The world’s longest river flows through 11 African countries for 4,100 miles before spilling out into the Mediterranean, but it’s the Upper Nile, which snakes through southern Egypt, that offers the most cruise itineraries. These visit some of the country’s famous ruins and archaeological discoveries, including the Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Aswan and the Temple of Horus. Cruises operate year-round but sailings between October and May will avoid scorching summer temperatures. Whether you choose to sail on a modern cruise ship, a restored paddle steamer or even a traditional two-masted dahabiya, these are some of the best Nile cruises and itineraries for this journey of a lifetime.

1. G Adventures: Pyramids, Temples & the Nile

A traditional dahabiya cruises the Nile at sunset

Best for a dahabiya experience Leave the crowded ports to the oversized ships and opt for a more serene sailing with G Adventures. Its ten-day Egypt: Pyramids, Temples & the Nile itinerary includes four nights in Cairo and five on board a traditional dahabiya, which has no engine so you can sit back and listen to the sounds of the waves. With just ten cabins, it can dock at small sites close to villages for a more authentic experience. These include a visit to a nonprofit charity working with young people in the West Bank, a barbeque on a remote island in the middle of the Nile and a trip to Nubian village for mint tea with a local family.

2. ms farah: taste of egypt.

Best for on-board experience The real attraction of a Nile cruise lies on dry land, but guests on an Avalon Waterways cruise will be in no hurry to disembark. This ship has 56 deluxe cabins and two suites, and all have oversized balconies to watch the world sail by. Treats on board include free use of a sauna and steam room, complimentary wi-fi, barbecue lunches and dinners on the sun deck, a library and welcome amenities including a fruit basket and canapés. Guests can join an Egyptian cooking class, use a telescope to stargaze or attend a lecture by an Egyptologist. Ten-day Taste of Egypt itineraries feature five nights in Cairo, including lunches in local restaurants, trips to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Aswan High Dam, and an optional dinner cruise with live music and belly dancing.

3. MS Nile Plaza: Cairo, Alexandria and a Nile Cruise

The port of Alexandria is part of the 12-day MS Nile Plaza tour

Best for visiting Alexandria While most cruises include time in Cairo before sailing from Luxor, Titan Travel’s Cairo, Alexandria and a Nile Cruise itinerary also squeezes in a full-day excursion to the port city of Alexandria, the former capital of ancient Egypt. The 12-day tour includes seven nights on the MS Nile Plaza with its restaurant, bar and sundeck, two and a half days of free time and even a VIP transfer from your home for your flight to Cairo. Highlights of the sailing include the Valley of the Queens, the beautiful Temple of Philae and an excursion on a traditional wooden felucca.

4. Mövenpick MS Darakum: Wonders of the Nile, Cairo to Luxor

A cabin on MS Darakum

Best for watching the world go by Those who like to take the long route and stay on a boat for the duration of their Egyptian adventure in Egypt will enjoy a cruise on the 52-cabin MS Darakum. Thanks to its very low draft, it is one of the few vessels that can sail from Cairo to Luxor. After an intoxicating few days in the capital, exploring its markets, mosques and ancient wonders, it’s time to travel south. The beauty of covering a much longer distance than a traditional Nile cruise is the extra time it allows to simply sit and watch the world go by. Riviera Travel’s Wonders of the Nile: Cairo to Luxor itinerary is sprinkled with long and leisurely sailing days where there’s little to do except relax on the sun deck and gaze out at the small farms and date plantations, before retreating inside to attend the fascinating onboard lectures.

5. Mövenpick MS Royal Lily or Royal Lotus: Premium Nile Cruise

Relax in comfort on an Exodus premium Nile cruise

Best for ticking off the sights All of Egypt’s most significant sites are given adequate attention on Exodus’ nine-day Premium Nile Cruise. After time in Cairo and a short flight to Luxor, it’s time to board for a voyage through 7,000 years of history. The traditional-style ships include large Royal suites and very high levels of service and comfort throughout. As well as all the usual big hitters, there are plenty of offbeat options that make this an eye-opening choice for the curious traveller. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the impressive seventh-century St Simeon Monastery, the nearby traditional Nubian village and the chance to see Cleopatra’s unfinished obelisk.

