This August, The Strokes have two North American concerts lined up this August — and for fans wondering “Is This It,” we can confirm, it is.

First up, the legendary NYC band heads southwest to perform with opening act Weyes Blood at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Monday, Aug. 14.

Five days later, they’ll return home for a one-off gig at Forest Hills, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 19 with special guest singer Angel Olsen, comedian Seaton Smith and Promiseland aka Johann Rashid.

Need last-minute tickets to see Julian Casablancas belt out “Someday,” “Reptilia,” “Last Nite,” “12:51,” “You Only Live Once” and bangers from their 2021 Grammy-winning album “The New Abnormal?”

Well, it’s not too late.

Seats are available for both shows — they’re just not cheap.

The lowest price for the two concerts, at the time of publication, is $139 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Weyes Blood is the brainchild of singer Natalie Laura Mering. Her nostalgic, yearning, lush and lo-fi music is the perfect complement to The Strokes’ brash rock. We recommend checking out her most-streamed song “Andromeda” for a sample of her sound.

Angel Olsen has a voice you can’t get out of your head. We mean that in a good way. Switching from bold to vulnerable — sometimes in a single track — she captivates listeners with her refreshingly honest vocals. While she’s more well-known for other songs, for us, we suggest starting with her incredible cover of Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without A Face.”

Seaton Smith wows audiences all over North America on a nightly basis. Now, the “Mulaney” actor (remember when John Mulaney had a sitcom on Fox?) and comic will deliver laughs poking fun at his past, society as a whole and maybe even throw in a little crowd work when he performs in Queens.

Promised Land wears many hats. Johann Rashid plays punk-like music, does performance art, and screens video at his live shows. These shows are not to be missed — he often leaves the stage with “broken ribs, bloody gashes, or jalapeno-infused tequila in his eyes” according to his bio . Gnarly.

The Strokes are unquestionably one of the best bands out there, and you can really tell that they have been influenced by The Doors. I love The Doors and so I love The Strokes.

Just like Jim Morrison, the lead singer of The Strokes (Julian Casablancas) has an element of shyness to him. The band works together very well and they just look like they belong together: if you watch Fab Moretti (the drummer), he's always looking up and watching the other players really intensely. I really enjoy watching them play together and I love to see them live. They don’t talk to the audience much, and mainly just focus on playing, but they do make some contact with the audience. You can tell that their fans really love them and their concerts are always filled with good people.

Due to the fact that they are so popular they usually play for really large crowds, but if you are very lucky you can catch one of their smaller more intimate performances. I've only ever managed to see them with a large crowd, but I have to say it was still really fun. You get a much bigger atmosphere when there are more people; everyone is so excited, but Julian looks so cool and reserved in his leather coat and sunglasses.

Since I've been a fan of theirs (for more than 10 years), I really think that The Strokes are getting better over time and that is good because I want them to be around for a long time!

I was lucky enough to see the Strokes at Governor's Ball in 2014. It had been 3 years since legendary rock band The Strokes had played a show. They surprised New York with a pop up Governor's Ball pre-party show a week prior so it was their second show back after not touring their latest album. Either way, it felt just as special to be their first festival show in a while. I have never had a better concert experience than my Strokes show. Between exploding with "Barely Legal" and ending with "New York City Cops," all 5 albums were touched upon. Frontman Julian Casablancas is extremely confident in the best way possible. He interacted with the audience, sang every song perfectly and messed around with other bandmates during some songs. He even goofily covered Nikolai's eyes while dancing around stage. The fact that there were times when the crowd was singing guitar riffs louder than they were being played is a sign of an amazing show in my opinion. The crowd was on fire and it was obvious the Strokes fed off this energy in an amazing way.

If the Strokes come back for a real tour, do NOT miss out on the opportunity to see them; the show will be so good you'll get chills thinking about it even a month later.

It’s official: they’re back.

The Strokes played in Berlin their first show (in a venue) in Europe in 9 years with a solid combination of their 3 first records, one song from Come Down Machine and 2 new songs (The Adults are Talking and Bad Decisions).

They played with a great mood between them and we could see one of the best Casablancas, joking with the band and the crowd, even singing Last Nite jumping to the public.

I hope this is just the beginning and they play in more venues than during last 14 years.

As someone who grew up listening to The Strokes and holding this band in high regard, it kills me to say that this show was a major disappointment.

Nobody could hear Julian's vocals. I'm not sure if the instruments were too loud or if Julian's mic was indeed too loud, but the fact of the matter is that you could not hear Julian at all.

