Krabi sunset tour.

Krabi exclusive : 7 Islands Sunset Tour and Night Snorkeling with Bioluminescent Plankton.

TOP TOUR in Krabi Area

   7 ISLANDS SUNSET TOUR

7 Islands Sunset Tour  by Longtail Boat is the best choice to combine a Boat day between the islands and Krabi Sunset,  one of the most evocative of Thailand. This Amazing tour Departure in the afternoon around 13.00 pm and return in the evening around 20.00 pm, the program includes the Visit  the 7 islands Area front Ao Nang :

Poda Island, Chicken Island, Tup Island, Door, Talu, MaeUrai.

I can honestly say that this afternoon tour was a nice surprise for me. The 7 islands Tour in the afternoon begin to evacuate from most tourists, this means that you can enjoy the islands in full, during the tour you can do snorkelling on coral reefs and sandbanks and Climbing / Jumping into the sea from cliffs. But later on this tour it takes shape, at 18 pm in fact the stop is required to Phranang Beach for dinner, an inviting BBQ fish and chicken and fresh fruit to finish, all this while you stay and enjoy one of the most beautiful Sunsets in Thailand . After dinner there will be the Night Snorkeling with Bio Luminescent Phenomen .

Krabi Sunset Tour  will show you the Three main islands front Ao Nang. Poda Island is amazing, you will have time for enjoy the long white sand beach or snorkelling around the Reef, we suggest you to walk until the end of beach and take the rest in wild side without many tourists and boats. Tup Island is a MUST in Krabi, the two small islands are very nice and if there is low tide you can walk from Tup Island to Chicken Island. Take your time for snorkeling but check Tide and Rangers Flag.

Chicken Island is a Snorkeling step, but before the Captain will bring you to the right side for take some nice photos of the Island. After Photos it's time for snorkelling, there are 2-3 very nice place around this Island but time only for one step snorkeling here. The tour continues with the visit to the other small islands behind Chicken Island, where you will have time to take a snorkelling stage again. We note that these islets are in the high seas and only if the sea conditions are perfect will the stop be provided.

PODA ISLAND

Poda Island  is easily visible from Ao Nang Beach and is poupolar in Krabi because is just 15 min by Longtail boat, Poda is the Rangers Park Base and is equipped with Bar and Toiletts. Poda Beach is a big white sand beach where you will Relax and Swimming in a Cristal Water. Walking on the left flank of the island you will arrive in the wild island side definitely more quiet and away from the front area where tourists stop to take pictures in front of the big limestone which makes the fascinating surrounding landscape. Behind the island, accessible only by boat, is the "Deep Solo", a cliff overlooking the sea where you can (for the most irresponsible) climb and then jump into the sea.

CHICKEN ISLAND

Chicken Island  is the big one of the National Park Marine and is named for the big Limestone Rock  that looks like a Chicken Face. This Island is a good place for Snorkelling infact behind there is a small Bay  where the Tour will stop you for enjoy the Marine Life.

seven island tour krabi

Tup Island  is an Amazing place where you can Snorkelling near the reaf  and see the fantastic wild life marine around this small island. When the Tide recedes you will see gradually appear a white sand line that will allow you to walk from Tup Isand to Chicken Island.

PHRANANG BEACH

Last and most important stage of the 7 Islands Tour is the  Night Snorkeling with Bioluminescent Plankton ,  one of the natural wonders that only Krabi offers in Thailand. When the sunset disappears behind the horizon and the darkness of the night takes its place you can enjoy this amazing phenomenon, take a mask and don't be afraid of the dark or of cold, I guarantee you it's worth it, billions of microscopic organisms illuminate moving water and you can see them just by snorkeling in the sea. I must say that after many times that swimming with plankton amuses me and surprise me again as if for the first time. 7 Islands Sunset tour is a "Must" in Krabi, so don't forget, this MUST TO DO IT.

The 7-Island Tour in Ao Nang, Krabi – What to Expect

Our honest opinion about the 7-island tour from ao nang, krabi.

