  • 2024-03-07 2024-03-07

Welcome to Dublin, the vibrant capital of Ireland! If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to explore the city, Dublin pedal tours are the perfect option. Not only do these tours provide an exciting way to see the sights, but they also offer an eco-friendly and active experience. In this article, we’ll break down everything you need to know about Dublin pedal tours prices, ensuring you have all the information you need to budget and plan your trip accordingly.

1. Understanding Dublin Pedal Tours

Dublin pedal tours are bicycle tours with a twist. Instead of traditional bicycles, you’ll be riding on a specially designed pedal-powered vehicle known as a “pedal pub” or “pedibus.” These unique vehicles can accommodate a group of people and are equipped with pedals, seats, and a beer tap for those who want to enjoy a drink while exploring the city.

1.1 How Do Dublin Pedal Tours Work?

During a Dublin pedal tour, a professional guide will lead your group through the city, taking you to popular attractions, historical sites, and hidden gems. You and your fellow tour-goers will pedal together, allowing you to actively participate in the tour while enjoying the beautiful streets of Dublin.

1.2 Group Size and Duration

Most Dublin pedal tours accommodate groups of up to 15 people. The duration of the tour can vary, but it typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore various landmarks and neighborhoods.

2. Dublin Pedal Tours Prices

Now, let’s dive into the Dublin pedal tours prices, so you can plan your budget accordingly. The cost of a Dublin pedal tour depends on several factors, including the group size and the duration of the tour.

2.1 Group Size

The prices for Dublin pedal tours are often quoted per group, rather than per person. The larger the group, the higher the overall cost of the tour. Generally, the cost per group ranges from €150 to €300.

2.2 Duration

The duration of the tour also impacts the price. Longer tours may incur additional costs. Prices for a 1.5 to 2-hour Dublin pedal tour can range from €150 to €300, depending on the service provider.

2.3 Booking and Additional Costs

It’s important to note that while the base price often covers the tour itself, additional costs may apply. These may include drinks, snacks, and gratuities for the tour guide. Make sure to check with the tour provider and clarify what is included in the price to avoid any surprises.

3. How to Choose a Dublin Pedal Tour

With several tour providers to choose from, finding the right Dublin pedal tour can be overwhelming. To help you make the best decision, consider the following factors:

3.1 Tour Routes and Itineraries

Each Dublin pedal tour offers a unique route and itinerary. Some may focus on historical landmarks, while others explore the city’s vibrant pub scene. Research the available options and choose a tour that matches your interests.

3.2 Customer Reviews and Ratings

Check customer reviews and ratings of different Dublin pedal tour providers. This will give you insights into the quality of the tour experience and the level of customer satisfaction. Platforms like TripAdvisor and Google Reviews are great resources for this information.

3.3 Additional Services and Amenities

Consider any additional services or amenities provided by the tour company. Some may include complimentary drinks, onboard entertainment, or the option to customize the tour according to your preferences. These added perks can enhance your overall experience.

4. Booking a Dublin Pedal Tour

Once you’ve chosen the perfect Dublin pedal tour, booking is a breeze. Most tour providers offer online booking services through their official websites. Simply select your preferred date, time, and group size, and follow the instructions to confirm your reservation. Make sure to review the cancellation policy and payment methods accepted before finalizing the booking.

5. Tips for a Great Dublin Pedal Tour Experience

To make the most of your Dublin pedal tour, consider the following tips:

Upon arrival to O’Connell Street, you’ll all take a brief walking tour en route to one of the most important and significant pubs in Irish pub culture.

100% refund for cancellations within 24 hours of tour experience, 2. dublin coastal craft beer & seafood trail.

  • Departure:  Guinness Storehouse
  • Departure Time: Between 10:30 AM to 4:45 PM
  • Includes:  Tasting of 5+ local craft beers, sample various types of locally-caught seafood

We all know that beer and whiskey are Irish favorites, but did you know that the country also offers some of the best locally-caught seafood in the world? That’s right – today we’re going to venture through all kinds of picturesque places and fascinating stories.

The Dublin: Coastal Craft Beer & Seafood Trail Tour  is one of the more unique pub tours, incorporating culinary delights just as much as the local craft beers.

Meet up at the Howth Train Station, where you’ll greet your guide with the rest of your small group and head off! Howth is very close to Dublin but is still its own little town perfect for leisurely enjoying, escaping from the bustle of the capital.

