Songs About the Eiffel Tower

Are you an Eiffel Tower fan? Feeling nostalgic about Paris? Our teams have combed through entire databases of "la chanson française", or French chanson classics, to find the songs that immortalize Gustave Eiffel ’s masterpiece.

Not only has this historic and symbolic monument known throughout the world attracted artists to perform at the foot of its towering structure but it has also inspired countless artists to compose songs . The following song list, in chronological order, is a glimpse onto just how much the Eiffel Tower has influenced the music world .

  • In 1902 Félix Morteuil wrote, « Chant d’ballons , » (Balloon Seller) and along with his balloons flies up to the Eiffel Tower: « Here’s the Eiffel Tower...I’m going to Heaven...up there to see my idol again.”
  • In 1917 Robert Dieudonné and Roger Myra paid homage to the Tower with their song « Tu l’reverras Paname » (You’ll see Panama again): « You’ll see Panama, Panama, Panama, the Eiffel Tower, the White Square, Boulevard Notre Dame, and beautiful women...”
  • One of the most well-known French songs about the Tower was written by Charles Trenet in 1938, « Y’a de la joie » (There’s Joy): « There’s joy, the Eiffel Tower’s going on a walk, like a crazy gal who’ll jump feet first into the Seine...”
  • Mistinguett interpreted « La Tour Eiffel est toujours là » (The Eiffel Tower is Still There), a hymn to the Tower, symbol of a nation following the end of WWII.
  • In a very poetic tone, artist Michel Emer wrote, « Paris Tour Eiffel , » in 1946 that was sung by Jacques Elian. Rendering homage to the Tower: « Paris is the Eiffel Tower...Paris would never be Paris without it...”
  • In 1963 Cyrus Bassiak sang « Adieu ma vie » (Goodbye My Life): « Goodbye my life all dressed up in lace, under the shadow of the Eiffel Tower...Goodbye my life, I’ll never go back, I don’t regret anything...”
  • Jacques Dutronc’s 1968 single, « Il est 5 heures, Paris s’éveille » (It’s 5 am, Paris is Waking Up) also cited the Eiffel Tower: « The Eiffel Tower has got cold feet.”
  • Pierre-André Dousset and Pierre Porte composed « Lève-toi, chante avec moi » (Get Up, Sing with Me) in 1974: « It’s a new, lovely day and sunny...get up, sing with me...a day to paint the colors of the Eiffel Tower...get up, sing with me...a day to go up to seventh heaven...get up, sing with me.”
  • In 1974, Claude Lesmesle and Gilles Marchal imagined the capital without the Eiffel Tower in their title: « On a volé la Tour Eiffel » (Someone Stole the Eiffel Tower).
  • Nicolas Peyrac’s 1978 song « La Tour Eiffel » evokes nostalgia and memories: « The Eiffel Tower has existed for nearly 30 years...the Eiffel Tower has sometimes diffused the radio...the Eiffel Tower has been standing for nearly 100 years.”
  • In her 1990 hit, « L’Europe s’ennuyait » (Europe Was Getting Bored), Léo Ferré sang, « Paris carried her big golden cross forged by millions of goldsmiths...the Eiffel Tower gambled its ridiculous nostalgia.”
  • In 1994 Pascal Obispo sang « Je suis tombé pour elle , » (I Fell for Her), declaring his eternal love for the « Iron Lady”: « I fell for her, I’ve only eyes for her, my home, my Eiffel Tower, when my lovers have troubles...”
  • In 1997, Arthur H. imagines the Eiffel Tower taking off with his song « Tour Eiffel Sidérale » (Celestial Eiffel Tower).
  • Fabien Martin wrote, « Ma femme est plus grande que moi » (My Woman is Bigger Than Me) -- but what exactly was he talking about when he sang: « Oh you, Eiffel Tower...who hoisted me up...oh you, my grand lady, this immense love...it’s our last chance, it’s the soul’s greatness...”

Now you know what music to listen to when you'll visit the Iron Lady! Enjoy Paris Eiffel Tower  with Paris City Vision : book your tickets to discover this special feeling that has inspired so many artists to write songs about this architectural wonder...