Sara Santos | March 28, 2024 February 22, 2024

One of the most popular tours from Ao Nang, Krabi, is the 7-island tour, also called the 4-island tour depending on the tour provider. In this article, we’ll share what this tour is like, what to expect, and our honest opinion, so that you can decide if it’s worth going or not.

What is the 7-island tour in ao nang, speed boat or long tail boat, morning tour or sunset tour, the 7-island tour (krabi) – what to expect, the 7-island tour (krabi) – is it worth it, other thailand travel guides.

The 7-island or 4-island tour is one of the most popular tours from Ao Nang, Krabi. This tour includes visiting a nearby group of islands in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Krabi province. Usually, it includes the following places, but might vary slightly depending on the operator:

Swimming Koh Poda Island

  • Tup Island (Koh Tup) : connected by a sandbar to nearby islands that you can see during low tide;
  • Poda Island (Koh Poda) : known for its white sand beach with crystal clear blue water;
  • Chicken island (Koh Gai) : known for its unique rock formation resembling a chicken’s head;
  • Railay beach : beautiful beach with beautiful limestone cliffs landscape;
  • Phra Nang Cave : sacred cave associated with fertility.

If you like to have everything planned and figured out or if you have limited time in Thailand, you can book your trips in advance using apps like GetYourGuide , for example. Please note that many packages don’t include the National Park fees.

Alternatively, we recommend buying the tour from local tour operators. You’ll usually get better prices if you’re wiling to negotiate. We got our tour for 1100 baht per person, with the National Park fees included for the sunset tour.

Most tours will have the option of either going by long-tail boat or speedboat. The long-tail boats are the traditional wooden Thai boats. While these are great for pictures, they are very noisy and slow, but usually cheaper than taking a speedboat. The speedboat is usually more comfortable and faster, but bumpier than the long-tail boats. These are also more expensive than the long-tail boat option.

Krabi, 7-Island Tour

We did this tour by long-tail boat, which was a bit uncomfortable since we spent a considerable amount of time on the boat. If you’re willing to pay a bit more for a speedboat, you’ll have a more comfortable journey.

You can choose to do this tour in the morning or in the afternoon with a sunset option. We chose the sunset tour because it included seeing and swimming with the bioluminescent plankton at night. And we did see it! So, if that’s on your bucket list, choose the sunset tour (make sure it includes seeing the bioluminescent plankton).

We’ll describe what our tour looked like. Most tours with a similar name will follow a similar itinerary, even though it may change slightly depending on the tour provider and weather conditions.

Most tours offer pickup from the hotel, so you don’t have to worry about transportation to the starting point. In our case, from the pickup-up time to the start of the tour, it took approximately one hour.

If your tour has a stop for snorkeling, they’ll usually provide snorkeling gear: mask and tube.

Koh Tup and Koh Thap

The first stop of the tour was on Tup Island. This is a very small island with crystal-clear blue water. When the tide is low, it reveals a sandbar that connects the island to the nearby Koh Thap Island. This sandbar that divides the sea is called Thale Waek . If you’re lucky enough to experience a super low tide, these two islands will connect by a larger sandbar to the nearby Chicken Island.

Koh Tup, Krabi, Thailand

The water on this island is very shallow, so it’s not a great place to swim. But, it’s nice to dip your feet in the water.

Tip: make sure to bring water shoes or sandals that you can use on the water, otherwise you may cut your feet on the shells and corals.

Due to the small size of the island and the many boats stopping there at the same time, this was the place on the tour where it felt most crowded.

Chicken Island

The next stop was next to the Chicken island. This island has this name because it has a rock that resembles a chicken head.

Chicken Island (Koh Gai), Krabi, Thailand

The boat stopped next to the island for some snorkeling. Unfortunately, the snorkeling was not very interesting as the corals were mostly dead, and there wasn’t much variety of fish. So, don’t expect much from the snorkeling here.

Tip: if you’re looking for great snorkeling trips, we recommend the trips from Koh Lanta or Koh Lipe. We had the time of our lives snorkeling there ( read about our snorkeling tour in Koh Lanta here ).

