Best tour to see NASCAR Race Team Garages!

Just finished two days of tours with Patrick and had an awesome time! We visited the shops of seven Race Teams the first day (Tour #1) and enjoyed the entire experience. In addition to his knowledge about NASCAR and the team garages, Patrick was a pit crew member for several race teams. His pit crew stories gave me an idea of what happens "over the wall" during this highly competitive part of NASCAR races! We took the Northern Tour (# 4) our second day and were not disappointed! We visited Richard Childress vast property with two Race Shops and a Museum. We stopped for lunch and a tour of the Richard Childress Vineyards (lunch not included in the price). We also visited the Curb MotorSports Museum which has a combination of Motorsports and Recording Industry Memorabilia. The day also provided the opportunity to see many of the places where Dale Earnhardt, Sr. learned his trade. All in all a great time at a very reasonable price!

Patrick is very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, having a pit crew background. He is flexible time wise, allowing schedule fluctuations according to your driver interest. Our experience was a very small group, allowing us undivided attention all day. Patrick's choice of lunch stop was also excellent. Over all, our day was a lot of fun. We took the full day tour of at least six garages and highly recommend this tour.

Could not have done it without Garage Pass. We were in town for a short trip, to drive a Richard Petty Driving Experience. Toured the shops with Patrick, and he really supercharged our visit! Knowledge, experience, familiarity with every race shop, and a genuine pleasure to hang out with for the day. Patrick is a terrific driver, knows his way around town, and got us to everything and so much more. We could not have accomplished what we did driving around on our own. And the bonus, discounts in the stores and Hotels, a photographer, and an encyclopedia of information. Thanks Patrick!! All the best!

My wife and I could not have asked for a better tour guide. Patrick Bernall was the best. He was very informative and made our experience memorable. We thoughly enjoy the all day tour & even though we could have drove to the race shops & saw what we saw, Patrick's personal knowledge and input was invaluable. Well worth the money. We learn things that you wouldn't get if you were doing your own thing without a guide. I'm sure we will return to the area again some day and we will definitely use Garage Pass Shop Tours. An added bonus was the 10% discount at the race shops stores, something we wouldn't not have gotten on our own.

Patrick was our guide and did an amazing job. We got to see many of the shops and hear awesome stories. Patrick was on a pit crew, so it was really cool to hear how things are done from his point of view. We did the full day tour, and it didn't disappoint, non stop action all day.. We saw Joey Logano, and Bobby Allison on tour, but they were not in a spot we could meet them personally, but still cool. I would without a doubt do this tour again!

Best NASCAR tour I have been on. Patrick was are tour guide and it was awesome to hear his experience with NASCAR. You really do get to see stuff that you can't find on other tours. A must

The Dale Earnhardt Experience culminates in the Showroom and Retail Store in Mooresville. The Showroom was a dream of Dale and Teresa’s, making the Earnhardt experience tangible to the fans.

From the First Turn, a giant wall of huge photos of the Intimidator, visitors know they’re somewhere special. All the pictures, awards (including all seven of Dale’s NASCAR Winston Cup Series Championship Trophies) and history-making cars are on display across the Showroom’s 6,000 square feet “House That Dale Built”. DEI Headquarters also houses the Corporate Offices of DEI, the Dale Earnhardt Foundation, Earnhardt Technologies Group, and many other arms of the DEI empire.

PIT Indoor Kart Track

Team Penske

Penske Racing’s state-of-the-art facility houses their NASCAR teams as well as the Indy Car and ALMS teams. Fans can view the NASCAR race shop through the viewing windows and then move upstairs to the 330-foot fan walk to view the race shop including the NASCAR truck bay, set up plates and work stations as employees prepare the race cars.  Fans may even catch a view of their favorite driver as he walks through the shop.

Trackhouse Motorplex

A can’t miss for any race fan, offering the latest and most exciting rental karts for Arrive-and-Drive opportunities. The 25 Adult Rental Karts (Ages 16+) are capable of speeds over 55 mph on a 0.7-mile, outdoor, 11-turn track. Open to the public 7 days a week, year-round, the Arrive-and-Drive rental kart program requires no reservations and is the simplest and most cost-effective way to experience the excitement of high-performance karting on a world-class racetrack.

