Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie Announce Tour

By Matthew Strauss

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson

Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie have announced a co-headlining North American tour. The “Twins of Evil: The Second Coming Tour” kicks off in Detroit on July 11. It’s currently scheduled to conclude on August 29 at Irvine, California’s FivePoint Amphitheatre . Find their joint itinerary at Rob Zombie’s website ; check out the tour poster below. Marilyn Manson released their latest album, Heaven Upside Down , in fall 2017. Rob Zombie’s most recently studio LP ( The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser ) arrived in spring 2016. Back in 2012, Zombie and Manson embarked on the original “ Twins of Evil ” tour.

Marilyn Manson’s tour behind Heaven Upside Down was met with a rocky start, with Manson canceling dates after an “excruciating” onstage injury , and also offending fans after pointing an enormous fake gun at the crowd in San Bernadino, California. Last month, he abruptly ended a Long Island show early .

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson reveal another round of the Twins Of Evil tour

The madness returns! The Twins Of Evil are back for a 22-date summer tour

rob zombie marilyn manson tour

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson have announced another co-headline tour.

The pair hooked up for a run of North America shows last summer on The Twins Of Evil: The Second Coming Tour – and they’ve decided to do it all again.

This round is called The Twins Of Evil: Hell Never Dies Tour , and it’ll get under way at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore on July 9, and conclude at Gilford’s Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on August 18.

Tickets for the shows will go on general sale on Friday (February 22) at 10am local time.

To coincide with last year’s tour, Zombie and Manson collaborated on a cover of Beatles classic  Helter Skelter .

Speaking to  Rolling Stone  about the song, Zombie said: “We had been talking about doing something together for these shows – that he should come onstage during my set and we’d do a song. But we couldn’t think of what song.

“After we talked, later that night I was home and I just thought, The obvious song is  Helter Skelter . It’s so obvious that neither one of us thought of it! And then I figured, well, rather than us just doing it onstage, why don’t we take it one step further and record it and put a new spin on it?

Rob Zombie Marilyn Manson Twins Of Evil Tour

It’s shaping up to be a metal heavy summer with Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie announcing a North American co-headlining tour, kicking off 11 July in Detroit.

“Twins Of Evil: The Second Coming Tour”, a nod to their 2012 “Twins Of Evil Tour” will span almost 30 cities over the course of the summer and finish on 29 August in Irvine, CA. Pre-sale for tickets begins 19 March, with general sale to follow on 24 March.

Things have been rocky on the road for Manson while he promotes his latest album Heaven Upside Down . After cancelling tour dates due to a significant injury on stage in New York City back in October, the singer is back on the road to support his 10th studio release.

Def leppard share 40th anniversary edition of ‘pyromania’, megadeth announces ‘destroy all enemies’ u.s. tour.

Zombie also has music to promote, with the release of his career-spanning vinyl box set that went on sale on Friday (2 March), that collects all his solo releases. His last studio LP was 2016’s The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser and he’s announced a new live album on 30 March.

While the two experienced some tension on the road in years past, it appears it’s all behind them, with Manson saying on social media: “Twins love each other in the end. MZ” and Zombie echoing the statement writing, “So this happening again. Good times”.

Hear Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie Cover Beatles’ ‘Helter Skelter’

By Richard Bienstock

Richard Bienstock

“It’s the perfect tour, I think,” says Rob Zombie about Twins of Evil: The Second Coming, his co-headlining jaunt with Marilyn Manson that kicks off July 11th at Detroit’s DTE Energy Music Theatre. The trek, which pits Zombie’s B-movie-splattered groove metal against Manson’s industrial-goth exorcisms, is a match made in hell — and one that’s guaranteed to be among heavy music’s biggest bills of the summer.

Zombie and Manson recently united to record a cover of the Beatles ’ “Helter Skelter,” a song which later came to be closely associated with Charles Manson. Their version — in Zombie’s words a “heavier, weirder and more groove-oriented” take on the White Album track — premieres today on Rolling Stone .  Throughout their slowed-down, snarling version, the duo alternate vocals over a surge of detuned distortion. They recreate the song’s overall sense of hysteria as the song builds, climaxing with a torrent of heavy drum fills and hair-raising feedback. Zombie and Manson will also perform the song together onstage at each tour stop this summer.

As for what Zombie appreciates about an artist like Manson? “I’ve always liked the fact that he’s not worried about being a rock star — it’s just what he is,” he says. “He puts on a big show, and that’s the way it should be.” As for Zombie’s own show, he assures that his performances on the Twins of Evil: The Second Coming tour will be characteristically over-the-top. “It’ll be video overload, that’s for sure,” he says, then laughs. “Not great for epileptics.”