Related article: Koh Lanta Travel Guide: 3-Day Itinerary and 10 Best Things to Do

The next island was Koh Poda. I really liked this island. It was my favorite place on the whole tour. Here, you can enjoy a beautiful beach with white sand and crystal-clear blue water.

Koh Poda, Krabi, Thailand

There’s also a beautiful view from this island of the nearby limestone rocks and cliffs. Unfortunately, our time there was very rushed.

Swimming at Koh Poda, Krabi

Tip : instead of doing this tour, you might consider catching a boat from Ao Nang to Koh Poda and spend an afternoon or morning there. For more things to do in Ao Nang, Krabi, make sure to take a look at our guide: Ao Nang Travel Guide for First Timers (Krabi, Thailand) .

Sunset at the Railay Beach

Finally, we stopped at Railay Beach to watch the sunset and have dinner. Unfortunately, we arrived a little late for the sunset, but it was worth it just for the landscape.

Sunset at the Railay Beach, Krabi

This beach is really beautiful, with interesting caves and rock formations with stalactites. Due to the shape of its rock formations, this is quite a popular place for rock climbing.

Phra Nang Cave

Next to Railay Beach is the famous Phra Nang Cave, also known as the Princess Cave. Inside, you’ll find wooden carvings shaped like phalluses. Local people visit this sacred place to ask for help with fertility problems or seek blessings for fertility and safe childbirth.

Phranang Cave, Railay Beach

Dinner Next to the Railay Beach

Our dinner at a nearby restaurant (a 10-minute walk from Railay Beach) was buffet-style and included a variety of dishes. The food was not the best, but it was actually pretty good considering it was buffet-style. Don’t eat too much because you’ll be snorkeling again right after dinner to see the bioluminescent plankton.

Watching the Bioluminescent Plankton in Krabi

Finally, after dinner, the boat stopped at the “middle” of the sea in an area with less light pollution so that we could see the bioluminescence.

You have to go snorkeling to see the bioluminescence. Just splash the water with your hands and feet, and you’ll start seeing it shining like stars in the sky—it’s not bright blue like you see in some photoshopped pictures, but it’s quite a magical and unique experience.

For those not brave enough to go snorkeling in the dark, our guides threw some buckets of water inside the boat so you can also see the bioluminescence without going into the water. Unfortunately, we don’t have any pictures of the plankton because you can’t catch its light on camera.

Overall, I would say yes, but it depends on what you’re expecting. For example, here are some things to take into account before going on the 7-island tour:

  • Because this is one of the most popular tours, most places of interest will be inevitably crowded.
  • Even though it’s called the 7-island tour, we only stopped at two islands and at the Railay beach. The other islands, you only see from afar and sometimes are not even mentioned by the tour guides.
  • The English of most tour guides is very limited. They know some basic sentences, but if you want to ask something more specific, usually they are not able to answer it.
  • The snorkeling included in the trip was not the best. We did much better snorkeling on tours in Koh Lipe and Koh Lanta .

But, there are also great positive points about going on this tour. First of all, it’s quite an affordable tour and it includes water, snacks, and lunch or dinner.

Sunset at the Railay Beach

If you have limited time in Krabi, this is a great way to explore several places in just half a day. However, if you have a little bit more time, I think it’s better to focus on just one island, for example, Koh Poda. You can easily arrange transportation from Ao Nang Beach to Koh Poda or to Railay Beach.

Seeing the bioluminescent plankton was a great experience and is on many people’s bucket lists. We also saw bioluminescent plankton on another tour we did on the Phi Phi Islands .

Related article: Koh Phi Phi: Things to Do and Tips for First-Timers

Finally, a great alternative to the 7-island tour is the Hong Islands Tour. We didn’t do that tour, but I’ve heard very good feedback about it, and many mention that it’s usually not so crowded.

7 islands sunset tour from krabi itinerary:.

