Restaurant was nicely lit and had good seating. Food portions were great and the house made sauce was well worth the visit. Delicious.

Used to work here and even after working in the kitchen for three months I am still in love with their food. Decor is on point, staff are very friendly, and the owner makes frequent trips around the joint. 10/10!

Tour of Italy hosted the birthday celebration for my wife last night. What a great time. From management to our waiters Lucas and Jadin we were treated like family. Everyone in our party gave Tour of Italy the highest of praise. We are so glad we selected this restaurant for our party.

Tour Of Italy Cafe is on the courthouse square in Greenfield, Indiana. The dishes are generous and the sauces are made in house and have lots of flavor. The salads are fresh with a variety of greens. Prices are moderate and the wait staff is courteous and attentive. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I have enjoyed having Tour of Italy in town. The staff is always friendly and it's not uncommon for the owner to come by and check on the patrons. They do have live music on occasion, which I'm a fan of. They have an art gallery upstairs, so whether you're waiting for a table or want to take in something nice, a trip upstairs is worth your time. The food is good. Every restaurant has something they do really well, for Tour of Italy, their red sauce is where it's at. Nice atmosphere and one of the nicer places to eat in Greenfield.

Saturday evening was our first visit to Tour of Italy, but, it certainly won't be the last. Excellent Italian food. I had the baked chicken parmesan and my husband and brother both had lasagna. The garlic knots are wonderful. The staff was very friendly and... attentive. Our server Anna was SUPER! Also, several gluten free options. More

Excellent hand tossed pizza. The crust was wonderful Throughout, even with just veges on it. Salads were fresh and tastey. Nice wine selection. We inadvertently choose a very sweet wine. Maybe train your staff to inform diners that wine is sweet.

A wonderful little gem of a place to have a delicious Italian meal. Surpassing the cuisine is the amazing service. I can't say enough about the friendliness of the entire staff, especially Renee. Thank you, Renee, for making us feel welcome and at home on... a packed Friday night. We can't thank you enough. We know they have great food as we've dined there several times in the last year. So we made a reservation for Saturday night @ 5:30 for a party of ten. Some of us traveled over 30 miles to get there. When the first of... our party arrived they were greeted with a sign on the door that stated "Due to staffing issues we will not have dinner services this evening", along with an apology for the inconvenience, and a thank you for our understanding. Now, if we had just traveled from a near by area that MIGHT suffice, all be it very, unprofessional However, when I made the reservation I was asked to give my phone number. Is it too much to ask for a phone call? I understand the situation with short staffing but I'm extremely disappointed in this lack of professionalism and will no longer reserve a table there due to this. Sad, because they really have great food and service. Our group enjoys dining there but we won't be back! More

My wife and I went to the Tour Of Italy on Friday night 12/04/2015. It is located in an older building, across the street from the courthouse. The owner has renovated it very nicely. It is well decorated and the seating is very comfortable. They... had a live musician playing that night and he played a lot of songs from the 70's. The music was not loud or obtrusive. We conversed with the music in the background. The prices are very comparable with the local chain restaurants. The food is MUCH better. The wait staff is well trained, pleasant and attentive. They do not hover over you. Just enough attention to make sure you dining experience is very pleasant. I read reviews from others about having to wait. We did have to wait. Not long. We were escorted up the dreadful stairway??? It is well built, solid and new. This is an older building and the ceilings were designed to be high. That is why the stairway is long. Their is a sturdy hand rail and the stair treads are new and solid. I don't know why people complain about this. It is a much better waiting area than the benches at the chain restaurants. Their is art on the wall, a menu to preview and the owner had his mother's Barbie collection on display. This is a locally owned business and the owner has taken the time to design this place to be something different and special. The food and service was excellent and moderately priced. I am happy that there is an alternative to eating at a chain restaurants. This is a very pleasant choice for dining in Greenfield. We highly recommend Tour Of Italy. Please try it out. We are confident that you will not be disappointed. More

