Surrounded by glorious Welsh countryside these safari tents offer a natural haven for you to totally escape to and sit in a marvellous, peaceful, adults only luxury glamping site. Named after the most prolific wild flowers in the area, Bluebell and Foxglove, these pretty safari tents offer a luxurious retreat. The exquisite interiors include some lovely features, including a wood-burning stove/cooker, beautiful roll-top baths - and a small but perfectly formed farmhouse kitchen (complete with Belfast sink). The heady mix of beautiful canvas, gorgeous stripped wood and elegant interior design makes these safari tents a glamper's dream come true. This delightfully grown up glamping site is ideal for couples or friends looking for a relaxing time in the Welsh countryside, and is available to adults only. Inside the tent there is a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The well-stocked kitchen has everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible, from crockery to coffee (and everything in between - the owners really have thought of it all). With wooden worktops, a Belfast sink and a stylish Welsh dresser, it’s as pretty as it is practical. A large dining table sitting next to the kitchen lends itself perfectly as a sociable hub for the chef and any potential diners. Just make sure you pull the doors back and enjoy the picture-perfect view. The lounge houses a large state-of-the art wood burning stove - which also doubles up as a hot plate and cooker. Perfect for keeping you toasty in the winter months. And there are plenty of board games stored away in the coffee table to keep you entertained. In the bedroom you’ll be pleased to discover an indulgent king-size bed complete with a sumptuous Hypnos mattress, a thick duvet and heavenly Egyptian cotton bedding. And if the nights get chilly then there are hot water bottles and plenty of blankets to keep you snug. The bathroom is beautiful, with a roll-top bath, luxurious toiletries and fluffy white towels - glamping doesn’t get more glamorous than this! Outside there is a fabulous raised deck area, perfectly placed for the stunning panoramic views. You can completely relax on the comfortable rattan furniture - and it’s the perfect place to do a bit of bird-spotting, with buzzards and red kites a common sighting. To the side of the lodge there is a great Kadai BBQ fire pit - it’s time to flex your survival skills with a spot of marshmallow toasting. The local area is as delightful as the accommodation. Head out to explore the rather fabulous Powys Castle - a medieval delight complete with impressive gardens and eclectic art collections. The local narrow-gauge Welshpool and Llanfair light railway takes you on a steam-powered journey through some of Wales’ most beautiful countryside (you can even catch a glimpse of these fine steam trains from the deck of your safari tent). And if the sea beckons then the long sandy beach and pretty harbour of Barmouth is only an hour away.

We've just returned from an excellent stay at Oaklands Glamping having stayed in the "bluebell" luxury safari tent. What can i say apart from wow what a fabulous bit of glamping luxury! There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, the hot tub was ready and waiting for us and Shaphan gave us a lovely welcome. We had the best couple of days enjoying the hot tub having bbq's and just totally relaxing. I would highly recommend staying here it really is wonderful!

Amazing experience. My partner and I visited for our mini moon and stayed 3 nights in the gorgeous Bluebell safari tent with luxurious hot tub and seated area around the fire pit. The tent was like a home from home, it had all of the necessities needed to live comfortably for a few days. There's a beautifully laid out and stylishly designed open-plan living space leading straight onto the raised decking where you can see some stunning views. Abigail and Shaphan were fantastic hosts, communication was very easy with a direct number to either phone or text. We were welcomed on-site and shown around and they explained how to use fire pits, wood burning stoves etc. They have a clever little setup with an honesty shop for all the essentials that you may have forgotten en route, there's a small shed for your extra wood and parking on site. We felt very spoilt as the hot tub was ready on arrival, our tent had some little surprises including a bottle of bubbly!! I'm so glad we decided to visit Oakland's as our honeymoon site, we have decided to return on our anniversary and we will be recommending to all friends and family. This is one glamping site you want to visit!! Thank you Abigail and Shaphan.

