Investor/builder: Groupama (SCI The Link La Défense)/ADIM Ile-de-France Architect: PCA STREAM - Philippe Chiambaretta Architecte Height/storey: 54 levels, 242 metres (Arche wing) and 178 metres (Seine wing) Surface area: 130,000 sq.m, offices (demolition, reconstruction) Delivery date: 2025 Location: Esplanade Sud, Michelet district (Puteaux)

The Groupama Group and Total have signed a Lease in Future State of Completion for the construction of The Link project, which will house Total's future headquarters in Paris La Défense. The Link, which refers to the "links" that will connect the two wings of the tower, is a project designed by the architectural firm PCA-STREAM on behalf of Groupama, the site owner, and is being built by Vinci Construction France.

A new iconic tower for Paris La Défense

Located in the Michelet district, The Link comprises two towers linked by 30 levels of green walkways. The 'Arche' wing will rise to 228 metres above the Parvis with 50 floors and the 'Seine' wing to 165 metres with 35 floors. The whole complex will rest on a common base of three levels between the urban boulevard and the forecourt. The walkways will allow the creation of 3,000 sq.m. and 6,000 sq.m. duplex floors, with all floors connected in pairs by large, open, easily accessible staircases. Employees will benefit from 130,000 sq.m. of office, restaurant, co-working and relaxation space. These spaces are designed to improve the quality of well-being at work and collective efficiency.

The tower will be built on the current site of the Michelet building, which will be demolished in 2021. This will be followed by the construction of The Link until 2025.

The Link invents a new tower model

Philippe Chiambaretta has rethought the fundamentals of the traditional tower to respond to a change in the work organisation model.

  • A new horizontality: PCA STREAM has devised an innovative tower morphology that takes advantage of the size of the plot: the tower is split into 2 wings, connected by 30 links. Over 8 metres wide and equipped with aerial gardens offering spectacular views, they are designed as meeting points.
  • New 6,000 sq.m. duplexes: by connecting the two buildings, these Links will create 3,000 sq.m. floors. All floors will function as duplexes via large open staircases creating 6,000 sq.m. units that will accommodate 500 people, four times as many as a conventional tower floor.
  • Each duplex will have its own organic life, within which movements will be made on foot, without taking the lift, with the idea of multiplying human interaction.
  • An "open-air" tower, with 2,800 sq.m. of outdoor spaces: 6 large terraces, 15 open-air hanging gardens, 6 naturally ventilated winter gardens, 2 rooftop gardens. No employee will be more than 30 seconds' walk from an outdoor space.
  • A belvedere over Paris: the rooftop garden 154 metres above ground level creates a new view of Paris and the historic axis linking La Défense to the Louvre, via the Arc de Triomphe and the Concorde

The Link will have the highest environmental certification (HQE Exceptional), guaranteeing the best standards in terms of energy efficiency, thermal and acoustic comfort. 100% of the workstations will be first daylight and 25% of the energy required to light the tower will be provided by its photovoltaic façade. The work will be carried out in compliance with the Circular Economy Charter for the Real Estate and Construction sector, signed by Groupama Immobilier and VINCI Construction France.

The Link will enable Total to reduce its energy consumption by 50% compared with its current towers, thanks in particular to its double-skinned façade, which creates thermal insulation and will be equipped with photovoltaic panels.

Public spaces and traffic flow redesigned

The arrival of The Link tower in 2025 will transform the landscape of the Michelet district , which is currently isolated. In the future, the district will be largely connected to the rest of the Puteaux area and will bring a real dynamic to Paris La Défense. The Cours Michelet will be thoroughly renovated and planted.

The delivery of the Carré Michelet office complex (Eurosic Gecina) in September 2019 marked the start of this transformation.

In close collaboration with the Hauts-de-Seine Department and the City of Puteaux, a study was carried out in favour of creating urban connections to link the slab to Puteaux city centre. The redevelopment of the circular boulevard , which currently forms a border between the business district and the centre of Puteaux, is also being studied with a view to transforming it into a calm urban boulevard that can be crossed on foot.

