Taylor Swift Kicks Off Her Eras Tour in Fully Bejeweled Fashion
By Christian Allaire
Taylor Swift kicked off her much-anticipated The Eras Tour on Friday night in Glendale, Arizona (renamed “Swift City” on Friday and Saturday for the occasion). You’ll recall that the singer broke records with the tour, selling 2.4 million tickets in a single day, so it’s safe to say that Swifties were eager to see what the singer had in store. Over the course of her three-hour-long set list—which included 44 songs—the star certainly didn’t disappoint with outfits. She sported custom designs from labels such as Versace, Roberto Cavalli, and Oscar de la Renta. Her performance attire paid homage to all of her past eras—from rocking “Bejeweled”-worthy bodysuits, to edgy snake looks that nodded to her Reputation days.
Diehard fans of Swift could easily catch how her new costumes nod to her past. Styled by Joseph Cassell Falconer, they served as modern updates to signature Swift looks. Her gold, fringed mini dress by Roberto Cavalli, for instance, referenced a similar Cavalli dress that Swift wore during her Fearless tour back in 2011. “We chose a beautiful champagne color, which is very Taylor,” Roberto Cavalli designer Fausto Puglisi tells Vogue . The designer also created the embroidered Rhombus top and mini skirt for her 1989 set, as well as the embroidered snake catsuit Swift wears to perform songs from her album Reputation. “It’s more of a badass, rock and roll look,” says Puglisi.
In Roberto Cavalli
Swift famously adopted the slithery imagery during her Reputation era, when her haters flooded her social media with snake emojis. She reclaimed the term and symbol as a power move. “I wanted to send a message to you guys that if someone uses name-calling to bully you on social media, and even if a lot of people jump on board with it, that doesn’t have to beat you,” Swift said on stage during her opening night. (Fans have even been creating their own snake looks to wear to the show.)
Each outfit was aligned with the message and vibe of the era Swift referenced, showcasing the different audio and visual aesthetics she’s embraced over her nearly two-decade-long career. Swift opened with her songs from the Lover album, and channeled the album’s visual pastel vibes with a glitzy Versace bodysuit. (All of the looks were also complete with shimmery Christian Louboutin boots.) While performing Midnight’s “Lavender Haze,” she chose a faux fur lavender coat by Oscar de la Renta, complete with a beaded bodysuit. During her more ethereal Folklore section, Swift leaned on gauzy prairie gowns by Alberta Ferretti and Etro.
In Alberta Ferretti
The most dramatic, of course, was the full-on princess gowns by Nicole + Felicia that Swift wears to perform “Enchanted” in—an enchanted design indeed. With each look more dazzling the next, there was an intentional choice from Swift to use her stage fashion to speak to the music she performs. The same sentiment came from the designers themselves, most of whom did custom creations. “I always want to create couture for the music,” says Puglisi. “We took an artisanal approach to craftsmanship—when you create for a concert in a stadium with so many people, everything must be eye-catching.” In other words, best believe she’s still bejeweled.
Below, all of Swift’s best fashion moments from her Eras Tour so far.

When the singer and social media queen Taylor Swift took part in Vogue's 73 Questions video series we got a chance to get a sneak peak around her Beverly Hills home and see her interior style for ourselves. The star's LA home is cosy and traditional, and we loved her individual style so much we found some beautiful products to help you get the Taylor Swift look in your own home!
Opening the door, we were led straight into the hallway, featuring a bold and utterly beautiful wallpaper and an antique-looking clock.
Get the look
Recreate the traditional feel of Taylor's hallway with exuberantly patterned wallpaper. We love the Bayham Abbey design from the London Wallpaper collection by Little Greene.
The archive-inspired design pays homage to traditional baroque-style, featuring a small-scale diamond trellis pattern. With a bold red ground, this designer wallpaper is sure to create a warm welcome for any home.
The video then moved through to her music room with a grand piano in pride of place - and one of her many guitars (she apparently lost count of how many she actually has "back in 2007").
One the way through to the kitchen Taylor stopped off to add a letter to a Scrabble board on her dining table - glad to see she's still got time for a good old board games! The warm lighting makes this room a cosy den for writing music and holds lots of personal mementos and family photos.

