In 2010, Brooklyn, New York rappers Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick "Arc" Elliott came together to form a group that came to be known as Flatbush Zombies. They are one of the most prominent artists in the Beast Coast movement of experimental hip-hop, spearheaded by Joey Bada$$.

Coming out of Flatbush, Brooklyn, the trio formed in 2010 but didn’t release anything or perform live until two years later in 2012. Their debut show was at Brooklyn’s Southpaw venue but their star didn’t begin to rise until the release of their “Thug Waffle” video in the same year.

At one point two million views and counting, it perfectly sets the character of the group as undead rappers with an unquenchable hunger for waffles rather than brains. With it, they were able to release their first mixtape “D.R.U.G.S” (an acronym for “Death and Reincarnation Under God's Supervision”) to an already brewing cult following.

2013 saw the group come into their own spectacularly. The release of their second mixtape “BetteroffDEAD”, saw them working with Danny Brown and Action Bronson, and other points in the year saw them working with the RZA, ASAP Rocky and Juicy J. “BetteroffDEAD” ended the year ranked at number 17 on XXL Magazines mixtapes of the year, which made their name even bigger.

“Clockwork Indigo”, the trios first E.P, was released the following year as a collaboration with fellow Flatbush rap duo The Underachievers. Flatbush Zombies are one of the most exciting rap groups around and they aren’t even close to the top of their game. We’re all going to see some legendary things come from them, so we’d all do well to watch them like hawks.

Live reviews

The most amazing show I've ever been to. Amazing graphics and lights. Insane talent. Live vocals. Props including a coffin for each member that they each emerged from as their individual verses started for their opening song. At the end the three returned to their separate coffins. Two great openers Nyck Caution and Kirk Knight. Super energetic and deeply compassionate Kirk stopped his performance at one part to make sure a fan was ok that had fallen in the crowd and reminded everyone we were here to have fun but safety first. This leadership and selflessness is the standard I've come to expect from the entire Beast Coast Family. Kirk clearly demonstrated that the safety of his fans was more important than his set. What a stand up guy. Thats the good knight for you. Erick Arc Elliot made a short speech about mental illness and spoke to the crowd about how recently before this he was in the same spot as a lot of us, unsure how to make his dreams come to fruition. He encouraged us that we could all do anything we set our mind to and visualized. Zombie Juice took a moment to tell the crowd how he defeats his demons, and told the crowd to try his method out themselves. He had the entire crowd yell 'I love myself' 3 times. Meechy Darko jumps in the crowd EVERY SINGLE SHOW and interacts with the mosh pit walking through hi fiving fans then asking (somewhat) nicely for them to move the fuck out of his way so he can get back on stage and continues rapping the entire time. A lot of their tours offer a meet and greet option which always include seriously bomb limited edition merch. They also always have limited edition merch at their merch table some of which is pre signed by them. Every aspect is thought out to give the fans an amazing experience and the vibe is always family. You can always spot FBZ with their same crew and they are all some super chill down to earth motha fuckers. Best four shows of my life

The Flatbush Zombie concert was incredible.

The venue (Best Buy Theater) was packed with fans, most of them rowdy teenage boys. The show was opened by a surprise guest from the A$AP mob at 8pm. The Underachievers then took place, quickly warming up the crowd. When the Flatbush Zombies eventually came, the whole crowd exploded. Throughout the show, moshpits had been formed and were raging on.

The venue was big enough to allow more tranquil spectators to still enjoy the show. At some point, star rapper Meechy Darko jumped into the crowd. The fans (me included) went wild. Following this, he was brought backstage by security. The Underachievers came back to keep the crowd busy, but the Flatbush Zombies quickly resumed. A group of girls were invited onstage to dance for a new "slowjam" song.

After playing crowdpleaser after another (Bliss, Thugwaffle, etc), the crew from all performers were brought onstage for one last song.

The show lasted approx. 4 hours, from 8 to 12 pm. Everyone left more than satisfied.

A hip hop act formed in 2010, Flatbush Zombies are greatly appreciated in their field of work. Adrenaline filled shows, flowing with high paced hooks, bumping and jumping beats, this band have gone on a detour of live hip hop performing.

Their arrival came as part of the East Cost hip hop movement known as 'Beast Coast.' Their music defined does sound very urban, city based. They rap about the struggles of the city life, the back streets and alleyways where lyrical wizardry breaks free. They released an a mix tape 'D.R.U.G.S' which although doesn't stand for what is written, the proactive intention is there for all to see.

This music gets people moving. Most importantly it gets people talking, spreading the word. Their latest album is currently touring in America, connecting to a wide audience relating to the struggles of urban city life.

The concert was hyped af at rebel , it was at a nightclub kinda thing and everyone was just hyped.

Flatbush was jumping outta coffins and meechy walked onto the ground. Kirk Knight and Nyck Caution was dope . Palm trees was the encore song.