Key dates for the project

  • April 2019: Planning permission granted
  • March 2020: signing of the Lease in Future State of Completion between Groupama and Total and the Property Development Contract between Groupama and VINCI Construction France

Link Paris Normandy Tour

I am planning to stay in Bayeux and take a Normandy D-Day tour . Can't decide between Battlebus or the Link Paris tour. Please provide feedback good or bad. Thanks.

I have never heard of the Link Paris tour, so can only comment on the Battlebus tours. They seeem to be the big time favorite on here and I have never heard a bad word about them. Outstanding guides, never boring, interesting personal stories, and really worth every cent.

I used to live in Bonita Springs back in the 70's! Worked at the dog track. Is it still there?

On this site we've had 50+ reviews of Battlebus tours in the last couple of years and, as Jo said, the reviews have been 100% positive. To browse these reviews, search on Battlebus using the search box, upper right.

The Link-Paris tour is also excellent!

The guides are vastly knowledgable and most have relatives who actually fought in the liberation of France. The tour and lunch at Memorial de Caen was amazing.

When walking the grounds at the American cemetary at St. Laurent I felt I was truly walking on hallowed ground.

When walking along Omaha beach, and seeing the Point du Hoc I felt like I was the star in "Saving Private Ryan."

I highly recommend this tour!

Thank you, Fort Myers. There is a considerable price difference between these 2 tours. Do you recall if the guide remained with the group through out the Caen Museum or was it self guided? If the guide remained, was his/her presence of value. Did your price include lunch..... Thank you so much.

Ok, I have just looked at the Link-Paris website. I first went to the wrong one as there is also a French Link Paris website. Boy, was that one expensive. Got to say, this Link-Paris tour looks like it cannot even compete with the Battlebus tours. I am sure it is fine and interesting, but it just doesnt sound very exciting or appealing. I am gonna stick with voting for Battlebus. Once you read all the comments on here, you might agree.

For 120 €, you tour for two days from 0800 to 1700, entrance to the museums, American cemetary and museum, German cemetary and museum, the beaches, two different churches, drives through hedgerows, personal stories, the bunkers, the snipers emplacements, and on and on and on. This just seems like a bargain.

Without doubt some of these posters on here own shares of stock in Battlebus tour company.

The Link-Paris tour is actually provided by the Memorial de Caen. When I purchased my tickets I bought them directly from the Memorial web-site.

The guide remains with you during the Museum tour. In my opinion it was essential. It really made all the difference in making the tour "come to life."

The lunch at the Memorial is included in the price, and it was fantastic.

I really cannot give enough praise and gratitude to the Memorial de Caen for this fine, fine tour. Anyone who is familiar with the actual D-Day history surrounding the village of Caen, will understand why the local touch is so important.

Bon Voyage.

Bill, if there was a way to buy stock in this company, I would. If I could get so lucky!

Actually, for us to try and compare two different tours without any of us taking both tours, is futile. One does not usually take the exact same tour over again. I guess the only way is to look at their schedules, what people say, what each tour has to offer. I dont believe any tour is "bad" or they would not stay in business for long. But I do think there are exceptional tours and I firmly beleive Battlebus is one of them. Link Paris can also be exceptional, but since I havent gone on their tour, I can't vouch for them. I had just never heard of them before.

I've certainly one that has enthusiastically recommended BattleBus tours and NO, I don't own stock in the company. I recommend them as I was so enormously pleased with the tours they provided. The knowledge of the Guides was outstanding, and this included first-hand accounts of many veterans who have taken tours with them. Some of the Guides have a military background, so can provide a more detailed description of the tactics and weapons used (Dale's estimate on the amount fire directed down on Omaha Beach was astounding!). They really seemed to have a passion for the history of the D-Day events, and enjoyed imparting this knowledge to visitors.

One of the reasons I chose BattleBus was because of the wide variety of tours they offer. I was definitely interested in visiting some of the U.S. landing sites, but I also wanted to get a Canadian perspective and I found Paul's tour to be excellent (and quite moving, especially the visit to the Abbaye d'Ardenne).