“12.45 PM – 1.30 PM: Transportation and tour begin” 7 Islands sunset tour begins in the morning when you set off by a large longtail boat for the famous Lading Island for about an hour. You will arrive at around 2,30 pm. Then you can relax, snorkel, and sunbathe by the gorgeous waters. It is then your time to go free and explore as you wish.

”01.30 PM – 3.00 PM: swimming and sightseeing, meals and relax”  You will be taken on a picturesque tour of the beauty surrounded by limestone cliffs.

  • This is definitely a room with a view. Pranang beach is undoubtedly the best place to take in South Thailand’s bizarre rock formations, not to mention the beauty of the beach itself!
  • Explore the many caves around the area, take a dip in the crystal waters, and don’t miss the fertility temples found inside two of the larger caves! Hong Island Tour does not come here as they go to Daeng Island instead.
  • Tup island tends to be the fan favorite on this trip. It is the smallest beach on the tour, but when the tide is low it transforms into a large sand bar that extends for several kilometers…yours to explore and enjoy! The Thai word for this is known as tally wag.
  • Tang Ming Island: After the last two stops, Tang Ming Island is the perfect place for a little rest and relaxation. Get ready to see some fish and coral with your snorkel.
  • Chicken Island is so named after an unusual rock formation that resembles the head of a chicken and protrudes from the top of the island’s craggy cliffs. Though we won’t go ashore, you can take advantage of photo opportunities here and do a little snorkeling as well.
  • What it lacks in size, Poda Island makes up for in beautiful white sand and scenery. It is a perfect place to see the beauty of the Andaman Sea! It is a truly beautiful island as you are able to walk around on the white sand for about 1km and go into the middle where there are trees and wildlife to explore.
  • It’s time to refuel your stomachs with a buffet dinner and sunset. The meals to choose from are, bbq fish and chicken, Chicken Massaman, Fried rice, vegetables in oyster sauce, fruit, and water. You can eat until you are content. 7.30 pm –
  • We leave the best for the last place for last with our Krabi Island trip. You can swim the fluorescent plankton which is a must-see, only at night, if coming to Krabi. Sometimes in the low season, there are jellyfish so it’s only possible to observe from the boat.

7 Islands Sunset tour from Krabi – Optimal Viewing Period for Bioluminescent Plankton

Witnessing the mesmerizing displays of bioluminescent plankton on a new moon night is incredible. The ideal time to observe this phenomenon revolves around the new moon phase, which spans from November to May.

Visiting Railay Beach in Krabi during the prime season, between November and April, significantly increases your chances of sighting the glowing plankton. It is highly recommended that you plan your excursion on a clear, moonless night.

Bioluminescent plankton thrive in the darkest conditions, which occur right before, during, and immediately after the new moon phase. This means that the best viewing opportunities for 2024- will be in November and December. However, any period around a new moon can potentially offer the awe-inspiring results you’re after, making this a truly unique and exclusive experience.

It’s my first ever e-book, and I want to share it with you!

Everyone hates spammy emails, so do I.  Rest assured, I will never spam your inbox!

Surrounded by towering limestone islands floating on the crystal clear water, there are no better places in Thailand to enjoy an island-hopping tour. If you’re planning a trip to Krabi, you’re in the right place! In this article, we’ll have a look at how the 7 Islands Sunset Tour is like, how you can book the tour, what to bring, and of course, how much it costs.

Standing on the top of all island-hopping tours in Krabi would be the Krabi 4 Islands Tour, which is currently operated by countless operators. The Krabi 7 Islands Tour might not sound familiar to you, but I assure you that the experience is very similar at the same price range – if not better!

Before we get started, let me give you a quick picture. For this tour, you’ll be traveling in a longtail boat and enjoy sunbathing, snorkeling (and night snorkeling to see the bioluminescent plankton!), walking between islands through the shallow waters, stunning sunset view over the horizon and most exciting of all – buffet dinner!

Excited yet? Let’s dive in and check out the details of this 7 Islands sunset tour in Krabi!

Krabi 7 Islands Tour Price?

To be honest, when it comes to pricing, Thailand really had me all confusing. Why?