The Earful Tower

Paris and France by Oliver Gee

A French song for every Paris arrondissement

paris tour eiffel song

What is the soundtrack of Paris? Perhaps it’s the sound of the Seine river flowing, a crisp croissant getting bitten into or the sound of an espresso cup hitting a saucer on a sprawling Paris cafe terrace. Those are the sounds of Paris that we all know and love but when it comes to the soundtrack of Paris, there’s a more definite answer and it has been captured by our house musician Pres Maxson.

As part of our Paris Countdown series, we’ve made 20 podcast episodes and 20 short videos around Paris, one for every arrondissement. And Pres Maxson made all of the music to go with it. He joins the podcast this week to talk about how he remade 20 classic French songs, and played ALL the instruments for each piece.

The Earful Tower Podcast Episode

This podcast was recorded live online with Patreon members in the audience. You can become a member here to watch the replay of the audience Q&A that followed the podcast recording.

The full soundtrack: The originals

In no particular order, here are the 30 original songs sampled in the podcast season. Yes, 30. Sometimes there were two or three songs mixed together for the soundtrack by Pres. Note: These are all the original songs. Currently, if you want to hear the re-imaginings by Pres you’ll have to go through all the podcast episodes and YouTube videos. We are working on a CD that we will be gifting to Patreon members in time for Christmas.

The French song for each arrondissement

Here’s the full list, in order. Note: As mentioned above, some arrondissements featured a medley of several songs. And to understand why each song “fits” with each arrondissement, some are quite obvious. The Notre Dame is in the fourth district, of course. The Champs-Elysées is in the eighth. But to understand them all, you’ll have to listen to the 20 podcast episodes, or of course read the liner notes in our upcoming CD. Three examples of the song/arrondissement connections are listed further down.

Pres’ Top 3 arrondissement soundtracks

When asked for his favourite songs for the season, Pres chose the following three. This is a good glimpse into how deep he sometimes went! (And don’t forget to follow Pres on Instagram, below).

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pres Maxson (@presmaxson)

The 5th: Historic Paris soundtrack

In third place is the soundtrack for the 5th arrondissement. In the words of Pres:

“For the fifth, it’s “Place de la Contrescarpe,” by Jacques Brel. And on a personal note, this was my favorite arrondissement as a teenager visiting Paris, and my first CD of French music was Johnny Hallyday, so I give a little nod to his “Souvenir, Souvenir” in the middle of the full version. Then I may have gotten carried away on the “memories” theme and included a bit from of Zaz’s “si jamais j’oublie” before coming back to the “fifth” theme with a short quote from Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five” and Jacques Dutronc’s “il est cinq heures paris s’éveille.”

You can hear much of the song by clicking on the video below.

More to find in the 5th arrondissement.

The 7th: Paris When it Glitters soundtrack

In second place comes the 7th arrondissement soundtrack. In the words of Pres:

“The song is “La Tour Eiffel est Toujours Là” by Mistinguett. For the 7th arrondissement, I added an opening piano chord that is… you guessed it, an arpeggiated 7th. Then, the piano intro is actually the song “The Girl Who Stole the Eiffel Tower,” a super short tune by Frank Sinatra as heard in the movie Paris When it Sizzles. And since this is the current home arrondissement of the Gees, in the middle I added a little section featuring the chord progression G major 7th, and then two E minor 9ths, essentially baking ‘Gee’ right into the music, in case there was any doubt about which arrondissement the Gees currently call home.”

You can listen to it by clicking on the video below.

More to find in the 7th arrondissement.

1. The 1st arrondissement: The Best of Paris soundtrack

And finally, his overall favourite soundtrack across the entire season is … the first arrondissement. In the words of Pres:

“An epic finale needs an epic soundtrack, so I mashed up a series of legendary Paris songs by an inarguable list of legendary performers and composers. We started way back on episode one of the countdown in the twentieth with Edith Piaf, so it’s only fitting that she kicks off our finale with my take on her song, “Paris,” followed by Charles Trenet’s “La Romance de Paris,” Charles Aznavour’s “J’ai Vu Paris,” Cole Porter’s “I Love Paris,” and finishing off with Maurice Chevalier’s “Paris Sera Toujours Paris.” It’s a veritable Mount Olympus of songs about the city if there ever was one, where the musical gods of Paris sit side by side, smiling down on every sidewalk café table, every person strolling the seine, or picnicking in a park.”