Situated in a sensational hilltop location in the green, rolling heart of mid-Wales, Oaklands Glamping is a high-end glamping site that more than merits the journey – adults-only, wonderfully remote, and blessed not only with the super luxury Heartwood Treehouse  but also with a couple of high-end but comfortable boutique safari tents. In many ways it's a perfect spot for both novice and serious glampers: luxurious enough for someone who frankly would rather be staying in a five-star hotel, but also wild enough to satisfy even the most hardcore outdoorsy type! The brainchild of owners Shaphan and Abigail Davies, its a zero-hassle adults-only glampsite in a great location.

Oaklands' two safari tents, Bluebell and Foxglove (named after the site's resident flower species), sleep two and are perfect for couples. You may be surprised at just how comfortable they both are, with an all-singing, all-dancing kitchen-diner complete with a cosy wood-burning stove, small hob, mini-fridge and a dining table and chairs, plus a living area with 3-seater sofa. The tents each have a bedroom with a king-size bed, and a bathroom with a beautiful roll-top bath, toilet, sink, thick cotton towels and plush toiletries.

Outside, the private outdoor decking is equipped with your own barbecue area and fire pit, along with a wood-fired hot tub from which to enjoy not only the stars but also the earthbound beauty of this unique location, with only birdsong and the distant rush of the Banwy River below to disturb you. Beyond the site, attractions include the Welshpool and Llanfair steam railway, medieval Powis Castle, Lake Vyrnwy and Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in Wales. You're also just an hour from either Snowdonia or Aberdovey Beach – although you may find that with all this comfort, birdsong and bucolic beauty in one place, there's little need to go anywhere at all!

There's loads of outdoor activities to do in the local area, including Bike Park Wales and the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) . The campsite is well kitted out for mountain bikers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. There are bike washing and secure storage facilities, an EV charger and the site is Green Key certified. Most of the cabins sleep four people, and while one cabin is en suite, the rest have allocated separate outside kitchens and showers.

You’ll get a warm Welsh welcome at  Treberfedd Farm Eco Cabins . Stay in the unique octagonal eco cabins, Saffir and Aerona. Powered by green energy and built from local timber, each stylish cabin also has a wood burning stove and underfloor heating, which is heaven-sent after a cheek-glowing trip around the farm’s organic trail and welly walk. The farm is dog-friendly so you can bring four-legged family members along.

Shepherd’s huts

Shepherd's huts usually look like sheds on wheels, but don't let that put you off! These days, shepherd's huts are tend to be charming, off-grid single room spaces, with comfy beds, log-burning stoves and fantastic views over the quiet countryside. Perfect for a bit of solitude.

Looking for glamping in North Wales? Imagine staying in a cosy shepherd's hut surrounded by a secluded wildflower meadow. With added alpacas on site. 'Cwtch' means 'hug', and the ethos at this Visit Wales Gold Award winning spot is to feel like you are on your perfect hideaway holiday. The self-contained huts have en-suite bathrooms, underfloor heating and log burners, plus a communal hut - ideal for a group getaway.  Cwtch@Hafod  is close to the coast and a great base to explore Anglesey and North Wales.

Also in North Wales but this time located on the glorious Llŷn Peninsula,  Brook Cottage Shepherds Huts  offer a luxury boutique adults only glamping retreat in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near the border of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park . Nestled within a wildflower meadow overlooking a private lake, each of the five handcrafted traditional huts come complete with en-suite shower room, fully fitted kitchens and a wood-burning stove to make those chilly evenings extra cosy. Perfect for couples seeking a special private getaway… and with two of the huts being dog friendly, you could even bring your four-legged friend too.

The  Wild Meadow Shepherd's Hut  in Mid Wales is spot-on for a romantic getaway. Set up high on the Presteigne hillside, you can enjoy amazing views over a valley when you fling open the door to welcome in the morning. The hut has a wood burning-stove, outside cooking and a full sized double bed. You can pick ingredients from the nearby orchard and rustle up dinner to enjoy under the darkening sky.

In the heart of the Glamorgan countryside,  hide at St Donats  is a group of three fully equipped snug cabans, a shepherd's hut and a lodge hidden amongst wildflowers and trees. Set in Tresilian Wood, hide shares nearly eight acres of land with an arboretum, so it's truly amongst the wildlife. If you fancy glamping by the sea, it's near St Donats, a small village with wonderful views of the Welsh coastline and easy access to great walks in the wilderness.

