Madonna announces 2023 tour that will celebrate her greatest hits
Madonna is getting ready to "express herself" all over again with her latest global tour.

Live Nation has confirmed the newly rescheduled tour dates for Madonna ‘s “Celebration” tour. After having suffered through a “ serious bacterial infection ,” Madonna had to put a halt to the start of her 80-show jaunt but has recently recovered and is now ready to hit the road.
The North American leg of the trek will kick off immediately after the originally announced UK and Europe dates with a start date of Dec. 13 in Brooklyn at Barclays Center. Due to scheduling conflicts, the following shows have been canceled: July 27 in Tulsa, Dec. 22 in Nashville, Jan. 15 in San Francisco, Jan. 18 in Las Vegas, and Jan. 20 in Phoenix. Find tickets on Ticketmaster and Vivid Seats .
“Getting all shows rescheduled was the number one priority,” said Live Nation in a statement. “Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, a few shows noted below will be canceled. Madonna regrets the inconvenience to fans and hopes to make it up to those markets in the future.”
The previously scheduled European dates are slated to begin on Oct. 14 in London and will visit different cities across the European mainland for seven weeks before concluding with two more London dates on Dec. 5 and 6.
The North American tour was originally scheduled to begin July 15 in Vancouver and rehearsals were nearing completion, but the singer was rushed to the hospital on June 24 due to an unspecified “serious bacterial infection” that led to a several-day stay in an intensive care unit, according to an Instagram post from her manager Guy Oseary .
“Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement,” the 64-year-old singer wrote in a subsequent social media post. “I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life. My focus now is on my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe.”
In another post shared on the singer’s Instagram in late July, Madonna shared gratitude for her fans, team and family and said she “realized how lucky I am to be alive.”

Madonna The Celebration Tour Setlist in Full 2023: Songs for concert at London The O2 Arena

Madonna's The Celebration Tour is among the year's most eagerly anticipated live shows - here's everything you need to know about the tour as it hits the UK, Europe and North America.
Madonna 's The Celebration Tour kicked off at London's The O2 Arena on October 14 2023 as the first of six dates at the venue. Four will take place in October, followed by another two in early December after Madonna has criss-crossed Europe.
The tour was originally due to kick off in Toronto in July, but the singer was forced to postpone its launch after being hospitalised with a "serious bacterial infection" .
When the tour was announced in January, it was billed as "Madonna's artistic journey through four decades" and a show that "pays respect to the city of New York where her career in music began". The pop icon said at the time: "I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for."
Given that Madonna has 72 UK Top 40 hits to choose from – including 63 UK Top 10s and 13 UK Number 1s – assembling a setlist was no mean feat. Little wonder she has recruited Stuart Price, the co-producer of her chart-topping 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor , as part of her musical crew.
With the Celebration Tour now in full swing, here's the setlist in full.

Fantastic show, but she had to cut Sorry, Oh Father and another song because of the technical issues at the start of Open Your Heart, otherwise the show wouldn't have finished by the 11pm curfew.

What is the point in calling this article the 'setlist in full' when you don't actually tell us a single track that we can expect? Just ask the cleaner to write for you, they couldn't do a worse job.
Edit:- Some surprising omissions, equally some surprising inclusions. Would have expected to see Material Girl and Frozen. Masterpiece is easily in my top 5 favourites, it is criminal that it never did better.
and what better way to greet the one and ONLY undisputed Queen of Pop with her very own Royal Standard Flag...
https://metro.co.uk/2023/10/11/madonna-gets-epic-royal-nod-as-celebration-tour-kicks-off-in-london-19645591/
"The Queen of Pop kicks off her Celebration tour at the 02 on Saturday and to mark the 65-year-old’s arrival in the capital the world-famous venue has created a Madonna-themed flag much like the Royal Standard flag.
The Royal Standard flag is flown at full mast whenever King Charles III is in residence at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle and Madonna’s flag will let everyone in London know she’s in town.
Made by the royal family’s very own flagmakers, Madonna’s flag will stay up throughout her five headline shows, in which the A-lister will belt out four decades of her biggest hits.
Steve Sayer, vice president and general manager at the O2, said of the idea: ‘The arrival of Madonna and The Celebration Tour in London is arguably the biggest UK event in pop music this year.
‘Madonna has been at the forefront of the genre and part of pop culture for four decades, and we’re very proud that this hotly anticipated tour kicks off right here at The O2. This Royal Standard flag feels like a fitting tribute to pop royalty, and the perfect way to kick off six incredible shows."