On our first day in Krabi, our hostel manager in Baan To Guesthouse handed us several brochures. This tour particularly caught our attention and the written price was 1,500 Baht. We asked the manager for more details, and she said she could make it 900 Baht if we booked with her.

Like, 40% discount, seriously?

In the end, we booked our 7 Islands Tour for 900 Baht per person .

My advice is to first consult with your hostel or hotel manager and see if they could offer a better price. If so, why not book with them? Saves you the trouble because the tuk-tuk picks you up right at the doorstep.

My take is that the price might differ depending on the seasons though. I visited in January which is not so much of a peak season.

Note that you still have to pay 10 Baht for the pier fee , which is pretty ridiculous. But it’s 10 Baht so nevermind.

So, in total, I spent 910 Baht for the 7 Islands Sunset Tour.

Tup Island and Thap Island

The pickup service will drop you right at the pier area, where you’ll be directed to collect your snorkeling masks and register your names. Pier fee of 10 Baht will be collected upon entering the pier. After that, just wait until your group is called to board the longtail boat.

The process is pretty straightforward so I think there’s no point explaining too much, let’s jump into the main points.

The first island, well, islands to be exact are Tup Island (or Koh Tup) and Thap Island (or Koh Thap). It takes around 30 minutes to get here from Krabi Ao Nam Mao Pier.

Now, some articles will say they are the same islands, but no. Both of these islands are connected by the sandy beach covered by a shallow layer of seawater.

That means you’ll be able to stroll back and forth these 2 islands like a boss, sounds pretty cool, right?

So, what the main activities in these two islands? Well, we were given around 45 minutes to simply walking around and explore.

The seawater in the surrounding is crystal clear, and there were plenty of fishes there. You could bring your snorkeling mask, dive in, and try talking to the fishes. In short, there are no specific activities here other than free time.

Chicken Island

It’s time for some snorkeling!

If it’s your first time snorkeling, you might want to check out some video tutorials in YouTube to get an idea first. If not, you might end up like an awkward fish that forgot how to breathe.

Trust me, I was that fish.

Snorkeling seems so easy at first that I didn’t bother to try learning it. In my first attempt, I choked on some seawater and the taste remained in my mouth for hours. The video below shows you how to get started.

The sea around Chicken Island is around 3 to 4 meters deep. The operator told us that we were supposed to snorkel somewhere else but the sea condition there wasn’t so pleasant. Or something like that, she was talking when the boat engine beside me is running on full power.

Anyway, don’t expect too much coral reef there, as tourism always kills the sensitive coral reefs. And one thing, use coral-safe sunscreens, please.

At Chicken Island, you’ll be given around 30 minutes to snorkel around the massive limestone hill. There were no beaches around that you can land on, so you either get on the boat or you go swimming with the fishes.

Oh ya, there weren’t many fishes here when I dove until the operator took out some fish-bait-thing and the fishes swarmed in like zombies. I’m not that supportive when it comes to wildlife tourism, but I’m ok with it if it’s just for a brief while.

I didn’t even know why it’s called Chicken Island. It looks more like Lapras Island. (Only Pokemon fans can relate)

Approaching Chicken Island on Longtail Boat

Poda Island and Ma Tang Ming Island

Next stop, Poda Island. This island is the perfect spot to chill and relax after the struggling snorkel. We were given an hour in this island to do whatever we like – free time.

Ma Tang Ming Island, located at the opposite of Poda Island is a perfect subject for photography. Unfortunately, there were no beaches on that island so all we could do was admire its beauty from a distance.

Speak of Poda Island, this island is HUGE. The long stretch of white sandy beach is great for simply picnicking and sunbathing. While you’re there, why not dip yourself into the sea and enjoy the crystal clear water?

There are plenty of coconut trees as well to keep the benches shady – you’ll definitely feel sleepy after all the snorkeling and swimming.

Anyway, one hour passed really quickly and we had to move on to the next destination.

Ko Ma Tang Ming in 7 Islands Sunset Tour Krabi

Located not so far away from Krabi lies Samet Nangshe Viewpoint, one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in Thailand. Check it out here !