More to find in the 1st arrondissement.

That’s all for now! If you’d like to find more from Pres, you can check out his Instagram  here , and his books are on Amazon  here . To listen to all of his Paris Countdown soundtracks, you can watch the rest of the arrondissement videos on our YouTube channel . If you want more French songs for the 18th, for Montmartre specifically, you can just tune in to Radio Montmartre! https://www.radiomontmartre.fr

They do repeat most of the songs, but it still really fun to hear what might have been played live in Montmarte and Pigalle…

Famous Songs About Paris

Famous songs about Paris

There are innumerable songs about Paris but these are my favorite in no particular order.

They include a mix of Electronic, Pop, Jazz, Folk, and many others. These Paris songs are guaranteed to spark the love, passion, and hope inside you every time you think or listen to them. Pick up your speaker now and let’s jam together.

1. J’ai Deux Amours by Josephine Baker

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 1930 | Genre: Dance/Electronic

While the title of this song may leave you wondering if Josephine Baker is torn between two lovers, she’s actually singing about how she is torn between two cities.

On one hand, is the city she resides in and calls home, Manhattan. On the other hand, is Paris, a city she has not been to yet but dreams of visiting. She describes Paris and talks about how it has left her spellbound.

This song embodies the effect Paris has on everyone, and how it leaves one and all mesmerized by everything about it.

It also alludes to the dream most people have of visiting the City of Lights that they have only heard so many things about, at least once in their life.

2. La Vie En Rose by Édith Piaf

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 1946 | Genre: Pop

Édith Piaf was a French cabaret singer and was widely regarded as France’s national chanteuse.

This song is probably the most famous among Paris chansons (songs). While, in this song, Édith does not actually talk of Paris, it embodies love hence its association with the City of Love.

It is a slow, romantic, and hopeful rendition in which Édith talks about how we experience love initially through rose-colored glasses, and that’s how we should see the world as well.

She encourages everyone to see the beauty, the positive and exciting side of life, comparing it to the first few moments when you fall in love.

3. I Love Paris by Cole Porter/Ella Fitzgerald

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 1953 | Genre: Jazz

I Love Paris is one of the popular songs about Paris. It was first sung by Cole Porter in 1953 followed by other famous personalities like Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, among others.

The song describes exactly that, why the singer loves Paris. He talks about how he loves everything about the city, across all seasons – like timeless love.

Whether it be a fair season or an unanticipated season, he loves Paris regardless.

4. Bonjour, Paris! By Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire, and Kay Thompson

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 1957 | Genre: Jazz

Bonjour, Paris! is a song from the 1957 rom-com musical movie, Funny Face . This song showcases all the popular spots in Paris like Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Petit Palais, Montmartre and even the street, Rue de la Paix which is Paris’ famous shopping street.

Audrey is shown to be someone who has been longing to come to the city to see its sights, among other things.

Her dream eventually comes true when a guy from the cast influences his boss to shoot in Paris.

The picturization of this musical movie scene shows the cast going around the city admiring these places.

5. April in Paris by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong

paris tour eiffel song

The first rendition/performance of April in Paris was by Freddy Martin in 1933 for the Broadway musical, Walk a Little Faster .

It became such a hit that it was covered by Sauter-Finegan Orchestra in 1952, making it even more successful.

From thereon, multiple jazz singers have covered it including Count Basie in 1955, whose performance was then inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and Ella and Louis two years after that.

The song talks about springtime in Paris and the feelings and visuals associated with it. It is a hopeful song that will transport you to a picturesque scenario.

6. Non, Je ne regrette rien by Édith Piaf

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 1960 | Genre: Jazz

This is probably the 2nd most famous song by Édith Piaf, and on this list of the best songs about Paris, after  La Vie En Rose .

Like the earlier song by her, the subject of this one too isn’t Paris but, since France’s national idol is singing it, one can connect it to the city and its people.

The song’s title translates to “No, I regret nothing.” It talks about how one should be hopeful, despite the adversities faced.