As you explore this charming fishing village, you’ll learn about its bloody past, its 700-year-old castle, king’s landing, and much more!

At this point, you’ve been doing a bit of observing, watching the fishing boats pull in with the catch of the day, and even listening to some fisherman tales!

Now, it’s time to try a fresh selection of seafood, including Dublin Bay Prawns, gambas, mussels, oysters, crab claws, calamari, and Howth’s famous seafood chowder. The food is so flavorful, and the hospitality of the staff combined with the incredible scenery made it simply amazing.

Of course, we can’t forget learning about and sampling the local craft beers! Our guide was fantastic, offering all kinds of fun facts and explanations on the style and traditions behind each one.

What really made it that much more special, was our guide offering us a video of the entire tour afterward!

3. Personalized & Private Dublin Historical Pub Tour with a Local

  • Duration:  3 to 4 hours
  • Departure: Suffolk St, Dublin 2, D02 KX03
  • Departure Time: Between 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Includes:  Private and personalized experience 3-4 hours with a host, 2 drinks specially selected for you by your host, hotel meet-up (available on request for central location), walking tour between pubs once at Temple Bar and Rathmines, Uber from Temple Bar to Rathmines

One of the main reasons I find some people avoid tours, is because they aren’t sure they are going to like it. What if you could go on a tour completely personalized to what you and your party are interested in?

Well, with the Dublin Historical Pub Tour with a Local: 100% Personalized & Private Experience you can see Dublin’s pubs the way you want!

Meet up with your local guide at a central spot convenient for you, where they’ll begin to ask you any clarifying questions to further customize your tour.

For example, if you’d like to dive deeper into specific historical topics, or visit somewhere not typically on standard tours they can accommodate that. As it is a private tour, you’ll have a more intimate experience and really get a chance to connect with your guide.

Typically, you’ll start by exploring the streets of Temple Bar to find a pint that suits your tastes! After that, I recommend stopping at Dublin’s oldest pub, which is The Brazen Head that’s been serving up beer for over 160 years!

At this point you’ve had a couple pints, and may be looking for something livelier like a pub playing traditional live Irish music!

O’Donoghues of Suffolk Street is the perfect spot, where you can sip a drink while you enjoy the entire performance! No more walking is needed by now, so take an Uber over to Rathmines, which is a very popular neighborhood.

Here, you’ll find an array of popular locales with some of the best live music in the city! I felt like this tour was one of the best for experiencing the more “authentic” part of Dublin’s pub scene.

Oh, and don’t miss Slattery’s, which has been recommended by Chef Anthony Bourdain, Colin Fassnidge, and many other experts!

4. Dublin Pub Crawl

  • Duration:  4 hours
  • Departure:  14 Fishamble St, Temple Bar, Dublin
  • Departure Time:  Between 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Includes:  Private tour of traditional pubs, professional tour guide

We definitely recommend going out and getting a beer or whiskey every night when in Dublin, if not for the drink itself, for the atmosphere. The Dublin Pub Crawl Tour  transports you back in time, to a bygone era involving historic pubs, interesting stories, and much more.

While each tour does vary a little bit, you’ll generally get to visit 5 of the most important pubs in all of Dublin!

Just like all of the other tours, this one starts off in the evening by meeting your guide at Temple Bar. Your guide will ask you and your group questions about your interests to customize the experience to your party’s liking.

We may have arrived as strangers, but we quickly felt that our guide was a longtime friend who knew the city front and back!

For me, the highlight of the tour was the chance to visit one of Dublin’s most notorious pubs: The Stag’s Head.

Dating back to 1770, this storied pub retains its original Victorian-era charm, with an incredibly well-preserved interior, ornamental ceilings, and stained glass windows.

It really does make you feel like you’ve gone hundreds of years back in time, complete with a wooden stag’s head mounted right above the bar.

If you’re up for it you may stay there or go to another pub where you can enjoy some live traditional Irish music, though it’s not unheard of for impromptu music sessions to start up out of nowhere!

Discover Guinness (if you haven’t already) and learn about its background, as well as the stories behind each pub that you visit. Temple Bar is full of performers, and entertainment is never in short supply in the vibrant neighborhood of Temple Bar.