Si Island & Railay Beach with Phra Nang Cave

While Si Island is advertised as one of the 7 islands in the tour, like Ko Ma Tang Ming, we did not set foot onto this island. There was no beach there, and it’s really close to Railay Beach on the Krabi mainland.

The longtail boat parked at the beach of this last destination of the 7 Island Sunset Tour and visitors got to enjoy the perfect sunset view over the horizon accompanied by the enormous Si Island.

The moment you hopped off the boat, the first thing you want to do is pay a quick visit to Phra Nang Cave – probably the most famous cave in Krabi.

This hundred-meter-tall cave is magnificent by itself, due to the erosion of the limestone hill, which contributed to the unique pattern of the cave structure. The giant stalactites hanging over the cave ceiling will surely make you wonder if they’ll drop at any moment. Don’t even imagine it!

After the sunset, before the sunset glow disappears, make sure you bring yourself to the booth of your travel operator to claim your buffet dinner! Enjoying your dinner while admiring the beauty of the purple sky, what’s a better way to end the day?

Phra Nang Cave in Railay Beach in Krabi Mainland

The Unknown Island

The tour is not over after the dinner just yet! After dinner, hop on back to your longtail boat and you’ll be brought to an unknown island. The island’s name wasn’t mentioned in any of the brochures so I wasn’t sure about the name.

Several longtail boats came together and turned off the light. In 5 minutes, your eyes start to adapt to the darkness and become more sensitive to light. And you guessed it, it’s night snorkeling time!

Night snorkeling might sound a little creepy for some, so make sure you wear the safety jackets if you’re not confident about the safety! Your operator will teach you how to see the bioluminescent plankton.

It’s simple, once you’re in the water, simply flap your hand, or make any motions with your hands. The planktons will let out lights when there is movement around them. Some sort of chemical reactions, according to the operator.

If you don’t feel like snorkeling again, the operator will contain the seawater into a plastic bottle and shake them on the boat, making them shine bright like diamonds. But the experience is very different compared to seeing them yourself in the waters.

Oh ya, the luminescence only lasts for around 0.5 seconds when there are movements. Pretty difficult to take photos, I’d say.

With your wet clothes, it’s time to head back to the pier and end the tour!

Fire Show at Ao Nam Mao Pier

I’m not sure if this applies to all tour operators, but our tour operator, The Lucky Krabi Travel had this fire show thing in their itinerary.

After returning the snorkeling masks, we got to enjoy a 10-minutes fire show before we hopped on our tuk-tuk and dropped off at our hostel. The fire show was conducted by a family of 3 generations, with the youngest being… I think he’s younger than 10 years old.

Anyway, the fire show was pretty impressive. There were some pretty dangerous tricks, but there was no fire breathing trick. Yep, I know it’s very dangerous to the performer, but I’ve never seen it with my own eyes to this day, so…

Excited for this 7 Islands Sunset Tour in Krabi?

So that’s it for the Krabi 7 Islands Sunset Tour. What do you think of it? I highly recommend you to try this or at least the 4 Islands tour. A trip to Krabi without an island-hopping tour is not complete! The seawater condition might disgust you especially at the Krabi Town area, but trust me, once you get the 30-minutes boat ride out of town, things will get so aesthetically different. Let me know if this article helped you. Travel safe and enjoy Thailand!

Description

  • AVAILABILITY : Daily, all year round.
  • MODE OF TRANSPORT : Converted fishing boat
  • APPROXIMATE TIMING : 13.30 – 21.00
  • DEPARTURE POINT : Ao Nam Mao Pier

ITINERARY : For those who prefer a later start to their day, this budget trip to the 4 Islands area offers a similar itinerary to the morning departure , but with the added attraction of a sunset over the islands, and the chance of swimming with bioluminscent plankton.

The afternoon itinerary will cover all the best bits along this beautiful stretch of coast. Departing from the mainland around 1.30pm, and stopping to pick up guests at Railay, the first stop is Phra Nang Cave Beach. Then it’s time to head out to the islands, where you will swim and snorkel at Koh Tan Ming – the rock island in front of Poda – before heading around the island for a spot of cliff jumping (for those brave enough to try it – it’s strictly optional and just as entertaining to watch).