A decorative lamp is just the thing to make a style statement in a home office. This large-scale metal lamp has been hand-painted with great care and attention to detail, to create a really beautiful piece. Pair it with a neutral shade to accentuate the pattern on the base rather than overpower it. Patera handpainted lamp , £149, Oka
Moving through to the kitchen we spotted a rather fancy looking coffee machine, and right next to it, her VMA. Because why not keep it in the kitchen? The kitchen itself is traditional and lavish, with a large island, pale grey cabinetry and white tiles. We were all over the open-shelving - nice choice Taylor!
Clearly Taylor loves cooking and entertaining so her kitchen is the hub of the home. A stylish r ange cooker is a great investment for a busy kitchen as it offers professional quality without being too high spec.
This example has a 94 litre capacity oven, ideal for family sized mealtimes, with the addition of a 5 burner gas hob, allowing for multiple pans on the go at once. Baumatic Dual Range Cooker, £529, AO.com
Among the barrage of questions (there are 73 of them after all!) we learned the last thing she baked - a gluten and dairy free chocolate cake - and the fact that she always has to have hummus in the fridge. The most impressive feature in the kitchen had to be the elaborate gold tap - seriously swanky.
We're in love with Swifty's kitchen, which is packed with stylish finishing touches. This gold tap caught our eye, if only for the various intriguing handles and fixtures! When space is premium (not something Taylor has to worry about) a scaled down, traditional design is often best.
The Gemma mixer tap in antique brushed finish is a classic buy, with easy turn lever handles it's simple but elegant.
Heading out to her impressive garden, complete with fire pit, there is plenty of outdoor seating, lush greenery and some gorgeous lighting.
Create the perfect place to while away sunny afternoons in the garden with a little help from a fabulous garden furniture piece. We've found just the thing with this Eastern-inspired outdoor day bed at Lombok. The generously sized design is hand carved from solid natural teak wood, complete with a luxurious cushion pad with a shower proof fabric cover.
Back inside, we were privy to her huge collection of cat ornaments and accessories, along with a few more awards! We also learnt her favourite scented candle - Byredo Tree House - be right back, just going to stock up!
After a long day, make like Taylor and shake it off to enjoy some downtime in a comfy, squidgy armchair. This classic design upholstered in beautiful "Old Saddle" leather has a warm, inviting look that exudes character. The plump back and arm cushions look cosy and comfortable, the perfect occasional chair for any living room.

Taylor Swift gives tour of her California home while answering Vogue's '73 Questions'
If you've ever wondered what Taylor Swift's life is like beyond the stage, now we have a (beautiful) idea.
To add to the buzz around the release of Vogue's May cover story on Taylor Swift, the magazine released a new edition of its "73 Questions" series featuring the 26-year-old Grammy-winning artist.
And to add the excitement, the entire clip was filmed inside her stunning Beverly Hills home.

In the video, the star offers an open tour of her favorite spaces — including her award-filled music room, rustic kitchen and inviting outdoor area — all while answering the interviewer's rapid-fire line of questioning.
As it turns out, the mega-celebrity has more than one coffee machine, is a fan of wallpaper and she loves her cats — although we already knew that!
But fortunately, Swift proved there were still plenty of things we didn't know. Here's just a sample:
First song she learned to play on the guitar: "'Kiss Me' by Sixpence None the Richer."
If she could teach one subject in school it would be: "English."
Her favorite cocktail: "Vodka-Diet Coke."
RELATED: Nicole Kidman gives tour of her Aussie farm while answering Vogue's '73 Questions'
What she would order at a drive-through: "Cheeseburger, fries, chocolate shake."
The one thing she still has from her childhood: "My insecurities."
Her favorite TV show currently on the air: "Dateline."
One accomplishment she's most proud of: "My Grammys!"
Something she's always wanted to try but has been too scared to do: "Coachella."
Her spirit animal: "A dolphin because they're very social. They travel in groups."
The best (and most spontaneous) thing she's ever done: "Writing the Apple Music letter ."

10 Things You're Going to Want to Steal From Taylor Swift's Home
Updated on 7/18/2016 at 12:45 PM
Taylor Swift just revealed dozens of fascinating facts about herself, such as the best gift she's ever received and the bravest thing she's ever done, when interviewed for Vogue's 73 Questions video series — but we could hardly pay attention to what Ms. Swift was saying because we were so distracted by her stunning home. The singer-songwriter's Beverly Hills abode is as timelessly stylish as she is. Period details mingle with plush furniture, antique decor, hardwood floors, rich patterns and textures (Taylor is a wallpaper-lover!), and top-of-the-line appliances. This place oozes with cozy charm! While we love every inch of her house, from the strategically scattered MTV Moonman awards to the outdoor living room, our favorite aspect of Taylor's home is how welcoming it is. Keep reading to see what we mean, and keep clicking through for a look at our 10 favorite design elements.
The Tiling Around Her TV and Fireplace
These graphic tiles are so much more interesting than a mantel!
The Wandering Backsplash
Instead of a few feet of backsplash, Taylor's stylish backsplash spreads across the air vent and walls.
The Gallery Wall
Not only does Taylor have killer taste in wallpaper and a beautiful gallery wall, she's even angled her ceiling lighting to highlight the artwork. Classy touch, Ms. Swift!
The Layered Textiles
From the lush drapes to the velvet chair, the needlepoint pillow to the soft throw, Taylor's living room is an oasis of decadently layered textiles. We want to spend entire days curled up with a good book in here!
The Shelf of Cat Decor
Taylor's love for cats can be seen all over her living room. Well, 10 times to be exact. How many cats can you spot on this one shelf alone?
The Gold Faucet
This faucet is so fabulously old-fashioned and gloriously decadent all at once. We want it.
The Music Room
This cozy room is everything we would expect a musical genius like Taylor to have and more. And don't even get us started on those piano legs!
The Coffee Area
What do you do when you've won so many MTV Music Video Awards that you run out of places to store your Moonman trophies? You use them to spice up areas like this sophisticated coffee station.
The Outdoor Seating
There's outdoor seating, and then there's what Taylor has in her backyard — full-size sofas, carved wooden chairs, side tables, and even what looks like an antique opium bed. Her back patio defines indoor-outdoor living.
The Antique Bench
Look at the details! We don't know whether to stare or sit.

