Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Amritsar to Wagah Border and Local sightseeing

Arrive Amritsar, transfer to hotel and check in. Visit the Golden Temple and later visit the massacre of Jalian Wallan Bagh. Afternoon little free time to rest and evening around 3 PM drive to Wagah Border to see the Closing Ceremony, event starts exactly by 5.30 PM everyday. Border closing 'lowering of the flags' ceremony is a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan.This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations flags, it is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman (Jawan) stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gate at the border is opened and the flags are lowered. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side. Return back to Hotel and Overnight.

Day 7 : Manali to Excursion to Rohtang Pass (Snow Point)

Famous tourist spot Rohtang Pass is closed during Jan to April month due to heavy glaciers all around and so tourist activities can be spotted in Solang Valley during that period. Overnight Manali. Dharamshala Cricket Stadium: Located at a height of 1,457m amidst the Dhauladhar mountain range in Kangra valley, it is one of the highest sports grounds in the world. With a view comparable to the Adelaide Oval or Newlands, the stadium is open for tourists even when no matches are scheduled. The main stand is built with Tibetan architectural style. St John's Church: Located near Dharamshala and on the way to Mcleodganj, this neo-gothic church was built in dedication to John the Baptist. Set amidst lush deodar forests, this peaceful edifice is known for its Belgian stained-glass windows.  War Memorial: The War Memorial in the forests of Dharamshala was created to commemorate the memory of those who fought to save our motherland. Three huge panels of black stone, each 24 feet in height, preserve their memory in stone. The War Memorial is surrounded by the poetic pine forests of Dharamshala, leading to lush gardens through a quaint walkway. Bhagsunag Temple: ​​Surrounded by lovely pools and lush greenery, the Bhagsunag Temple is one of the oldest ancient temples. Also popularly known as Bhagsunath Temple, it is highly revered by the local Gorkha and Hindu community. The two pools around the temple are believed to be sacred and are considered to contain miraculous powers of healing. Dal Lake: The Dal Lake is a small yet picturesque lake. With its name taken from the famous and breathtaking Dal Lake of Srinagar, the lake is surrounded by rugged mountains and towering deodar trees. Dal Lake is also a perfect place to stop over and relax if you are trekking up to Naddi, which is also known as the Sunset Point. Dalai Lama Temple: Replete with Tibetan culture, the Dalai Lama Temple, also known as Tsuglakhang Temple, is a politico-religious centre in Dharamsala. Ideal for peaceful meditation and religious rumination, it is in close vicinity to the abode of Dalai Lama and is frequently visited by him to preach and conduct prayer meets. The main here is the enormous idol of Buddha sitting on an elevated pedestal. Sunset Point: Naddi View Point or Sunset Point is the perfect location for catching a glimpse of the spectacular Dhauladhar ranges, especially during the winters when the peaks are covered in snow. Also known as Little Lhasa, it is famous around the world for being home to the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Dalhousie: Dalhousie is a popular hill station in Himachal Pradesh, located around 120 km from Dharamshala. How to Reach Dharamsala

Dharamsala is well-connected to major Indian cities by road, train, and air. Day 1. Delhi to Shimla : Overnight in Shimla

Pick up from airport and drive to Shimla. Arrive and check in at hotel. Later proceed for sight seeing tour to Wildflower Hall, Indira Holiday Home, Advance Study & Museum. Overnight stay at Shimla.

Day 2. Shimla Sightseeing : Overnight in Shimla

Pick up from hotel and proceed for sightseeing tour of Shimla covering Kalbadevi Temple, Jakhu Temple, Hanuman Temple or stop for a while at the beautiful stained-glass windows of Christ Church. Afternoon excursion to Kufri- a 30 Minutes drive from Shimla. Evening free to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kufri. Also visit Fagu, and enjoy horse riding in the apple orchids (optional). Rest of the day is free to explore. Overnight stay at Shimla.

Day 3. Shimla to Manali : Overnight in Manali

Pick up from hotel Morning drive to Manali (7-8 hr). Pass by beautiful Kullu valley, Beas river, Dashehra maidan etc. Arrive and check in at hotel. Evening free to explore Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 4. Manali Sightseeing : Overnight in Manali

Pick up from hotel after breakfast, proceed to half day city tour visiting Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht Temple and Tibetan Monastery. Evening free for roam at your own. Overnight stay at Manali.

Day 5. Manali-Rohtang pass-Manali : Overnight in Manali

Day 6. Manali to Dalhousie : Overnight in Dalhousie

Pick up from hotel after breakfast departs for Dalhousie. Situated at 2039 mts in the outer slopes of the Dhaula Dhar range with its natural beauty and natural surroundings. On arrival check- in at the hotel. Rest of the day for leisure and shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7. Dalhousie Khajjiar : Overnight in Dalhousie

Full day sightseeing to Khajjiar, 18 Kms from. Dalhousie. Its one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the center with a floating island and 9-hole golf course here are the other interesting places to cover. Return to Dalhousie and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8. Dalhousie to Amritsar : Overnight in Amritsar

Puck up from hotel after Breakfast we checkout from Dalhousie and proceed for Amritsar by road on arrival checkin at hotel and later visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Return to hotel. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

Day 9. Amritsar Sightseeing : Drop

Pick up from hotel after breakfast, checkout from hotel, visit Golden temple, Jaliyan Wala Bagh and later drop at Amritsar Airport/Railway Station.

Day 04: Dharamshala
