37 fun family travel influencers to follow on Instagram
It’s estimated that there are some 1.074 billion (yes, billion ) Instagram users worldwide, with new accounts signing up daily. With so many Instagram accounts out there, how do you choose which ones to follow?
I love Instagram for travel inspiration, in particular for finding new destinations to discover with my own kids. So, putting together a list of some of my favourite family travel influencers on Instagram was an easy task. There are lots of travelling families out there who inspire, inform and uncover some of the coolest spots around the world. Some travel full time, others make the most of school holidays and there are a handful of families who have chosen to up sticks and live overseas.

I have been following travel families on Instagram for a while now and I have to say they’ve inspired me enormously! Especially ever since we’ve been active on the gram ourselves as a travelling family, I have met, followed and admired a lot of our companions. They help me plan a trip or make me dream about other destinations. But most of all, I love the amazing community they are! If you’re looking for some inspiration yourself, I can save you some time ?. I’ve made a list of my favourite 50 travel families on Instagram.
How did I select them? Well, I’m a huge fan of beautiful photography. So my first criterium was definitely pictures that stand out. They don’t have to be heavily edited, but they need to be well-framed, have a different perspective or show a beautiful emotion. Secondly, they have to tell us something. I like families that give us something to read in their caption. Whether they tell us about themselves, the destination or give us something to think about. It’s all good for me, as long as it’s meaningful. And last but not least, they have to be active on Instagram. If they only post once every two weeks, they didn’t make the list.
I didn’t really look at how many followers they have, so you’ll find both big and small accounts. But enough talking, let’s dive into it! And give them a follow if you like them too! Are you following another great travel family, please let us know in comments!

15 Family Travel Bloggers to Follow on Instagram
Do you ever get wanderlust from Instagram? Ever looked at someone else’s feed and become insanely jealous of the amazing places they seem to go? I’ll hold my hands up and say yes, absolutely yes, I do! Today I’m going to share with you 15 family travel bloggers I’m following on Instagram for this year and who you should be too!
Being a wanderlust family doesn’t preclude us from finding wanderlust in other places. Just because we travel ourselves doesn’t mean we don’t look at other families who travel and get a real sense of jealousy about where they’re going with their own families. And one of the biggest sources of our wanderlust comes from two places. A long-term nomadic family we personally know, and then Instagram.
My husband has worked with the father of this nomadic family on and off for the last five years. He and his family, though they have a base they loosely call home, wander the world for extended periods together, homeschooling their kids and doing a lot of charitable work alongside their adventures together. They were actually part of our inspiration for changing how we travel ourselves and also part of the reason we emigrated to Portugal. It’s a running joke between my husband and T when they call one another for my husband to say “so where is your office today?”. They are also the reason we are even considering a family gap year in a few years.
The other source of our wanderlust comes from the social media platform that has been my favourite for years. The one I have a love/hate relationship with as a blogger, as it’s so hard to grow, but out of which I get the most pleasure. I can spend hours scrolling through Instagram, checking out the latest posts on people’s feeds and watching their stories, particularly those who are travelling with their families. Many are family travel bloggers and there is a particularly special group who I am an avid follower of.
Not only do these families travel to all kinds of places, both at home and abroad, they are also genuinely nice people, incredibly supportive as bloggers and instil a serious amount of wanderlust in me. I love seeing what adventures they are up to and where they are headed next. Here are 15 awesome family travel bloggers to follow on Instagram and why you should be following them if you already aren’t!
Marta – Learning Escapes
Learning Escapes is a family travel blog about cultural travels with kids. The author behind it is Marta, Italian mama and expat in Ireland, and her faithful travel companions are her husband Philip and their two children now 8 and 6, which appear on the blog as Mr M and Little Ms E.
They travel at weekends and during school breaks and their favourite destinations are big European cities although they recently developed a passion for the US and are just back from an epic road trip that brought them from California to Grand Canyon and Monument Valley!
On all their trips they mix visits to kid friendly sites and more ‘grown up’ attractions which makes their blog a great source of inspiration and info for families who love independent travel and cultural tourism.