73 Questions With Taylor Swift
While we're sat in rainy, ol' England, Vogue got megastar Taylor Swift to give us a tour of her Beverly Hills crib, and it's everything you'd expect. (And the odd thing you wouldn't!)
When we saw "73 Questions with Taylor Swift" we panicked it was going to be a quiz we'd have to endure... Luckily for us, it was SO much better. And then some.
> Fifth Harmony's Camila Gave A 'Work From Home' Dance Tutorial To Taylor Swift & Co At Coachella
In this video, she legit opened the door for US (sort of...) and welcomed us into her home to talk about the usual things; her room-writing song with countless guitars; her favourite drive-thru order (which is a cheese burger, fries and a chocolate milkshake, FYI) and - most importantly - her double-jointed elbows.
While showing us around her kitchen (where she proved she has SO many awards, she was willing to stir the coffee with her VMA!) she spilled the beans on her favourite TV show, her most adventurous hobby - watching Shark Week - and her most memorable moments; the GRAMMYs.
Some things did confuse us in the video, however. Taylor let slip that she was always too scared to go to Coachella... Erm. Tay?
I'll NEVER forget this moment. @badgalriri @calvinharris #coachella A video posted by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) onApr 18, 2016 at 2:00am PDT
And she also spoke about being the most-followed user on Instagram. Well, this is exceptionally awkward, isn't it, Selena?

But despite that, Tay's house tour - filled with spontaneous Scrabble, sword-wielding robots and German math - was just so, so, so very cool to watch. (We'd legit hire her as a estate agent now.)

We were thrilled to hear that Vogue’s next 73 Questions subject was Taylor Swift! We’ve been fans of her decor choices for awhile, and couldn’t wait for a closer peek inside her California home. Throughout the video, Tay takes us on a tour of her entryway, writing room (that’s what we’re calling it), dining room, kitchen, and backyard. Read on to find out which items really stood out to us, and watch her 73 Questions video, too!
First of all, we really love her photos framed in gold with black matting. It’s a combination we’ll try ASAP, and a fresh change from too-frequently used color combinations. .
Trying to get over for a moment that there’s a GRAMMY BEHIND HER, we also love her adorable pink loveseat, perfectly poised to let friends listen in as she composes at the piano. (This is a great room, btw).
Moon man. We want a moon man. You hear that, MTV? Until then we’re absolutely digging up 3rd grade track and field trophies and placing them ever so nonchalantly next to our coffee setup.
We absolutely love Taylor’s brass fixtures. It’s rare that a sink takes center stage in a kitchen, but we can’t take our eyes off this one! This highly functional center island is probably where Tay & squad prep fun, highly exclusive dinner parties for each other. That happens, right?
We have a thing for ovens with red knobs, k?
We love how Taylor chose a dark paint color for her back door to the patio area. This provides a nice contrast to the primarily light walls, and gives the room kind of a farmhouse feel, where a white door might feel a little too matchy.
So two things. First, why don’t we have orange trees just casually hanging out in our backyards? And second, if you watch this entire video, Taylor has some really choice options for outside seating!
What is this bike? We must have it now.
This is such a cozy space, we’d feel really comfortable around these highly personal furnishings, but what really stands out to us is the cool console table Taylor has placed behind her chair. It’s not so big as to steal the spotlight from the (amazing) fireplace on the next slide, but it’s just big enough to hold a few of her favorite things.
See? This fireplace is everything. We’re suckers for a good tile pattern , you know?
Oh hello there globe light, we see you! (And yes, on the wall that’s a framed inside quote between Taylor and her boyf, Calvin Harris aka Adam Wiles). It reads “You have successfully buried yourself in side my head. 2/26/15.”

Have a Look Around Taylor Swift’s Home (Including the Cat Room) While She Shares Her Favorite Cocktail, Drive-Through Order, and More
By Kate Friedman
We already knew Taylor Swift has a thing for cats (particularly her own, Meredith and Olivia), but we now know the extent of her obsession. In a recent Vogue video , T.Swift answered "73 Questions" as she guided a walking tour around her charmingly rustic home. And, why yes, she does, in fact, have a room with 10 cats.
While only one of the cats was real, the rest were artfully scattered around her living room as decoration. (Now we're curious about who she hired as her decorator.) Aside from a room dedicated to her favorite furry animal, Tay has some other unexpected decorations, including her various awards arranged in random places all over her house. (See: The VMA we spotted in between three coffeemakers in her kitchen.) Have a look for yourself here —and learn everything you never needed (but always wanted) to know about Taylor Swift.