Besides that, the band themselves sounded awesome and seeing Albert go off during Last Nite was simply awesome. Singing along with the whole crowd to classics like 12:51, Reptillia, and Hard to Explain felt like a dream.

The Floor GA tickets were not cheap and considering the major flaw that basically ruined the show, I can't say I would ever go out of my way to see The Strokes again if they toured nearby.

I have to go see them again. Their music got me threw some dark times

I recently saw the Strokes at the Forum in LA. It twas my first time and they were tight. Julian's falsetto was on point and I got no complaints. I will definitely be seeing them again! We are lucky that they are still together.

Best concert of my life. To see such a legendary band in such a small venue was, well, Positively Divine. Truly one of the best concerts I've ever attended and I go to a lot of concerts. love, Love, LOVED IT!

The Strokes were awesome in the auditorium and as I was in the upper terrace I had the perfect view. Made lots of friendships in Belfast aswell on the night through love of the strokes music and live music.

Are they ever going to tour again? Best band and concert and would love to see them live again. We need the Strokes amazing energy and creativity to grace the stages again. please come back

The Strokes Add New Dates to Limited North American Run

The Strokes have announced a limited run of North American dates set to launch in March.

The Strokes have added a few dates to their North American run.

As previously announced, the band will perform on March 9 at WaMu Theater in Seattle and March 14 at The Forum in Los Angeles.

Special guests King Princess and Alvvays will join The Strokes in L.A. Alvvays will also join for Seattle and Vancouver.

Kendrick Lamar, Haim, The Strokes Confirmed for Roskilde Festival

The Strokes are singer Julian Casablancas , guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr, bassist Nikolai Fraiture and drummer Fabrizio Moretti. The group’s first album in seven years, The New Abnormal , is due April 10 via Cult/RCA.

Tickets for the new dates will go on sale Friday, March 13 at 10:00 a.m. CT.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have enlisted a heavy-hitting lineup of support acts for a 2023 tour of North America and Europe. The Strokes , St. Vincent, the Mars Volta, Thundercat, and City and Colour will open for the North American shows, which kick off next March in Vancouver at BC Place. Iggy Pop and the Roots will join the band on select European dates, and King Princess will play a string of shows on both legs of the 23-date tour.

Popular on Variety

The band recently wrapped their largest tour yet, a 40-date stadium run that spanned cities like London, Paris, Los Angeles and more. Artists such as A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak, Beck, Haim and more joined the band as supporting acts through 2022.

Tickets for the 2023 run go on sale starting Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. local time at  redhotchilipeppers.com .

The Strokes Add U.S. Tour Dates

The Strokes have announced new tour dates around the release of The New Abnormal , their first album in seven years. Following a series of shows this month (including U.S. stops featuring support from Alvvays and King Princess), they’ll play in New Orleans, Austin, and Houston in May. Red Hot Chili Peppers will embark on another huge tour in 2023.

Beginning in March, the band will play a series of stadium shows and festivals across North America, the UK, and Canada. The North American run includes stops in Vancouver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Phoenix, and Houston, as well as an appearance at Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Meanwhile, the European leg boasts festival appearances at The Netherlands’ Pinkpop, Belgium’s Rock Werchter, Spain’s Mad Cool Festival, and Portugal’s NOS Alive.

Throughout the trek, Chili Peppers will be joined by a rotating cast of big-name openers, including The Strokes , Iggy Pop , The Mars Volta , St. Vincent , The Roots , Thundercat , and King Princess . Check out the full schedule of who is playing when below.

Tickets go on sale starting Friday, December 9th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . A Live Nation pre-sale will take place one day earlier on Thursday, December 8th (using access code CHEER ).

The upcoming tour comes in continued support of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ pair of 2022 albums, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen . The two releases marked the band’s first records with guitarist John Frusciante since 2006. 2024 Masters one and done picks, DFS lineups, sleepers, fantasy golf projections, longshots by PGA expert

The 2024 Masters gets underway on Thursday from Augusta National Golf Club at 10:30 a.m. ET, a two-and-a-half hour delay due to storms. No golfer around the world is playing better right now than World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler. The 2022 winner of this event, Scheffler won the elevated Arnold Palmer Invitational in March and again the following week at the Players Championship. He then nearly won for the third straight tournament, missing a putt on the 72nd hole to force a playoff at the Houston Open. The tee-to-green specialist gained 17 strokes on the field when he won here in 2022 and will try to continue his torrid run. Given his run of dominant play, should Scheffler be the top choice when constructing your 2024 Masters DFS picks, 2024 Masters fantasy golf rankings, and 2024 Masters one and done strategy? Before locking in your 2024 Masters one and done picks, Masters DFS lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel, and fantasy golf projections, you need to see what SportsLine DFS pro and PGA expert Mike McClure has to say . 