Tipis and yurts

Yurts and tipis were originally used as portable homes by the nomadic tribes of Mongolia and America. Nowadays, they are a popular eco-friendly accommodation choice if you're looking for somewhere different to stay. Find out what to expect on a luxury yurt holiday in Wales .

GreenWood Tipi Glamping offers six spacious, comfortable family-sized tipis in the foothills of Eryri (Snowdonia). They each have a log burner, real beds and hot showers nearby. The best bit? Free entry to GreenWood Forest Park next door. 

There are five special accommodation options on the secluded  Trellyn Woodland Camping  site in Pembrokeshire. Two of them are geo-domes that measure seven metres wide, meaning there's plenty of room for chilling out. There are also three themed yurts, each with real beds, a dedicated camp kitchen and a covered campfire area. Also thrown in are fridge freezers, power showers, charging points, wetsuits, surfboards, a sauna, Wi-Fi and more!

Escape to the Carmarthenshire countryside with a stay at the award-winning  Larkhill Tipis & Yurts . Each spacious yurt and tipi is based on a different design from around the world. The tipis and yurts are well spaced around the woodland, are fully furnished, with log burners and outside camp fires. It's a lovely location for families as well - there's a play park and plenty of space for children to explore, build dens and learn about nature.

Glamping pods

Glamping pods are small wooden huts, allowing you to get close to nature without the hassle of a tent. They are usually nice and cosy, with sheltered outside space, some form of heating, and cooking facilities. They can be furnished or unfurnished depending on the site. Pods are ideal for glamping in Wales for families - many sites have large enough pods for adults and kids to share. 

Toilets and showers are usually separate, or in shared facilities, depending on the size of the pod and the type of campsite they are on. 

As well as having a touring park, the  Plasyngheidio  working farm on the beautiful  Llŷn Peninsula  has two glamping pods sleeping four people each. They have cooking facilities, electric sockets and wi-fi, so you can enjoy your home comforts while experiencing the amazing scenery around you.

If sharing your sleeping space with a bug or two has never appealed,  Cwmcarn Forest Campsite  has timber pods that offer protection against critters and the cold nights. Each of the camping pods has a heater, electric sockets and partially-covered verandas, so you can escape from the everyday and not have to worry about packing up your poles in the morning.

Abbey Farm  is a small, family-run caravan, campsite and glamping site on a working farm right next to Rhuddlan Castle. The three stylish Gold Award-winning glamping pods are hand-made, and named after the farm dogs. Perfect for a couples break, you'll feel instantly relaxed chilling out on the patio in the calming countryside. Expect the wandering farm animals to come say 'hello' as well.

Come to our award winning glamping site in West Wales.  Experience roaring campfires, beautiful beds, sumptuous sofas, running water, flushing toilets and fully equipped kitchens.

Our five fully equipped safari tents make the most of our amazing westward views

You will find our five luxurious safari tents Seren (with it own wood-fired hot tub), Afon, Aderyn, Enfys and Dyffryn (meaning star, river, bird, rainbow and valley) nestled into the hillside of our 11 acre smallholding in West Wales.

Each tent sleeps up to 6, perfect for a glamping holiday with families and friends alike, but cosy enough for just two of you .

Enfys and Dyffryn are our most accessible glamping tents with attached wet-rooms and a number of other accessibility features.  A brief summary is below and more details can be found in our accessibility section.

We welcome group bookings and are happy to host celebrations on site.  Find out more about taking over the site.

Seren comes with a wood-fired hot tub so you can take in the sunset and stargaze from the hot tub.

We welcome well-behaved dogs in all our tents.

Campfires are very welcome on the site and each tent has it's own fire pit and cooking tripod.

About the Safari Tents

All of our safari tents have a spacious living area with a cosy wood burning range cooker,  leather sofa, upcycling industrial dining table, benches and chairs as well as a coffee table and games box.

There is a fully equipped, handcrafted kitchen in each of the tents including a sink with running water, a fridge, a single ring gas burner and a lovely 8kw Chilli Penguin log burning stove with oven and hot plate.  The kitchens come with all pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glasses.

The safari tents come with mains lighting and a USB charging point. Enfys and Dyffryn have 3-pin sockets for wheelchair charging and for medical equipment.