I've also never heard of the Link-Paris Tours, but based on Bill's post they also seem to provide an interesting tour. However, I know from speaking with other travellers in Normandy that not all the tour companies that provide D-Day tours are in the same "league".

I'm definitely planning to take further tours with BattleBus on my next visit to Normandy.

great tower!!!

This tower could be the new headquater of Total (the oil company) http://immobilier.lefigaro.fr/article/groupama-veut-construire-la-tour-la-plus-haute-de-france_30368c6c-3a55-11e7-87cf-a12835191447/

Nice, this would balance the skyline of La Defence.

Not sure about the slanted top; there are already many of them in La Defense. The tower looks good anyway.

tour the link paris

LD used to be all flat-roofed, so I don't mind, and in fact, an additional spire would be appropriate, particularly if it could increase the height by a 30-50m The name is a little dumb though

these are actually 2 towers linked by balconies. The tallest one is 244m and the small one is 174m

very very nice tower

Groupama Immobilier and PCA-STREAM unveil The Link, the tower that will mark the advent of the new Defense, and will complete its entrance door. The Link concept wants to rethink the office tower, (too) long synonymous with verticality and isolation. “A tower in La Défense is schematically a stack of trays of 1800m2 on average, on which the employees are isolated in small groups of 150 people per floor. The access to natural light is uneven, non-existent outdoor spaces and common spaces where work together very rare. The traditional tower does not respond to the new paradigm of work spaces: places that promote cohesion, live together and collective intelligence, while respecting individual comfort, “observes Philippe Chiambaretta. This can generate an impression of isolation and anonymity among employees, “who often have only the only place to find themselves the foot of their turn”. PCA-STREAM has therefore devised an innovative tower morphology that takes advantage of the size of the parcel: the tower is split into 2 wings, connected by 30 platforms, the “Links”. These platforms constitute the essential and distinctive element of the high-rise They are more than 8 meters high and have terraces and suspended gardens on each floor, with spectacular views. They are thought to be collective work spaces, meeting points to create a link. True “village places”. The “Links” will mainly provide a solution to the oldest fault of the office tower: lack of horizontality. By linking the two buildings, these platforms will create trays of 3,000 m2, unprecedented surface for a Tour de la Défense. Better: all floors will be duplexed via large open staircases, creating 6,000 m2 units, which can be converted into enclosed offices or coworking spaces. To make 500 people work and live together: the equivalent of a business unit or a large SME. Click to expand...

wow, what a great modern tower

Good to have another spectacular tall building in Paris.

This looks great

^^ What will happen to the old Tour Total?

Total is going to sold it, as well as the smaller michelet total also owns. Then, we dont know what the future owner will do. Demolish it and rebuild something new, or refurbish it..

Here’s Why Swifties Think ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ Is Coming to the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift resumes the European leg in Paris on May 9 after dropping her surprise double album

Taylor Swift wears Schiaparelli to the 2024 Grammys

It’s once again time to figure out where the best sources of live streaming are for the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift released a YouTube short  on Thursday, marking the two-week (or fortnight) countdown until she returns to the European leg of her stadium tour in Paris. Naturally, eagle-eyed Swifties have spotted clues about a possible addition of “The Tortured Poets Department” set.

In the video, filtered with a sepia tone, Swift is shown rehearsing familiar sets from the Eras tour. However, one shot in particular shows her leaning on a railing that looks like it contains the logo for “TTPD” — particularly the ‘PD’ at the end. It also looks like she might be wearing a certain “lilac skirt that fits [her] like skin” in that same shot. The boots also look like those worn in the “Fortnight” music video .

Taylor Swift attends the 2024 Grammys

A following shot includes the singer rehearsing what looks to be a new number, since her background dancers have new canes and black top hats. In the next shot, Swift can be seen sitting on a stool in a flannel singing into what looks like a white microphone. She famously, meticulously uses mics coded to the corresponding eras sets — such as a wooden one for “folklore” and “evermore,” a blue one for “1989” and a black one with a red snake-like handle for “reputation.”

