Istanbul Tourism Fair brings the tourism industry together in all its colours

The Istanbul Tourism Fair under the motto “Bringing together the tourism sector in all its colours”, will open its doors for the second time on 9-10 October 2024 at Yenikapı- Eurasia Exhibition and Art Center.

It will continue to provide a broad platform for the launch of new products and services, while bringing together tourism professionals from Turkey and around the world to facilitate new collaborations.

The Tourism Summit, which will be held as part of the fair, will present new trends and visions and offer new horizons to industry professionals, while the ITF Gala Party will provide an enjoyable evening for participants.

With the launch of early booking campaigns during the fair and within hotel agency contracts, the fair will serve as a meeting point for all stakeholders.

YENIKAPI-EURASIA PERFORMANCE AND ART CENTRE

With the increasing demand for the fair, Yenikapı-Eurasia Show and Art Center, which has an area of 10,000 square meters will accommodate more participants and visitors and will be the meeting point for tourism professionals.

The fairgrounds, which are centrally located, will be the new venue of the Istanbul Tourism Fair in terms of transportation and operational convenience.

PARTICIPANTS WILL ENJOY THE TRADE FAIR THANKS TO THE NEW CONCEPT

The participation of companies representing the sector will take place in stands prepared with a uniform concept.

The stands will be provided on a turnkey basis with all the decorations, technical equipment, meeting rooms, printing and carpets that the participating companies need, thus enabling the participants to attend the fair with a more economical and stylish stand.

This system removes the competition between companies for stands and allows companies to benefit from the time and money they spend on stand preparation. Stands can be offered in any size from 9 m2 to 400 m2.

PROFESSIONAL HOSTED BUYER PROGRAMME AND APPOINTMENT SYSTEM

Hosted buyers from target markets and attendees will increase their business volume with B2B meetings on their stands.

Exhibitors who open stands with international buyers will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings on their stands by making an appointment via the online appointment system.

At the same time, industry representatives who register as visitors on the website will be able to make appointments with exhibitors.

OVER 15 THOUSAND PROFESSIONALS

tourism aims to bring together 220 participating companies and over 15,000 professionals by hosting tourism professionals, hotels, countries, tour operators, agencies, cruise lines airlines, service providers, MICE professionals and diplomatic representatives from the world and Turkey.

It is expected that only professionals working in the tourism sector will be hosted at the fair and special cooperation will be signed through appointments to be scheduled in the online appointment system and B2B meetings.

It is expected that the fair, which aims to create a large commercial volume, will be the starting point for strong collaborations.

2nd TOURISM SUMMIT

The “Tourism Summit”, with national and international speakers, will discuss new trends and evaluate the tourism season of 2024 and expectations for 2025.

The summit, which will be attended by world renowned speakers, will shape the industry.

WHAT WILL BE THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE ISTANBUL TOURISM FAIR?

The fair, which will be held at Yenikapı-Eurasia Performance and Art Centre, is for industry professionals only.

Since it is a contract period, it will provide a perfect timing opportunity for hotel agency contracts.

Since this is the launch period for early booking campaigns, it ensures that all brands announce their campaigns at the same time.

Major international travel agents and tour operators will be in attendance as key decision makers.

B2B meetings can be held not only with hosted buyers (the decision makers), but also with trade visitors through the B2B platform specially prepared for the fair.

The “Tourism Summit” will be held with national and international speakers. It will discuss new trends and the evaluation of the tourism season 2024 and the expectations for 2025.

The ITF Gala Party, which will be held on the first day of the show, will be a unique experience for those attending and will allow networking to continue while having fun.

Istanbul Tourism Fair 2024

Istanbul Tourism Fair, which will be held for the 2nd time in its new location with its brand new concept; It will be opening its doors at Yenikapı-Eurasia Performance and Art Center (Dr. Mimar Kadir Topbaş Performance and Art Center) on 9-10 October 2024. It aims to bring together tourism professionals from Turkey and around the world, enabling the formation of new collaborations, while also creating a broad platform where new products and services will be promoted. While new trends and visions will bring new horizons to industry professionals with the seminar programs to be held within the scope of the fair, we will continue to network while having fun with the ITF Gala Party to be held on the evening of October 9. General information about the fair.