In good times and bad, you have to have a positive outlook and not regret anything you did or any path that you chose.

7. Les Champs-Elysée by Joe Dassin

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 1969 | Genre: Jazz

As the song begins, few truly recognize it but, once it reaches the chorus, everyone sings along.

This song personifies the broadest and most beautiful avenue in Paris, Les Champs-Elysées.

The boulevard is lined with numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops attracting large crowds, thus making it the busiest street in Paris.

The singer celebrates this avenue and talks about the various kinds of people who make their way here.

Today, every year, on Bastille Day (July 14th), France’s national day, the largest military parade goes through this avenue.

Another reason why it’s famous besides housing popular fashion brands is that it’s the final stretch of France’s famous cycling race, the Tour de France.

8. Where Do You Go to (My Lovely) By Peter Sarstedt

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 1969 | Genre: Folk

This song has Peter Sarstedt singing to his childhood friend, Marie Claire, who grew up in poverty in Naples.

She now lives in Paris while wining and dining with the rich and famous. He asks her thoughts and feelings when she’s alone, not living a luxurious life.

Thus alluding to the fact that she might not have been as happy and content as she portrayed to the outside world.

Peter, although not French, sings about many French references like Boulevard St. Michel and Sorbonne, and personalities like Picasso, Zizi Jeanmaire, and Sacha Distel.

9. Paris by Faith Hill

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2005 | Genre: Country

When you listen to  Paris (which is off the album fireflies), it might seem like a love song, but in actuality, that is far from the truth.

When it was first played for her by the songwriters, Faith Hill also thought it was a love song. They let her believe that for a while.

However, the story goes that the 3 songwriters took a train to Paris from London on Bastille Day.

The anticipated celebratory day (joie de vivre) turned out to be a gruesome one when a fight broke out while the trio was waiting for a cab.

Verges, one of the 3, got knocked out cold with a broken nose and a bloody face.

When he came around, he was in an ambulance being taken to the hospital while his friends didn’t know where he was transported to and had no way of contacting him. Eventually, they returned to London and wrote this song.

10. Crazy Paris by Horny United

Released: 2008 | Genre: Electronic

Like most electronic numbers, Crazy Paris is not big on lyrics and falls short in that department.

There’s no history or story behind this 2008 number. In fact, the singer also has a pretty low social profile. I guess he lets his music do the talking.

The song has a cool head-bobbing tune with alternating segments of catchy beats and lyrics.

The only linkage to Paris is in the name and the recurring occurrence of the word in the minimal lyrics.

11. Paris (Ooh La La) By Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2010 | Genre: Rock

This rock n’ roll number is a sexy, sassy one in which Grace practically says that she wants to get down and dirty in a lyrical manner.

The chorus is repetitive, but the guitar strums more than make up for it. The song will make you want to crank up the volume and get pumped up like a rock star.

Such is the beat and rhythm of this song that it was covered by numerous people across different talent shows like The Voice and The X Factor.

Pamela Anderson even danced to this number in Dancing with the Stars.

12. La Seine by Vanessa Paradi & M

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2011 | Genre: Pop

La Seine is a chanson taken from an animated movie, Un Monstre à Paris (A Monster in Paris).

In the film, the main character, Lucille, a cabaret singer, performs on stage in a song and dance manner to the tunes of a guitar and an accompanying band.

The guitar-playing character, who eventually sings with Lucille, is the monster referenced in the movie’s title.

While the movie is set in 1910, when the main river that runs through Paris, La Seine, had flooded the streets of Paris and its surrounding towns, the song is an ode to the river itself.

13. Paris by Lana Del Ray

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2012 (leaked) | Genre: Alternative Pop

This 2012 song by Lana Del Ray was actually recorded a year earlier but didn’t make it to her chart-topping 2 nd album, Born to Die. It leaked as a solo but didn’t gain as much fame as the album.

The song talks about how the monotony of life has gotten to her and her significant other.

She feels the answer is for him to take her to Paris, so that’s what she asks him to do.

She then narrates how crazy and wild their life could be there. She also references famous Parisian monuments like Sacré-Cœur and Tour Eiffel, also mentioning Yves Saint Laurent.