Still, other scenes do look familiar, like the giant parachute fans from the “Lover” opening of the tour, the mossy piano from “evermore,” the glass boxes from “reputation” and the fluffy clouds from “Midnights.”

Swift’s eleventh album has only been out for one week, but it broke streaming records in the first day of its release as well as after five days on Spotify, when the double album, “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology,” hit 1 billion streams across its 31 songs.

Taylor Swift resumes her European leg of the Eras Tour in Paris on May 9 .

By the numbers: Statistics confirm Scottie Scheffler's historical dominance

Change Text Size

Is impending fatherhood the only thing stopping Scottie Scheffler? Quite possibly.

His historic run continued Monday when he completed his victory at the RBC Heritage. It was his fourth win in his past five starts, a run that also included victories at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, THE PLAYERS Championship and the Masters. The only exception was a runner-up finish at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, where he missed a 6-footer to join Stephan Jaeger in a playoff.

Scottie Scheffler’s Round 4 highlights From RBC Heritage

Scheffler has seemed invincible lately, and the statistics confirm that. Here’s a closer look at some of the key stats that put Scheffler’s historic play into perspective:

  • By winning at Harbour Town Golf Links, Scheffler became the first player since Bernhard Langer in 1985 to win the RBC Heritage one week after winning the Masters .
  • Scheffler is the first player since Tiger Woods in 2006 to win the week after winning a major .
  • With four wins and a runner-up in his past five starts, Scheffler is the first player since Woods in 2007-08 to have five consecutive top-two finishes . Vijay Singh is the only other player to have such a run in the past 30 years (2004).
  • This was Scheffler’s 10th PGA TOUR victory, coming in just his 51st start since he earned his first win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. Only David Duval has needed fewer starts after his first win to reach victory No. 10. Duval did it in 33 starts. Tiger Woods is third on the list with 59 starts.
  • In his 51 starts since the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, Scheffler also has 23 top-three finishes (45%) and 35 top-10s (68.6%).
  • All 10 of Scheffler’s wins have come since the start of the 2021-22 season. He is the first player to win 10 (or more) times on the PGA TOUR in the span of three seasons since Dustin Johnson won 10 titles between 2015-16 and 2017-18.
  • This is Scheffler’s fourth win of the season, matching his career-high from 2022. He is the fourth player with multiple four-win seasons since the start of 2000 , joining Woods (10), Singh, (3) and Phil Mickelson (2).
  • Scheffler has now recorded 40 consecutive TOUR rounds at par or better , a streak that began in the final round of the 2023 TOUR Championship. He’s 12 back of Woods’ all-time TOUR mark of 52 straight rounds at par or better (set across 2000-01).
  • In each of Scheffler’s last seven victories, eight or more of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking have been in the field . His most recent run of four wins in five starts has included two Signature Events (Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, RBC Heritage), THE PLAYERS and the Masters.
  • Scheffler is averaging 5.38 birdies per round this season, on pace to set the all-time TOUR record for single-season birdie average (since the statistic was first tracked in 1980) . Woods set the current record (4.92) in 2020.
  • In his 39 rounds this season, he has outperformed the field average 35 times . He’s been at least a shot better than the field 30 times, at least two shots better 26 times and at least three shots better 19 times.
  • Scheffler leads the TOUR in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green by nearly a shot per round this season , after finishing atop the category by more than two-thirds of a stroke per round last season. No player had previously led the category by more than four-tenths of a stroke per round since Woods in 2009.

Fans theorize that Taylor Swift is changing her Eras Tour setlist to include songs from her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Swift shared a black-and-white video collage of her practicing for the upcoming leg of her tour and added her new single, “Fortnight,” in the background to YouTube Shorts on Thursday.

The Grammy winner, 34, included several snippets of her wearing different athleisure outfits while holding a microphone, singing and dancing on different parts of the stage.

The “Cruel Summer” songstress even featured a snap of her playing her acoustic guitar and sitting at her signature mossy piano.