1st Istanbul Balkan Tourism Bourse Fair which is hosted by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, with the main support of TÜRSAB and in cooperation with İBB Kültür AŞ, organized by TÜRSAB Fair Services Inc., will bring together tourism professionals and visitors at the Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center between 20-22 September 2023. Due to Turkey's position as a bridge; The fair, which is aimed to support the establishment of strong tourism ties between the Balkans and other target countries; The Balkans will strengthen relations between Turkey and other countries for tourism and increase the volume of mutual tourism. The 1st Istanbul Balkan Tourism Bourse Fair, where tourism destinations in all regions within the scope of the fair will be promoted, also will bring a brand new vitality by supporting the Turkish and world tourism sector.

The Aim of the Fair

Being a big metropolis and one of the most important cities of the world, Istanbul is capable of offering great advantages to the fair participants as a city with high marketing and purchasing potential. The fair will become a tourism bourse with bilateral meetings between hosted buyers from target markets and exhibitors and visitors from many parts of the world.

Participants; They will be able to cooperate to create new tourism markets and joint tour packages with Turkey in different fields such as thermal, winter, mountain, cruise, sea, culture, MICE and faith tourism.

The source of the relationship between Turkey and the Balkan countries is based on rich cultural heritage, religious identity and geographical proximity. By taking advantage of this great potential, all participating countries will be able to attract more tourists with better promotion.

It will be possible to promote the touristic regions of the countries that are not known at all. Participants will meet with hosted buyers from various parts of the world, introduce their institutions and products, and have the opportunity to do business with new markets.

New collaborations will be possible with institutions and organizations from the Balkan countries.

While promoting their products and services, the participants will be able to learn about new tourism destinations, create new tour packages by learning about tourism trends in the Balkan countries and Turkey, and expand their business network.

TRNC at İstanbul Tourism Fair 2023

TRNC will take part in the İstanbul Tourism Fair 2023, which will start today in İstanbul.

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu departed for İstanbul in order to attend the opening programme of the Fair yesterday evening 3rd October 2013.

According to the information released by the Ministry, it was noted that the 2-day Fair, which will take place at the İstanbul Congress Centre, is organised to bring together tourism professionals from many countries of the world to enable the establishment of new collaborations.

Finding a great bookstore while traveling can be just as satisfying as spending the day at a beloved museum or sacred monument—and that’s certainly the case in Istanbul. The city is packed with hidden second-hand bookstores and flea market-style book alleys. The thing is—the majority of these places sell books written in Turkish, which, while beautiful to look at, mightn’t be the most practical if you’re looking for something to bring back to your hotel and read (unless of course, you speak Turkish).

That said, there are a handful of really good bookstores in Istanbul where you’ll find a huge variety of English-language books—from cookbooks and coffee table books to novels and nonfiction. Here are some of the best places to check out if you’re hoping to find a great read while in Istanbul:

Minoa Books & Coffee

Minoa Books & Coffee in Beşiktaş is a stunning spot to explore—whether you’re looking for a new book, fancy stationery, or you just want a pretty spot to stop and have a cappuccino. The independent bookstore and cafe has been around for over a decade and amassed a huge fan base thanks to its great selection of fiction and nonfiction and Instagram-friendly interior decor and art installations.

This massive bookstore chain in Istanbul might not be the most charming—but D&R is still one of the best spots in the city to find English language books and other media (including vinyl, video games, DVDs, and more). You’ll find this bookstore all over the city, including at the Istanbul Airport.

Robinson Crusoe 389

Robinson Crusoe 389 on İstiklal Caddesi is a must-visit while you’re exploring the bustling shopping street. This stunning bookstore is a great spot to stop and read (there are even cozy seating nooks to encourage patrons to stop and sample a book) and while most of the books are in Turkish, you’ll still be able to find a fair amount of English titles.

Kadikoy Istanbul Bookstore

This beautiful bookstore is located just above the ferry terminal in Kadikoy—and it’s well worth checking out while you wait for your ferry to the European side of the city. The selection of English titles at the Kadikoy Istanbul Bookstore is on the smaller side but the views from the second-story bookstore are bar none.