Best for maxed-out luxury Devotees of the namesake hotel chain can enjoy the brand’s luxury on the water aboard the plushest boat on the Nile. The modern and minimalist Oberoi Zahra enjoys prime position at its private mooring spot on the banks of the corniche in Aswan. Its elevated approach doesn’t end there. As well as offering trips to the temples of Edfu and the island of El Nabatat on itineraries that include a four-day trip from Luxor, the boat has plenty to keep guests entertained, from a library and games room to a gym and open-air pool. At night, astrology lectures reveal how the night sky influenced life in Egypt in the past. The 27 cabins are tasteful and decorated in a natural colour palette; both of the suites have a private terrace and a hot tub.

10. SS Sudan: On the River Nile

SS Sudan

Best for Agatha Christie lovers One of the most historic and atmospheric vessels to ply the Nile’s waters, this celebrated 19th-century steamer once welcomed Agatha Christie aboard. It is widely believed that it was that trip in 1933, accompanying her husband on an archaeological mission, which paved the way for one of her most accomplished murder mysteries. Following Kenneth Branagh’s 2022 adaptation of Death on the Nile , the SS Sudan is the perfect ship for fans of the Queen of Crime; there are cabins named after Christie and her character Hercule Poirot. The boat exudes opulent period charm, from the teak decks and parquet flooring to the brass bed frames in many of the rooms. Guests also have exclusive access to a network of expert archaeologists who will help bring the historical ruins to life.

11. SS Misr: Timeless Nile

SS Misr

Best for traditionalists Misr, which means “Egypt” in Arabic, is a propeller steamer that has long enjoyed a romance with this country. Built in Preston in 1918 by the Royal Navy, in 1938 it was converted into a luxury yacht that played host to King Farouk, the country’s penultimate monarch. The vessel has now been fully restored to its former glory, and its 12 and 14-night trips are known for celebrating local food — there’s a rather regal feeling inside the main Marasem restaurant, with framed photos of past royalty dotted about and waiters smartly dressed in attire inspired by the glory days of Farouk. The food is largely international but local flavours are celebrated in dishes such as bessara, a local dip made from fava beans.

When it comes to relaxation, guests can spend time on their three, four and seven-day sailings in the hushed spa on the lower deck or relax on one of the shady poolside cabanas on the breezy top deck.

13. La Flaneuse du Nil: traditional-style sailing

La Flaneuse du Nil

Best for return visitors For those who have already sailed the Nile and may be looking for something different, La Flaneuse du Nil is a tempting option. While most boats travel north from Aswan towards Luxor, this intimate five-day cruise heads south into Lake Nasser bound for the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel. Powered by sails and tugs, just like the original dahabiyas that were once a regular sight on the waterway, this cosy vessel showcases the subtle beauty of the vast man-made reservoir that straddles Egypt’s border with Sudan. The boat sails at a leisurely pace, with stops for lake swims, sunset hikes and solitary mornings on quiet beaches, as well as guided trips to some of the most impressive ancient wonders Egypt has to explore.

14. Sanctuary Sun Boat III: luxury cruise

Sanctuary Sun Boat III

Best for fun on the river An extremely attractive boat, and one of the few vessels to (occasionally) cruise from Cairo to Aswan, the Sanctuary Sun Boat III takes its inspiration from the glamour of the 1920s and 1930s. Think ecru tones, four-poster beds draped in the finest Egyptian linen and entertainment in the form of belly dancers and whirling dervishes. There are modern touches, too, with air conditioning and a swimming pool on the Cleopatra Oasis sundeck: the perfect spot on which to sip a hibiscus juice and watch the world go by.

15. RV Da Vinci: Land of the Pharaohs

Best for value With its understated style, the RV Da Vinci is a good choice for passengers who want to travel in more contemporary surroundings. CroisiEurope’s eight-day Land of the Pharaohs cruise includes excursions to all the headline sights, such as the Valley of the Kings and Temple of Kom Ombo, and options to book others, such as a breathtaking balloon ride over the Nile Valley or the evocative sound and light show at Karnak. At the end of the day, enjoy a final cocktail as the sun goes down — all drinks are included in the fare.

The company charters this comfortable ship, which has 75 cabins, and for solo travellers it makes for an exclusive and intimate holiday. The sun-deck bar is a top spot to mingle over cocktails with newfound friends and enjoy barbecues. The supplement-free solo itineraries take in a 12-night Nile cruise, with included shore trips to the Temple of Horus, Valley of the Kings, High Dam and temples of Karnak and Luxor. At the end of the cruise you’ll fly and flop with a couple of days of relaxation in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada. The tour operator also uses the vessel for its escorted group tours on the Nile.

18. Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat: Nile cruise

Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat

Best for groups You can sail the Nile in style on this twin-masted dahabiya, which harks back to the graceful travel of bygone times. Inspired by the 19th-century vessels used by royalty and aristocrats, this intimate and sophisticated 14-passenger ship is the smallest in the fleet owned by the international Sonesta hotel group. It’s a wonderful choice for extended families or groups of friends who want to book an entire ship for an exclusive holiday. Sumptuous cabins are decked out in blue, gold and cream, and guests can wallow in baths after a busy day sightseeing. 19. AmaLilia: Secrets of Egypt and the Nile

Best for being pampered AmaLilia, which sailed on the Nile for the first time in March 2024, would impress even the most discerning pharaoh with its marble bathrooms, heated pool, massage treatments — and even a nail bar. Its suites are stylish and contemporary, and the decor throughout the ship has an understated elegance, showcasing Egyptian ornaments and artwork. The thoughtful Secrets of Egypt and the Nile itinerary includes extras such as the Abdeen presidential palace for lunch and a lesson in papyrus making in Luxor. AmaLilia is an almost identical ship to AmaWaterways’ first Nile ship AmaDahlia, with the addition of more plush suites.

Nile Jewel - 5* Cruise Tour

Nile Jewel - 5* Cruise

Me and my wife enjoyed our Trip in Egypt with Timeless Tours. It was one of the best trips we have taken. Egypt is a beautiful county with a great history and monuments and wonderful people. A must visit for everyone. Timeless Trip Staff did an excellent job and our fellow trip companions were superb. We all have developed a great bond and lifelong friendship (21 of us from around the globe). Hany from Timeless Tours was my go-person before the trip. He was very responsive to all my questions and concerns. Our pick-up at Cairo International Airport was smooth. Our Tour Guide Remon is a great guy- professional, knowledgeable, friendly and did everything we asked for even going beyond than duty at times. Other Timeless Tours staff members – drivers, security guards, pickup staff, etc. were all friendly and professional. Hotel Rooms were good. The Nile Jewel Cruise room was excellent. This is an extremely fast paced tour, but you get to see most of Egypt in 9 days. We also did most of the optional tour – including Trip to Abu Simbel, Air Ballon Ride in Luxor, Submarine Ride in Hurghada and a day trip to Alexandria. All was worth it. Here are my recommendations to all the fellow travelers. • Add a couple of days before or after your trip to explore Cairo. It is a wonderful vibrant City. • Do not exchange Dollars, Euros or Pounds Sterling to Egyptian Pounds. Take small bills. Vendors prefer to take foreign currencies and they get a higher exchange rate in the black market. • Think twice before you buy anything in the Perfume factory, or the Alabaster Factory included in the tour. Their rates were much less competitive than other places. Some of these places can be Tourist Traps. • Young woman especially who are travelling alone should be cautious and stay away from some of the gallant staff in the Nile Jewel River Cruise. • Alcohol available in Egypt is expensive and not good. So, take a bottle or two of our favorite drink (as allowed by customs and by airlines) from home. Overall, A Great Trip. Bang for the Bucks!

The 9-day Nile tour with Vacations To Go is genuinely worth it! I'm impressed with both the accommodations and the tour itinerary. The package offers three fantastic experiences, a 3 night cruise, and a two-night stay at an all-inclusive resort in Hurghada. My only suggestion is to consider adding more nights to the Hurghada stay.

Holiday In Egypt 4 Days – 3 Nights Nile Cruise From Cairo by Flight

We had an awesome experience on the Nile cruise! There’s no way we would’ve been able to see all the temples and tombs without the cruise making it so easy. Our guide, Wael, was excellent. He knew so much about Egypt’s history and culture and made us feel like family. The boat as well was wonderful. We didn’t know what to expect going in since TourRadar didn’t have pictures of the boat, but it was a modern cruise ship with very nice rooms. The meals were buffet style, so even I, a picky eater, was able to find food I liked. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a tour!