Inside Celebrity Homes: Taylor Swift Malibu Home Tour with Vogue – The “New Romantics” singer opened up her Malibu abode for Vogue’s “73 Questions” series. Taylor Swift walked the cameraman through multiple areas on the ground level, including the living room, kitchen and patio. Swift’s home is littered with awards in every room—no big surprise, given her numerous wins at the Grammys, MTV VMAs and other shows.
First stop: Swift’s music room. She “lost track” of the number of guitars she owns in 2007. When she’s writing new music, she will record a voice memo of herself singing the lyrics, “or I write it down in my notes…I write a lot of my ideas down before I get into the actual session.”
In the dining room, Swift showed off her Scrabble skills. Once she entered the kitchen—where more awards were on full display—she revealed that her cocktail of choice is Diet Coke and vodka. Asked to pick her favorite food, she said, “If we’re just saying what I wish I could eat every day—if calories didn’t count—chicken tenders.” Whenever she craves fast food, she tends to order three menu items: cheeseburger, fries, chocolate shake. Swift recently baked a dairy-free, gluten-free chocolate cake, but the best cake she’s ever eaten was from New York City’s Milkbar for her 25th birthday in 2014. “It was so good even Jay Z raved about it,” she said.

Will Taylor Swift Add ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ To The Eras Tour? Here’s What We Know.
Fans think Taylor Swift is dropping hints that she might be expanding her already 10-album-spanning “Eras Tour” setlist to include her latest release, “The Tortured Poets Department,” ahead of the tour’s upcoming European leg in May.

Swift teased fans in a YouTube Short video Thursday night that it’s only a “fortnight until Paris”—a nod to both her return to the Eras Tour in Paris on May 9, and “Fortnight,” the lead single from “The Tortured Poets Department” featuring Post Malone.
In typical Swiftie fashion , fans quickly began decoding the video for possible clues about Swift’s upcoming shows, and some have pointed to what looks like a “TTPD” logo attached to a railing Swift leans on while singing, taking this as a hint that her new album could have its own “era” on tour.
Other Swifties noted the billionaire pop star can be seen wearing shoes strikingly similar to those she wears in the “Fortnight” music video, while some pointed out the hats and canes her backup dancers are using have not yet been seen at Eras Tour shows, a possible hint at new songs and choreography.
Swift fan accounts shared screenshots of an Instagram post from musical director David Cook who appeared to tease live performances of “The Tortured Poets Department” songs, though it has since been removed from his caption .
Swift’s collaborator on new song “Florida!!!,” Florence Welch, hinted at possibly joining Swift for an Eras Tour performance to British Vogue , stating: “If I was gonna do it, it would be a surprise.”
What We Don’t Know
What alterations Swift might make to the Eras Tour setlist to fit in “The Tortured Poets Department.” The tour has been noted for its length: Swift performs 45 songs over the course of more than three hours, leading fans to speculate whether she may need to make cuts to fit in her latest release. The Eras Tour has been billed as a celebration of Swift’s entire musical catalogue and each album, or “era,” has its own dedicated part of the setlist, with each ranging from one to seven songs. “Midnights,” her latest album release prior to “The Tortured Poets Department,” has closed out the setlist since the start of the tour and has had the longest setlist of any era.
Surprising Fact
The Eras Tour is already the highest-grossing tour of all time, but it’s only a little more than halfway over. Swift has performed 83 shows to date, but she still has 69 left, most of which are in Europe. She’ll be joined by Paramore as her European leg opening act, while Gracie Abrams will join her for her final North American leg . Swift will return to the United States, but only for three cities: She’ll perform in Miami for three shows in October, followed by an additional three shows each in New Orleans and Indianapolis. She will wrap up the North American leg, and the tour as a whole, with six shows in Toronto in November and three shows in Vancouver in December.
$1.04 billion. That’s how much the Eras Tour grossed across 60 shows between March 17 and Nov. 11, 2023, according to Pollstar estimates , making it the highest-grossing tour of all time.
“The Tortured Poets Department” dropped April 19 to record-shattering sales and streaming numbers. The 16-track album, and its 15-track counterpart subtitled “The Anthology” surprise-released last Friday, has already been streamed more than 1 billion times on Spotify as of Wednesday. That makes it the most-streamed album in one week in the streaming platform’s history. It previously earned the biggest single-day Spotify streams for an album with more than 300 million streams, shattering her own record with “ Midnights ” by more than 100 million. The album has sold more than 700,000 vinyl copies as of Tuesday, shattering her own record for the biggest vinyl sales week. Swift is on track to nab her biggest debut for an album on the Billboard charts yet: Billboard reported the album earned a massive 2.5 million album equivalent units in its first six days, consisting of 1.85 million in sales and the rest via streaming.