McClure is a DFS legend with over $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA picks dating back to the PGA Tour restart in June of 2020. At the Cognizant Classic, McClure's top one and done pick, Min Woo Lee, finished in a tie for second place. Finally, at the Arnold Palmer Invitation, another signature event, McClure recommended using Scheffler and Will Zalatoris. The result: Scheffler won the event by five strokes, and Zalatoris finished in fourth place.

One of McClure's top One and Done picks for the Masters is Brooks Koepka. Though his recent form hasn't been overly impressive, with only one top-10 finish in 2024, Koepka is a 'big game hunter' who thrives in major tournaments. In his last five Masters Tournaments, the American has two second place finishes and a seventh.

The winner of last year's PGA Championship, Koepka has four wins and 12 top-10 finishes in his last 21 majors. With a green jacket because his most treasured goal going forward, Koepka is a viable play again at Augusta. One golfer McClure is targeting in his 2024 Masters DFS lineups is Justin Thomas. The 15-time PGA Tour winner has long been considered one of the top ball-strikers and irons players in the world and has a proven track record of success in big events. Thomas has two career major championships and six top-25 finishes in eight career starts at Augusta National.

Thomas' ability to card birdies and eagles makes him standout among the field when building Masters DFS lineups. He enters Masters week ranked sixth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained on approach (0.795) and 12th in strokes gained tee-to-green (1.124). Top 2024 Masters Fantasy Golf picks, projections

One of McClure's top fantasy golf picks is Scottie Scheffler. He's won eight times in the last 26 months and been No. 1 in the world for the last 47 weeks in a row (81 total). You'll pay a premium for Scheffler and he'll be highly rostered in Masters DFS tournaments as well as the first player off the board in any draft format, but that's a price you should be willing to play considering how dominant he's been of late.

Scheffler has two wins and a runner-up finish over his last three starts, which happens to coincide with a putter change that has helped make him nearly a tour-average putter. Considering that he's already the world's best ball-striker (2.798 strokes gained: tee-to-green per round), his game could be elevated. The Corrs announce Australian and New Zealand tour dates for 2023

Natalie Imbruglia will support across the band's first full-scale national tour in over 20 years

The Corrs have announced a tour for Australia and New Zealand, which will kick off towards the end of 2023.

The Irish band originally shared news of the tour to social media over the weekend (December 4). At the time, they revealed that the Australian run of shows would take place throughout October and November next year, and that they’d be joined on the tour by support acts Natalie Imbruglia , Toni Childs, and Germein. The cities on the tour were confirmed, but not the dates and venues themselves.

Today (December 7), the full itinerary of the Australian tour has been revealed – with information on their New Zealand tour reportedly “to follow”. It can be viewed below, along with an official announcement post from the Corrs’ social media:

A pre-sale run by the tour promoter, One World Entertainment, will take place on Monday December 12 from 9am local time. General sale will follow 24 hours later, at 9am local time on Tuesday December 13. Fans can sign up for information on the pre-sale here.

The announcement of The Corrs’ Australian tour comes just over a week after their one-off performance at Hunter Valley’s Hope Estate Winery. The show not only marked the band’s first Australian appearance since 2001, but their first show at all since 2017. They were joined at that gig by Scottish pop band Wet Wet Wet , as well as Darlinghurst and Gaudion.

The Hunter Valley show was notable for its use of 500 programmed drones, which moved in sync with the final two songs of The Corrs’ setlist. Throughout the night, The Corrs played tracks from the full breadth of their discography, including their ARIA Top Ten singles ‘Runaway’ and ‘Breathless’.

Prior to that, The Corrs held a cocktail party in Sydney on November 25, where they were interviewed by entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins, quizzed during an audience Q&A session and participated in meet-and-greet opportunities with fans.

The Corrs were formed in 1990 by the namesake Corr siblings: Sharon, Caroline, Jim and Andrea. The band’s first four albums during their initial run from 1990 to 2006 were particularly popular in Australia, with each being certified Platinum locally. The Corrs’ last studio album, ‘Jupiter Calling’, arrived in November 2017.
