Escape from nyc Tour
NYC has a vast METRO AREA that includes so many gorgeous venues, vistas and just plain fascinating places to visit. Few visitors ever get a chance to see these truly amazing sights. This is your rare opportunity to be able to experience what NY'ers have been able to experience for over 150 years - all in about 7 Hours. 3 different regions with 3 completely different vibes and sights. All stunningly different and all surprisingly beautiful. Pick up & Drop off included.
All of our tours are private - No other guests on board
We avoid crowds and crowded venues for a fully private experience
We follow all CDC recommended procedures
We use face masks and sanitize our tour vehicles regularly
We require our guides to regularly wash hands and we regularly check temperatures of all staff

Brooklyn Tour
Almost 3 million people who live in Brooklyn, the hippest part of NYC, must be doing something pretty darn interesting. Not to mention the architecture, history, art, food and fun contained in this massively diverse borough of New York City. Graffiti art to Egyptian mummies. Pizza perfection and meat in tube form (hot dogs) that defy comparison.

Downtown Manhattan Tour
At 390 years old, downtown Manhattan boasts some of the most culturally significant and exciting areas of New York City. The largest Chinatown outside of Beijing. 1892 style cannolis in Little Italy. The posh designer shopping of SoHo. Harbor views and the seaport. The hip bohemian landscape of the village. The man made canyons of Wall Street. A somber reflection at Ground Zero. More than enough memories to last a lifetime.

Uptown Manhattan tour
Glaciers. A word that is not usually associated with the Island of Manhattan. Much of Manhattan was formed during the little ice age 15,000 years ago. Stevie Wonder and James Brown got their start at the Apollo Theater. Ulysses S. Grant and Bono from U2 have made it their home. Central Park’s meadows and mountains. Hills as steep as San Francisco. Mansions within blocks of brownstone walk-ups. It will all stun you!

The tour was amazing and the best decision I made made when visiting NYC. Sheldon took us where we wanted to go and provided so many details, we learned A LOT. We had an amazing luxury minibus which comfortably fit three adults and 3 kids. We had a blast and Sheldon engaged all of us, including the kids!
Full of facts, history, humour and had the best ‘fillers’ that made our tour so much more interesting and memorable...Sheldon, you should be considered to be an ambassador to your city!!
Worth every penny. Our guide did an excellent job of showing us so many different interesting places in NYC. We hit all the main points, with several more unknown, but worthwhile stops along the way. Sheldon knows NYC like the back of his hand, and is full of interesting and relevant information about every stop we made.
This was a highlight of our NYC visit. We had Shelly as our guide and he did a terrific job. It was like tour with your favorite Uncle. We hit many of the highlights in the City and this was by far the best new york tour I’ve ever taken. We felt like a local the whole time.
Without fear of contradiction, this was the best new york tour by far I have ever had the privilege of being on. Our tour guide’s encyclopedic knowledge, his passion for his city and his entertaining delivery style meant that this was a day non-one on my tour group will ever forget. We saw everything we needed to see and quite simply it was outstanding. THANKS!!!

Maurita was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. She knows the City well. We had fun going to many great bars and clubs. She took us to many places we would not have found. She also listened to our desires and found us some great Jazz Bands. This tour is well worth it!

I fell in love with New York the moment I set foot here. It's been over 30 years now. I love this city so much that I became an NYC tour guide. I enjoy showing people different faces of NYC - from the bustling city of skyscrapers to the quiet streets of out-of-the-tourists-way neighborhoods. I love telling stories of people who made New York what is it - the self-made millionaires, famous writers, daring architects, beautiful and powerful women. I can show you major landmarks as well as secret spots and cozy old bars where you can feel NYC history. I can take you to places where sounds of jazz rule the night and people swing-dance - a dance which was born in Harlem, NY, and had swept the world with its infectious joy. I'm a licensed sightseeing guide with many years of experience. I'm truly fascinated with the unique history of New York City and love to share my passion for it. I've studied History of Art at Harvard Extension School (Cambridge, Mass) and New School (NYC) and took classes on NYC Architectural History at Cooper Union (NYC).