5. Traditional Dublin Pub Tour

  • Duration:  3 hours and 45 minutes
  • Departure:  The Spire, O’Connell Street Upper, North City, Dublin
  • Departure Time: 6:00 PM
  • Includes: Local taxes, Local guide, Professional guide, Live entertainment, Alcoholic Beverages

This is yet another delightful tour great for experiencing the taste of authentic Irish craft beer, Guinness, traditional Irish cuisine, whiskey, and even some live music to set the mood!

If you’re on a budget and would like to really get the biggest bang for your buck, the Traditional Dublin Pub Tour is a fantastic option. Whether you’re going with that special someone, a friend group, or the entire family, everyone is sure to find something they like here.

Your tour will start at 6:00 pm, which is just when things start livening up a bit. Meet your guide at The Spire on O’Connell Street, which is a towering, stainless steel monument standing almost 400 feet high (not hard to miss).

Once everyone is together, you’ll make a quick jaunt over to your first stop of the evening known for its amazing craft beer: Capel Street.

Here, you’ll learn about the 3 distinct styles of beer from local microbreweries, the different types of glasses, and the beer-making processes and their differences.

Next up, stroll on over to Strand Street, where you’ll check out a majestic Victorian establishment and try a pint of the classic Guinness.

It’s only appropriate to learn about the beer and brand, learning why it’s so much creamier and tastes unique from literally everything else.Mary Street is your next stop, entering the infamous Slatterys known for serving up the tastiest traditional Irish food of just about any pub.

Try a sample of a premium Single Malt Irish Whiskey as you learn about the massive whiskey distilling industry. Follow it up with a nice craft Irish gin and tonic before enjoying some traditional Irish music in the form of an enchanting live performance!

6. The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Pub Tour

  • Duration:  9 hours
  • Departure: Cork Hill, Dublin
  • Departure Time: 2:00 PM
  • Includes:  Air-conditioned vehicle, 6 Rural Traditional Pub visits, fully-guided tour, convenient Dublin City center Pick up & drop off location

I’m excited to share this next tour with you, because it’s something completely different from any other currently offered in Dublin! This 9-hour excursion is perfect if you’re looking for some peace and quiet as you’ll spend your day in the Irish countryside!

The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Pub Tour  is an intimate experience with a small group setting, enjoying rural pubs for delicious food, amazing drinks, and spectacular views.

At 2:00 pm, you’ll meet our guide and the rest of your group to board the air-conditioned coach you’ll be using for the day. There’s no time to waste, so you’ll start off towards the beautifully green Dublin Mountains, visiting 2 rural pubs along the way.

The Blue Light Pub is literally one of my favorite places on Earth, with friendly staff and locals, incredible views of the bay, live music, and perfectly-poured pints of Guinness.

Next up is Johnnie Fox’s Pub, which is the highest pub in the country, and also one of the oldest. The building’s exterior is so sweet and charming, though the interior features all kinds of diverse decor that’s sure to keep you entertained.

Then you will head to the Wisklow Mountains National Park, which is appropriately known as “The Garden of Ireland” with its neverending greenery and wildlife!

Arrive at the Glenmalure Lodge, nestled right into the heart of the longest glacial valley in the country with a cozy atmosphere, hard-working staff, amazing drinks (try the Irish coffee!), food, and gorgeous views.

At about the halfway point, you’ll even visit an old hunting lodge for a hearty meal to take a break from the pints of Guinness and glasses of whiskey.

Head down the hill to a little village where you can try the local offerings at a little country pub, followed by the incredible Harbour Bar which was actually voted the World’s Best Pub by Lonely Planet a few years back!

7. Pubs, Pints and History: Beer & Whiskey in Dublin’s Historic Pubs

  • Duration:  3 hours
  • Departure:  Suffolk St, Dublin 2, D02 KX03
  • Departure Time:  2:00 PM
  • Includes:  Local English-speaking guide, Expertly guided tour through 4 local pubs, Three 1/2 pints of beer and two whiskey tastings, Food tastings at 2 locations, enough for a light snack or meal

Calling all of my history buffs out there! We have the perfect tour for you: the Pubs, Pints and History: Beer & Whiskey in Dublin’s Historic Pubs .

Dive into the city’s vibrant history on a captivating journey through famous pubs and other locations to give you a better idea of how Dublin came to be what it is today.

After meeting up with your guide at a central location, you and your small group will embark on a trip to The Old Stand which covers a whopping 350 years of history!