Show No. 9 of The Celebration Tour started at 9.48 PM last night at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm , Sweden.
The stadium looked packed and we’ll learn soon if Madonna managed to beat herself as she’s already holding the record for the largest crowd at the arena with her Rebel Heart Tour .
Madonna’s son Rocco Ritchie joined her on stage as the guest judge in the ballroom segment of Vogue – and her mother shared some great images from that moment on her Instagram Stories today.
The show ended at midnight sharp with no major changes in the setlist.
Next stop, Spain !

I noticed that the area dedicated to the golden circle in Stockholm was much bigger than at the venue in Antwerp for example. In Stockholm the GC took all the front of the stage and even around the catwalks. I wonder if this is going to be the case also for other venues such as Paris.

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl . Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

Queen of pop.
What a show! Her energy and artistic approach in her shows are unmatched. She was singing live, dancing and making jokes with the audience. A night to remember.
The Queen of Pop
The greatest female performer in music history. Loved the Concert and of course, at 65 Madonna knows how to put a great show on the stage to te masses.
MAGNIFICENT
The Queen always at top. 65 years old, 40 years of career. Love it
So good I am seeing her a 2nd time
I saw her in Copenhagen, she was 1 hr late but the show was incredible. 4 of her kids were in the show and are all very talented. I only wish she sang True Blue!
MADONNA IS A MASTERCLASS OF PERFECTION
I've been to 29 Madonna concerts and they are all absolutely phenomenal. She is a masterclass of an artist and definitely worth the time and the money.
Queen of Pop
Madonna never fails to impress. We truly see why she’s the QUEEN!
MADONNA CICCONE 4EVER
Her shows are like no other. It’s a theatrical presentation of her music. It’s the best of the best. A true icon! Can’t be explained you just gotta be there. Not her fault the show was postponed either. So some of these reviews are false. Best performance ever seen! Long live the queen
MADONNA!!!!!
She is the QUEEN of pop for a reason. Her shows are amazing. Always a fun crowd. I’ve followed her for 40 years. No one like her. Forever my QUEEN!
The sketchy Madonnas, as always
Madonna just buried her career with this poorly planned and over-cancelled horror tour. goodbye Madonna, no one will miss you.
Bummed about the rescheduled dates
Pretty bummed the original show was supposed to be in August and was rescheduled for December. unfortunately I decided to get reimbursed because I didn't want to have to travel to NYC in the winter.

Can’t Make the Concert? Livestreamers Are Coming to the Rescue.
As fans struggle to buy increasingly hard-to-get tickets (at escalating costs), livestreamers packing cellphones and batteries are offering another way to see the show.