Enfys and Dyffrn are 1m wider than our other tents, have a roll under sink and pull out work tops.

Seren, Afon and Aderyn each have 2 bedrooms, one double (with a king sized bed) and one twin room, as well as a handcrafted cabin bed (a double) which is situated just off of the living area.  The bedrooms are all equipped with extra blankets and hot water bottles.

Last but by no means least the tents have private flushing toilets and hand basins (showers are located just across the field).

Enfys and Dyffryn also have 2 rooms, one with a super king bed (which can be split into singles), a twin room with bunk beds as well as a double cabin bed. Enfys and Dyffryn also come with an attached accessible wet-room.  Detailed specifications can be found in our accessibility section .

Outside all of the tents there is a covered deck area with seating to make the most of the incredible views, there is also a separate picnic table and fire pit for alfresco dining and cooking.

One of the most common questions we get asked about the safari tents is 'but how like camping is it?' . So we wrote this blog to answer that question.

The site was perfect we range in age from 6 to 50 and it has something for all of us, from a communal campfire to pigs who love a tickle. Our 13 year old son stayed in 'The Cupboard' and proclaimed it was the comfiest bed he'd ever slept in and is now fashioning his own 'Cupboard' at home! I’m a huge fan of glamping and have been on my fair share of unusual romantic weekend breaks in the UK , so it’s safe to say I know a thing or two.

From treehouses and geodomes to safari tents and cabins, here are 17 amazing glamping holidays with a hot tub in Wales.

Treehouses with a hot tub in Wales

1. oaklands treehouse in welshpool.

Price per night: From £198 for 2 people

Address: Llangyniew, Welshpool, Powys SY21 9EJ

One of my favourite treehouse holidays with a hot tub in the UK , Oaklands is a glamping site you cannot miss!

This treehouse may look like it belongs on the beach but you will actually find it hidden away in the heart of Mid Wales.

High up in the trees, lovingly made with couples in mind, this treehouse really is the perfect “get away from it all” retreat.

The luxuriously modern interiors make you feel like you are staying in a five-star hotel rather than a treehouse.

This place is alllll  about providing the best of both worlds!

Outdoors you will feel completely immersed in nature as a huge oak tree is incorporated into the decking balcony area.

So sit back in the wood-fired hot tub with a glass of bubbly in hand and feel any worries melt away from you.

If it gets chilly outdoors in the colder months, don’t fear because you will soon discover an extra area with an outdoor wood burner.

Perfect for that not-so-perfect Welsh weather!

2. Squirrels Nest Treehouses in Llandrindod Wells

Price per night: £495 for 2 people

Set within 900 acres of hillside,  Squirrel’s Nest Treehouses  are a breath of fresh air.

There are two treehouses to choose from, Cadwollen’s and Trawscwm, both of which are spaces of unique shape and style.

Whether you soak in the freestanding bath or outdoor hot tub first, relaxation will be your #1 priority here.

Squirrel’s Nest aid this by providing you with tea, coffee, cake and a bottle of wine on arrival.

Combining the fun of camping with the luxury of a modern hotel, each treehouse comes complete with a 43inch TV.

And if hot tubs aren’t your thing, you can still relax under the night skies on one of two hammocks.

Top tip: if you are feeling a little more adventurous, head out to the nearby Elan Valley for gorgeous views and great hiking and biking trails.

3. Copse Camp Treehouse in Denbighshire

Price per night: From £125 for 5 people

Address: Faraway, Llandegla, Denbighshire, LL11 3BG

If you like your treehouses a little more rustic,  Copse Camp  is the place for you.

Copse Camp most resembles the real-life treehouses you dreamt up as a little’un!

Reminisce on your days of adolescence as you embark across the rope bridge into your very own treehouse.

Tucked away in the treetops of an off-grid forest in  North Wales , this treehouse provides the perfect opportunity to unwind in the heart of real nature.

While Copse Camp may lack the luxuries of some other treehouses on this list, you’ll still benefit from soft white bed linen, fluffy towels, a compost loo, hot water plumbing and solar chargers.

And least of all not forgetting that very much sought after hot tub!