In my opinion, it was the perfect way to kick things off, covering the political, social, and literary significance of the capital. This sit-down experience lets you relax and try a half-pint of locally-brewed lager, expertly paired with local cheeses and cured meats.

Continue on through the pedestrian-friendly streets of Temple Bar and arrive at one of the most popular family-owned pubs.

We were actually lucky enough to meet the pub owners before trying their signature whiskeys made right in the cellar underground!

This was quite a different experience from the first location, and it gave us more of an appreciation for the delicious spirit and the differences between the different types.

The Ha’penny Bridge Inn only deepened my affection for Dublin and whiskey, as known as a sanctuary for whiskey aficionados everywhere. We enjoyed different whiskeys in a private tasting room, where we learned in-depth knowledge about each type.

Finally, we arrived at The Lotts Cafe Bar, which melds local history with a passion for Guinness nicely. The atmosphere was just as warm and lively as the other places, making me realize I could never live in Dublin as I’d basically live at the pubs.

The 7 BEST Dublin Pub Crawl Tours + Information for Self-Guided Crawls

Affiliate Disclaimer

It is no secret that Dublin is a big drinking city and has fantastic nightlife; did you know that Dublin has over 700 pubs across the city? I remember thinking it was like Starbucks in America – one on every corner! And if you are looking to get the full Irish experience, you will likely want to do the best Dublin pub crawl tour (maybe even MULTIPLE Dublin Pub Crawls!) during your stay.

For those who are not much into drinking, I still recommend the experience of a Dublin pub crawl, just skip the booze! Pubs are a staple in Ireland and are really a part of the local Irish culture. Dublin pub crawl tours are a great way to explore the city, meet new people (hopefully hear some wild stories from the locals!), and most importantly to have fun while experiencing a unique Dublin activity.

🍻 JUMP STRAIGHT TO THE BEST DUBLIN PUB CRAWL TOURS 🍻

pin this guide!

What Is a Dublin Pub Crawl?

A Dublin pub crawl essentially entails visiting between 3-5 pubs (or more if you’re really ambitious and have the time!). Some Dublin pub crawl tours might have a theme to them, such as literary or music, and could include more information and/or theatrics. Otherwise, the most simple Dublin pub crawl would be to find a few pubs that interest you and map a route to hop between them.

What Is the Legal Drinking Age in Ireland?

The legal drinking age in Ireland is 18. Some places will check for an ID, but it is much more relaxed than some countries (such as America).

HOW to Do a Dublin Pub Crawl Tour and Where to Look For One

There are a few ways to do a pub crawl in Dublin. The first is to book a GUIDED pub crawl tour. If you are looking for someone to lead you between traditional Irish pubs and give you a bit more of the history or stories of each place, this will be the best option for you!

a pub full of people

Another option for Dublin pub crawls is to keep an eye on Facebook events or Meetup-type platforms. Often groups or local organizations will put together a more casual pub crawl. These are often larger groups that draw more locals looking to spend a night out meeting friends and moving from one place to another together. They are more common during holidays or special occasions such as Halloween or St. Patrick’s Day.

Last, you can always put together your own list of pubs in Dublin that interest you and have a go at creating your own DIY, self-guided Dublin pub crawl!

Below I will share my list of best paid, guided Dublin pub crawl tours, along with my favorite pubs and nightclubs that I enjoyed visiting while living in Dublin.

#6 Guinness Storehouse and Jameson Whiskey Distillery Tour

COST: Starts at $108

LENGTH: 4 hours

➡️ CLICK HERE TO BOOK YOUR GUINNESS STOREHOUSE AND JAMESON DISTILLERY TOUR

The Guinness Storehouse tour is a self-guided tour of Dublin’s most popular attraction. I must have gone on the tour 5 or more times during my few months of living in Dublin because I wanted to take every guest that visited me. I never got bored of going and learned something new each time!

The tour walks you through the brewing process and history of Guinness, which takes you through some important Irish history as well. The tour ends at the sky-high “Gravity Bar” where you can take in 360-degree views of Dublin. There’s really nothing else quite like this bar in the whole city! Plus, you get to enjoy a free pint of Guinness while you take in the incredible view.

Guinness Time at the Guinness Factory Tour

The Jameson Irish Whiskey Distillery Tour is also one of Dublin’s popular tours. It varies enough from the Guinness tour for both to be incredibly interesting and unique tours, even if you don’t like the taste of either beer or whiskey! The Jameson tour gives you a comparative whiskey tasting as well as a complimentary Jameson whiskey drink.

