dodge Grand Caravan - $511,900

La miniván más barata del mercado sí ofrece tres filas de asientos útiles, gran espacio interior y múltiples soluciones de versatilidad. Todas sus versiones incluyen un motor V6 de 3.5 litros de la familia Pentastar, capaz de desarrollar 283 hp y 260 lb-pie. Desde la versión intermedia se incluye equipamiento interesante para el segmento, como reproductor de DVD para los asientos traseros.

Toyota Sienna - $531,600

La miniván más vendida de México se actualizó recientemente. Por su tamaño y diseño, ofrece tres filas de asientos realmente útiles y conserva buen volumen de cajuela, por lo que resulta ideal para viajes largos en familia. Algunas de sus versiones pueden transportar a siete pasajeros, mientras que otras tienen lugar hasta para ocho.

JAC Sei 7 Limited - $534,000

Los chinos de JAC trajeron a nuestro país un SUV con tres filas de asientos —sólo en su versión Limited— con muy buen nivel de equipamiento e incluso un motor turbo de 190 hp y 207 lb-pie, asociado a una transmisión automática de doble embrague. Incluye cámara de visión de 360º, asistente de mantenimiento en el carril y freno autónomo de emergencia.

KIA Sedona - $552,900

La miniván de la firma coreana llegó a nuestro país apenas este año con una ligera actualización. Es cómoda, ofrece lugar para siete pasajeros y el motor le queda bien para su propósito familiar. Su verdadero fuerte es la relación valor/precio.

Toyota Highlander - $573,000

Para los que no gusten del estilo de una miniván, el segmento de los D-SUV ofrece opciones interesantes, que combinan un diseño más llamativo y mejores cualidades de conducción, con la versatilidad que proporcionan tres filas de asientos. El Highlander no es tan espacioso como una Sienna, aunque acomoda a siete pasajeros.

Peugeot 5008 - $574,900

Es uno de los vehículos de siete plazas con más sabor europeo que hay actualmente a la venta en México. Por sus dimensiones, la tercera fila es algo apretada; en su favor, el manejo deja buen sabor de boca, los acabados están por encima de su categoría y el nivel de equipamiento es sumamente elevado. Hay versiones con motor a gasolina o a diesel.

BMW Serie 2 Gran Tourer - $579,900

Otra de las propuestas europeas de esta categoría es el BMW Serie 2 Gran Tourer . Es uno de los modelos más desconocidos dentro de la gama de la firma alemana, sin embargo, reúne cualidades interesantes, como una cabina versátil, acabados al nivel de una marca premium, buen rendimiento de combustible y gran manejo. Lleva un motor turbo de 190 hp y tracción delantera.

Hyundai Santa Fe - $579,900

Su nueva generación ya fue presentada, pero sólo en formato para cinco pasajeros. Mientras llega el nuevo modelo con tres filas de asientos, el Santa Fe de siete plazas mantiene un precio atractivo para un SUV cómodo y bien equipado, aunque ya con cierto sabor a antigüedad. Utiliza un motor V6 de 3.3 litros de 290 hp.

Nissan Pathfinder - $588,700

Sobre la misma línea de los D-SUV, el Nissan Pathfinder ofrece confiabilidad mecánica, buen espacio interior y un alto nivel de comodidad, aunque el rendimiento de combustible y la conducción precisa no sean uno de sus principales atributos. Quizá lo más interesante es su gama de versiones, con niveles de equipamiento para distintos —y variados— presupuestos.

Mazda CX-9 - $619,900

Es uno de los mejores SUV de su categoría. Ofrece un espacio interior correcto, acabados de primer nivel y un manejo muy interesante para un vehículo de su tamaño. El motor turbo de 2.5 litros lo vuelve relativamente ágil y, sin ser precisamente económico, es de los que menos combustible gasta. Quizá el único pero es el nivel de equipamiento en algunas versiones.

Volkswagen Teramont - $669,900

El Teramont es la más reciente apuesta de Volkswagen en el segmento SUV. No está a la venta en Europa porque su mercado objetivo es Estados Unidos. Su espacio interior es su principal atributo, aunque en las versiones más equipadas también sobresale el nivel de seguridad. Hay dos opciones mecánicas, un motor turbo de 2.0 litros y un V6 de 3.6 litros.

Ford Explorer - $705,100

El Explorer es uno de los SUV de tres filas de asientos con más experiencia en el mercado. A lo largo de sus distintas generaciones ha evolucionado en un producto cómodo, seguro, espacioso y muy tecnológico. Su gama de precios comienza por encima de la media de su categoría, aunque lo compensa con un buen nivel de equipamiento.

Honda Pilot - $739,900

Se trata de otro SUV con muchos años de experiencia en su categoría. Ofrece un muy buen espacio interior y, además, múltiples soluciones de versatilidad propias de Honda . Los acabados son buenos, el manejo es bastante confortable y el nivel de equipamiento es completo para toda la familia. Recientemente recibió una ligera actualización.