14. Paris by Little Dragon

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2012 | Genre: Alternative Indie; Dance/Electronic

Paris by Little Dragon is a sad pop song about moving on and celebrating the departed instead of letting their loss absorb you.

The band’s lead singer, Yukimi Nagano, sings about a long-distance friendship and how it was tragically cut short by the death of her friend.

It is about going through the loss of someone close and how she decides to go to Paris, where their rendezvous was supposed to happen.

She feels somewhat weird experiencing things without the person, but ultimately, she knows she has to move on, so that’s what she strives to do.

It is probably the saddest song about Paris, at least on this list, though it doesn’t sound like that if you just listen to the music without knowing the lyrics.

15. Little French Song by Carla Bruni

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2013 | Genre: Pop

This song has been sung by singer turned model, Carla Bruni, who then became the French First Lady (now former).

She sings about how when everything is going wrong, singing a little French song will make things better. This is an upbeat number, so it might genuinely work in uplifting your mood.

Through the song, she takes you around Paris – Pigalle, Saint Louis Island, Tuileries, and Bastille.

She also talks about French poets, writers, and singers, even referencing Édith Piaf. She says they may not be like Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald, or Louis Armstrong, but they are famous worldwide nonetheless.

16. Paris by Night by Bénabar

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2014 | Genre: Pop

As the song title suggests, Bruno Nicolini, or Bénabar as he is known, talks about Paris at night .

His French chansons often have him singing about daily life events; some funny, some cynical.

In this foot-tapping song, he describes how Paris is bustling at night. People are going out for dinner to bistros and restaurants, heading for an after-work drink to bars, and making their way to clubs to dance the night away.

His friends invite him to do the same with them. And even though he is initially hesitant, he ends up going anyway and having a lovely time.

17. Paname by Slimane

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2016 | Genre: Pop

The name, Paname, is a Paris nickname given to Paris and its suburbs. In this song , Slimane sings about how he wants to go to Paris with his backpack, songs, and dreams.

He dreams of taking his mother to Paris so that she can hear him sing there.

He talks about how he thinks the Parisian people are and how their way of life is. He then goes on to relate himself in those same situations. He visualizes them (him & his mother) there and how they would go on about their day.

Paname is a song about hope, and how everyone has dreams to make it big in a city they dream of tasting success in.

18. Paris by Sabrina Carpenter

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2018 | Genre: Pop

In Paris , Sabrina sings about her love for the City of Love, how it is incomparable and romantic. Could we disagree? In reality, too, Sabrina has been a fan of the city and had dreamed of visiting it for years. (I mean, can you blame her?)

Those feelings of admiration and longing have reflected in the song. But in fact, she wrote this song after her trip to Paris for her show, and successively, her 18 th birthday that she spent there.

She talks about leaving town and going to Paris to find love but eventually realizes that she already has it. To add a little Parisian charm to it, she even sings the bridge in French.

19. Bienvenue Chez Moi by Bigflo & Oli

paris tour eiffel song

Released: 2018 | Genre: Dance Electronic

Through Bienvenue Chez Moi , Bigflo and Oli take you not just through Paris but through the entire country of France.

They talk about the beautiful cities of Bordeaux, Normandy, Marseille, and Strasbourg, among others. It’s like taking a tour de France.

Be it the French valleys, beaches , towns, or cities , you can visualize it all and picture yourself living out the lyrics.

If you ask me, this is probably one of the best songs about Paris if you want to know about France, its wonderful places, and what each of them is famous for.

Monumental Eiffel Tower: a sound and light show for the 100th anniversary of Gustave Eiffel's death

Le Musée de la Marine à Paris et ses collections permanentes - Tour Eiffel Trocadéro