By Nell Gallogly
Live music tentatively returned in 2021 after Covid shutdowns. More artists got back on the road in 2022, yet still hit pandemic-related snags . But 2023 has been a blockbuster for the live-music business: Taylor Swift and Beyoncé circled the globe with headline-grabbing extravaganzas, and they weren’t the only story. Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Drake, Travis Scott, Ed Sheeran, Morgan Wallen, Maluma and Madonna filled arenas and stadiums.
Buying concert tickets, however, has become an increasingly complex and expensive endeavor as costs continue to rise and companies like Ticketmaster and SeatGeek battle bots and scalpers. Fans hoping to attend the year’s hottest tours endured a maze of presale registrations, digital waiting rooms and hourslong queues. Those fortunate enough to reach checkout were met with lofty ticket prices — some because of confusing “dynamic pricing” — and additional fees.
But listeners left at home weren’t totally left out: iPhones, Instagram and TikTok have opened the door for intermediaries to bridge the gap between the gig and fans who didn’t have the money, connections or luck to get through the gate.
While in 2020, many artists turned to professional livestreaming through official channels to beam shows to fans stuck in their homes, the format was largely abandoned as in-person concerts returned. Three years later, a different kind of livestreamer has come to the fore: amateur camerapersons who show up with phones taped to their heads and backup batteries at the ready, eager to help hundreds — or hundreds of thousands — view the concert from home.
The increasing sophistication of phone cameras, the popularity of platforms with live capabilities and the challenging process of securing tickets to big shows have all but codified livestreams as an extension of today’s live music experience. “With the rising prices and Ticketmaster fiasco we weren’t able to get tickets,” said Kelly Epstein, a Taylor Swift fan who has (virtually) attended nearly every weekend of the Eras Tour with her two young daughters. “Livestreams allow us to feel like we are going to the show.”
In the days before sharing a concert live was technologically feasible, tape traders lugged equipment to shows where recording was permitted — frequently by jam bands, including the Grateful Dead and Phish, who viewed the recordings circulating among superfans as a harmless noncommercial means of expanding their reach. Tape traders approached their hobby with the seriousness of professional archivists: collecting hundreds of cassettes, often identifiable by carefully handwritten titles and set lists, and safeguarding memories and music for generations.
So who is a livestreamer today? Some spend a few casual minutes with their phones trained on the show, giving at-home viewers a taste that could leave them more frustrated than pleased. But others increasingly treat their role with the seriousness of a live correspondent. Meet Matthew Serafin, a global traveler catering to a rabid fan base while becoming a character himself; Morgan Lee, a spontaneous streamer who rescued an important concert from obscurity; and Tess Bohne, an at-home aggregator dedicated to Swifties.
The road warrior
Matthew Serafin was supposed to be heading home on an international flight, but he was too jazzed up to go to the airport.
The night before, Serafin, 28, from Chicago, had livestreamed the opening of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in Stockholm. Serafin had gone live once before — for a portion of a 2022 Adele concert in Vegas, when less than a dozen people had joined his stream. Expecting the same results in Stockholm in May, he watched in amazement as Lizzo, SZA and tens of thousands of other viewers tuned in.
Beyoncé would grace the stage for a second night in less than 12 hours. “I had to stay,” Serafin recalled in an interview. He was lucky enough to grab a ticket to the show on Ticketmaster and booked one of the few remaining hotel rooms in a city experiencing a Beyoncé-related travel boom .
Serafin was hooked. Hooked on Beyoncé (“My queen forever,” he said) and hooked on being the conduit between the artist he loved most and the rest of the world. “My Instagram was flooded with messages from people thanking me for sharing the show. People from Sudan, Kenya, Norway, Peru — places that Beyoncé has never and probably will never tour,” he said.
Since the Stockholm show, Serafin has attended eight Renaissance World Tour shows, and two of Swift’s Eras Tour shows across four countries — livestreaming each performance.
“To me, live music is, like, everything,” he said. Growing up, he was among the few openly gay students at his high school in the Chicago area. At Beyoncé and Lady Gaga concerts, he said, he learned to express himself among a queer-positive crowd.
Serafin estimated he’d spent $7,000 to $8,000 on his global livestreaming tour — a sum he could muster thanks to his salary as an associate in the commercial bank at JPMorgan Chase “and a bit of fiscal irresponsibility.” Sharing his experience with others was worth the cost: “Every individual on my stream is someone who’s touched by getting to experience the show and wasn’t able to be there themselves.”
And he enjoys the recognition that comes with being a vital streamer. “I just go to work and I am just like a dude in khakis,” Serafin said. But at Beyoncé concerts, he’s something of a star. “People stop me. People ask for photos. It’s crazy.”
As his audience has grown on Instagram, so has his ambition to move beyond megastars. Recently, he’s begun streaming shows of pop up-and-comers like Muna and Reneé Rapp. “I want to introduce people to folks they may not know,” he said.
The one-time savior
Morgan Lee had been standing in the hot desert sun for 12 hours to secure a near-perfect view of Frank Ocean’s 2023 headlining performance at Coachella — a performance she was starting to fear wouldn’t even happen.
The artist was an hour late, and YouTube had canceled its livestream of the set — the only viewing option for fans unable to afford the festival’s $549 tickets (fees not included). When, finally, Ocean stepped onto the stage, Lee, 18 and from North Carolina, pulled out her phone. “I knew people would want to see this,” she said.
By the night’s end, hundreds of thousands of people had hopped onto Lee’s livestream — at its peak, 125,000 people were on simultaneously. Her Instagram account grew from 6,000 to 60,000 followers, her name trended on Twitter and Lee was crowned a hero by fans across the internet.
The viral moment changed her life: In June, she leveraged her newfound social media audience to release a debut music video and, a few weeks later, she was taken off the wait-list at N.Y.U.’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music (“the closest thing one could get to going to pop star school,” she said).
Lee, who is now in her first year at N.Y.U., described the event as a happy accident. Still, her prime view of the Coachella stage at the Ocean concert, which helped popularize her stream over others, was more a product of her devotion to the artist she loves than luck. Since she was a young teen, Lee has been concert camping — waiting for hours, or days, to get as close to the stage as possible.
In August, she woke up at 3 a.m. to attend the Renaissance World Tour — her first-ever Beyoncé concert. As with Ocean’s set, she was breathlessly close to the star. But, this time, Lee didn’t go live. “I don’t want to be boxed in as a streamer,” she said, “My goal is to be an artist.”
Even if she won’t livestream again, she’s happy she could provide the show to fans at home. “It’s not like an accessible show,” she said. “Streaming is the next best thing.”
The at-home director
Tess Bohne, 32, has spent the past few months helping Swifties, one of the most voracious fan bases in the world, gain nightly access to Eras Tour concerts that she locates, curates and blasts out to her followers .
Unlike Serafin and Lee, Bohne doesn’t film the concerts herself. She earned the unofficial title “livestream queen” of the Eras Tour by using multiple devices to scan social media to find the best streams occurring at any given time.
When presale tickets for the tour became available last November, Bohne knew she was among the lucky ones: she snagged two tickets to the second night of the Eras Tour stop in Glendale, Ariz. After watching the show live , Bohne resolved to provide “the Eras Tour for everyone.”
The result was a D.I.Y. streaming command center set up in Bohne’s bedroom in Salt Lake City, equipped with a computer, two monitors, two iPads and a ring light. For 39 Eras Tour shows (and counting), the 32-year-old has planted herself there, finding the highest quality livestream running and re-streaming it from her iPad to her hundreds of thousands of TikTok followers . In the background, she has anywhere from one to four backups ready if a stream cuts out.
“For me, doing these livestreams has felt like a stick it to the man,” she said. “It’s a way of saying, you screwed us over but it’s not stopping us.” As a stay-at-home-parent to three young children, she said streaming has also given her “purpose outside of motherhood.”
Watching Bohne’s stream is dizzying. Texts and emojis whiz by as fans communicate on the chat function — feeding off each other’s energy like at live shows. “It’s their way of being at the concert with their friends,” Bohne said.
Her stream is an act of love — and labor (she makes her Venmo handle available for tips). The job hasn’t been lucrative, but she’s making enough to cover her expenses and, at least for now, justify the over 200 hours spent livestreaming the Eras Tour.