View this post on Instagram WEDNESDAY – Today was a big day for me. I started a new job 😁 It's a big step because I haven't been employed in a "normal" job since L was 2 years old! Over the years I've turned my hand to everything from making cakes, decorating weddings, working online etc and more…all in an effort to stay at home with him and to always be there for him. I was desperate to return to work after he went to school but my confidence was so low I couldn't bare the idea of interviews etc. Last year was particularly bad so I knew it needed to change. I could barely leave the house at one point. I'm excited to start this new chapter! Cath – Passports and Adventures
Well, of course no family travel blogger list to follow on Instagram would be complete without adding myself, now would it. I’m sure you’re already following me, but if you’re not, why not give me a follow. I love sharing our family travels alongside mini updates about what is happening in our family.
And if you’re new around here, let me introduce the Passports family. We’re an Irish expat family now living in the Algarve after 15 years in the UK. We’re a family that enjoy adventurous travel with our young son, while enjoying culture and family-friendly activities. We also believe travel is an education too and love nothing more than seeing the world through our son’s eyes.
We generally have several trips a year planned but with the pandemic, things are up in the air where travel is concerned. We’ve been staying closer to home, exploring more of Portugal and this will continue for the near future. Make sure you’re following our Instagram to see what we’re up to and where we’re going next!
View this post on Instagram Just 10 days until the boy and I head back to Cardiff for a long weekend. And then we'll be on the countdown to Lapland. We've had a good year so far in terms of travel and I'm hoping next year is as good. This picture was taken by my hubby of the boy and I admiring Belém Tower. Lisbon was a great city and we only scratched the surface. We're considering flying up next time and staying in the city centre so we can explore it more. But that's for next year or one after. I’m a firm believer that we all have a little bit of wanderlust in us, and there is no better place to gain inspiration than over on the most visual platform of social media, Instagram. While there are other family travel bloggers that I also follow and love, these people have become my tribe and their travels are the ones I’m always looking forward to following.
From staycations in the UK to far off travels in Asia, America and beyond, their own family travels are what gets the wanderlust going in me. So, I hope you’ll go and give all these wonderful family travel bloggers a follow, both on their blog and their Instagram. You won’t regret it!
Sharing is caring!

11 travelling families on Instagram
By: Author Sophie Cullen
Posted on December 19, 2019
Right about now, when Christmas mayhem is escalating and the long, dreamy days of summer have arrived, I start wistfully wanderlusting. If you’re like me, you’ll be yearning for your dream holiday destination (anywhere but here, right?). These 11 family travel Instagram accounts offer a delightful dose of travel inspo to quench your globetrotting yearnings.
Best of all, these Instagrammers show just how possible travel is with kids in tow. Think your tot is too tiny? Celine and Dan from Baby Can Travel and Family Can Travel urge you to think again! Hitting the road for a Big Lap of Australia sound too stressful? The Blonde Nomads have plenty of tips and tricks. Scroll the gorgeous grids of these Instagrams and blogs to see families of all shapes and sizes in a range of destinations around the world.
In no particular order, these Instagram families caught our attention in 2019:
1. Globetotting – @globetotting
This London-based family of five has plenty of experience treading travel trails around the globe. Each of the three kids was born in a different country, and they spent time living abroad in Australia, India and Mexico. Having returned to the UK, a lot of their adventures are now Europe-bound. The award-winning blog is curated by the expert eye of mum, Katja, a decorated travel writer.

2. Mumpack Travel – @mumpacktravel
Solo mum Evie and her primary-school aged daughter Emmie make up the dynamic duo behind Mum Pack Travel. In fact, the pair have just hit the road for the long-term. This December, they packed up and headed for the Philippines for three months, the first destination on their around-the-world itinerary. Follow their travels on their Insta stories and their blog . You can also check out Evie’s book, Backyard to Backpack .