I am a New York City tour guide and have been doing bus tours for 14 years and walking tours for eight. I can easily do a standard tour on, say, Central Park, Greenwich Village, or the World Trade Center but I offer a general tour with many popular places in New York. I also have my own niche tour of "Titanic Sites in New York City". I like tour-guiding in the city because I am also a tourist and I like to feel the vicarious thrill of visitors. Being a tour-guide AND a tourist, I have traveled to Nova Scotia, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Anchorage, Cleveland, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, London, Liverpool, Belfast, Bangkok, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka, Yokohama, Nara, Mt. Kosaya, Mt. Fuji and many other places.

My name is Adam, and I’m a licensed tour guide here in New York City. With so many places to visit and an extensive subway system, New York City can feel overwhelming. There's nothing I love more than helping someone feel at ease and have a great experience exploring the amazing areas of New York. I offer private and fun full- and half-day neighborhood walking tours for families and small groups. With every tour, I aim to help people learn to navigate around town, hear great stories, capture wonderful photos, laugh a lot, and make amazing memories together. I am passionate, energetic, quick-witted, and love making people say "wow" at all the sites. I'm originally from Orlando, FL, but have lived in numerous places, including San Francisco, Atlanta, and even Sydney, Australia. Prior to becoming a guide, I worked for years helping well-respected non-profit organizations tell their stories and raise funds to support their critical work. For the past 10 years, my wife and I have called New York City home. We absolutely love living here and are always out exploring the city. It'll be an amazing day out in the city for you and your traveling companions. I can't wait to meet you.

Hello there i am jonathan and i'm so excited to share my new york city with you i have family roots in new york city stretching back over a hundred years, mirroring the classic immigrant experience from ellis island to the lower east side. this background has inspired an ongoing quest for the best of the city past and present, from the suspension cables of the brooklyn bridge to the hot pastrami at katz’s deli. i moved from the depths of jersey to manhattan’s morningside heights at 18 for college and have since split his time between tel aviv and new york city. i studied american history at columbia university under kenneth jackson, one of the all time great historians of new york city. after college i worked in finance before heading back to school in israel to study for an ma in archeology from bar ilan university. i currently guide tours in both new york and israel, depending on the season. i love exploring the city’s history, from the footprints of george washington to malcolm x, and discovering hidden gems from the best pizza slice to the coolest dive bar. new york city is an endless playground of culture, history, and energy where every day seems to yield a new adventure. .

Call me jen or jennifer for over 10 years, nyc guiding is my side hustle. while it's not uncommon for locals to have side hustles, little did i know that my love of nyc would change me on a cellular level. number one rule is no stress, no pressure. we are a team and we work together. big picture thinking is my goal. we will love new york city while loving each other. it's that simple. while many of my guiding years have been by foot, i am an experienced bike and bus guide too----don't worry, i am not the driver to walk nyc is to understand it best; soaking up its unexpected serendipity .

As a native New Yorker the constant thread through my years of NYC living has been a great love for my hometown and the values we embody. This led me to get a sightseeing license and share my passion by running and performing my own creation for the past 3 years : Downtown Sightseeing Theater. Not only do I get to show off areas of Manhattan most people (especially New Yorkers) don't normally go to, but I get to exercise my creative and theatrical muscles. I love the jolt of energy and excitement I feel when I see guests engaging in the mystery of the tour, or asking our femme fatale a saucy question, or something as simple as a guest telling me they learned something new. It's moments such as these that me want to share our tour over and over again. Any questions please ask and I hope to see you on a future tour!

