To be eligible for the award of Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (MIntTourHospMgt) , a student must acquire 160 credit points as prescribed below:

  • gain 110 credit points for core courses and
  • gain 50 credit points for elective courses.
  • gain 120 credit points for core courses and
  • gain 30 credit points for dissertation courses, and
  • gain 10 credit points for a elective course.

To be eligible for the award of Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (MIntTourHospMgt) , a student admitted with 40 credit points of advanced standing must acquire 120 credit points as prescribed below:

  • gain 70 credit points for core courses and
  • gain 80 credit points for core courses and

This degree may be awarded with Distinction where a student achieves a minimum program GPA of 6.5 with no failed courses. The words "This award was achieved with Distinction" will be recorded on the testamur.

To be eligible to exit the Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management program with the Graduate Certificate in International Tourism and Hotel Management award, a student must acquire 40 credit points for foundation and/or core courses.

To exit, a student should apply for a program transfer.

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. It incorporates the qualifications from each education and training sector into a single comprehensive qualifications framework. Under the AQF, all qualifications of a comparable level share a defined set of entry requirements and learning outcomes which make moving between Australian institutions easier, and transferring to international institutions less complicated.

All bachelor honours degrees are awarded with a class of honours. The classes of honours available are honours class I; honours class II (A or B); honours class III (A or B). The standard cut-offs for classes of honours are outlined in the  Bachelor Honours Degree Procedure .

Relevant discipline

To be eligible to complete a 2 year postgraduate program in 1.5 years, or a 1.5 year postgraduate program in 1 year, applicants must have completed a previous degree that is considered to be within a relevant discipline.