It's already 100 years since Gustave Eiffel passed away. The engineer, who died in Paris on December 27, 1923, was involved in the construction of a number of legendary monuments, including the Garabit Viaduct, the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Saigon Post Office and, of course, the fascinating Eiffel Tower , for which the City of Light has been famous since its inauguration on March 31, 1889. To mark the centenary of Gustave Eiffel's death , the legendary Iron Lady has teamed up with Monumental Tour to present an incredible sound and light show , broadcast on television and social networks during the festive season, and more specifically on December 27 , the day of the illustrious French engineer's death. Monumental Tour is the flagship project of dj-producer Michael Canitrot . Blending electro music and heritage, the Monumental Tour has been criss-crossing iconic sites in France and beyond since 2019, offering stunning sound and light shows captured within veritable architectural treasures. After Arras, Strasbourg, Angers, a memorable live show at the Château de Vincennes , the Baleines lighthouse on the Ile de Ré, Mont Saint-Michel, the Cité de l'Automobile in Mulhouse, the Château de Pierrefonds, the Château de Chantilly and the Palais-Royal , Monumental Tour is now tackling France's most emblematic monument, the Eiffel Tower. The program? A sound and light show specially designed for the 100th anniversary of Gustave Eiffel's death. Entitled "Monumental Tour Eiffel ", the show will offer viewers "a rediscovery of the monument through a unique fusion of heritage, electronic music and artistic performances ", according to a press release issued on December 14.

At a press conference held on November 21, the organizers revealed a little more about the recordings (without an audience) for this show. Filming took place over two nights (Monday night November 20 to Tuesday night November 21, then Tuesday night November 21 to Wednesday night November 22) from 1am to 6am. The photos taken by Internet users and relayed by our colleagues at France Info and Le Parisien bear witness to this.

In addition to Michael Canitrot 's DJ set behind the decks, accompanied by the light show, the organizers of "Monumental Tour Eiffel " have also announced the participation of several guest artists, including pianist and DJ Yann Dulché , the " Spectre " choir, mezzo-soprano singer Yana Mann , and celebrated contemporary dancer Ablaye Diop , who will stroll from the machine room to the top of the Eiffel Tower!

Last but not least, Philippe Torreton will be the voice of Gustave Eiffel at the event.

Take a Tour of the Chic Paris Apartment with Views of the Eiffel Tower on Food Network’s Next Baking Master: Paris

In the new Food Network series, premiering May 6, U.S. bakers travel to France to compete for the title of Next Baking Master

American cooks are saying bonjour to France in Food Network’s latest competition series, Next Baking Master: Paris .

Hosts Stephanie Boswell and Ludo Lefebvre are bringing 10 bakers to the City of Lights to learn, taste and bake French pastries. PEOPLE has an exclusive look at the first episode, which premieres on May 6. In it, the bakers tour the stunning Parisian apartment they will stay in after full days of croissants and macaroons.

The 10 competitors eagerly hop out of their cars to see the apartment. After pushing through grand entryway doors, they trudge up a beautiful, winding staircase — giving each other words of encouragement to make it upstairs with their large luggage.

“I’m sweating,” one contestant says. Another chef replies, “I think it’ll all be worth it.”

As soon as they open the doors, they learn it was in fact, worth it. The group awes at the sunlight-filled apartment with colorful artwork on the walls, wooden pillars in the living rooms and marble fireplaces.

“We are chic here,” says Paige, a chef from Brooklyn.

Food Network

The views may be even more stunning than the interior. Everyone takes turns admiring their unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower, which can be seen from their living room windows and from the balconies.

The contestants take a lackadaisical approach to choosing their specific rooms because they are all equally beautiful. Two chefs look out of the window to see a grandiose French street.

“Are you kidding me? I’m literally red,” says one chef, blushing from excitement.

For some contestants, being in France and competing on Next Baking Master: Paris is a massive milestone.

“This is kind of a dream for me, you know, being in Paris,” says Robert, a baker from Philadelphia. “You know, I grew up in a rough neighborhood in Philly and poor. It's so easy to be inspired here.”

To celebrate their abode and the start of the competition, the cast pops a bottle of champagne and clink their drinks for a “cheers” to Next Baking Master.

“May the sweetest one win,” one chef adds.

Every week, the 10 bakers will visit iconic pastry shops, like Ladurée, and be mentored by famous French chefs. Weekly baking challenges will send the lowest scoring chef back to America until a winner is crowned and given a full suite of kitchen appliances and baking equipment valued at $25,000.

Next Baking Master: Paris premieres May 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Food Network.