My experience as a NYC tour guide spans the better part of a decade and has helped cement my reputation as one of the most sought-after tour guides in town. Indeed, I have had the honor of being named one of New York’s top tour guides. My exuberance, theatricality, passion and extensive knowledge of the city's history speaks for itself. I have a lifetime of exposure to the art of storytelling as a professional ballet dancer, actor and musician and I continue to grow in my abilities. You see, I am New York. My great-grandfather was the architect and musician to the King of Norway. His journey impressed me. My father was a prince of his tribe in Nigeria. His journey inspired me. My Grandmother was first generation Irish American. Her journey motivates me. And her parent's legacy begins a trail on Ellis Island. They all have a story to tell that lives through me. My fascination with immigration has been, in turn, the discovery of myself AND New York. As a true amalgamation of ethnicity, I am New York and my story, albeit specific, generically lives in the American dream. So what is it about New York? In discovering my own family history, I discovered the answer and it lies deep beneath the surface of the city, within the heart.

Hello! Welcome to my page and hopefully soon, New York! I am a born and bred NY Native, having grown up in Manhattan on the Upper West Side. The city, its people, food, neighborhoods, rich diverse history, cutting edge innovation, storied nightlife and world-renowned cultural treasures were my playground and classroom; and I am so grateful to have had this teacher. After University, I lived for three years in London and Paris - and then returned to my home town where I have been enjoying my work in Tourism and Hospitality ever since. I’ve been a professional guide for many years working for companies like Tui, Globus and Disney. I have lead groups, both large and small, that include students, adults, business professionals, and retirees from the U.S. and abroad. I love taking guests around my beautiful city, and re-discovering its majesty and wonder with visitors - this is truly a privilege. I excel at private tours and in sharing the magical experiences that can only be found in this dynamic and daunting city. Together, we will unlock it's secrets and discover why NYC, the star of so many memorable movies and novels, is such a beloved, romantic and exciting city. What do I do in my spare time? I write, act, garden and hike. I teach kids financial literacy in an after school enrichment program. I walk my wonderful dog in Brooklyn Bridge Park and I take advantage of the world-class museums and restaurants this great city has to offer. If you wish, I would be happy to work together and plan your perfect itinerary with a customized experience - or you may choose from one or more of my predesignated tour options.

Born and educated in Austria, I worked in fashion in Paris, London and New York. After leaving the fashion and advertising industry in New York, I made a career change to the tourism industry, which I have been involved with for the last 20 years. I’ve travelled with visitors throughout the United States, giving tours in major cities. In New York City — my hometown - I work as a local Tour Guide. I love the city because of its vibrancy, pulse and culture. Therefore, I want you to enjoy it through the eyes of a New Yorker. I welcome small groups for New York City walking tours - on foot, by taxi cab or bus - as per your preference. I provide an intimate picture of what New York City is all about by covering certain highlights such as Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Lincoln Center and Times Square. But I‘m always open to the wishes of the client. My aim is to enlarge knowledge and have a great time!

“ An excellent time! ”
We had a great time with Julia! Her tour was fun, lively, informative and we really felt the benefit of being shown round Central Park by a local.
Thank you, Elly! It was a pleasure spending the morning with you both. I am honored you included me in your New York City itinerary. All the best! Julia
“ So glad we booked the private tour with Julia ”
Planning a trip to NYC is no easy task. But planning our NYC private tour with Julia and a driver was the easiest and best decision we made. We saw so much in 4 hours and Julia and our driver were very accommodating with having some of our party with limited mobility. That didn’t slow us down and we learned a lot about the city has we saw it. Julia is incredibly personable, patient, and knowledgeable. You’ll have a wonderful time with her has you tour NYC. NYC was a trip filled with lots of memories, thanks to Julia and our driver.
“ Highly Recommend! ”
I cannot recommend Julia enough. I booked a VIP tour for my 2 elderly Aunts so that they would have a tour guide all to themselves who could go at their pace, rest when needed, snack when needed, and lead them from point A to point B. They both had so much fun with Julia. She was the perfect fit and was so knowledgeable. My Aunts were very pleased and would recommend her to anyone.
Dear Kristin, Thank you for your glowing review. Your Aunties were delightful and I was honored & grateful to help them find your grandfather’s name of The Wall of Honor. It was a fun day and I’m so glad to hear they were well satisfied! All the best, Julia