These are hands down my favorite tours/museums as an alternative to a Dublin pub crawl tour, and I highly recommend securing your tickets in advance so you don’t miss these popular attractions. The link below will give you admission to both tours PLUS timed skip-the-line passes – an incredible offer since the lines can last hours for those that wait!

This tour takes you through some of the best, local Howth pubs and restaurants where you will sample at least 5 local craft beers as well as an abundance of locally caught seafood.

coastal city of Howth outside of Dublin

This tour is best if you want to hear the history of Howth and be a part of a guided tour to make the most of your time, otherwise, it is easy enough to wander around the town and nature trails yourself.

Howth is easily accessible from Dublin by a short ride on the DART (about €6 each way and 25-30 minutes) from the Dublin Connolly station or on Dublin Bus 31 (about €5-6 round trip and 35 minutes).

Guided tours are a fantastic way to dive deeper into the history, culture, and traditions of Irish pubs. If you are looking for some additional recommendations of pubs to try, or want to attempt to create your own Dublin pub crawl, here are some of my top recommendations.

Top 50 BEST Things to Do in Dublin at Night

Favorite Pubs for the Best Self-Guided Dublin Pub Crawl

I found so many pubs in Dublin (it’s truly a city of pubs) that I can hardly remember them or keep them straight! There is a pub that matches the need of just about every type of person, including casual and non-drinkers too. You will find pubs in Dublin that have traditional Irish music and dance, pubs where you can play board games, dance pubs, gay-friendly pubs, the list goes on and on!

What Is the Most Famous Pub in Dublin?

The Temple Bar is the most famous pub in Dublin. If you have ever seen an image of a Dublin pub, you likely saw a photo like the one below of the Temple Bar.

1. The Temple Bar (Pub and Area)

Temple Bar in Dublin, Ireland

This is arguably the most popular, and most touristy pub in Dublin. The Temple Bar is both a stand-alone pub, and the surrounding area located near the city center that has a high concentration of pubs, shops, and restaurants (which confused me for a while when I first moved to Dublin).

The Temple Bar is also popular because it offers Dublin’s largest collection of rare whiskeys– over 450 different varieties! Plus it’s always full of people having a good time on any day of the week.

I do think you still have to hit this tourist spot just to experience it, and you likely will find yourself in the area anyway while you’re exploring the city center.

A few of my other favorite Dublin pubs in the area that I recommend hopping to are Bad Bob’s and Fitzsimons .

A Few Other Popular Dublin Pubs to Crawl:

2. whelan’s pub.

This is a great dance pub with several stages throughout that play different music and often have dancing.

3. Doyle’s Pub

This pub is still in the city center but is lesser-known. It’s a nice place for food and a drink during the day and turns into more of a dance pub at night.

a pub with empty bar stools

4. The Camden Pub

A sports pub, it has large screens and is a lot of fun for Irish game days. It is located on Camden Street which is another area of Dublin with a good amount of fun, unique bars. If you are looking to hop between pubs just keep walking down Camden Street.

5. O’Reillys Pub

Known for their unique, “candlelit gothic bar” this Dublin pub is great for the character– and their cheap beers.

a gothic style pub

6. Sheehan’s Pub

Located on Grafton Street, it is surrounded by stores. Sheehan’s is perfect if you want to stop for a pint while getting some shopping done. It is also known for having great food.

7. Brazen Head

This is another touristy place because it is the oldest pub in Ireland. It has a very traditional Irish feel to it and is good for food and beer. It has a nice outdoor area so this is a good one to visit on a sunny day. Plus it’s fun to say you’ve been to the oldest pub in Ireland!

beers on tap, Guinness, etc.

8. Cassidy’s Pub

This pub has board games such as Jenga or Guess Who, to add an extra layer of entertainment for you and your friends beyond the pints!

Best Dublin Pub Crawl Routes

As far as choosing a Dublin pub crawl route goes, I recommend starting by picking a list of 3-5 pubs that are within a roughly 5-10 minute walk of each other. From there, you can map out where you want to start and end in relation to your accommodation or the next place you are trying to get to.

In most cases, I would say the best place to start is at the Temple Bar and work your way out of the city center from there. The easiest way is to walk along Camden Street, there are many great pubs along this route. Starting at the Temple Bar gives you a taste of the large and crowded touristy-type pubs, and then you can branch off into some of the smaller, more niche pubs.