However, some eagle-eyed fans noticed a few differences in some of the clips from what she’s done in her past shows –– such as her background dancers wearing black top hats and canes.

Swift also appeared to be leaning on a silver pole that seemed to have a white “TTPD” sign hanging on the side of it. Fans additionally pointed out her white guitar and matching microphone.

Swift will resume her tour in Paris in two weeks –– aka a fortnight –– on May 9.

Several fans flooded the comments pointing out the changes and wrote about how convinced they are she’ll be swapping some songs for “TTPD” hits.

Swift has not released the setlist for her upcoming shows and she did not share the setlist before she kicked off the tour in Arizona in March 2023.

The “Shake it Off” songstress previously sang 44 songs on every show and swapped out two songs each concert that were acoustic “surprise songs” not included in the same setlist.

After Paris, Swift will hit several European countries, including Sweden, Spain and Portugal, before wrapping up in London in August.

Footage From Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Rehearsals Hint She’s Adding ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ Songs

Taylor Swift European Eras Tour Rehearsals Seemingly Have Tortured Poets Department Clues

Taylor Swift might be gearing up to hold a Tortured Poets Department board meeting in the middle of her European Eras Tour concerts.

Swift, 34, uploaded a video of her tour prep to YouTube Shorts on Thursday, April 25, with the caption, “A fortnight till Paris.” In the clip, Swift practiced her setlist alongside her backup dancers.

While eagle-eyed fans noticed that Swift had run through performances of the likes of “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince” and “Karma,” they also noticed snippets from a few numbers that had seemingly never been seen on stage.

In one instance, Swift played a white guitar and fans clocked that ivory hue matches the iconography of her new album , The Tortured Poets Department . There also appears to be a desk positioned on stage at one point in the video that could be another reference to the department. In another clip, Swift — wearing her now-viral PopFlex Active skort — leaned against a railing with white letters in the center. Fans have speculated the letters spell out “TTPD.”

“That’s the TTPD logo on the railing,” one user pointed out via X. “Omg TTPD is getting her own set at The Eras Tour !”

Swift also wore black lace-up heels as she posed on the railing, which other social media users compared to the similar Victorian-inspired pumps she sported in her “Fortnight” music video with Post Malone . (“Fortnight” is also the lead single off of TTPD.)

Another moment in the YouTube clip shows Swift surrounded by her backup dancers, the latter of whom are wearing circus-inspired top hats. Fans believe it is teeing up a TTPD performance of “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” because of the big top lyrical reference, “I was tame, I was gentle ’til the circus life made me mean / ‘Don’t you worry, folks, we took out all her teeth.”

Another social media fan speculated: “Why do I feel like these are definitely rehearsal pics for TTPD songs ‘cause when have we ever had the dancers with hats and sticks.”

Taylor Swift European Eras Tour Rehearsals Seemingly Have Tortured Poets Department Clues 2

A selection of Swifties even think that they figured out the entire TTPD set that will be added based on an Instagram post by Pandora. The streaming station posted a “What song are you listening to next from The Tortured Poets Department?” graphic, specifically naming “Fortnight,” “The Alchemy,” “But Daddy I Love Him” “Down Bad” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” Swift’s official fan account, Taylor Nation, reshared the upload onto its Instagram Story page on Thursday.

One of Apple Music’s Swift-themed playlists, aptly titled “Taylor Swift Essentials,” has since been updated to include “Fortnight” and “Down Bad,” which other fans think further tease setlist plans. Apple’s official Eras “Setlist” playlist, however, has not been updated to include any TTPD hits.

Swift kicked off her Eras Tour in March 2023, traversing the United States and Central America to perform her sold-out show before beginning the international leg. Following overseas shows in Japan, Australia and Singapore earlier this year, Swift has currently been on a month long hiatus.

The Grammy winner’s next show is in Paris on Thursday, May 9, but she has not publicly revealed if or how the set list is changing to accommodate TTPD . It is also possible that the newly released tracks could pop up during her acoustic “surprise song” section .