3. Wild Roots Outdoors – @wildrootsoutdoors
Based in Utah, the Leavitt family is super passionate about the outdoors. Their motto is #plantwildroots because #wildrootsrundeep and it certainly comes across in their worldwide adventures. Nate and Candice have four gorgeous boys under 12 and they get up to all sorts of shenanigans. Check out their website here .

4. Courtney Adamo – @courtneyadamo
Courtney is a Byron Bay-based mum of five gorgeous kids. She also runs an online business, teaches family workshops and writes her family’s travel blog, Somewhere Slower . It is full of great ideas about travelling with a larger family, inspired by a couple of years of living around the globe. Courtney’s eye for the aesthetic comes through in the sleek, white look of her Instagram, which favours natural light and minimalism.

5. The Blonde Nomads – @theblondenomads
The Blonde Nomads kicked off a couple of years ago, when Rob, Tracy, Marli and Ziggy sold up to hit the road and travel full-time in a caravan around Australia. Tracy is a photographer and designer by trade, making the saturated colour and lovely light of the Blonde Nomads Instagram very easy on the eyes. The family have since waved goodbye to their caravan to welcome new adventures, including a recent trip to Japan.

As well as awesome content on the Blonde Nomads blog , Tracy has also written for Family Travel. Her features (and her awesome accompanying photography) include Top Tips for Road Trips with Kids , Why Fiji is the Best Family Holiday and Tips for Adventure Holidays Off the Beaten Track.
6. Trip in a Van – @tripinavan
Another Aussie family to trade convention for the caravanning life, Justin, Bec and their three fair-haired kids know all there is to know about road-tripping the wide brown land. They produce a lot of video content about caravanning, camping and four-wheel driving. Check out their socials and blog for lots of handy hints, including homeschooling ideas, a Big Lap budget spreadsheet and a tour of their caravan set-up.

7. Summer of Seventy Five – @summerofseventyfive
Still can’t get enough of the #vanlife? This Aussie family of four has gone old-school, setting off on adventures in an original kombi van complete with seventies curtains and decor. Nicknamed Summer, the van is like the fifth member of the family. Check out their Instagram page for beachy, surf vibes and a golden-hued glow to match the orange of the van.

8. Smiths Holiday Road – @smithsholidayroad
Melbourne parents Bron and Andrew have three kids who have become foodies, culture vultures and globetrotters in their own right. The Smiths travel with a wheelchair, so their Instagram and accompanying blog is great for tips for holidays on wheels. Their grid is packed with fun snaps of overseas adventures, especially in Asia, but also of everyday family mayhem.
We’ve done some filming with the Smiths for #FamiliesOfAustralia. You can check out their accessible travel videos on our YouTube channel .

9. Wyld Family Travel – @wyld_family_travel
For a great perspective on affordable travel with teenage daughters, look to the Wylds. The family blog is run by Marley and Willow and their dad. It has been jam-packed of late, thanks to the long-term world tour the Wylds embarked on at the start of the year. Beginning in Bali in January 2019, they are currently exploring Europe.

10. Our 3 Kids v the World – @our3kidsvtheworld
Sally and Craig travelled extensively pre-children. They love taking their three (now teenage) kids back to places they’d visited, proving that with some planning and the right attitude, veering off the beaten track is doable as a family. They have gone on plenty of trips through Asia, and recently returned from Hawaii.

11. Baby Can Travel – @babycantravel
Mum Celine and Dad Dan took their first trip as a family when their eldest daughter was just three months old. The Canadian family has since welcomed the addition of a son, who had caught the travel bug before he could walk. Use their website as your go-to guru on baby travel gear, flying with toddlers and so on. Their own family of four is now all grown up into @familycantrave l, which is worth a peek. They still curate images and stories of travelling tots on @babycantravel.