This restaurant has opened but is not yet advertising but you wouldn't have known it from the crowds arriving one hot Friday evening in August. There was a short line when we arrived around 6pm but our name was quickly taken and invited to visit... an art gallery upstairs from the restaurant. The gallery made for a nice wait but navigating the long steep stairs might be too challenging for some seniors. There is however and outside waiting area behind the restaurant. Nevertheless, our wait was short and we were seated near the front door to the restaurant which turned out a bit uncomfortable given the door was mostly open to accommodate the wait line making it hot inside. Our waitress Haley quickly and efficiently took our orders. My wife ordered the Baked Salmon with Pasta and I ordered the "Famous" Baked Lasagna. This is my usual go to dish when trying a new Italian restaurant because to me this should be their bellwether offering. Despite the crowds that were now arriving and having to be accommodated, we received our salads fairly quickly. They were respectable enough given they are included with the order. After finishing the salads we expected there would be some wait but that wasn't the case. My Lasagna arrived piping hot but my wife's salmon was undefinable under a thick layering of pesto basil cream sauce. Nevertheless, she proclaimed her fish to tasty but a bit overwhelmed by the sauce. As to the lasagna, I've had better and have made it homemade better, but this was still a pretty good lasagna. Would I have it again, probably, but we will most likely return to try other items on their menu. One very slight complaint we had was that our waitress brought us our check without asking if we wanted dessert. In all honesty though, she was a bit hurried by the crowds and we were full anyway. The service is always good and the atmosphere nice. The staff and owner are friendly. Quite often there is live music. I’m just not crazy about the food. I like Italian, so that’s not it. It just misses the mark for me. I have tried... pizza and crust stuffed sandwich type rolls. I love garlic bread and I do not like their garlic knots. They have a funny flavor to me. I was with someone who got a caprese salad that looke really good. It will be a while before I go back. More

We were in town attending a funeral and had not eaten well for quite a while, so this new restaurant in Greenfield was just what we were looking for. Service was fast and friendly. I think the owner met us at the door and was... very welcoming. I understand if you visit on a Friday night things are a little busier and they provide a great place upstairs to wait for a table while providing beer/wine and a place to sit. The wait will be very worth while as the food is well prepared and delicious. We are going back to Greenfield in the spring under better circumstances and look forward to visiting again. More

I seldom have cash and Tour of Italy is now charging a "Technology Fee" of approximately 2.5% for using credit cards. Don't think I will be back.

Our group went to celebrate birthdays and Christmas tonight at Tour of Italy. We’ve been many times before and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. For this celebration we had a reservation for 8. Tour called to confirm and inform of their policy - 20% gratuity for this... group would be added, also one check would be given or they would split the check for credit card payers. Evidently “split the check” means they would divide it by 8…ie. so each person would pay the same amount, instead of each person could pay their dinner amount individually. Obviously some confusion was present. And they did not inform me of a “technology fee” of 4% added if the check is paid by a credit card, we (the consumer) must pay the credit company fee! This is a new policy though it is not consistent. Less than 2 weeks ago I went there with another party of 8, and was not automatically charged 20%, gratuity, we were able to pay separately via a credit card (for my husband & me) but did have to pay the technology fee. Tonight’s dinner was good but the circumstances to pay are not acceptable. Many places have increased prices (Tour of Italy too) but the additional hassle and fees associated with paying are ridiculous. And, unfortunately for this business, I will not return and will spread the word on their policies. I hope many others will also avoid businesses that make using their services difficult. I believe there are other ways to run a successful business and still retain good customer service. More

Really great food, the lasagna was spot on. The place is clean and has a charm all its own. It has some of the original brick and tin ceiling in place for a great atmosphere. The servers and staff are very friendly and attentive. Get... the clam chowder! More

Great food, great service, wonderful, cozy, authentic atmosphere. Nice wine selection. I had the lasagne with breadstick and broccoli cheese soup...yum! My husband said the Italian sub was one of the best sandwiches he has ever eaten. Highly recommend for family outing or date night!

Nestled on the east side of the Hancock County Courthouse in Greenfield, you will find a great restaurant that features a full menu of wonderful Italian dishes.