Best Drinks to Try During Your Dublin Pub Crawl Tour

a pint of Guinness in Dublin, Ireland

1. Guinness

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Dublin pub crawl if you didn’t try a pint of Guinness! This delicious stout is a staple of Irish drinking culture, and for good reason. Every Dubliner and tourist alike can confirm that Guinness tastes its best in Dublin. There is a freshness and quality of pour that just can’t be beaten in other countries.

2. Smithwick’s Beer

If you prefer a slightly lighter beer, Smithwick’s is a popular Irish red ale.

3. Bailey’s

Another popular Irish drink, Bailey’s Irish cream is a sweet and creamy liqueur that is perfect as a dessert.

4. Baby Guinness Shot

No, it is not a small Guinness – it just happens to look like one. A baby Guinness is typically a shot of Irish cream, coffee liqueur, and black Sambuca (licorice taste). It is sweet and way too easy to drink!

a cup of Irish coffee

5. Irish Coffee

Coffee with whiskey in it, and maybe a dollop of whipped cream on top. You could also ask for it with some Bailey’s in it for a bit of extra creamy flavor! This is the perfect drink to warm you up on a rainy Irish afternoon.

6. Irish Whiskey

Another classic Irish drink to try during your Dublin pub crawl. Irish whiskeys worth trying include Jameson, Bushmills, Connemara, or Teelings.

7. Rock Shandy (Non-Alcoholic)

A refreshing Irish drink that is a mix of sparkling orange and lemon.

How Much is a Pint of Beer in Dublin, Ireland?

A pint of beer in Dublin averages about €5. In the more touristy areas (yes, like Temple Bar) a pint could even go up to €7 or €8 depending on what you order. Though typically a pint of Guinness hovers around €6 or below at most places you go across Ireland.

🍻 TIP: When you “cheers” in Ireland, you say “ sláinte “. Pronounced a bit like “slawn-cha” and means “health”.

Best Night/Dance Clubs in Dublin

Dublin has a good handful of nightclubs if you are looking to take your Dublin drinking experience to the next level and go beyond a typical Dublin pub crawl tour. Dublin’s dance clubs are always full of young Irish students and young adults looking to have a fun night!

Most of Dublin’s popular nightclubs are found on Harcourt Street. So when in doubt, just walk down Harcourt and look for the best line to hop into. Plus, try looking out for Dublin club deals online for reduced entry fees and to learn about what events might be happening while you are in town.

a blue lit night club

A note: I do actually highly recommend sticking to mostly trying out different Dublin pubs. Especially if you are short on time in Dublin and only have a few nights. Nightclubs will be nightclubs pretty much anywhere in the world. While they’re still very fun in Dublin, each pub has a bit of its own character and will give you a much more fulfilling Irish cultural experience!

1. Dicey’s Garden Club

This popular nightclub is always busy and draws a fun international crowd. The drinks are some of the cheapest in the city (€2 pints and wine some nights) and there’s a live DJ every night playing a mix of Latin and European hits. One of Dicey’s better-known features is the huge beer garden right outside of its 2 dance floors.

2. Copper Face Jacks (Coppers)

Coppers is another great, standard dance club to get a sense of Dublin’s nightlife. It has multiple dance floors, is open late, and draws young crowds. It is one of the most popular nightclubs in Dublin and always has some sort of deal or event happening.

The ONLY Checklist You NEED for a Trip Abroad

Even after traveling the world… I STILL use this list before every trip!

3. The George

This club will certainly not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it was one of my absolute favorites! It is an LGBTQ nightclub with fun, pop vibes and a friendly atmosphere. Beyond the great dancing that is always happening, The George will often have karaoke or drag nights that are hugely entertaining and draw some of Dublin’s most talented performers.

nightclub

4. The Grand Social

A unique circus-themed venue known for its friendly atmosphere and live music. It typically features more gigs and performers and is a bit smaller and more intimate of a crowd than some of the other Dublin nightclubs.

This is a unique venue with a little bit of something for everyone. You can hang out on the dance floor or outside under the heaters in the outdoor beer garden. It has a great atmosphere with occasional live music and multiple rooms to find your right vibe for the night.