Madonna goes braless and lounges in bed in racy outfit ahead of show despite health woes
Posted: November 3, 2023 | Last updated: November 3, 2023
Madonna's long-awaited Celebration Tour kicked off last month in London and the 65-year-old has been steadily making her way across Europe in a string of headline-making shows .
While she has a brief break, traveling from her last Barcelona show yesterday to her first Lisbon show on Monday, the Like A Virgin hitmaker made some waves on Instagram .
She thanked her Spanish fans for their "incredible" energy at her two shows in the caption alongside a collage of snaps from her time in the country's capital, including some sensual photos from her hotel room.
In the first, Madonna posed on all fours on her pristine white sheets with some statement blue gloves and flaunted her toned figure in some tight black shorts and fishnet stockings.
It seemed the singer was completely topless and braless, with a thin white veil and a handful of chunky blue and silver necklaces carefully posed to hide her breasts as she gaped at the camera.
A second photo revealed the Grammy award winner was in fact topless for the impromptu photoshoot as she reared back onto her haunches and covered her chest with her see-through veil.
The Material Girl singer is no stranger to sparking controversy with her Instagram pictures , but the comments were largely overwhelmed by fans eagerly sharing their excitement for her upcoming shows or profusely thanking her after attending one.
One concertgoer gushed: "LOVE YOU FOREVER! Thank you for Stockholm last week."
Another applauded her, writing: "It was the best concert ever."
A third revealed they'd managed to get their hands on tickets for not one but two shows and planned to travel alongside the singer: "Best show ever!!!! Thank u so much!!! See you again in Lisbon!!"
It was during her Belgium show two weeks ago that the Hollywood star made a worrying announcement, telling fans in Antwerp that she wasn't feeling well on stage just months after her brush with a potentially deadly bacterial infection forced her to postpone the American leg of her tour .
She shared with the crowd: "I must tell you, I don't feel very well right now. But I can't complain because I'm alive."
Madonna also revealed that her hospital dash in June had given her a new "strange" sympathy for her mother, adding: "How lonely she must have felt in the hospital, knowing that she wasn't going to live. And I was given another chance."