Tour of Italy Cafe features the ambiance and cuisine of Old World Italy. From hand-tossed pizzas, fresh bread, and a variety of pasta dishes, both young and old will find something to like. Everything is made the traditional way – spaghetti, calzone, ravioli, fettuccine, and Tour of Italy’s signature dish – baked lasagna. The garlic knots are out of this world! A hot crusty bread, smothered in garlic and butter – you won’t be able to eat just one. From the special simmering sauce that graces the spaghetti to the cheesy goodness of the lasagna, Tour of Italy does not disappoint.

You can relax with your beer or wine in the upstairs art gallery that features a rotating display of local artists. This space is also available to rent for small parties or events. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there is live music in the main dining room. It is a place for the whole family – casual dining inside and seasonal patio seating outside.

The food here is always amazing. My wife swears that the fettuccine alredo is the best she's had. I would definitely recommend this place.

I have never eaten spaghetti this good. Chicken Parm, chicken Alfredo, garlic knots, Venetian roll, Caprese salad all were delicious. Excellent service as well.

We purchased a huge takeout order from them and all I can say is wow! The food was great. Hostess was very sweet and everything was ready right when they said it would be. We’ll definitely be back!

Saturday evening was our first visit to Tour of Italy, but, it certainly won't be the last. Excellent Italian food. I had the baked chicken parmesan and my husband and brother both had lasagna. The garlic knots are wonderful. The staff was very friendly and... attentive. Our server Anna was SUPER! Also, several gluten free options. More

Excellent hand tossed pizza. The crust was wonderful Throughout, even with just veges on it. Salads were fresh and tastey. Nice wine selection. We inadvertently choose a very sweet wine. Maybe train your staff to inform diners that wine is sweet.

A wonderful little gem of a place to have a delicious Italian meal. Surpassing the cuisine is the amazing service. I can't say enough about the friendliness of the entire staff, especially Renee. Thank you, Renee, for making us feel welcome and at home on... a packed Friday night. We can't thank you enough. If we ever find ourselves in Greenfield again, we will definitely return to Tour of Italy! More

We know they have great food as we've dined there several times in the last year. So we made a reservation for Saturday night @ 5:30 for a party of ten. Some of us traveled over 30 miles to get there. When the first of... our party arrived they were greeted with a sign on the door that stated "Due to staffing issues we will not have dinner services this evening", along with an apology for the inconvenience, and a thank you for our understanding. Now, if we had just traveled from a near by area that MIGHT suffice, all be it very, unprofessional However, when I made the reservation I was asked to give my phone number. Is it too much to ask for a phone call? I understand the situation with short staffing but I'm extremely disappointed in this lack of professionalism and will no longer reserve a table there due to this. Sad, because they really have great food and service. Our group enjoys dining there but we won't be back! More

My wife and I went to the Tour Of Italy on Friday night 12/04/2015. It is located in an older building, across the street from the courthouse. The owner has renovated it very nicely. It is well decorated and the seating is very comfortable. They... had a live musician playing that night and he played a lot of songs from the 70's. The music was not loud or obtrusive. We conversed with the music in the background. The prices are very comparable with the local chain restaurants. The food is MUCH better. The wait staff is well trained, pleasant and attentive. They do not hover over you. Just enough attention to make sure you dining experience is very pleasant. I read reviews from others about having to wait. We did have to wait. Not long. We were escorted up the dreadful stairway??? It is well built, solid and new. This is an older building and the ceilings were designed to be high. That is why the stairway is long. Their is a sturdy hand rail and the stair treads are new and solid. I don't know why people complain about this. It is a much better waiting area than the benches at the chain restaurants. Their is art on the wall, a menu to preview and the owner had his mother's Barbie collection on display. This is a locally owned business and the owner has taken the time to design this place to be something different and special. The food and service was excellent and moderately priced. I am happy that there is an alternative to eating at a chain restaurants. This is a very pleasant choice for dining in Greenfield. We highly recommend Tour Of Italy. Please try it out. We are confident that you will not be disappointed. More