Honda Odyssey - $764,900

Para quienes entienden que no hay mejor vehículo con tres filas de asientos que las minivanes, la Odyssey supone una opción sumamente interesante frente a Honda Pilot. Goza de un buen nivel de equipamiento, una cabina preparada para toda la familia, muchísimo espacio interior y una marcha sumamente cómoda. Puede transportar hasta a ocho pasajeros.

Chrysler Pacifica - $799,900

Chrysler goza de una amplia experiencia fabricando minivanes. La Pacifica se estrenó como una propuesta premium —por equipamiento y precio— dentro del poco concurrido segmento de las minivanes, aunque recientemente se lanzó al mercado con una versión más accesible, en torno a 800,000 pesos.

Chevrolet Traverse - $841,400

La nueva generación de Traverse llega con muy buen nivel de equipamiento, tanto en términos de confort, como de tecnología. Su generación anterior gozó de un buen volumen de ventas en México, sin embargo, el nuevo modelo incrementó de manera importante su precio, quedando fuera del alcance de muchos y dejando vía libre a sus competidores en versiones más accesibles.

GMC Acadia - $858,700

Es, en esencia, un Traverse, aunque bajo el concepto de diseño y equipamiento de GMC . Ofrece una conducción cómoda, un alto nivel de tecnología de conectividad y seguridad, y un motor V6 de 310 hp. Su único "detalle" es que al ser un vehículo orientado al lujo, limita el número de asientos en la cabina. Su configuracion 2+2+2 deja espacio sólo para seis pasajeros.

Buick Enclave - $869,900

Sobre el mismo rango de precios, la versión Buick de Acadia y Traverse llega al mercado para colocarse como la más lujosa de las tres, tanto por acabados, como por nivel de equipamiento. En este caso, sus tres filas de asientos sí tienen lugar para siete pasajeros y, además, recibe un tratamiento de insonorización que merece mención honorífica.

Infiniti QX60 - $884,900

Es un Nissan Pathfinder y no busca disimularlo. El diseño interior, la configuración mecánica e incluso algunas líneas de su diseño recuardan a su mellizo de Nissan. En este caso hay una dosis extra de lujo y también la disponibilidad de una variante híbrida , cuyo precio es de 1,144,900 pesos.

Acura MDX - $929,900

La división de lujo de Honda también presenta un vehículo de siete plazas, que comparte plataforma y distintos componentes con Pilot, aunque bajo una interpretación más lujosa. Destaca por su elevado nivel de asistencias de conducción, su seguridad y la opción de una variante de apariencia deportiva llamada A-Spec.

Dodge Durango - $937,500

Dodge lo clasifica como un muscle-car antes que un SUV. Sus tres filas de asientos pueden acomodar hasta a siete pasajeros. Lo más interesante de este vehículo es su diseño imponente y su configuración mecánica, que recurre a un poderoso motor V8 de 5.7 litros, capaz de generar 360 hp y 390 lb-pie. Envía la tracción a las ruedas traseras gracias a una transmisión automática de ocho velocidades.

Chevrolet Tahoe - $974,400

Se trata de uno de los SUV más yanquis que hay a la venta en México. Todas las versiones llevan un motor V8 de 5.3 litros de 355 hp y 383 lb-pie. Utiliza una transmisión automática de seis velocidades y en algunas versiones puede solicitarse tracción integral.

Toyota Sequoia - $990,200

Justo antes de cruzar la barrera del millón de pesos, Toyota ofrece un colosal SUV que destaca por su imponente diseño, el amplio espacio interior y la buena relación valor/precio. Es la versión extendida del Tahoe y también uno de los modelos de auto con más trayectoria en la industria automotriz. Sobre la misma línea de Suburban y Sequoia, el Nissan Armada se coloca como un SUV de generosas dimensiones, muy buen nivel de equipamiento y un diseño imponente. Estrenó generación recientemente y se convirtió en uno de los mejores SUV de tamaño completo gracias a su completo nivel de tecnología, propio de un vehículo de primera clase, y su configuración mecánica. Renuncia a su motor V8 para quedarse con un V6 EcoBoost de 375 o 400 hp, según versión.

Audi Q7 - $1,169,900

El más grande de la familia Q combina lujo, espacio y prestaciones con la calidad propia de Audi. La mayoría de las versiones disponibles en México llevan un motor V6 TFSI de 3.0 litros de 333 hp; el tope de gama lo reemplaza por un motor diesel de la familia TDI, de 249 hp. Todos llevan tracción integral quattro y transmisión Tiptronic.

Land Rover Discovery - $1,192,800

Los ingleses también interpretan a su modo los vehículos de tres filas de asientos. El Discovery es particularmente interesante, no sólo por sus cualidades tecnológicas y de lujo, sino por sus capacidades todoterreno.

GMC Yukon - $1,344,000

El Tahoe de GMC llega todavía más cargado de lujo, con mejor insonorización y capacidad para siete pasajeros. Cuenta con un motor V8 de 6.2 litros de 420 hp y 460 lb-pie, transmisión automática de 10 velocidades y capacidad todoterreno. De hecho, incluye caja reductora, bloqueo de diferencial y suspensión magnética.

