moe. Add 14 Dates to Winter 2023 Tour

Today, moe. announced they’ve added 14 new tour dates to their previously announced run set to take place in the early winter of 2023. The tour, which was initially arranged to take place primarily throughout the East Coast, will now stretch towards the Southeast and Florida through March.

The newly announced string of dates will kick off at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville in Nashville, Tenn., on March 9. From there, moe. will make stops in Huntsville, Ala., before returning to Tennesee for a performance at the Minglewood Hall in Memphis. They’ll then head south for a show in Pensacola, Fla., before heading to Charleston, S.C., on March 15. They’ll then return to Flordia for shows in Ft. Lauderdale, St. Petersburg and Pont Vedra Beach. They’ll continue to tour with shows in North Carolina and Virginia before closing out the tour with a two-night stay at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, Ga., on March 24 and 25.

The news of the new tour dates comes exactly one year to the day since moe. guitarist Chuck Garvey suffered a stroke, and he is set to return to the stage for their New Year’s Eve show at The Fillmore Philadelphia, which was where he performed last on Halloween of 2022. Though the band has yet to announce plans for his full return, Garvey did write a note which read, “Thank you for your well-wishes and your donations, without which my recovery would not have happened. This year has been a really long, difficult one for me, but a rewarding one, in that I learned what a person needs to do to achieve goals. Some are basic, everyday things like speech, and some are more about universal things that I noticed about family, friends, and community that keep us all afloat.”

moe. Announces East Coast Tour Dates for 2023

On the heels of the announcement that guitarist Chuck Garvey will be sitting-in as a “special guest” for their NYE performance, moe. has announced a short run of tour dates for early 2023, which will include select performances up and down the east coast. Beginning with three nights in NY, NJ, and DC in late January, the tour will resume with a 2-night run at the State Theatre in Portland, ME over President’s Day weekend, and an additional 2-night run at the Palace Theater in Albany, NY on February 24-25, coinciding with “moe.day” in Albany on 2/24. The band has yet to announce plans for Chuck to return to the band on a full-time basis following his sit-in on NYE.

The band made its long-awaited return to Colorado this month, where they played their first three-night run in nearly a year at the Fox Theater in Boulder. On the final night of the run, the band announced that Garvey, who suffered a stroke last November, would sit-in as a “special guest” for a portion of the band’s NYE performance at the Fillmore Philadelphia for the first time in over a year. The announcement came exactly one year to the day since Garvey suffered his stroke, and his return appearance is also especially significant, since the Fillmore Philadelphia was the last venue he performed at on Halloween 2022.

“Today marks the one-year anniversary of my worst day ever,” wrote Chuck in a note to fans. “I scared my wife, my family, my friends, and many of you who heard of my stroke. Thank you for your well-wishes and your donations, without which my recovery would not have happened. This year has been a really long, difficult one for me, but a rewarding one, in that I learned what a person needs to do to achieve goals. Some are basic, everyday things like speech, and some are more about universal things that I noticed about family, friends, and community that keep us all afloat.”

“So, thank you for your help and your community,” Chuck continued. “I can’t wait to see all of you where the water falls, and the music calls. I will be joining my brothers on stage in Philly, the city of brotherly love.”

MOE has warned of worsening weather in Moscow

Snow, sleet and wind gusts of 17 meters per second are expected in the capital on Monday, March 30. This informs the Agency “Moscow” with reference to the press service of a capital Central Board of the Ministry of emergencies.

moe. Announces Two-Night 2023 New Year’s Run

moe. will wrap up a meaningful year of touring with a two-night 2023 New Year’s run at  The Kodak Center in Rochester, NY on December 30th and 31st.

Last year’s moe. New Year’s Eve show in Philadelphia marked guitarist/vocalist  Chuck Garvey ‘s first time back onstage with the band in more than a year after he suffered a stroke in November 2021. Soon after that show, the band announced that Chuck would be rejoining the lineup full-time. In 2023, with Chuck back in full force, moe. will roll into New Year’s with the momentum of a busy year of touring.

The announcement of moe.’s 2023 New Year’s Eve run comes as the band, along with several other musical acts and venues, lends strong support to The American Cancer Society (ACS) through its inaugural “Rock The Pink” campaign. This initiative aims to harness the influence of the music community to combat breast cancer. To date, the band has already raised more than $4,500, and efforts are ongoing.

Having collaborated with the ACS’s breast cancer initiatives for the past two years, this year moe. has combined efforts with Umphrey’s McGee , Goose , The Disco Biscuits , Andy Frasco & the U.N. , Pigeons Playing Ping Pong , Kitchen Dwellers , and Doom Flamingo , as well as venues like The Capitol Theatre and  Garcia’s . Each participating entity is contributing in its own unique way, from selling limited edition merchandise to playing pink instruments on stage and wearing pink-themed outfits, all to generate funds and awareness for the cause. 100% of the proceeds go directly to ACS, the nation’s premier nonprofit for cancer research funding. An artist pre-sale period for moe.’s Rochester New Year’s run will begin on Wednesday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. ET using the password “GOUDA”. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning on Friday, October 6th at 10:00 a.m. ET. For complete ticketing details, head here .