They played a lot of songs like Bounce , bath salts , this is it , trapped , vacation , trade off , m. Bison , hell-o, chunky, the glory, big shrimp and maybe a few more. Before the show they even played other songs that’s the crowd still sang to that wasn’t made from flatbush like, plain Jane , dark knight demo, work and even a song from Panic at the disco. It was just dope haha, ZOMBiES GANG//vih

10 a fucking 10!!!! One of the best hip-hop/rap shows I've ever seen. The energy was everywhere and A$AP Twelvy and A$AP Ant opened the show letting everyone know "This is their last year being broke" and began to churn the pot that is Warehouse Live. Once they got the crowd all stirred up Flatbush emerged and played a fantastic set. The show lasted about 2 1/2 hrs. but was nonstop. Plenty of Mary Jane was sparked and Liquor sipped and spilt, but after all the fun remember. OPEN YOUR FUCKING MIND, Peace and Love Izzy, Out!

It was my first Flatbush concert, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The atmosphere was amazing; there was a moshpit, people were smoking up (obviously). At one point, someone passed a joint down from the balcony to the stage by dropping it and it was thrown back up.

Plus, there were multiple occasions of crowd surfing. Felt like everyone was more or less losing their minds (in a good way).

Would go again any day and feel like I appreciate their music even more, now that I've seen how great they are live!

Phenomenal concert.

I loved that they played u&i and the glory.

I was with my friends who also love it and we were tearing up haha. Super amazing, they sounded great and looked great. Best concert I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot. The Ritz was not good at all though. They are too strict and kicked my friend out with a dead phone and no where to go and she cried all night. Bad night for her and if it wasn’t at the Ritz it would’ve been an even better time.

It was lit during flatbush performance

and A$AP Twelvy performance as well. But the waiting was tough since Flatbush didn't come out till 9:00 PM and it was really hot in the Roseland. Also people kept pushing each other so much to the point where people were falling to the ground.

But it was all worth it to see the zombies performance because it was so fucking dope!!!!!

Just perfect, those guys are awesome. I guess it's in the top 3 best concerts I have ever seen. (I go between 60 to 100 concerts a year).

The really adapted their album to the the scene. And the never sang on a prerecorded soundtrack.

Special bravo to A$AP Twelvyy who was also awesome.

Thank you guys, hope you'll come back soon to Paris

Zombies were AMAZING in Seattle. I got to see Meech before the doors opened and got his signature!!Perks of waiting in line hours before the doors opened. FBZ played oldies like "222" and of course "Palm Trees". Listening to their new album live made me love the album even more. This trio is iconic.

THE THEME: ACTION

Ac·tion ● /ˈaksh(ə)n/, the process of doing something, especially when dealing with a problem.

Here's the problem. We want to travel more. But we don't want to pay for it!

The FBZ Elite Summit will be focused on Action and how to travel more for less.

Our incredible lineup of speakers have unique, personal stories of how they took action to make their travel dreams happen and forever change the course of their lives.

Some had a special travel experience that made them want to travel more. Others stumbled into the points and miles space when trying to book a flight for less money.

The goal of the Summit is help you take concrete action to make your travel dreams a reality. Learn how to do it from speakers who have:

  • Booked 37 hotel nights in one year, paying only resort fees
  • Flown a family of four first class to/from Shanghai for thirteen nights in 4-star hotels
  • Booked a family of three for two weeks in hotels in Japan including a Japan Rail Pass for no out of pocket costs
  • Flown a couple to Ireland, Germany, and Czech Republic for a two week stay in hotels, plus activities, all for no cost
  • Rented a BMW in Europe for a week for only $322 with no additional cost for insurance
  • Flown to the Maldives and Bora Bora using points, paying only taxes and fees

Our speakers are top experts in the industry and you will not find their secrets shared online with the general public. You do not want to miss what we have in store!

Join our expert speakers for this intimate weekend experience. A Full Access Pass is only a $299 investment in yourself!

Capacity is limited. Last year's event sold out quickly and we can only accommodate a set amount of people at the venue.

All Full Access Pass tickets include entry to the FBZ Elite Summit and the Happy Hour, plus an invitation to our private attendee Facebook group.

Happy Hour Only tickets are also available free of charge to a limited number of people. These tickets must be purchased in order to attend.

Don't delay! You won't want to miss out on this epic travel experience .

All ticket sales times are in Central Daylight Time (CDT), Austin local time.

Who is it for?

Anyone who is interested is traveling more but spending less. This includes whether you are the type of person who likes the most bang for your buck traveling frugally ("the more free flights the better!") or the type who likes a little more luxury ("I'm saving up for that four star hotel!"). Or maybe you're a bit of both!

From travel newbies and beginners to award travel experts, we guarantee you will walk away with money-saving tips and action steps to help you achieve your travel dreams. The best part is that this intimate event allows you ask questions freely in a judgment-free zone!