If you’re looking to up your glamping  game, this treehouse also comes with a re-purposed gypsy caravan, which doubles up as a games room or extra bedroom.

4. argoed barns geodomes in brecon.

Price per night: From £103 for 2 people

Address: Talachddu, Brecon, Powys, LD3 0UG

I first fell in love with geodomes when I stayed at Loveland Farm in Devon five years ago.

There’s just something about them that feels so otherwordly and like you’re in your own little bubble, away from the world.

And Argoed Barns is no exception!

Sat on a hillside in mid-Wales, just four miles outside the historic market town of Brecon, you’ll find this dog-friendly hideaway.

It’s the perfect place for couples to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, amongst some of Wales’ best scenery.

The Brecon Beacons, Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains are all on your doorstep.

So you can choose whether to get out in nature, just relax in your bubble, or do a bit of both!

They have two beautifully decorated geodomes on-site, Seren Bach and Seren Mawr.

Both are well equipped with a double ring gas hob and a kitchen sink, and a self-composting loo, washbasin and gas-powered shower just outside the dome.

And of course, you’ll also find a wood-fired hot tub to soak in with your loved one in the Dark Sky Reserve.

Could stargazing get any dreamier than this?

I think not!

5. Cosy Under Canvas Geodomes in Kington

Price per night: From £80 for 2 people

Address: Dolbedwyn, Newchurch, Kington, Powys, HR5 3QQ

Perched just on the edge of the Welsh border, you’ll find seven stylish geodomes at Cosy Under Canvas .

Whether you fancy an intimate holiday with your partner or a group holiday with friends or family, they’ve got you covered.

There are two cosy domes that sleep two adults, and five spacious domes that sleep up to four adults comfortably (or more if you’ve got the kids with you or you’re really close!).

Not only are the spacious domes large but their accompanying wood-fired hot tubs also fit up to five adults.

The site itself is well-equipped.

To cook your meals, you have the option of either getting back to basics by cooking on the open fire or knocking yourself something up in one of the fully kitted communal kitchens.

Cosy Under Canvas keep their impact on the environment to a minimum, so their loos are composting.

And when it comes to showering, you can also choose between a more rustic and luxurious experience.

Either shower in the wood-fuelled showers in the wood with a lovely canopy view of the trees above, or head to the bathrooms a short walk away for more powerful showers heated by their biomass boiler.

6. Beavers Retreat Geodomes in Tenby

Price per night: From £90 for 2-4 people

Address: Beavers Hill, The Ridgeway, Manorbier, Tenby, Pembrokeshire. SA70 8LQ

The final geodome on this list is Beavers Rest .

Beavers Rest is one of my favourite glamping holidays with a hot tub in Wales for its location alone.

Set in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park , near the colourful seaside town of Tenby, there is plenty to see and do here.

Each dome is equipped with a double bed with crisp cotton bedding to ensure a comfortable and cosy night’s sleep.

If you want to go away with friends or family, you also have the option of a sofa bed, with full bedding provided if needed.

Each dome also has its own private wood-fired hot tub, indoor log burner, gas hob and oven, and private picnic table and BBQ.

However, perhaps my favourite thing about Beavers Retreat is that they offer alpaca trekking.

Yep, that’s right, alpaca trekking.

Set on a working six-acre cattle and sheep farm, the glamping site is perfectly placed to host its ten pet alpacas.

They have been halter trained, and are extremely tame allowing you to get up close and personal with them.

7. two valleys retreat safari tents in presteigne.

Price per night: From £175 for 7 people

Let’s move swiftly on to some of Wales’ best safari tents.

These beauties will take you from the green fields of Wales to the plains of South Africa!

Two Valleys Retreat has to be one of my favourite glamping holidays with a hot tub in Wales for the isolation it provides alone.

A real off-grid escape, a few days here will provide the most perfect peace and quiet you could wish for.

The canvas lodge sits just outside the treeline at the top of a bank.

This means it boasts some of the most stunning countryside views.

And the best part is that it is without another soul in sight!

I’m already daydreaming about sitting out on the deck for a scenic breakfast or cooking up a BBQ feast with a glass of wine in hand, before heading to the wood-fired hot tub for an evening dip under the stars.