21 Best Family Instagram Accounts to Follow For Keeping It Real
It’s 2021. The perfectly posed family portraits where all the children are beaming as they look directly at the camera. Not going to cut it anymore. Simply put, it’s not real. You’ve probably seen the articles about how Instagram has attracted so called “fake influencers”, which extends to family accounts. Kids should be able to eat their meals without waiting for 500 perfectly composed IG snaps, dangit. So we’ve put together a refreshing list of the best family Instagram accounts to follow if you want real parenting. Cheers to being authentic.
familyonstandby
Hannahacarpenter, erinloechner, allieunfiltered, outofofficefamily, themomtrotter, thefunemployedfamily, bigbravenomad, mommyshorts, therobertswerehere, unsettledown, travelmamas, the_global_wizards, thejetsettingfamily, hanging.with.the.hennens, worldstompers, heybarnettfam, 2traveldads, chrissyteigen.
Shameless plug alert. This is our own family travel account. If you’re new here or didn’t already know, we are an airline family. So we do all of our traveling on standby (aka we show up to the airport without a confirmed seat on the plane). Yikes, I know. It leads to some interesting experiences, I’ll say that. Our Instagram account follows all of our adventures. And we are totally into the candid life. We don’t pose our kids. We snap them in the moment and hope one of the 500 comes out not blurry.
Her account is full of laughs and she keeps it real. How freaking refreshing. Someone who doesn’t erase and rewrite captions 50 times to ensure they’re perfectly likeable by all. Her photos are beautiful, but she doesn’t fake it. And we love her for it.
She hosted an HGTV.com show and founded a company. Yet her IG feed is perfect without trying to be perfect, ya know what I mean? She also regularly uses #thegoodlist for, as you might guess, a list of all the good things in this world.
A family of 4 currently parked in London. They travel and have two adorable kids. They love the minimalist lifestyle. And they have a fun Instagram feed full of adventure.
Working from home, kids, wine. Our kind of Instagram account. (Seriously, pass the wine.) If the name didn’t give it away, Allie is a Canadian mom who shares her family’s unfiltered life. She recently added another little one to her clan, which means lots of adorable baby pics.
Their goal is simple: encourage others to create lives they don’t need vacations from. They talk through home life, RV life, life with autism, and parent in general. Their feed is super raw and inspired. With some chuckles sprinkled in. And we can’t help but love all the outdoorsy vibes.
A full time RV family, this crew of 3 is passionate and inspirational. Their Instagram feed is full of RV life, outdoorsy fun, and plenty of parenting. If you’re curious about the full-time RV lifestyle, they are a great family to follow.
They quit their corporate jobs for a journey around the world to bond as a family. Recently they moved back to Michigan and added an adorable 4th member to their tribe. They show all the moments: silly, dreamy, challenging. And we love all of them for their rawness.
Another family that will give you some serious travel inspo. They travel all over and prove that an authentic account can also be beautifully presented. Their account has adventure, family, and all kinds of candid moments.
An NYC family with “average parent problems”. Gone are the days of following perfect families. Bring on the average families. Let your kids eat a snack that isn’t carrot sticks. This family keeps it real. And also brings us some enviable real estate goals in their dreamy New York location.
If you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s like parenting out of a converted school bus, just follow this family. They have some gorgeous photography of all their candid family moments. Plus, they recently revealed they’re adding a 5th little one to their family of four kids.
They live a work from anywhere lifestyle (goals) and have two little kiddos in tow. Their feed is full of adventure and sweet, authentic moments. IF you’ve ever wondered what it’s like working remote and traveling the world with young kids, you can live vicariously through them. Or, find out how they do it and set off on your own adventure.
A family of four (soon to be five) living in Connecticut. Pregnancy, parenting, food, DIY. They cover it all. And my favorite part: their pictures are genuine. They also run giveaways fairly often so if winning cool swag is your thing (isn’t that everyone’s thing?) be sure to give them a follow.
The Instagram page for one of the most popular travel blogs out there. You’ll find all kinds of family adventures and some really great inspiration for your own excursions. They definitely know how to make a city (and a family vacation) shine.
Full-time van life is becoming increasingly popular and we often wonder how families with kids do it. Fortunately, we don’t have to wonder because The Global Wizards document their life traveling all over in their camper van. Plus, they are amazing photographers to boot.
They were a full-time traveling family for two years, until they recently laid down roots in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Luckily until they set off again, you get some warm weather vibes from their life in Florida. Being big fans of silly faces ourselves, we love seeing all the fun family moments. Their feed will make you feel like instant friends.
Shout out to a fellow Chicago fam! This mama, who also owns a shop with baby and toddler items, fills her feed with city life. And life with her two adorable kiddos. You may even get a craft idea or two.
For some serious family travel wanderlust, this party of five will take you all over the world. Their feed is full of luxury and adventure travel. And as you might guess, they offer up plenty of travel tips, destination inspo, and incredibly travel photography.
Just your average family living and posting from Cincinnati. Except they do more than just endearing family photos. This family is a bunch. They fill their IG feed with DIY and home improvements. It’s a nice blend of kids, parenting, and wishing your house looked like theirs.
There’s a lot of Instagram feeds run by moms on this list so we wanted to highlight one run by two super likeable dads. They take their 2 kids on all kinds of adventures and take a lot of real, in-the-moment photos as the same time.
The only celebrity on our list. But if ever there was an authentic celebrity family to follow, this is the one. Chrissy is raw about all things family. And she does it with a sense of humor. But she’s not afraid to discuss the more vulnerable moments – like suffering a pregnancy loss and sharing it with the world. Can’t get enough of her account as she’s not afraid to talk about the hard things.
What are your favorite family Instagram accounts? Do you know of any families that love to keep things real?