How did the idea come about for you and Marilyn Manson to cover “Helter Skelter”? We had been talking about doing something together for these shows — that he should come onstage during my set and we’d do a song. But we couldn’t think of what song. After we talked, later that night I was home and I just thought, The obvious song is “Helter Skelter”… It’s so obvious that neither one of us thought of it! And then I figured, well, rather than us just doing it onstage, why don’t we take it one step further and record it and put a new spin on it? That way, rather than just doing some impromptu jam together, now the fans will go, “Oh, there’s the song I’ve already heard, and now they’re doing it.”

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

Had you thrown around any other song ideas? No. We hadn’t brought up any songs at all. At first it was just, “I’ll come onstage during your show and jam and we’ll do one of your songs.” But I was like, “Ah, if we could think of something better than that…” It wasn’t until later that night that I texted him about the “Helter Skelter” idea. And he said, “Cool. Let’s do it.”

How did you approach the song in the studio? Well, my thought when it comes to covers is to stick close to the original. Because in my mind, what’s the actual point of doing a cover if no one can recognize it? So with our version, I think it varies as much as it can from the original, but not so much that it becomes a different song.

How did you record it? We used my band, and Manson and I did our parts separately. I was on the East Coast and he was in, like, Spain or something, on tour. We were communicating the whole time, but it wasn’t possible to get in the studio together.

You and Manson toured together in 2012. What led you to want to do it again? We’ve been talking about it for a long time, because the last time we did it, even though there was one moment of nonsense, the tour itself was great. So whenever the time was right to do it I always knew we would.

So everything’s good between you guys now? Oh, yeah. It was fine then, too. I mean, it was one incident, and then we finished the U.S. tour and did an entire European tour together.

Did the two of you ever have to sit down and clear the air? Nah, it was nothing. You know, when the story gets retold a million times it makes it into a much bigger deal. But we didn’t care at all.

Mike Pinder, the Moody Blues Keyboardist and Founding Member, Dead at 82

Dionne warwick on her rock hall induction: 'i've never considered myself a rock & roller', john lennon's 'help' guitar headed to auction after spending the last 50 years in an attic.

What can we expect in your set this time? We’re dragging out a huge show, as always. And these days the fan base is really varied, from people who have been fans from 30 years to people who have been fans for 30 minutes. So we’re doing old songs, new songs, all of it. It’s a little bit of everything.

You just finished up work on a new studio album, which will be the follow up to 2016’s The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser . What can you tell us about it? I think it’s the best record we’ve done, for sure. As for what people can expect from it, I mean, how do you talk about music? What do you say? I think it’s got the widest variety of things we’ve ever done. And the record goes to very far extremes, but in a really good way. If a song is heavy, it’s the heaviest song we’ve ever done. If a song is weird, it’s the weirdest song we’ve ever done. I’m super-proud of it.

You also recently wrapped production on Three from Hell , the sequel to your 2005 film, The Devil’s Rejects . Yeah. We’re done filming, but I really won’t get into post-production until September, after the tour. I used to do things in a way where I’d do one and then the other. But now I try to keep them all going. It was too difficult to disappear for two years to make a movie and then try to go on tour and then come back and switch again. So now I try to keep them all fired up at the same time.

Last year you narrated a Charles Manson documentary, The Final Words . How did you become involved in that? I actually never really look to get involved in those types of things. One day I just got a phone call asking if I’d be interested in doing the narrating. And I was like, “Sure, that’d be great. I’m in!”

There had also been reports a few years back of your involvement in another Charles Manson project, one that had author Bret Easton Ellis attached to it. That wasn’t a documentary—it was more like a 10-part mini-series. A really epic project. That never happened… and I sincerely doubt it will.

As far as “Helter Skelter,” it’s a phrase that Manson notoriously adopted for his own purposes. Was he someone you’ve always associated with the song? Oh, yeah. For anyone my age you really cannot listen to the White Album or “Helter Skelter” without the Charles Manson connection. That’s all I associate it with, ever since I was a little kid. As upbeat or light as a lot of the songs on the album are, somehow they always seem connected to Manson. They just have a dark vibe. You can’t hear ‘em any other way. At least I can’t, that’s for sure.

Rob Zombie + Marilyn Manson Flub Their Way Through ‘Twins of Evil: Second Coming’ Tour Announcement

It's hard to tell if Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are doing their best Spinal Tap impression (sans British accents) or if they're really having trouble shooting a video promo for their upcoming tour. Either way, this clip is hilarious.

"This is where we look like jerks," begins Zombie as the two sit side-by-side on a black leather couch. Zombie is dressed in a faded denim jacket, jeans and a matching hat. Manson wears shades and all black and puts on and removes black gloves through the shoot.

"What's July 11, the start of the tour?" asks Zombie. When someone off camera confirms, Rob says, "Really, it's that soon?" "I know, it's terrible," replies Manson.

And we're only 15 seconds into the three-minute long video. Ten attempts later, the pair aren't much closer to a professional take, but they seem resigned to go with what they've got.