Taylor Swift’s Trainer Reveals Her Eras Workout Routine—And His Identity
By Margaux Anbouba
Don Arnold/TAS24/Getty Images
Do we really have the same amount of hours in the day as Taylor Swift ? It’s hard for me to imagine—she’s writing entire surprise albums while on the highest-grossing tour in history for a different Grammy-winning album ; I’m having trouble balancing finishing my laundry, finding time to eat lunch, and getting in my 10,000 steps.
“Her work ethic is just incredible,” Kirk Myers tells me over Zoom. He would know: The founder of New York and L.A.’s Dogpound Gym has been training the star for almost a decade now. “I’m ready to be known as ‘Taylor Swift’s trainer.’ I don’t think there’s a cooler title out there.”
Myers has seen Swift through many of her Eras (he came on during the 1989 album)—but he’s also had quite a few of his own. A self-described “husky” child, he got into fitness and training through a love of sports, though a few run-ins with a heart condition quickly derailed his calling. After moving to New York City to be near family, he was able to return to training clients at a gym in Soho and quickly got two new clients: His future business partner and CEO Jenny Liu and his first celebrity client Hugh Jackman. “I had a friend that really made an amazing transformation in 30 days and I asked, ‘What the hell happened to you? Who is training you?’ All he said was ‘Kirk’” Liu recalls. “I was like, ‘Well, sign me up for Kirk because I have a wedding to get ready for.’”
From there, Myers clientele grew and his gym Dogpound was born. Word of mouth was Myers’s greatest calling card—I can practically feel his fantastic energy beaming through the Wifi. “It’s mostly one-on-one training, where I really look at your goals and what you are specifically trying to hit.” The goals can be a wedding, hitting a fitness personal record, or an upcoming role in a film. But each session has turned Myers into a fitness kingmaker—or in the case of Swift, queenmaker.
“I want you to come by and try the Taylor routine soon,” he says toward the end of our interview. “Though it’s really hard, some people would probably throw up or have to lay down on the floor if they trained like her,” he ends with a laugh. I mention that I basically haven’t exercised since before the pandemic. “Oh, then you’ll definitely throw up.”
Taylor Swift’s Workout Routine
“It’s tailored,” says Myers with an emphasis on the pun. “We approached her training for the Eras tour with the mindset like a professional athlete. There was an ‘off-season’ when she wasn’t touring and ‘in-season’ when she was.” Off-season training with Swift and Myers is intense, to say the least: “When she’s not touring, we’re in the gym up to six days a week for sometimes two hours a day.” The focuses are strength, conditioning, and targeting her core, which is key to help her while singing, dancing, and the like.
But even during the in season, things were on: “Taylor trained during the entire tour. We would average two times a week. In-season training was more about maintenance, and so it was more like stability, mobility, biomechanics.” Myers worked with Amin Javid, DC, an L.A.-based chiropractic physician, to implement recovery techniques. “If you’ve seen the show, you know how intense it is physically. Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few off days and you’re still showing up to gym. That’s Taylor.”
How to Get Fit Like Taylor Swift
If you’re in New York or Los Angeles, you can get a Dogpound membership to help you reach your goals and literally train like Taylor. Her time spent in the gym was all “strength and conditioning”—while Swift did cardio on her own. “One thing that’s important to focus on when you’re working on your core strength is actually breathing,” Myers advises. “I know it’s outside the box, but fully breathing through workouts helps strengthen your core.”
“Taylor is the most resilient person I have ever met,” Myers adds. “It’s super-inspiring to see her consistently overcome obstacles and become better and stronger in the end. This also translates into her training and throughout her workouts. I give her a difficult exercise or challenging workout, not only is she able to complete and push through it—but she also perseveres, moving forward into the next exercise. This ultimately makes her stronger, better, and faster.”
On How He and Taylor Met
“It’s not really that exciting of a story,” Myers says humbly. “We met through friends, though I can’t say what friend.” And yes, he was already a fan. Some of his favorite songs include “Shake It Off,” “22” and “If I Were a Man.” “I’ve never intentionally played her music while we are training, but I love it, so yes at times it’s come on the playlist.”
Kirk Myers’s Other Celebrity Clients
Hugh Jackman may have been Myers’s first celebrity client, but he certainly wasn’t his last. Dogpound regular Fabien Baron actually designed the gym’s logo; models Adriana Lima, Jasmine Tookes, Kaia Gerber, and Karlie Kloss all have trained with him; as well as Tom Holland, Jacob Elordi, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Eva Longoria.