80 Best Family Vacation Instagram Captions for Your Favorite Photos
posted by James Brockbank on December 9, 2021 // last updated on December 9, 2021
Social media has become incorporated into everyone’s lives. It is the sole way to let the world get a glimpse of the moments that fill your heart. With each photo and experience displayed, you let people into your life and let them experience it with you.
When you want to share your moments with the world, you spend some time to create a public moment everyone can indulge in. You crop the photo just right and add the perfect filter. Then comes the caption. You want something enticing, something interesting, something powerful.
So, when you have all the wonderful photos from your family vacation, you want to make sure you get it right. From lighthearted and funny captions to heartfelt words, here are some of the best original captions for Instagram to commemorate your family’s adventures.
Beachy Family Photos
Family road trip photos, snowy family photos, neutral family vacation captions, how to pick the best caption.
The beach is the number one vacation destination for families. The hot sun, salty water, and white sand make for a perfect family fun getaway. When you return, you want to share those moments with your followers (and maybe make them a bit jealous).
These original captions should help get the attention of your Insta followers while inspiring them to get out in the sun and have their own fun.
- “With the sun on our face and the sand between our toes, these memories with the family will last forever.”
- “The love our family shares only grows with every crashing wave.”
- “The sun, the sand, and your family by your side, make the best memories stay alive.”
- “Family is the cornerstone of every great beach vacation.”
- “As the kids build a sandcastle, and your husband surfs the waves, you appreciate the family you’ve made.”
- “Every moment spent together watching the waves makes you realize the most important thing in life are the memories you make with your family.”
- “The most remarkable thing about the beach is that amidst all the chaos your family creates, you’re still so calm and full of love.”
- “You’ll go home with a tan, an experience, and the best memories that were spent with your family.”
- “Teaching my kids the beauty of the water, sand, and sun and the beauty of our family being together.”
- “The beach is the most serene place to go; it is even better when you can enjoy it with the family you’ve built.”
- “I am hot, tired, and burnt, but my kids are happy.”
- “Life’s a beach, the kids are a mess, the family’s alive watching the sunset.”
- “Enjoying the sun, the surf, the sand, and the family together.”
- “The best beach activities involve sand, sun, and family.”
- “High tides, good vibes, and the family building memories.”
- “When we build a sandcastle with our kids, we build memories that will last a lifetime.”
- “You can live in bliss at the beach, watching the ocean, feeling the sand between your toes, and spending every moment with your family.”
- “What’s better than the beach? You and your family are making memories together.”
- “Bury my feet in the sand, a cold drink in my hand, my family by my side, I let my worries wash away with the tide.”
- “Happiness is the shore in your view, the sun on your skin, the sand on your feet, and your family enjoying it with you.”
Using emojis in your captions to make them stand out is also a creative way to add to your post. There is an array of different emojis you can use. Add in some “🌊🌅⛱” to break up longer captions and make them more engaging.
Family road trips can be the most exciting experience you share. Whether you’re a family of five or road tripping with your siblings, experiencing the open road is something everyone should do.
Of course, you want to capture the magic of the moments, whether you’re co-piloting or snapping pics during pit stops.
What better way to express your enjoyment than with a good Instagram picture and caption to match? Plus, road trips offer opportunities for unique captions that reflect your specific on or off-road adventures.
- “The key to a good road trip starts with your favorite snacks, great music, and your family by your side.”
- “Having your kids experience the open road is a remarkable feeling.”
- “The best road trips always need the chaos of the family to make it a memory never forgotten.”
- “The road least traveled is better with your family by your side.”
- “The radio blasting, the long open road, the kids laughing in the back seat, all make for the perfect road trip.”
- “The perfect road trip requires a full-blown karaoke show, with your kids as the backup singers.”
- “During a road trip, stopping on the side of the road to embrace nature and the family you made is the best feeling in the world.”
- “A road trip by yourself is fun; a road trip with your family is a beautiful experience.”
- “The open road, the beautiful scenery, and the family you created make for the best memories.”
- “I want my kids to experience the entire world and the love we have for one another.”
- “When you’re on the road with your family, and you look in the back seat, you realize this is all you ever needed.”