Reviews of Nile Cruises

It was a wonderful opportunity to travel to a Muslim country during Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, and experience the atmosphere firsthand. Witnessing how the streets emptied out by sunset as people gathered at home for iftar was truly remarkable. Additionally, seeing the free food provided on large tables for those who were out during sunset and breakfast time was heartwarming. The country's hospitality and rich traditions left a lasting impression on me, and I cherished every moment of the 11 days spent there. I'm eagerly looking forward to returning. A big thank you to Montaser, our exceptional tour guide who graciously led us despite fasting. cheers Liz and Raul

The ancient quarter of Cairo is intense—the colours, the sounds, the density of people—and it’s likely been this way for thousands of years. Like its twin shrine, the Temple of Karnak, the Temple of Luxor stands on the site of ancient Thebes, the once flourishing capital of Egypt’s New Kingdom. It was built over hundreds of years and even in ruins it is still an extraordinary place. You’ll also visit the Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of love and beauty.

Featured Excursions: Temple of Hathor|Temple of Luxor

Day 5: Luxor, Cruising the Nile River, Kom Ombo

The word “colossal” will take on a whole new meaning after today’s excursion to the gigantic twin statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. And that’s just the beginning—you’ll also visit the temple of one of Egypt’s rare female pharaohs as well as the Valley of the Kings, used as a royal burial place for nearly 500 years and where the mummified remains of Tutankhamen are on display.

Featured Excursion: Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple and Valley of the Kings

Day 6: Kom Ombo, Cruising the Nile River, Aswan

After visiting a temple dedicated to a crocodile god today (don’t miss the display of some of the 300 mummified crocs found in the local area), hop aboard a small boat for a bird-watching excursion along the Nile.

Featured Excursions : Kom Ombo Temple | Bird-watching boat ride and tea with a Nubian family

Day 7: Aswan

Today is an epic day, filled with wonders from start to finish. You’ll visit a marvel of modern engineering—the Aswan High Dam—as well as the Unfinished Obelisk and the beautiful Philae Temple complex, which was moved from one island to another back in the 1970s. But wait, there’s more. You’ll also take a ride in a felucca—a traditional Egyptian sailboat—and enjoy afternoon tea at a famous hotel depicted in Agatha Christie’s novel Death on the Nile.

Featured Excursions : Boat ride in traditional Nile River felucca and afternoon tea at the Old Cataract Hotel Aswan | Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Temple of Isis

After dinner onboard this evening, you’ll be treated to an enchanting Nubian show featuring traditionally attired performers, live music and dancing.

Day 9: Esna, Cruising the Nile River, Luxor

On today’s excursion, you’ll learn how the Temple of Esna was buried under debris for many centuries and is one of the last great Egyptian temples ever built. Your Egyptologist guide will share all sorts of fascinating insights about this significant cultural site and show you the façade bearing the last known hieroglyphic inscriptions ever recorded in Egypt.

Featured Excursion: Temple of Khnum

Later, savor the Nile’s majestic scenery as the ship cruises to Luxor.

Day 10: Luxor (Disembark), Fly to Cairo

Disembark in Luxor and transfer to the airport for your return flight to Cairo. Then, check in to your luxury hotel where you’ll have time to relax before dinner.

Note : Flights to Cairo depart early in the morning to take advantage of more favourable weather and traffic conditions, and to optimize tour scheduling.

Day 11: Cairo

It’s a day of Bucket List Moments today as we venture to Ancient Memphis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a number of amazing monuments to see—including the enigmatic Great Sphinx. You’ll have a thrilling opportunity to view the pyramids from an up-close perspective, the only way to fully appreciate their remarkable size and grandeur.

nile plaza cruise

I went on a 7-day cruise on this ship in March 2009, and in future I would avoid Presidential Nile Cruises like the plague!

We were on the Nile Plaza, which Presidential Nile Cruises claim is 5-star (4-star according to Kuoni) but which is 2/3-star at the most. On arrival, the bathroom had not been cleaned (probably ever) - the toilet was unspeakable, there was mildew everywhere and no toilet roll holder - the toilet rolls were kept on the filthy toilet brush. The room was generally tired and grubby, as was the entire ship. Coming from a four-star hotel, it was a total letdown.

The airconditioner was broken; it constantly pumped out freezing air, which was unbearable at night when temperatures drop below 10 degrees. We asked them to fix it, but it never happened. The room constantly filled up with a strong smell of sewage, which seemed to rise out of the toilet and plugholes. On speaking to others, we found that the smell only affected the cabins at the front and not the back of the ship.