‘I’m ready to be known as Taylor Swift’s trainer,’ says KC native, UMKC grad to Vogue
W hen she sings “The 1” during her Eras Tour concerts Taylor Swift lays on the grassy roof of a cabin then climbs down on steps built into the steep incline.
At one of her Tokyo Dome concerts in February her foot caught on the hem of her gown. She stumbled forward but quickly caught herself. It scared her. Fans gasped.
“My life flashed before my eyes. Yeah,” she told them when she reached the safety of the stage. “Nah, I’m good, it’s all good. Everything’s fine, everything’s great. I’m just so happy that I didn’t fall off the Folklore cabin .”
It’s obvious watching video of the headline-making close call that it took every ounce of her core strength to steady herself and stay upright.
And the fitness guru who helped strengthen those core muscles, as well as prepare the star for 152 shows in 54 cities worldwide , hails from Kansas City.
“I’m ready to be known as ‘Taylor Swift’s trainer,’” Kirk Myers told Vogue last week . “I don’t think there’s a cooler title out there.”
Myers founded the famous Dogpound gym in New York City and Los Angeles, known for an elite clientele that has included Justin Bieber, Tom Holland, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Hugh Jackman and models Karlie Kloss, Kaia Gerber and Adriana Lima.
Swift and Kelce are reportedly staying at her home in Los Angeles during her tour break. Last month they worked out together at the Dogpound in West Hollywood. Tabloids reported they had the gym to themselves and members were left waiting outside. (The gym later denied members had to wait two hours to get in.)
In 2018 Business Insider declared Dogpound “the coolest, most Instagrammed gym in New York. ”
Myers began training Swift when her “1989” album debuted nearly a decade ago. He told Vogue he met her through friends — “it’s not really that exciting of a story” — and then joined the chorus of people who gush over Swift’s strong work ethic.
In a video she posted last week showing 14 quick snippets of her life at home she was seen briefly working on her glutes at Dogpound, perched on her hands and knees atop a box and doing leg lifts with weights fastened around each ankle.
That’s the Dogpound “booty builder.”
“We approached her training for the Eras tour with the mindset like a professional athlete,” Myers told Vogue. “There was an ‘off-season’ when she wasn’t touring and ‘in-season’ when she was.
“When she’s not touring, we’re in the gym up to six days a week for sometimes two hours a day.”
In an interview with his alma mater in February, Myers said he followed his sister to UMKC where she went to law school. He wanted a career in fitness to save lives.
In high school Myers weighed more than 300 pounds and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure when he was 21, Business Insider reported shortly after Myers became a name in the fitness industry.
“I had my own battles with obesity at a very young age to the point where I almost died,” Myers told UMKC. “I was determined to get myself healthy and fit and was able to lose weight. I set out to help others and from then on that’s been my mission and I love it.
“I ended up losing 100 pounds during my time at UMKC.”
No treadmills at Dogpound
When he moved to New York City in 2011 Myers began training clients at a gym in Soho where his clients included Jackman, his first celebrity client, and Jenny Liu, who eventually became his business partner.
“I had a friend that really made an amazing transformation in 30 days and I asked, ‘What the hell happened to you? Who is training you?’” Liu told Vogue.
“All he said was ‘Kirk.’ I was like, ‘Well, sign me up for Kirk because I have a wedding to get ready for.’”
When he opened his own gym Myers was inspired to name it Dogpound because Jackman “always brought his dog around,” Myers told UMKC.
As star-powered as the clientele is, there’s nothing flashy about the gym or the workouts, Myers has said, describing his approach as an “ old-school, in-your-garage workout.” Which means no treadmills in his gyms.
With Swift, he focuses on core strength, conditioning and overall strength, he told Vogue.
“Taylor trained during the entire tour,” he told the fashion magazine. “We would average two times a week. In-season training was more about maintenance, and so it was more like stability, mobility, biomechanics.
“If you’ve seen the show, you know how intense it is physically. Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few off days and you’re still showing up to gym.
“That’s Taylor.”

Taylor Swift says she ‘was a functioning alcoholic’ in new ‘TTPD’ song ‘Fortnight’

Taylor Swift hints at once having a drinking problem in her highly anticipated new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
“I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she sings in the album’s opening track, “Fortnight.” “I was a functioning alcoholic ’til nobody noticed my new aesthetic.”
While Swift sings in first person, it’s unclear whether the line is completely anecdotal or if she took some creative liberties.
The songstress revealed in December 2023 that she had stopped drinking months before embarking on her rigorous Eras Tour .
Despite admittedly touring “like a frat guy” in the past, Swift ultimately decided to keep her sober lifestyle going while on the road.
“Doing that show with a hangover … I don’t want to know that world,” she told Time.
However, the 14-time Grammy winner has loosened her reins and has been spotted indulging in a drink or two while hanging out with boyfriend Travis Kelce.
While it’s unclear if Swift’s “Fortnight” lyrics were about herself, fans might get a better understanding of the meaning behind the Post Malone duet in the upcoming music video, which is set to drop at 8 p.m. ET.
Swift, 34, announced that “Fortnight” was the record’s lead single and getting a video on Thursday afternoon.
“I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever,” the songstress wrote on Instagram. “I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight.”
Swift also teased a potential fan interactive challenge called the “For a Fortnight Challenge.” However, she did not reveal any other details about it.
Malone has also spoken candidly about his struggles with alcohol in the past, telling Howard Stern in 2022 that he was “bodying fifths” of vodka regularly while just “trying to hang in there.”

“It’s the guidance out of the dark into the light … She saved my f—ing life — it’s pretty epic.”
The “Cruel Summer” singer briefly met Malone in 2018 at the Billboard Music Awards, where she saw him backstage and congratulated him on the success of his song “Better Now.”
Although the pair didn’t collaborate until now, they have always had nothing but great things to say about one another.
“I recently got to hang out with her and she is genuinely one of the most kind and considerate people [and] a f—king hell of a songwriter,” Post said of Swift in an interview with Howard Stern in October 2023.
The “Congratulations” singer even linked up with Swift and Kelce in Las Vegas following the former’s Super Bowl win.
Malone, who performed “America the Beautiful” at the big game, joined the couple and the entire Kansas City Chiefs team at Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World Las Vegas, where they were all seen hanging out and drinking together.