- Happiness is the open road and hearing your kids fighting over the music on the radio.”
- “With the wheel in my hand, the perfect song on the radio, and my husband by my side, we begin the journey of happily ever after.”
- “No road trip is long with your family making you laugh the entire time.”
- “The best part of a road trip isn’t arriving at your destination; it’s the memories you make with the people you created.”
- “Always take the scenic route; you won’t regret the memories you make with your family.”
- “All you need to make you happy is a good road trip and the people you love with you.”
- “The only trip I want to take is the trip with you on this open road.”
- “A road trip can have a bunch of bumps in the road but create the best memories.”
- “An adventure with your family is the best one you can have.”
Just remember to keep your eyes on the road while driving, and leave the Instagram posts to your co-pilot or backseat drivers.
Taking a family trip to the mountains or any ski resort can lead to some incredible moments captured. Catching dad making that ski jump or watching your kids build a snowman; every opportunity leads to a great memorable photo.
With those photos, you need perfect captions, and here are some of the best. Don’t forget a snowflake or snowman emoji, or even a pair of skis.
- “The best moments made are the ones made in the snow.”
- “A journey is best with family, snow, and a rosy nose.”
- “Our hands and cheeks are cold, but my heart is warm watching my family make the best memories.”
- “Cold feet, rosy cheeks, and a warm heart.”
- “Family can warm your soul in the coldest weather.”
- “Like snowflakes, we are all different, but we make a beautiful family.”
- “Snowy mountains, cold air, toasty fire, and family is all you need.”
- “What’s a winter vacation without a family snowball fight?”
- “Tis the season to build snowmen, have snowball fights, and warm your toes by the fire with your family.”
- “Snow falling down, the crackle of the fire, hot chocolate, and my family is all I need.”
- “Having a snowball fight with your kids makes you realize how mad they are that they couldn’t have that piece of candy.”
- “Watching your kids sled down a hill at top speed makes your anxiety high but your heart full.”
- “The season to be freezing comes with the laughs to warm you up.”
- “Cold hands, a warm heart, and the love of your kids are all you need.”
- “Making the best memories by throwing a snowball right at my husband’s face.”
- “When your vacation involves snow and family, it involves the best of what life has to offer.”
- “The snow is falling, the mountains are calling, my family along with love so strong, we make the memories that will last for so long.”
- “Creating the best memories, with snow, sleds, and laughter.”
- “The mountains covered in snow, your face red from the cold, we enjoy our family and the memories we are creating.”
- “What better way to enjoy your family than to enjoy a cold, snowy day and then warm up with some hot chocolate by the fire.”
Family vacations, in general, are fun, heartwarming experiences that make the best memories. You want to express to your followers the pure enjoyment you got out of your family vacation, even if you didn’t relax at the beachside or venture into the wilderness.
Here are a few nonspecific family vacation captions you can use to spice up those beautiful photos.
- “All you need to make a vacation a success is family, food, and peace.”
- “We haven’t been everywhere, we haven’t even come close, but experiencing it all with the family is all that matters.”
- “The wonderful thing about vacations is we can pretend like we’re a nice normal family.”
- “Fights and spending all your money are what makes a family vacation fun.”
- “The stress, the money spent, the time planning – it all becomes worth it when you see your kids smile.”
- “Having the best family vacation entails happy hearts, bellies full of food, good conversations, and wonderful memories made.”
- “It doesn’t feel like a vacation unless my kids are fighting, my husband is asleep on the pool chair, and I am toeing the line of keeping my sanity.”
- “When we have kids, we experience life through their eyes; why not make the scenery beautiful.”
- “I would spend my whole life traveling, as long as I could do it with my loved ones.”
- “The trips we take and the roads we travel create the best memories together.”
- “We only have a short time to teach our kids the beauty of the world; make sure you do it in the best places.”
- “Spending an entire vacation with your kids really makes you appreciate your alone time.”
- “Living my best life on vacation with my best people.”
- “Family, love, and laughter are the only things you need to make a vacation great.
- “The memories you make now will inspire your kids to do the same.”
- “The best vacations are where you can just enjoy the love you and your family have created.”
- “Here’s to family, food, and laughter.”
- “I would not want to change a single moment of the time I spent with my beautiful, chaotic, crazy family.”
- “This world gives you beauty; you just have to discover it.”
- “The most fulfilling thing you can do is spend time with the people you love and make the best memories possible.”