The food was variable. Buffet for breakfast and lunch, which was generally OK. Set menu for dinner, which was sometimes good and at other times awful. Some of the staff were very good, but there were a few who were sour and some who harassed the women on board. Every single person in our tour group got an upset stomach that lasted for days. I can’t blame the salads as I didn’t touch them, but I do think that as the water in the bathroom stinks, that is probably the cause. It’s very suspicious that when the group arrived on board, we were given a little lecture on how the ship has a 5-star food rating (like the rest of the ship … hmmm) and if you get ill it’s not because of anything onboard, but rather because of the heat. What a load of rubbish.

The swimming pool had a slimy layer floating on top of it - there was no way I would get in it.

Like most cruise ships, drinks were not included in the board and were charged for at extortionate rates. Most people started buying water/cooldrinks off the ship and taking them to their tables.

The fleet was in the process of being upgraded and, as the ships all dock side by side, we had the opportunity to walk through some of the renovated Presidential ships. While looking obviously newer, they were still far from 5-star and were still cheap and tacky. Besides, a renovation still won't make the staff clean the rooms any better or make the sewage smell disappear. My guess is that within 2 years they'll look as bad as the old ones.

On the other hand, we passed some of the Thompsons ships on the Nile, and if we thought ours looked bad, then those looked 10 times worse! I wish we'd paid a little extra to stay on the MS Sun Ray, as the other people in our Kuoni group who stayed there loved it. As for Kuoni, I’ll think twice about booking with them as we didn’t get the promised 4-star accommodation in their brochure and it certainly wasn’t value for money. If you are used to 4/5-star accommodation, you will find this ship a huge disappointment. I only wish I could post photos here so that everyone can see how awful it was.

I had a great time on the same boat a few years ago. Boats change, new managers come and go, staff change, cooks change...its the nature of tourism. Very little is like it used to be.

Can you send photos to [email protected] as I am booked on the Nile Plaza in September.

Where ane of the other Presidential boats better.

The peak season is from November to February, when temperatures are often lower than in the prior shoulder season (June to August), typically higher. It’s best to go in the morning when it’s cooler and spend the rest of the day doing things ashore, like shopping and seeing the Felucca. There will be more time for fun activities.

Check our article about When is the best time for a Nile cruise?

How to reach the Cruise?

From Luxor: You can reach Luxor in various ways:

Entertainment on Cruises

On many cruises, a cocktail party is organized on the first day. During this event, complimentary drinks are served, and each manager introduces their crew to guests on board. Another event often organized is the festival in Galabia (traditional tunic), usually run by tour guides.

To participate in the party, you must have a Galabia, and you can buy one (around $ 10-15) and rent one from an onboard bazaar shop. Another type of entertainment is the Nubian show presented by Nubian dancers and singers dressed in their traditional costumes. Last night’s show consists of many performances, including a belly dance show and a show of Nubian jugglers, singers, and groups.

  • DebbJ 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Great way to get oriented to Moscow We started our Moscow experience with the hop on hop off. It was a great way to get orientated to the city. The additional optional tours were also good, we did the Metro tour which I highly recommend, we also paid for the Kremlin tour. The hop on hop off has three different lines all included. Only fault was the bus was sometimes full and you had to wait for the next one which was about 15 minutes (in the cold). Read more Written January 6, 2020