In one scene, Manson comments, "We start it on July 11." "July 11, in all happiness in Detroit," remarks Zombie. "What could go wrong there. Nothing." "I got priors [with the law]," retorts Manson. "I'm in a good space," replies Zombie, then laughs.

At another moment, Zombie says, "You ever see that thing with Marc Bolan and Ringo Starr trying to do an intro for the thing, and it's like this? It goes on for an hour and they can't get it right."

The promotional announcement they're trying to make is for their co-headliner: The Twins of Evil Tour: The Second Coming . The North American trek does, indeed, launch July 11 in Detroit and runs through Aug. 29 in Irvine, Calif. As the title suggests, it's the sequel to the 39-date Twins of Evil Tour  that Zombie and Manson launched in late 2012.

Marilyn Manson Announces Summer U.S. Headlining Shows

Marilyn Manson has announced a trio of headlining shows for the summer. This year will find multi-platinum shock rocker returning to the stage for the first-time in several years. His plans to do so seem destined for controversy, given his ongoing legal battles following multiple sexual assault/misconduct allegations having been launched against him by over a dozen women in 2021.

Some of those allegations resulted in civil lawsuits being filed against Manson by his alleged victims. A few of those lawsuits have been resolved vis settlement or dismissal, while others remain ongoing, including a defamation suit Manson filed against his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood , who publicly accused him of abusing her during their relationship that began around the mid 2000s and ended in 2010. Manson for his part continues to deny the allegations made against him.

The newly announced headlining live dates from Manson include:

Presales for the shows will launch tomorrow, April 30th at 10:0am local time with the code ‘MM2024’. Marilyn manson announces first headlining tour dates following abuse allegations.

2019 Aftershock Music Festival

Marilyn Manson has announced three headlining tour dates as he continues his return to the road following abuse allegations made against him by Evan Rachel Wood and others.

The shows take place August 3 in Silver Spring, Maryland, August 17 in Chicago and September 1 in Reno, Nevada. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m. local time; presales begin Tuesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. local time.

As previously reported, Manson will be supporting Five Finger Death Punch ‘s upcoming summer tour, launching in August.

Manson, born Brian Warner , hasn’t performed live since Wood, to whom he used to be engaged, said in February 2021 that Warner “horrifically abused [her] for years.” She made further allegations in the 2022 documentary Phoenix Rising .

Following Wood’s initial statement, several more women came forward with allegations against Warner, including his former assistant  Ashley Walters , actor Esmé Bianco and model Ashley Morgan Smithline , all of whom filed legal action. Walters’ suit was dismissed but has since been appealed, while Bianco’s was settled. Smithline recanted her allegations.

Warner has denied the allegations and sued Wood for defamation in 2022, though several of his claims have been dismissed.

Marilyn Manson Announces 2024 Headlining Tour Dates, First Since 2019

Marilyn Manson just announced a handful of 2024 headlining tour dates, which are his first since he last went on the road in 2019.

The musician was revealed as one of the supporting acts for Five Finger Death Punch ‘s upcoming summer tour, along with Slaughter to Prevail , in March. The tour will mark Manson’s first since 2019, but now he’s added his own headlining shows to the mix.

Two of the performances are scheduled for August in Maryland and Illinois, and the third will take place in early September in Nevada. See the dates below.

Manson has faced a series of abuse allegations since his last tour, especially after his former fiancé, actress Evan Rachel Wood, publicly named him as her abuser in February of 2021.

Wood’s allegations against Manson led several other women to come forward with accusations against the musician afterward, which led to him being dropped by his record label, agency, manager and from the television roles he had in the works.

Manson Started Teasing New Music in 2023

In May of 2023, Manson made his first post on social media in over a year alluding to new music .

“I’ve got something for you to hear,” he wrote in the caption of the photo, which showed the musician with a microphone in his hand.

Manson’s last album We Are Chaos came out in September of 2020.

Manson Is ‘Sober and Clean,’ According to Five Finger Death Punch Guitarist

In a recent interview with Jesea Lee , Five Finger Death Punch’s Zoltan Bathory praised Manson for being “sober and clean,” and discussed the upcoming tour they’ll embark on together.

“Manson is sober, and he’s staying clean and doing the work, so we obviously support that. It’s gonna be an amazing tour,” the guitarist enthused.

Last month,  Marilyn Manson  announced his first tour since 2019 , a summer 2024 support slot opening for Five Finger Death Punch alongside deathcore crew Slaughter to Prevail.

Now, Manson has announced three headlining shows that will go down during off-days from that trek, which mark the shock-rocker's first headlining gigs since 2019.

Manson's career has been on ice since he was accused by  numerous women of sexual abuse  in early 2021, most notably  Westworld  star Evan Rachel Wood. Embroiled in a series of court battles, Manson hasn't played a show since 2019 or released any music since his 2020 album,  We Are Chaos.
