I waited since last year to place this review. Please hear me out first. I wanted to try multiple tours and give a full scope high-level review versus a per tour review. With all the different interests, dietary restrictions etc., it seemed only fair to see the company for all its offerings. I am so happy to report that every single tour and experience with Milwaukee Food and City Tours is nothing short of fantastic. This is a company that is showcasing Milwaukee as a premium tourist destination, really one of the most underrated cities in America. They have listened to the people for the most popular attractions and must-eats, but also have included truly unique and special local experiences that fall off the tourist route showing off hidden gems throughout the city. They clearly have excellent relationships with establishments throughout the area and beyond. Each guide is knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. The venues visited are all local and excellent. The busses used are new, clean and comfortable. The drivers are safe and friendly. The food and drink is very well thought out and tasty to say the least. I am a very proud born and raised Milwaukeean and I couldn't be more pleased of how I see Milwaukee Food and City Tours as they continue to grow and show off our amazing little big city. I've lived here short of 40 years and they have shown me things I didn't even know existed. I now have more hidden gems to show off to out of town friends and family, and I always credit and recommend Milwaukee F&C Tours as a must-do for anyone, visitors and locals alike!

Had a great time for a group work outing. Bo was a great tour guide teaching us all about milwaukee and facts about our taco and tequila tour. Stopped at 4 places and had chimichanga, steak taco, Paloma, sopa, margaritas, and churro to end the night. It was all fabulous. Highly recommend.

If you can't make it to Milwaukee for a tour, or want to bring some delicious food to you, I highly recommend their advent calendars. They are pricey compared to cheap chocolate ones, but everything in the boxes is high quality, local stuff. I ordered the Michigan one, and so far have enjoyed a variety of candy, coffee, nuts, and dried fruit, and the sizes of the items are decent. It's a big box, but it doesn't need to be refrigerated, and if there's anything you don't want to keep for yourself, they'd make great stocking stuffers.

We recently went on this Bloody Mary tour for a girls day. One of my friends and I tried this years ago and loved it so we came back. Differences now is that it's not just a walking tour, they also used the hop which was fun just to experience. I also like that they take you places you may never think to go especially if you don't live in the city and are not familiar with places. We met outside of life storage and on a Sunday when you don't have to pay the meter, parking was very convenient. We met Robert and then got on the hop to our first stop at the Milwaukee public market. Our first drink was a blood Mary with tequila and a breakfast burrito with chorizo. This Bloody Mary was my favorite and I'm not a big fan of tequila. They had a homemade mixture of seasoning around the rim that I wish they sold to go. The next stop was at the Saint Kate hotel where we had Margherita pizza and their Bloody Mary. They Bloody Mary was a little spicier then the first one but not too bad and I like some spice. The pizza was delicious and the bartender at that hotel was very friendly. Our last stop was at the Plaza hotel in the Walnut room. The Bloody Mary there had a skewer of an onion, olive, chunk of cheese and half of pickle. It was pretty average tasting and the food was eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns. I personally do not care for poached eggs because of the yolk so that was a hard pass for me. The serving size was decent and the waitress there was very nice. Before hopping on the hop to go back to our original location we also got a chocolate cupcake but I forgot where they were from. All of the food was good and Robert was full of knowledge Of things around the city. He did mention that they used to give out beer chasers with the drinks but people would get too drunk. I wouldn't want a beer chaser but they also used to visit 4 places for bloody Mary's and food and this time it was only 3 for the same price if not more. I could have used one more place for bloodys and even just skipped the dessert. They give you a card with a discount code for a future tour and I'm really interested to try a different one. I would like to go on this tour again in a couple of years after they've changed locations of where they go again but I'd really like to see them bring back the 4th food and bloody option. That is pretty much the reason for my 3 star rating.

Our traveling trio (me, spouse, cousin) took the Brady Street Tour this past Saturday and it was EXCELLENT. Our tour guide Emily was personable, knowledgeable, and paced the tour perfectly. Having a small group was really nice--there were chances for conversation and we could all hear the interesting information Emily shared. There was plenty of delicious food plus most stops had water and an opportunity to use the toilet. Souvenir t-shirts and baked goods were available for purchase from some stops, too. The price of the tour covers gratuity at the resturants but not a tip for the guide so bring cash for that! Emily was available for questions about where else we could go for meals and drinks, which was super helpful.

Our reunion used this company for several days of tours. All were managed professionally and conducted with very knowledgeable guides. They let the driver focus on driving, while the guide focuses on being a guide. They also have multiple bus sizes, to properly fit various group sizes for each tour.

My husband and I went on the pre-prohibition bar tour on Saturday, May 20th. I must say, we were extremely disappointed. We were told that we would, as part of this tour, be receiving transportation, narration, four 6-ounce beers, one 6-ounce Old Fashioned, a traditional German pretzel and an assortment of meats and cheeses. The first bar (Holler House) took out three (3) 12oz beers and split them up between the 11 of us on the tour. I had to say something to our tour guide (Bo) who had to ask the owner for more beers (she brought out 3 more). The second bar (Valley Inn) was fantastic. The third bar (Puddler's Hall) gave each of us a watered down brandy old-fashioned. The last bar (On the Clock Bar & Grill) gave us each a whiskey & water. I don't drink whiskey and asked if I could get a beer instead. They charged me $5 for the beer. The assortment of meats & cheeses looks nothing like what was pictured on the website. It was a bunch of over-fried food (fried cheese logs, fried mushrooms, fried onion rings, fried chicken fingers) and some spinach dip. Hardly an assortment of meats and cheeses. The traditional German pretzel that we received was a cold, salt-less pretzel that was handed out on the bus with no napkins or plates available. As I said, we were extremely disappointed with this tour. We spent $168 for our two spots. We did not receive what was stated in the description. We sent an e-mail message to the company and they did not respond.