  • BeverleyT 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Boat trip - TERRIBLE We got on the bus, but couldn’t buy a 1 day ticket. They suggested we do the 1 hour boat trip and said they would drop us to the dock. 1) they dropped us in the wrong place 2) they were lost because of the marathon Then the boat, after we finally found it: 1) stinking fumes, actually gagging 2) no commentary, in fact, no interaction unless you begged 3) offered us 2 for 1 icecreams as they had melted and refrozen as the fridge gets turned off at night Honestly, we enjoyed the afternoon in the boat but spent all of it laughing at just how awful it was!!! The worst thing in Moscow! Read more Written August 18, 2019
  • niruDurbs 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Not the best value for the price The ticket is quite expensive and covers three different routes in a 24 hour period. The red route is quite exciting and takes about an hour. The bus comes every 10 to 15 minutes. However the other two routes take about two hours each and buses come every 30 to 40 minute period. If the bus is full then you have to wait at the stop for the next bus. So personally I feel that not much can be seen this way. I definitely was not impressed. However it must be noted that one can learn a lot about the history of Moscow Read more Written July 3, 2019
  • IrishCueTravel 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles SLO Motion Not all their fault , but if you plan on trying this Attraction be patient! Traffic is a big problem first and foremost. But to add additional unnecessary delays; the bus stops at each site for 15 minutes at a time or More ! I gave up half way through ( 45 minutes) ; and walked back to the starting point in 10 minutes! • michael g 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Worst hop on/hop off EVER Waited for 40 minutes in the cold rain for a bus that never came... unacceptable. Traffic is so bad that when on a bus the previos day it was barely moving. My advice-get a subway pass and a good travel guide book and do sightseeing on your own! Read more Written October 24, 2018
  • Rebecca J 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Boat element was excellent We purchased a ticket online for the boat and bus for 2 days. The boat element was wonderful, we saw some amazing parts of Moscow along the river side. The bus element was very disappointing as it only started at 10am and was finished by 6:30pm. It was extremely warm when we were there and it would have been great to do the tour in the cool of the day. There was also no air conditioning in the down stairs part of the bus. They also turned away passengers at one of the stops as the bus was full and there was not another bus for 40 minutes. Read more Written September 26, 2018
  • Monismith2014 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles it was very enjoyable it was very interesting seeing things we saw walking around from the bus. so much more to see. we had a lot better view of the attractions from the height of the bus.also the bus was reasonable slow which gave us time enough for photos. it stopped at sparrow hill for 10 minutes for picture taking Read more Written September 20, 2018
  • fati666222 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles The best way to see Moscow We did both routes but if you have little time then only do the red route. Its very informative and it takes you to the important sights. The staff on the bus are very friendly and helpful. Read more Written August 20, 2018

  • Peter F 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Two Routes There is a short red route which depending on the traffic takes about an hour. The route is generally around the Red Square area. The ear phones were small and sometimes the commentary did not link up with the sites you were seeing. The green bus takes you on a longer route and ours took two and a half hours due to the heavy traffic. I would not recommend this trip unless it is raining or you want to fill in time. The sights we saw were nothing outstanding with plenty of time at certain stops for photos. Also the driver stop for a bite to eat at one stop. Read more Written July 30, 2018
  • Bernardo P 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Boat Trips Moscow, Russia Yesterday, I booked a boat trip with the GetYourGuide.com web page and was totally horrible, didn’t have audio guide as it shows on the picture-Nobody Talk-. The girl on the picture-light blue bag-ask for 100 Rubles for show her the QR Code while I had the Booking and PIN number cause she must see the vessel name-Didn’t say nothing and after she said board any vessel. I suggest take the trip and pay on site, avoid fake internet pages, there are many other services with a lot of entertainment, don’t take this ones. Read more Written July 14, 2018
  • Kathrynowl91 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Good way to see some sites We usually do these tours when we travel. They get you round and you see the sight . The traffic is quite heavy so it is a bit slow but there is not a lot they can do about it. We only did the red route. Just a note people don’t queue here when the bus comes it’s a bit of a free for all. Read more Written July 13, 2018
  • Daniyal91 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Was Ok.! Started our tour of moscow from here, We had got the 2 Day Pass with the boat ride. The route and the map was good but not well managed. The bus didn't stop at many points. Were were unaware a couple of times at what point we were and missed them. Headphones and maps were provided. Would recommend one should check out the route map before going and decide which places to stop in advance, this way one can manage and enjoy the tour more and us it more effectively.! The boat ride was Ok, a little crowded. No guide provided, just a boat ride with restaurant service Read more Written July 12, 2018
  • WilliamDyer 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Poor service on boat and too many waiting times on buses For the price, you should expect at minimum English speaking tour guides with decent experience, but at least in my case that did not happen both in buses and boats. And in the boat even tough we were 90% English speaking tourist at least, the tour guide spoke 95% of the time in Russia, and only 3 sentences in English, I really counted how many times she spoke in English. And at the end she asks us if we have any questions? Of course I told her I couldn’t ask her anything since I didn’t understand 95% of what she was saying. The boat tour is not worth it, just take the bus that would be my advice. Second minus is the waiting times, in the boat they made us wait an hour before it departed, and in many stops with the buses waiting times of 20-30 minutes. I actually think I lost that day around 2 hours doing nothing. Be careful. Read more Written July 10, 2018