Prior to the event we will gather feedback from confirmed ticketholders about their travel goals and what they hope to take out of the event, so we can tailor the discussions, panels, and agenda accordingly.

FBZ Elite - Travel & Points is inclusive, diverse, and super friendly. If that sounds like you, we want you there!

Is it really dog-friendly?

Yes, we love puppies! Bring yours as long as they are well behaved.

What are the age requirements?

18+. We'll be serving drinks at Happy Hour for 21+. Bring your ID.

Where should I stay?

Click "Where To Stay" from the navigation bar of this page, or click here .

What should I bring?

Your ID and ticket. You can print your ticket or show the email confirmation at the door.

Austin in October is pleasant with low/high of 60°F/80°F so dress accordingly. The event space is air conditioned and there is the spacious backyard.

We suggest bringing your phone, laptop, or a notepad to take notes if desired. There will be outlets for charging but remember to bring your charger!

You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks though any alcohol must be served by the on-site bartender.

What's the dress code?

The dress code is casual. Wear your FBZ swag or something comfortable! There is minimal walking involved so sneakers, sandals, or boots are fine. We will be taking photos and videos.

There is a beautiful grassy backyard at the venue. We'd recommend avoiding stiletto heels especially for Happy Hour.

Should I come alone?

Yes! You should come whether it's just you or multiple people in your group. We understand the decision to come alone may be a scary one, but we promise you will be so warmly welcomed you'll forget you ever hesitated!

Our group is super friendly and we've had plenty of soloists attend our first event who had a great time. We are non-judgmental, inclusive, and open. Plus the FinanceBuzz Team will make it fun and easy for you to introduce yourself and quickly connect with others. This will not your stereotypical networking event!

I'm not looking to travel in the next year. Should I come to the FBZ Elite Summit?

Of course! Everyone has phases where they don't travel for one reason or another. But what you'll learn here you'll be able to utilize for the rest of your life. The minor details may change but the overall strategies and tips you'll learn are tried and true.

What's the address?

Vuka Collective's Monroe Venue is 1.7 miles from downtown.

411 W. Monroe St. Austin, TX 78704 See it on Google Maps

Parking is very limited so we'd recommend using a rideshare like Lyft, Uber, or RideAustin, or take a scooter.

Are there sponsorship opportunities?

Yes we have a variety of compelling packages for sponsors. The FBZ Elite Summit is the perfect setting for your brand activation. Email us at [email protected] .

Can I arrive late or leave early?

Can i give fbz elite summit as a gift.

Yes and that is an awesome idea for your travel-inspired friend or loved one. Simply purchase the ticket in their name.

What's the cancellation policy?

For any General Admission ticket: Your ticket is non-refundable. If you cannot attend for any reason, email [email protected] by Wednesday, October 23, 2019 11:55 CDT to request a one-year ticket Courtesy Hold and we will followup with you. A Courtesy Hold means you can use the value of your purchased ticket towards a future ELITE Experience by FinanceBuzz event in the next 365 days. Once a Courtesy Hold is placed, your ticket to the FBZ Elite Summit Austin 2019 is considered canceled.

Tickets can be transferred to another person up until one month before the event. If you would like to transfer the ownership of your ticket to another person, you can do so from your Universe account. Tickets can only be transferred individually. Once a ticket has been transferred, the action cannot be undone within your Universe account and additional change requests must be made by emailing [email protected]

For a Happy Hour Only ticket: You may cancel your ticket at any time within your Universe account. If you cannot attend, please cancel as soon as possible, and at the latest Wednesday, October 23, 2019 11:55 CDT.

This event has limited capacity and if you cannot attend, your canceled ticket will allow a member on the Waitlist to come!

No-shows will not be invited to future complimentary ELITE Experiences by FinanceBuzz.

Any tips for getting the money together to attend?

The FBZ Elite Summit is an investment. You are paying now to save money later and we are confident you will! We make sure you get way more value out of attending that outweighs the cost of the ticket.

I don't want to pay the cost of the ticket. Can I come for free?

The FBZ Elite Summit is free for FinanceBuzz moderators and event speakers and panelists. Everyone else must purchase a ticket. The Summit is a costly endeavor and as you'll see, the FinanceBuzz Team is still small!

You are welcome to come to the complimentary Happy Hour at 5pm as long as you purchased a Happy Hour Only ticket. The goal of this free Happy Hour is to ensure we are including as many members as possible even if they cannot attend the FBZ Elite Summit due to cost.

I'm coming and would be happy to help! Can I get involved?

We appreciate the offer! Email us at a [email protected] and we will follow up with you accordingly.

I have more questions. Who can I contact?

Email us at [email protected] and the event organizer will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please avoid asking questions about the FBZ Elite Summit in FBZ Elite - Travel & Points . Doing so allows the group to remain valuable for all members and focused on award travel. We greatly appreciate your understanding.