Did You Know : The Trackhouse Motorplex sprint karting track is based on the famous and historic Kartdromo Parma circuit in Italy. The European circuit was first built in 1961 and over the decades grew to host five World Championships and four European Championships. Today, this facility in Mooresville hosts some of the largest professional touring karting series races in the country, making it the premier source for all things karting at every level of the sport.

Every year during race week in May, the track hosts The Little 600 , a test of the skills of current and former NASCAR drivers who battle it out on the track in the rental fleet. The event is a fan favorite as a way to get close to the racing action and score a few photos and autographs from the drivers.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour introduces measures to improve efficiencies for teams

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is introducing several measures designed to improve efficiencies for teams that will go into effect beginning with the Miller Lite Salutes Wayne Anderson 200 at New York’s Riverhead Raceway on May 18.

Over the course of the remaining 12 races on the 2024 Modified Tour schedule, the overall tire allotment will be reduced, providing a financial savings for teams through the rest of the season.

In alignment with the tire reduction, at tracks that require a tire change (with the exception of New Hampshire Motor Speedway), teams will now only be permitted to change a maximum of two tires per caution period (previously, they may change all four tires during a caution period).

In addition, practice time will be reduced by approximately 15 – 30 minutes per event, excluding the Martinsville Speedway championship weekend. This will allow race-day schedules to be condensed and permit teams to arrive at tracks later in the day.

“When we announced the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season schedule, we were proud that it provided balance for our competitors and teams, who manage their jobs and families away from the track,” NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour director Jimmy Wilson said. “As we continue through the season, NASCAR is always looking for ways to improve efficiencies for our teams.

“By reducing the tire allotment at several events and reducing practice time at all tracks (with the exception of Martinsville), we know this will help teams maximize their resources and time without sacrificing the high quality of racing fans expect from the Tour.”

Moscow Metro 2019

Will it be easy to find my way in the Moscow Metro? It is a question many visitors ask themselves before hitting the streets of the Russian capital. As metro is the main means of transport in Moscow – fast, reliable and safe – having some skills in using it will help make your visit more successful and smooth. On top of this, it is the most beautiful metro in the world !

. There are over 220 stations and 15 lines in the Moscow Metro. It is open from 6 am to 1 am. Trains come very frequently: during the rush hour you won't wait for more than 90 seconds! Distances between stations are quite long – 1,5 to 2 or even 3 kilometers. Metro runs inside the city borders only. To get to the airport you will need to take an onground train - Aeroexpress.

RATES AND TICKETS

Paper ticket A fee is fixed and does not depend on how far you go. There are tickets for a number of trips: 1, 2 or 60 trips; or for a number of days: 1, 3 days or a month. Your trips are recorded on a paper ticket. Ifyou buy a ticket for several trips you can share it with your traveling partner passing it from one to the other at the turnstile.

On every station there is cashier and machines (you can switch it to English). Cards and cash are accepted. 1 trip - 55 RUB 2 trips - 110 RUB

Tickets for 60 trips and day passes are available only at the cashier's.

60 rides - 1900 RUB

1 day - 230 RUB 3 days - 438 RUB 30 days - 2170 RUB.

The cheapest way to travel is buying Troyka card . It is a plastic card you can top up for any amount at the machine or at the ticket office. With it every trip costs 38 RUB in the metro and 21 RUB in a bus. You can get the card in any ticket office. Be prepared to leave a deposit of 50 RUB. You can get it back returning the card to the cashier.

SamsungPay, ApplePay and PayPass cards.

One turnstile at every station accept PayPass and payments with phones. It has a sticker with the logos and located next to the security's cabin.

GETTING ORIENTED

At the platfrom you will see one of these signs.

It indicates the line you are at now (line 6), shows the direction train run and the final stations. Numbers below there are of those lines you can change from this line.

In trains, stations are announced in Russian and English. In newer trains there are also visual indication of there you are on the line.

To change lines look for these signs. This one shows the way to line 2.

There are also signs on the platfrom. They will help you to havigate yourself. (To the lines 3 and 5 in this case).