It doesn’t get much more idyllic than that.

The safari tent sleeps up to seven people with two double bedrooms and one double/single bunk bed.

And with a full shower room with hot water and a plumbed-in toilet, this is one of the more luxurious glamping holidays with a hot tub in Wales.

Top tip: Be sure to order a cooked breakfast hamper or vegetarian breakfast hamper to make your stay extra special!

8. NightSky Safari Tents in Pwllheli

Moving swiftly onto some cosy cabins that you’ll never want to leave!

One of the more unique glamping holidays with a hot tub in Wales, The Hiveaway has been lovingly handcrafted by owners, Nick and Lauren.

Aptly named, the curvy exterior looks just like a beehive.

And of course, it also boasts a wood-fired hot tub.

Inside, you’ll discover more quirky features too.

Filled with antique, reclaimed or handmade bits, from Welsh chapel doors and snooker table slate worktops in the kitchen to a handmade table and hexagonal windows, there’s so much to discover in this small space.

One of my favourite things about The Hiveaway is that it is open plan.

One of you can chill in the king-sized bed, gazing up at the stargazing skylight, while the other cooks dinner.

Pretty romantic, right?

If you thought that was great, wait till you discover the idyllic setting.

Nestled in a 1.5-acre meadow overlooking the majestic Teifi Valley, just walk out onto your deck, through your gate, hop across the bridge, over the stream and pond and enjoy an expanse of wildflower meadows.

Hear geese fly overhead, walk up to the top field, sit and enjoy 360 views and all kinds of wildlife.

Sounds like a little slice of heaven to me.

12. Nant yr Onnen Cabin in  Llandovery

Next up is the cabin at Nant yr Onnen !

This cosy cabin houses a double bed, a wood-burning stove, a small kitchen area with sink, fridge, hob, kettle and toaster, and a bathroom with a dual-flush toilet, shower and handbasin.

Outside you’ll find a verandah with seating and chiminea, perfect for mornings enjoyed slowly.

The private wooden hot tub is secluded in its own secret garden.

This makes for one of the more intimate hot tubs on this list.

With a selection of books and games for you to dive into, you’ll never want to leave this cosy space.

But if you do decide to leave, you’ll be rewarded with a gorgeous large garden and access to some great local walks.

They start as soon as you step outside, with stunning walks in every direction.

Brambling Cross is a cabin with crackling campfires, canoeing and craft ale all on its doorstep.

It seems that the hosts, Ed and Tori, wrapped up all their favourite Cs together in one cosy place.

Set at the top of a hill in its own enclosed garden, this private getaway takes intimacy to a whole new level.

Beyond the beautiful split stable doors are an antique pine kitchen and a cabin bed which you can snuggle up in with the fire lit.

On rainy days you’ll be thankful that your hot shower is ensuite.

The wood-fired hot tub is lit up by fairy lights at night, making it all the more romantic!

And if you’re looking for something to add to your hot tub experience, why not head to the onsite brewery shop?

Selling local real ale and cider, it’s the perfect accompaniment to a night under the stars.

Finally, we’re going to finish off this list of glamping holidays with a hot tub in Wales with some huts!

They may be small but boy do they pack a punch. Private, cosy and intimate, The Charcoal Hut oozes romance.

This secret getaway for two is set in a little woodland field, not overlooked and yet within fifteen minutes walk from town and lots of places to eat.

The hut provides the ideal space for you to relax, and enjoy peace and quiet.

And most importantly, indulge in some together time.

Whether you fancy heading out into the Brecon Beacons on a long walk together or cosying up inside or in the hot tub and forgetting everyone else for a few days, the choice is up to you!

The Charcoal Hut really goes the extra mile to think about the special touches.

With board games and plenty of blankets inside the hut, as well as special hampers made just for you, hosts Dinah and John go out of their way to make your stay a special one.

16. Sennybridge Shepherds Huts in Brecon

Situated in the north of the Brecon Beacons, Sennybridge Shepherds Huts has glorious views, easy access to the national park and a tiny, tidy home that has been made with a lot of local love.