All the proof Taylor Swift is making first major change to Eras Tour
Welcome to "The Tortured Poets Department" (Eras Tour Version).
It looks like Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour is getting a brand new era, straight from the Tortured Poets Department .
Since the announcement of her new 11th studio album ( which dropped April 19 ), fans have been anxiously waiting to see if her worldwide, career-spanning tour would get a shakeup to accommodate the new music. While Swift is remaining mum, and a rep for the singer didn't respond to an EW request for comment, a new YouTube Short posted to Swift's account seems to provide all the clarity Swifties needed that a change is imminent.
In the video, which is part of Swift's #ForAFortnightChallenge tied to the album's first single, "Fortnight," the 14-time Grammy winner can be seen rehearsing for tour with her backup dancers. While some shots are obviously from the Folklore , Lover , and other existing "eras" of the show, several blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments have never been seen before.
In one, Swift, clad in workout gear, appears to be wearing the same boots seen in her "Fortnight" video . She's holding on to a banister that looks like it has the Tortured Poets Department emblem on it — the "P" and the "D" can just be made out.
taylor swift/youtube
Although the video is in grayscale, and therefore exact colors are impossible to identify for sure, several shots feature what looks like a new white-ish mic, which has never been seen before. The new era's color, of course, is also an off-white hue.
Perhaps the most interesting moment of the new clip, though, is one that features what looks like new choreography and costumes. Swift's backup dancers can be seen in top hats and dancing with canes, while she sings in the front middle of the group — choreography and props which have so far not been featured in the concert.
This is all speculative until the tour resumes in Paris, France, on May 9, of course, but if Swift is adding a whole new era, it would mark the first major change to the setlist since Swift began performing it last March.
Throughout the tour, she's made little swaps here or there: She added performances with some of the artists who opened for her like HAIM or Phoebe Bridgers, and she added "Long Live" to the Speak Now section when that re-recorded album released during tour. She also swapped out "Invisible String" for the "The 1" in the Folklore section after news of her split with Joe Alwyn broke.
But, nothing has majorly been added or subtracted from the show, which is already a whopping three-and-a-half hours long. Now, if anyone could pull off adding more runtime to Eras, it's the "Mastermind" herself, but it's more likely that some songs will be getting cut to make room for new material. Fans have theorized that the tracks that didn't make it into the VOD rental of the Eras Tour concert film — "The Archer," "Wildest Dreams," "Cardigan," and "Long Live" — could be first on the chopping block, but we'll just have to wait and see what Ms. Swift has up her cryptic and Machiavellian sleeve.

Taylor Swift’s trainer reveals her Eras workout routine
By MARGAUX ANBOUBA
22 April 2024
Strength, conditioning and core work made up most of the Grammy-winning star's time in the gym while training for her world tour
Do we all really have the same amount of hours in our day as Taylor Swift? It’s hard for me to imagine—she’s writing entire surprise albums while on the highest-grossing tour in history for a different Grammy-winning album; I’m having trouble balancing finishing my laundry, finding time to eat lunch, and getting in my 10,000 steps.
“Her work ethic is just incredible,” Kirk Myers tells me over Zoom. He would know: the owner of New York and LA’s Dogpound Gym has been training the star for almost a decade now. “I’m ready to be known as ‘Taylor Swift’s trainer’. I don’t think there’s a cooler title out there.”
Myers has seen Swift through many of her Eras (he came on board during the 1989 album)—but he’s also had quite a few of his own. A self-described “husky” child, he got into fitness and training through a love of sports, though a few run-ins with a heart condition quickly derailed his calling. After moving to New York City to be near family, he was able to return to training at a gym in Soho and quickly acquired two new clients: his future business partner and CEO Jenny Liu, and his first celebrity signing, Hugh Jackman. “I had a friend that really made an amazing transformation in 30 days and I asked, ‘What the hell happened to you? Who is training you?’ All he said was, ‘Kirk’,” Liu recalls. “I was like, ‘Well, sign me up for Kirk because I have a wedding to get ready for.’”
From there, Myers clientele grew, and his gym Dogpound was born. Word of mouth was Myers’s greatest calling card—I can practically feel his energy through the WiFi. “It’s mostly one-on-one training, where I really look at your goals and what you are specifically trying to hit.” The goals might be a wedding , hitting a fitness personal record, or an upcoming role in a film.
“I want you to come by and try the Taylor routine soon,” he says towards the end of our interview.
“We approached her training for the Eras tour with the mindset of a professional athlete. There was an ‘off-season’ when she wasn’t touring and ‘in-season’ when she was.” Off-season training with Swift and Myers is intense, to say the least: “When she’s not touring, we’re in the gym up to six days a week for sometimes two hours a day.” The focuses are strength, conditioning, and targeting her core.
“Taylor trained during the entire tour. We would average two times a week. In-season training was more about maintenance, and so it was more like stability, mobility, biomechanics.” Myers worked with Dr Amin Javid, an LA-based chiropractic physician, to implement recovery techniques. “If you’ve seen the show, you know how intense it is physically. Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few off days and you’re still showing up to the gym. That’s Taylor.”
How to get fit like Taylor
Her time in the gym was all about “strength and conditioning”—while Swift did cardio on her own. “One thing that’s important to focus on when you’re working on your core strength is actually breathing,” Myers advises. “I know it’s outside the box, but fully breathing through workouts helps strengthen your core.”
“Taylor is the most resilient person I have ever met,” Myers adds. “It’s super inspiring to see her consistently overcome obstacles and become better and stronger in the end. This also translates into her training and throughout her workouts. I give her a difficult exercise or challenging workout… not only is she able to complete and push through it—but she also perseveres, moving forward into the next exercise. This ultimately makes her stronger, better and faster.”
On how he and Taylor met
“It’s not really that exciting of a story,” Myers says. “We met through friends—though I can’t say what friend.” And yes, he was already a fan. Some of his favourite songs include ‘Shake It Off’, ’22’ and ‘If I Were a Man’. “I’ve never intentionally played her music while we are training, but I love it, so yes, at times it’s come on the playlist.”
Kirk Myer’s other celebrity clients
Hugh Jackman may have been Myers’s first celebrity client, but he certainly wasn’t his last. Dogpound regular Fabien Baron actually designed the gym’s logo; models Adriana Lima, Jasmine Tookes, Kaia Gerber and Karlie Kloss have all trained with him; as have Tom Holland, Jacob Elordi, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Eva Longoria.

