Brilliant day out

I've travelled with Timewells for a number of years & have always enjoyed my trips. The drivers have been courteous & very helpful, especially to customers who needed assistance. Paul particularly, when we went to London there were a few passengers who had " wheelies ", he was so good to them & always with a smile, so Thank you, I hope to be back travelling again soon.

we were at our collection point for the day trip to the lake district from st. george`s hall in liverpool for 8.40a.m. in the morning. this day trip was still a test run for this company to see if they came up trumps with the customer service that should be received from any travel company whatever they are. sadly when we arrived at the service station near lancaster, a lady passenger was late arriving back on board from the toilet stop. the driver, then decided to start telling us about the itinerary while we were still parked in the car park of the service station. the driver, whilst speaking to us who was called paul then told us we would end up in ambleside, which was completely wrong in the first place, as we were ending up in bowness instead. the driver paul said very quickly when you come to find the coach in bowness, it will be on the right hand side just by the cafe on the front. the driver did not mention anything about meeting the coach in the coach car park either. paul, then suddenly asked the passengers on the coach if everyone was familar with bowness? half the passengers said not and the other half said yes. that should have been a red flag to the driver paul, so when we arrived at the haverthwaite railway car park,, paul should have asked every passenger getting off the coach that they were completely sure were to meet the coach in bowness, before everyone boarded the train leaving for lakeside. from the point my husband and i had some kind of an afternoon privaltely in bowness. then it came to wait for the coach that was due to leave for 4.45 p.m. , we were standing along with 6 other passengers all in the same place near the pier on the front were timewells coaches have picked up before. it came to the point were my husband even went and checked the coach park just to make sure if he could see the coach at all, he was not able to as we then found the coach was parked further back in the coach preventing you from seeing the coach at all. we continued waiting, and then through the bushed appeared the coach driver paul and just rudely said follow me. as the 8 of us then attempted to board the coach, we were met with hands clapping, and to top it off rudeness from a husband and wfe seating in seats 5 and 6. this husband, then decided that he had the right to clench his fists and shout at all 8 of us boarding the coach and proceeded to say "what do you not understand about the time of being back at the coach, and what do you not understand about car parks"! on hearing this my husband and i started to get into our coach seats, as we were doing this the wife of this husband, then started to argue with one of the other 6 passengers who was with us and was boarding late, and started to say this "it would be nice if someone said sorry"this old lady, then was forced to argue with this wife in the aisle of the coach, whilst we were still in the coach park of bowness. at no time did the coach driver called paul get out of his seat to tell the two passengers in seat 5 and 6 you need to stop and , you are out of order. we travelled back to liverpool, with me keeping one eye on this couple in seats 5 and 6, just in case they tried to say anything else to us. this couple got of at maghull, and continued their journey home to either southport, maghull and those areas by a feeder coach of timewells. this couple were not late, as they still had to wait for this little coach the size of a wine cork to take them home. this husband seating in seat 6 was rude and offensive, he was not the driver and did not own timewells and so his remarks and attitude were disgusting and offensive. to the degree that at bowness we nearly called the police, and if we had the coach would have been delayed completely from leaving the car park at bowness. on arriving at st. geore`s hall back again that evening, on leaving the coach i told the driver paul, that i would be complaing on monday morning, about the lack of information from himself the driver. his reply which was downright rude, was i did tell you all over 6 times. i immediately replied with "it doesn not matter how many times you tell a customer, the point is you failed to make sure all passengers knew were to pick up the coach in the first place. the man in the office of timewells at 10.06 a.m. was rude, and actually made an excuse that he wanted to get off the phone to answer other calls. he then slammed the phone down, but this after saying that the owner and manager were not available.afer phoning back after 20 minutes continuous attempts, the same man answered the phone again, on doing this i then had to tell him how rude and disgusting his behaviour was on the phone. we will never use timewells for day trips or holidays of any kind in the future as they totally have no customer service, they do not know how to handle complaints, and when they do get complaints they do not know how to respond in the correct manner, they do not use any couriers on board their coachs for their day trips, and their drivers complain about the owner of timewells which we have heard completely whilst on board the coaches. so my advice is avoid timewells travel ltd, for day trips or holidays at all costs.

I had a trip to Buxton , I called the office to ask about the cleaning of the bus , due to corona virus , they said in quite a aggressive attitude we clean our buses every day , no attempt to deliver customer care , I was the first pick up in the morning ,and to my utter disbelief the bus was not cleaned ,the toilet had no water to wash my hands , my sister is a high risk person if she catches the virus ,no point complaining , they are not interested ,seems to me money is more important to them .I will not be using this company again ,,very disingenuous ,beware others travellers ,there was mostly elderly people and disabled people , all high risk .

Timewell's Travel is a local Merseyside operator that offers a variety of day trips or short excursions. You can book your desired trip by simply phoning the company or by visiting your local travel agents. I have used this service many times before and visited many parts of England including Windermere, York and Snowdon which were all absolutely worth paying for as not only do you get to your required destination but your coach driver/tour guide will pass by several points along the way meaning you will visit a number of places during the trip. The service is suitable for all ages and the types of trips are relaxing ones and not like Theme Park related so it does attract a lot of the older generation. I would definitely be using this service every once in a while as I have a passion for travelling and this is the best way to do short escorted trips.

On tuesday 26th June-Chorley Market and Botany Bay. A very disappointing day out.Pick up 25 mins late.Only 2hours in Chorley.So much to do and see had no time for lunch.Spent too long at Botany Bay, everything expensive ,not the kind of building for shopping.By 4.oopm most people were outside waiting for the coach,due at 4.30pm.Cream tea not very satisfactory, scones were stale etc.,Would have been better staying in Chorley, people on the coach were very disappointed.I suggest that if you organise a further trip to Chorley, make it a one stop.Driver was not verynice and did not get a tip. Been on other day trips and thought I would give it a go, well was I wrong, Customer service is terrible, they gave me the wrong pick up time and when I complain they ignored me. Coach was half empty and driver was very plain, would never travel with them again.

More about Eastern European Tours & Holidays

The history for Eastern Europe is long. The Roman Republic/Roman empire - also the Greek/Hellenistic civilization got involved in the now Eastern European Region - culturally, linguistically as well as religiously - later Eastern Europe was invaded and occupied by the Mongols. Eastern Europe enjoyed a high standard of living in the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries and had their golden age of around 1600. War after war went on - but the major change was that after the First World War the Russian, Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman empires were broken up and a surge of ethnic nationalism created a number of new states in Eastern Europe, partly caused by the Versailles Treaty of 1919 that made that possible.

Mostly they were unable to create stable military alliances and one by one were not able to withstand Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union, which took them over between 1938 and 1945. The Second World War caused mass killing by Jews, with the Germans and the Russians crossing back and forward and during the end of the Second World War the Soviet Red Army and the Region was taken over by the Soviet Union and the Iron Curtain became reality. Finland was free but forced to be neutral in the upcoming Cold War that lasted till 1989.