A labour of love for local builder Martin and his partner Diane, this hut was first conceived as a getaway for their own personal use.

But they quickly realised that their little home was just too good to keep to themselves.

Set in a field with deliberately untamed corners, such as a wildlife-rich pond, a meadow area and newly planted native fruit trees, there’s plenty to explore even within the perimeters of the field itself.

And as for the hut, it houses a double bed, a little kitchenette and its own shower room and toilet.

Perhaps my favourite part of this shepherd’s hut, though, is the raised deck it sits upon.

With a hammock, outdoor furniture and a Finnish-style hot tub, it’s the perfect spot to relax for hours on end and stargaze within the Dark Sky Reserve.

17. Wanderoo Truck in Brecon

Last but by no means least, we have one of the more unique glamping holidays with a hot tub in Wales. It’s so unique that it would have to have its own category.

But I thought I’d squeeze it in with the huts.

Now, I think I’ll start this one off by stating the obvious: look at those views!

Sat at the top of a steep hill, among the rolling hills of South Wales, you won’t find many views dreamier than the one from their hot tub.

Keen hikers will be in their element as the truck boasts views of Pen-y-Fan and the Black Mountains. And there are miles of outstanding hiking trails all around.

The truck itself is a converted horsebox with twin balconies, a hot tub and a huge king-size bed that you could just melt into!

Wanderoo stays warm and toasty all year round thanks to its sheep’s wool insulation and efficient wood burner.

But the truck is still light and airy with two sets of floor-to-ceiling glass doors letting in plenty of light.

Can someone please just take me here already?!

This Texas Glamping Property Near Austin Has Safari Tents With Wrap-around Decks and Is Next to a State Park

Outdoorsy Hill Country is tucked in the rolling Texas hills near the state's iconic wine trail.

If you need another reason to visit the Texas Hill Country , consider this: the rolling landscape is now home to a luxury glamping retreat with safari tents surrounded by wrap-around decks and a spring-fed lake. The new property, Outdoorsy Hill Country , is both the latest addition to the Texas Hill Country and the newest property in the Outdoorsy portfolio, an RV rental marketplace that is making a name for itself for its glamping-style retreats. 

Outdoorsy Hill Country is nestled in Stonewall, Texas, between Austin and Fredericksburg on 32 acres. The property is expansive, with a spring-fed lake, walking trails, and a grove of live oaks. The day starts and ends with one of Texas’ spectacular sunrises and sunsets — best viewed from the wrap-around deck enveloping each of the property’s 22 safari tents. 

“Our vision was to create an iconic destination that fuses rustic charm, immersive outdoor experiences, and refined Hill Country hospitality for thoughtful travelers from Texas and beyond,” Jeff Cavins, Outdoorsy's CEO, said in a press release shared with Travel + Leisure .

Jen Young, the co-founder and CMO of Outdoorsy, added, "We fell in love with Hill Country when we built a glamping tent for ourselves … we couldn't be more delighted to share this space with guests who are seeking out the restoration that time in nature provides.”

While nature may be the focus of a stay at Outdoorsy Hill Country, the highlight is the lodging. Each all-season glamping tent is surrounded by a panoramic deck and private fire pit.

Inside, there’s a king-size bed and a twin and trundle bed to sleep two to four people and full temperature control, with both heat and air-conditioning on tap. Rounding out the offerings are a fully equipped kitchenette and a private ensuite bathroom with a rainshower and plush robes.

Beyond the privacy of your secluded hideaway, you’ll find a handful of on-property offerings, including a cafe and bar with outdoor seating overlooking the neighboring Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and a menu that features juices, smoothies, and grab-and-go breakfast options in the morning and craft cocktails and local wines at night.

The live oaks provide shelter for the outdoor live music venue, while the country store sells everything you need to grill or assemble an afternoon picnic.

Further afield, guests can explore the Texas Wine Trail , which is on the doorstep of Outdoorsy Hill Country. (Plus, the Crown Hill Winery is right next door). In the neighboring towns of Luckenbach and Albert, there are historic dance halls, while the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park is just across the road. 

Outdoorsy Hill Country is now taking reservations for stays starting March 21. The property’s first round of guests will be treated to views of the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8.