Florence Welch Talks Down-Time, Taylor Swift And Her Proms Debut
By Kerry McDermott
Florence Welch is supposed to be on a break. After the Dance Fever tour drew to an earlier-than-expected close last summer, the Florence and the Machine frontwoman was deep in the “hibernation period” that traditionally follows a stretch of her famously energetic live performances. “There’s always a period where I’m like, okay, I’m not singing!” she says, laughing. “I’m not doing shows for a while.”
So why is it, then, that the flame-haired singer is currently on the hunt for old medieval English instruments? The answer is an unexpected offer she couldn’t refuse. Vogue can exclusively reveal that Florence will make her BBC Proms debut this year, resurrecting her beloved 2009 album Lungs with the backing of an orchestra at London’s Royal Albert Hall, in what will be her only live UK gig this year. “When [the invitation] came in, they were like, ‘We know you’re off, but would you…?’ and I was like, ‘Yes!’”
“I’m so honoured,” continues Florence, an indie icon whose radio at home in south London is nonetheless tuned permanently to Radio 3. “The background to life in my house is classical music, and especially the more obscure things. So it’s a really exciting thing to be asked to do – the Proms is just so special.”
Any lutes or harps the 37-year-old manages to lay her hands on between now and 11 September would lend themselves well to the sweeping drama of early tracks such as “Dog Days Are Over” and “Cosmic Love”, but Welch is most eager to get her teeth into what she calls the “swampy, south London, guitar-y” numbers from Lungs . “‘Girl With One Eye’ and ‘My Boy Builds Coffins’ and ‘Kiss With a Fist’,” she reels off. “It’s actually the ones you’d think wouldn’t work orchestrally that I’m interested to figure out.”
More broadly, Welch seems to be looking forward to a second run at the “handmade, personal, rough around the edges” record that made her a star aged 23. “When you’re young you’re so unaware of what you’re doing, or where it will go or how it will last, or honestly, if it will be taken seriously – especially as a young woman,” she says. “It’s so easy to go back and see the cracks in your work. You go back and think, urgh, I would have done this better, or I would have done that differently.”
By Laura Jackson
By Maria Ward
By Alice Newbold
Listening to Lungs now, 15 years on from that “messy, chaotic period of time” when she was breaking through, Welch feels she can almost “hear, sonically, where the pressure starts building up…” A bit like reading an old diary, I suggest? “It’s exactly like that! I think it’s just that psychological thing of knowing when Florence and the Machine was starting to pick up the pace. To be able to go back and revisit it from a more established place… it’s sort of healing, in a way.”
We can’t discuss music that evokes messy, chaotic periods in the lives of millennial women without mentioning “Florida!!!”, Florence’s guest appearance on her friend Taylor Swift’s new album. Was she prepared for the avalanche of internet discourse that greeted The Tortured Poets Department ? “I almost didn’t think of the scale of it,” confesses Welch, laughing. “There’s the sort of bigness of [Taylor Swift the phenomenon], and then there’s the Taylor I spend time with in the studio, who is just the sweetest and most down to earth.” The pop superstar came to Florence with “a concept and a story” for the track [ Taylor has said it’s about the desire to reinvent yourself after heartbreak – some fans have other theories ], which is “my favourite way to start songwriting”, Florence says. “We had such a fun time. And then when it came out I was like, ‘Oh, shit!’”
Swift is due to bring her record-breaking Eras tour – which has seen the likes of Phoebe Bridgers and Ice Spice joining her on stage in the US – to the UK this summer. Could Florence be persuaded to break her self-imposed hiatus one more time for another live performance with Taylor? If she could, she’s not telling. “If I was gonna do it, it would be a surprise.”
The 2024 BBC Proms will run from 19 July to 14 September, and tickets will go on sale from 18 May. Visit the website for the full programme and to book
