Go on an epic Aussie adventure with a crew that are top notch! Check out what the guys at Moto Trekkin offer for adventure riders.

Keen to go on an adventure ride through NSW where all the details are taken care of? Where the route, accommodation, food, everything is all sorted, all you have to do is lob up on your bike? You need to get on a Moto Trekkin ride.

Moto Trekkin are a motorcycle workshop that have started doing rides they call the Ridge Rider. They started in 2021 with Ridge Rider I and now they’re up to Ridge Rider IV for 2024.

Ridge Rider IV (RR-IV) will take you from our country’s capital of Canberra to Coffs Harbour over five glorious days, through the heart of the Great Dividing Range from 28 April – 3 May, 2024. RR-IV is a premium off-road motorcycle event for intermediate riders of larger adventure motorcycles. Expect five-star riding and professional support.

RR-IV is set to be a cracker. On RR-IV you can expect all of your route planning done, the best adventure riding NSW has to offer, quality accommodation, three ticket price options to suit all budgets, welcome and farewell dinners, various meals on route, luggage transport, medical support and sweep riders. They even have professional tyre service on the trip in case you whip it up too much and need a fresh set of knobbies or manage to score a flat tyre. But the tech support doesn’t just stop at tyres, they also offer limited mechanical support.

If you’re a more advanced rider they offer more technically challenging, breakout routes. For RR-IV expect to ride for about 350 kilometres a day.

If you get stuck they’ve got sweep and recovery vehicles to get you to that cold beer and most of their crew are now up to their fourth Ridge Rider run so they are very experienced. You’ll meet new friends with fellow adventure riders and form connections that could last a lifetime.

Moto Trekkin also offer an optional training course to get your skills up to speed before going on the ride. And to cap things off you get a goodie bag full of merch too!

Participant numbers are limited, so you’ll need to hit them up soon.

We’ve spent years developing and fine-tuning one of Australia’s most comprehensive rider development programs. We call it the Masterclass Development Program (MDP).

It consists of three separate weekends spread over time, designed to build your skills and confidence through one-on-one coaching and personal feedback. The MDP is a competency-based program which means you need to reach a desired skill level before being permitted to progress to the next level. This program not only delivers value for money but also tangible learning outcomes. Your skill level, agility and confidence will improve.

Our MDP is so comprehensive that the Australian Defence Force selected Moto Trekkin to provide advanced off-road motorcycle rider training to several special forces personnel.

If you own and ride an adventure motorcycle and want the attitude, knowledge and skills to ride with greater safety, confidence and enjoyment, the Moto Trekkin MDP is for you. All three phases of the MDP are conducted in NSW at a dedicated adventure rider training facility. Phase I is also conducted periodically in QLD and VIC. Check the available dates below.

The learning outcomes, inclusions, and the required program investment can be found in the full MDP information kit. The kit is too large to email. Bhutan is a small, landlocked nation located in the eastern Himalayas between India and China. Its landscape ranges from subtropical plains and forests in the South to subalpine forests and snowy mountains in the North. Bhutan is a predominantly Buddhist country and is known as the last stronghold of Mahayana Buddhism.

It is a government regulation that you must use a licensed Bhutanese tour operator to book your travel to Bhutan or one of their international partners.  

All International tourists wishing to enter Bhutan require a visa which must be pre-arranged through a license Bhutanese Tour Operator or one of their international partners. Visa clearance must be obtained through your tour operator prior to travel. For Indian passport (or VIC) holders, Bangladeshi nationals and persons from the Maldives may obtain a visa on entry.   

Current Visa Fee tourist have to pay is USD 40/person.

There are a number of airports where you can fly into Bhutan from (Bangkok, Delhi, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Bodh Gaya, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Guwahati, Singapore and Mumbai.). At present two carriers operate to Bhutan, Drukair and Bhutan Airlines. Also, there are three land border crossings which you can travel into the kingdom overland. All crossings are along the Indian border only – Phuentsholing, Gelephu and Samdrup Jongkhar. All travel arrangements to Bhutan must be made through a local tour operator. A list of tour companies operating in Bhutan is available on this website. Your selected tour operator will make all the necessary arrangements.  

Bhutanese currency is known as the Ngultrum. Its value is tied to the Indian Rupee which is widely accepted in the country.

Did a one day tour with a KTM and it had it all. From Dunes, drinking tea in the village of nomads, coffee in the city and eating traditional dishes. The guide always have an eye on your skills and looks for you. But is also chilled. Had a lot of fun, would recommend to do that! 👍 thanks again!