Your guides will greet you at your Dublin Hotel for a transfer out west, through the rolling midlands to the wild and mountainous coast. Set off on our opening ride after a safety talk and lunch in a traditional Irish pub, winding our way around the many small roads called boreens that characterize the southern coast of the Dingle peninsula. Pass beautiful coves and castle ruins before rolling into the quintessential Irish village of Dingle. We’ll get right into it with tonight’s private brewery tour!

Meals : Lunch / Dinner Destinations : Dublin, Dingle Accomplished : 13 miles / 21 km, elevation gain: 968 feet / 295 meters Longer Option : 22 miles / 35 km, elevation gain: 2,378 feet / 725 meters Accommodations: Dingle Benners Hotel or Green Mount House

Soda Bread and Slea Head

Following a relaxed Irish breakfast, we hit the road to explore the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. This is Gaeltacht country where the Irish language is still widely spoken as a first language and culture and traditions remain strong. Our ride takes us west past a fascinating array of ancient sites including Iron Age forts, beehive huts, inscribed stones, and historical churches. The Peninsula culminates at the dramatic Slea Head—Europe’s most western point. After lunch, we’ll try our hand at one of these traditions as we learn to bake Irish soda bread. This evening, there is time to explore the charms of Dingle Town itself, including its traditional music scene before heading out for a dinner at a celebrated seafood restaurant.

Meals : Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner Destinations : Slea Head, Ballyferiter Accomplished : 26 miles / 42 km, elevation gain: 1,000 feet / 305 meters Longer Option : 34 miles / 55 km, elevation gain: 1,312 feet / 400 meters Accommodations: Dingle Benners Hotel or Green Mount House

From the Gap of Dunloe to Lakes of Killarney

Today we hit all the highlights, including the Gap of Dunloe, a private boat journey across Lough Leane with a local legend, a 15th-century castle, and a National Park. After an hour-long transfer, our ride begins on the Ivearagh Peninsula, dominated by Magillycuddy’s Reeks—Ireland’s highest mountain range, also known as “the black stacks.” Pass through the iconic Gap of Dunloe, a narrow rocky opening in the heart of the peninsula that leads to the shores of Lough Leane. A memorable boat journey carries us through Killarney National Park to the front door of Ross Castle, poised on the Lakes of Killarney. From here, it’s only a short walk to your Killarney hotel.

Meals : Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner Destinations : Gap of Dunloe, Killarney Accomplished : 29 miles / 47 km, elevation gain: 1,781 feet / 543 meters Longer Option : 59 miles / 95 km, elevation gain: 2,198 feet / 670 meters Accommodations:  The Great Southern Killarney

Conquering the Ring of Kerry

Departing Killarney, we embark on the most challenging climb of the week. Through groves of twisted oaks, the road rises past the spectacular Ladie’s View to Moll’s Gap. Behind us is yesterday’s conquered Killarney National Park; on the other side of the gap lies one long descent to the south side of the peninsula and the picture-perfect village of Kenmare. We’ll arrive in time for the farmers market that fills the square every Wednesday with local crafts and delicacies. Tonight, choose from a wide range of top-notch restaurants in this renowned foodie village.

Meals : Breakfast / Lunch Destinations : Moll’s Gap, Kenmare Accomplished : 24 miles / 38 km, elevation gain: 1,250 feet / 381 meters Longer Option : 31 miles / 50 km, elevation gain: 1,250 feet / 381 meters Accommodations: Sheen Falls Lodge

The Beara Peninsula

Our final ride follows an easygoing route through the Caha mountains. We’ll bike into some idyllic countryside on virtually traffic-free roads—this peninsula is the least known in Kerry and truly a hidden gem. Stop for lunch at a quaint stone cottage with fantastic views and fill up on hearty, traditional fare. As we loop back to the hotel, hop off the bikes for a visit to a French chocolatier. An afternoon pick-me-up comes in the form of Benoit’s finest confections, and we’ll even have the chance to craft our own chocolates. This evening, join us for a farewell dinner and toast to a week of accomplishments over a bounty of local ingredients.

Meals : Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner Destinations : Bonane Accomplished : 18 miles / 29 km, elevation gain: 1,178 feet / 359 meters Accommodations: Sheen Falls Lodge

Farewell to Ireland

After a relaxing Irish breakfast, say your final farewell to the Emerald Isle. We will transfer you to Dublin city center or the airport where we bid you slán go fóill —until next time!