Infiniti QX80 - $1,479,900

El máximo exponente de lujo en Infiniti es el QX80 . Fue creado a partir del Nissan Armada y recibe un diseño más acorde con un cliente premium, mejores acabados, una cabina mejor insonorizada y un nivel de equipamiento digno de quien pueda permitirse pagar casi 1.5 millones de pesos por él.

Toyota Land Crusier - $1,598,900

Si creías que el Sequoia era el SUV más grande de Toyota, estabas equivocado. El titán de la firma japonesa lleva un motor V8 de 381 hp para cargar con un peso de 2,600 kg. Cuenta con tracción integral, preparaciones todoterreno y lugar para ocho pasajeros.

Cadillac Escalade - $1,656,400

El emblemático y colosal SUV de la marca de lujo de General Motors combina un diseño tan elegante como imponente, una marcha confortable, un altísimo nivel de equipamiento y la opción a una carrocería extendida para no escatimar en espacio interior en sus tres filas de asientos ni volumen de carga.

Lincoln Navigator - $1,727,000

Es la respuesta de Ford al Escalade. La variante deportiva, firmada por AMG, cuesta 2.3 millones de pesos, cuenta con 585 hp y acelera de 0 a 100 km/h en sólo 4.6 segundos.

Tesla Model X - $1,884,300

Se trata de uno de los SUV más interesantes del mercado, no sólo por su naturaleza eléctrica, sino por toda su carga tecnológica, entre la que destaca el sistema Autopilot de conducción autónoma. El grado de personalización es muy elevado: hay tres niveles de poder, muchos acabados a elegir para la pintura, rines e interiores. En su versión más potente, P100D, alcanza los 100 km/h en 3.1 segundos.

Land Rover Range Rover - $2,158,700

Con un precio por encima de dos millones de pesos, no encontrarás un vehículo con tres filas de asientos más caro —en su modelo base— que el Range Rover. Entre propulsores sumamente potentes, un elevado grado de refinamiento, mucha tecnología y equipamiento, el versátil ejemplar de la filial de Jaguar se convierte en el máximo exponente de los vehículos de siete plazas. ¿Quién iba a decir que los ingleses tendrían el ejemplar más costoso?

Hi I have just booked some tickets from Moscow to St Petersburg using the Russian Train website and thought I would pass on some of my experience. I have travelled a lot, and looking at the booking thought it couldnt be that hard. After trying for several days I was getting very frustrated, but have been successful today - so would share what I had found.

I had to register so that I had an account, this is essentially just providing your email address - so I recommend doing this first.

I then found it quite straight forward to find the train I wanted, the seats I wanted, and I could fill in all the booking information for the four travelers, and pick the seats, when I then 'continued' to next screen it told me to wait and there was a little circle going round. Well one time I waited 5 hours and still nothing happened. I tried making sure I had pop ups available, I tried from another computer, I tried different browsers, I tried different days - no joy, and was almost resigned to paying an extra £55 ( $66 ) per ticket by booking it through third party.

Today I tried for the 'last' time, and on the first page there is a sentence that says "DEAR PASSENGERS! STARTING FROM APRIL 14 YOU ARE REDIRECTED TO THE NEW ONLINE TICKET PURCHASE. IF YOU PREFER THE FORMER VERSION, PLEASE CLICK HERE"

I tried that, logged in , and lo and behold all worked like a dream.

My payment with a UK credit card went through fine, and it said I was successful, and to print the page - which I did. However there was no order number or boarding coupon - which I found odd.

I tried reviewing my orders, and it couldnt find anything - I was then panicking a little.

However I went for lunch, did a bit of work and logged in a couple of hours later. My order was then there, with clear order number, bar codes and boarding coupons which I have printed.

So my recommendation is persevere with the Russian railway website, this saved us over £220 between the four of us, which should be a good night out in Moscow ! Have a little patience with the system when waiting for your order form and tickets.

I have posted this to hopefully help other travelers panic a bit less when trying.

I am now really looking forward to my holiday in Moscow and St Petersburg, especially as I now have the train ticket to get between the two !

Go for it! I find while at times it seems like discounts for seniors are "intended" for natives, I am often offered such discount without even asking..the bad news of course is that means I look old...hard to dispute that! Given automated nature, if it lets you "choose" this after inputting all data - including and especially passport, then you should be good to go!

I don't see why not? It's age restriction not nationality.

I saw Chinese tourist showing the passport as document to prove her age, and she did got her ticket. We were on the same train to Vladimir.

It may even apply the discount automatically without you having to do anything - simply based on your Birthday/age. It did the same for us because one of the passengers qualified for a Youth fare. This seems to be not limited to citizens of Russia.

I do seem to recall someone noted this re; youth fare...last time I got a train ticket (some 5 years ago), I had not reached the magic age..I now have