Horrible experience. Company double books their busses and cancels for my daughter's wedding less than 24 hours before the event. No reason other than we double booked the bus Way to put undo stress on the bride as she's on her way to the rehearsal dinner. I hope anyone who books this company also has a backup plan.

Hi, This is Dominic the food reviewer. Yesterday I got a chance to go on The Brady Street Walking Tour with Milwaukee Food & City Tours. This was my first time doing this type of food tour with my parents, in the city of Milwaukee. I got the pleasure to meet the owner Theresa Nemetz that led the tour. She said the tours started 14 years ago. We went on Brady Street on a walking tour with everybody. She told us the story of the neighborhood and Brady Street as you stop along the way and sample different kinds of foods. Theresa talked all about the interesting history of Brady Street and about the Polish and Italian history on that side of town back in the day. 1. Our first stop was at Zaffiros Pizza on Farwell Avenue. Every group got their own thin crust cheese and sausage pizza box. I love Zaffiros and will review here in the future. 2. Our second stop was La Masa. I got try their chicken empanada w/ chimichurri sauce to dip my empanada inside of. 3. Next we got tacos at Kompali Taqueria which is a Mexican restaurant. I tried their cactus taco which had cilantro on it. 4. Down the street we went to Peter Sciortino Bakery which is a bakery that has a varieties of sweet and savory foods. I tried their cannoli's which had cream and cherry in it. 5. Right down the street from Sciortino's Bakery we made a stop at Glorioso's Italian Market, which is a very well known Italian deli and grocery store here in the city of Milwaukee. I had their olives and Italian salami with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. 6. Our last stop on the tour was at Chocolate Sommelier which is a chocolate store. I had a sample of their chocolate from Italy. I absolutely enjoyed the chocolate and thought it had a sweet taste to it. My dad tried a truffle from France and loved it. I thought all of the food I sampled on the tour was magnificent tasting. I can't wait to do full reviews at all these restaurants in the future. I would recommend checking this tour out because you can dig deep into Brady Street history and see all the gorgeous restaurants and buildings. They also offer many other tours, including: 1. Brady Street Walking Tour 2. Tacos and Tequila Bus Tour 3. Milwaukee Pizza Bus Tour 4. Pre-Prohibition Historic Bar Tour 5. Walking Tour Around the Ward 6. Churches and Chocolate Tour 7. Milwaukee Craft Brewery Tour 8. Bloody Mary Brunch Tour 9. Old World 3rd Street Tour 10. Cedarburg Sweets and Treats Tour 11. Street Car Lunch Tour 12. Burger and Custard Capitol of the world Tour 13. Christmas around Milwaukee Tour I want to thank Theresa for the tour. I had a great time. I'm looking forward to reviewing more of your tours in the near future. Check out their website for more tour info. https://www.milwaukeefoodtours.com/?utm_source=GMBlisting...

Thank you for such an amazing tour. Our husbands are so hard to shop for for their birthdays so my friend and I decided to gift them an experience. We had a blast! Larry was our tour guide this past weekend on the Brady Street Tour and I am pretty sure he MADE the experience what it was. He was so friendly and funny with lots of great stories and antidotes. Plus, the food was phenomenal!! I have been recommending the tour to anyone that will listen!! I cannot wait to try a different tour later this summer (we are already trying to make plans!!). Again, kudos to Milwaukee Food & City Tours for such a great adventure and kudos to Larry for making it so memorable!

After a trip to New York and a chance encounter with a food tour, I returned to Milwaukee to create Milwaukee Food & City Tours in 2008. I was inspired to do so by my great-grandparents, Guiseppi and Rosa, who 100 years ago immigrated to Milwaukee from Santa Flavia, Sicily.

I am a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA), an alumna of Future Milwaukee, a 40 Under Forty by the Milwaukee Business Journal, and have served as a culinary speaker at a number of tourism-related conferences. We even won the Governor’s Rising Star in Tourism Award and were awarded the inaugural DearMKE award by VISIT Milwaukee. And then, 15 years in, the pandemic happened. We pivoted during the pandemic to not only survive but thrive and grow into an award winning, multi-million dollar family of companies with a worldwide reach. We launched a gift box operation that we now call  Delicious Food Delivered  to bring local businesses to doorsteps nationwide and helped so many small businesses in the process, and acquired  Chicago Food Tours  so that we can continue the tradition and operate one of the oldest food tours in the nation. We Travel Deliciously , and show off the Midwest through Great Lakes Shore Excursions . I continue to learn about tourism each and every day, and always try to have my finger on the pulse of what is happening in tourism on a global and national basis. My dream is to be the first tour operator to bring self-driving technology to tourism in the Midwest.

Milwaukee Food & City Tours is truly a family affair, with Enzo and Rose serving as our Directors of Work/Life Balance. We love exploring Milwaukee and seeing the city through the eyes of our children, exploring our amazing park system while relaxing at one of the many beer gardens, playing at great museums or along the spectacular lakefront, and taking classes at treasures such as the Milwaukee County Zoo and Schlitz Audubon. Our budding foodie, Enzo, is already a VPN pizza connoisseur like his daddy, and has yet to meet a mussel he hasn’t loved. Our Tour Guide in Training, Rose, already co-lead her first tour at a mere 6-weeks old with momma and received TripAdvisor 5-star reviews for being all things adorable. We anxiously awaited her first word, hopeful that perhaps it would be our favorite – “Milwaukee,” but it turned out to be our second favorite word, “pizza.”