This restaurant has opened but is not yet advertising but you wouldn't have known it from the crowds arriving one hot Friday evening in August. There was a short line when we arrived around 6pm but our name was quickly taken and invited to visit... an art gallery upstairs from the restaurant. The gallery made for a nice wait but navigating the long steep stairs might be too challenging for some seniors. There is however and outside waiting area behind the restaurant. Nevertheless, our wait was short and we were seated near the front door to the restaurant which turned out a bit uncomfortable given the door was mostly open to accommodate the wait line making it hot inside. Our waitress Haley quickly and efficiently took our orders. My wife ordered the Baked Salmon with Pasta and I ordered the "Famous" Baked Lasagna. This is my usual go to dish when trying a new Italian restaurant because to me this should be their bellwether offering. Despite the crowds that were now arriving and having to be accommodated, we received our salads fairly quickly. They were respectable enough given they are included with the order. After finishing the salads we expected there would be some wait but that wasn't the case. My Lasagna arrived piping hot but my wife's salmon was undefinable under a thick layering of pesto basil cream sauce. Nevertheless, she proclaimed her fish to tasty but a bit overwhelmed by the sauce. As to the lasagna, I've had better and have made it homemade better, but this was still a pretty good lasagna. Would I have it again, probably, but we will most likely return to try other items on their menu. One very slight complaint we had was that our waitress brought us our check without asking if we wanted dessert. In all honesty though, she was a bit hurried by the crowds and we were full anyway. Love going here. Everything is so fresh and tastes homemade. Great place to take friends. Owners comes around to make sure everything is fine.

The service is always good and the atmosphere nice. The staff and owner are friendly. Quite often there is live music. I’m just not crazy about the food. I like Italian, so that’s not it. It just misses the mark for me. I have tried... pizza and crust stuffed sandwich type rolls. I love garlic bread and I do not like their garlic knots. They have a funny flavor to me. I was with someone who got a caprese salad that looke really good. It will be a while before I go back. More

We were in town attending a funeral and had not eaten well for quite a while, so this new restaurant in Greenfield was just what we were looking for. Service was fast and friendly. I think the owner met us at the door and was... very welcoming. I understand if you visit on a Friday night things are a little busier and they provide a great place upstairs to wait for a table while providing beer/wine and a place to sit. The wait will be very worth while as the food is well prepared and delicious. We are going back to Greenfield in the spring under better circumstances and look forward to visiting again. More

I seldom have cash and Tour of Italy is now charging a "Technology Fee" of approximately 2.5% for using credit cards. Don't think I will be back.

Our group went to celebrate birthdays and Christmas tonight at Tour of Italy. We’ve been many times before and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. For this celebration we had a reservation for 8. Tour called to confirm and inform of their policy - 20% gratuity for this... group would be added, also one check would be given or they would split the check for credit card payers. Evidently “split the check” means they would divide it by 8…ie. so each person would pay the same amount, instead of each person could pay their dinner amount individually. Obviously some confusion was present. And they did not inform me of a “technology fee” of 4% added if the check is paid by a credit card, we (the consumer) must pay the credit company fee! This is a new policy though it is not consistent. Less than 2 weeks ago I went there with another party of 8, and was not automatically charged 20%, gratuity, we were able to pay separately via a credit card (for my husband & me) but did have to pay the technology fee. Tonight’s dinner was good but the circumstances to pay are not acceptable. Many places have increased prices (Tour of Italy too) but the additional hassle and fees associated with paying are ridiculous. And, unfortunately for this business, I will not return and will spread the word on their policies. I hope many others will also avoid businesses that make using their services difficult. I believe there are other ways to run a successful business and still retain good customer service. More

Really great food, the lasagna was spot on. The place is clean and has a charm all its own. It has some of the original brick and tin ceiling in place for a great atmosphere. The servers and staff are very friendly and attentive. Get... the clam chowder! More

Great food, great service, wonderful, cozy, authentic atmosphere. Nice wine selection. I had the lasagne with breadstick and broccoli cheese soup...yum! My husband said the Italian sub was one of the best sandwiches he has ever eaten. Highly recommend for family outing or date night!