Next stop is Koh Si, a rocky outcrop with many underwater reefs and caves that offers a bit better snorkeling than the average. There’ll be a photo op around the head of Chicken Island before the next stop at Koh Tub for some beach time or (at low tide) a walk across the spectacular sandbank that connects it to Chicken and Mor Islands nearby.

Enjoy sunset on the beach at Poda Island (National Park fee / 400 THB per person, payable in cash on the day). There’s plenty of opportunity for photographs as you watch the sun go down over the islands. After dark, you will head back to the mainland for a sit-down buffet meal at East Railay Beach (no view). Beer is available for an additional cost.

After dinner, there will likely be a fire show. Then you will head to the shore off Phra Nang Cave. Here, if you are lucky, you can obtain a radioactive glow, or leave a trail of sparkles in the water by swimming with the harmless phosphorescent plankton (sea conditions permitting). Please be aware the sea in Krabi can get quite rough after dark, so this trip may not be suitable for those who are prone to seasickness.

Note: itinerary order subject to change due to tide variations throughout the month. The 7 “islands” include several rocks, in addition to what most people would call islands (with beaches, surrounded by water). 7 refers to the number of stops made (Phra Nang Cave – Koh Tan Ming – Koh Si – Koh Tub – Chicken Island – Poda Beach – plankton stop), and the name of the tour is to differentiate from the daytime trip to the same area that offers a bit more beach time and fewer stops.

NOTE: since 18 June 2015 , customers on island-hopping tours that stop at beaches with ranger stations are subject to pay National Park entry fees. These must be paid in cash on the day of travel at the rate of 400 THB per adult and 200 THB per child, and are not included in your ticket price.

Expected group size : 10 – 35 pax, depending on the day and time of year.

Important: Due to tidal conditions, during certain times of the month, passengers will be required to transfer to / from the big boat to a longtail boat to reach the shore. The boat crew will usually assist, but anyone with serious mobility issues should not go on this tour.

6 reviews for 7 Islands Sunset Tour

Nevo Peles – 3 March 2015

We had a great time on the 7 islands trip.

Fauzi – 13 March 2015

We enjoyed the island hopping and snorkelling.

Marc Jaen – 20 March 2015

The trip was awesome! the visit to the islands, snorkel… and people in he group was nice.

Christopher Delfino – 19 April 2016

Bad start – we were picked up at 11.30 and basically waited outside a shop for almost 2 hours before we left. Admittedly this did not put us in a good mood for the rest of the trip. The female guide tried her best but the whole thing felt a bit ramshackle, and boat was in a poor condition. Barely got time to see the sunset and dinner was in a very dingy looking place. Islands were amazing but this is definitely a budget trip, don’t waste your money. We went on the junk cruise the next day and though more expensive worth every penny.

Lenny – 3 January 2017

The local guides did there best but we had a few recomandations. We were picked up very early and had to wait a few hours before we started the trip. We were not informed at forehand that we had to pay for the bridge. It was only a few Bath but it felt not good, because during the whole trip we wonder what more unexpected manditory cost would come. I would be better to mention it at the booking site, so that there won’t be surprises. Boat was old but we never felt unsafe, it’s not Europe. Restaurant was also a little poor. There was not enough food. Everyone had one small plate, especially young European men were still hungry afterwards. Tour itself was nice. Very beautiful nature.

Milo – 25 January 2017

Do not do this! Pickup was half an hour late. On the pier we had to wait for another 45 minutes. The promised speed boat, was only a big long tail boat and the engine broke up after a mile. So we needed to change to a small long tail boat with very little place for everyone. The guide was shouting and unfriendly. Always rushing us to the next place. The BBQ is a small Thai buffet with 5 dishes. Through the rush I forgot my jacket I. The restaurant and the guide was not very helpful to get even the number of the restaurant.

Don’t do this tour!!!