“ Don’t wait to travel with your kids until they’re the ‘perfect age’! You never know what’s around the corner to mess up your plans; I think the pandemic has taught everyone that. And really, does the ‘perfect age’ even exist? ”

Want to travel with your kids?
You’ve come to the right place for inspiration. Here we share our family travel tips, personal reviews, and itineraries for global travel adventures!
We’re the Lynn Family, aka ‘TraveLynn Family’ – Jenny (Mum), Jay (Dad), Arthur (age 10) and Ezra (age 8). We’re from the UK, but live in Malaysia (we moved here in 2024), and we’ve been travelling as a family to off-the-beaten track destinations ever since the boys were born.
Our ‘big’ trips include:
- living in India for a year
- trekking the Himalayas
- 101 days traversing Africa in a Land Rover
- a full summer of Bongo vanlife in France
- slow travelling and living in Morocco for 4 months
- 10 weeks backpacking Southeast Asia
But whilst we love off-the-beaten-track adventures, we also love European city breaks and occasionally treating ourselves to a bit of luxury (check out our review of Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi .
TraveLynn Family was established in 2016 and has grown to be one of the top family travel blogs in the UK, receiving over 85k page views per month to this website and with an engaged following of over 23k on Instagram.
Our style of travel
Travel for us isn’t a once-in-a-lifetime experience, nor have we sold up and hit the road fulltime, homeschooling our kids. In fact, our boys love their school, their friends and their clubs, and us parents need the childcare of school to be able to work. But travel is a huge part of our lives and we embrace the philosophy of worldschooling .
Since the boys were born, we have found ways to travel as much as possible; living overseas, saving funds and quitting jobs, deregistering our boys from UK school , creating remote work, and of course, learning the tricks and rewards of budget family travel … we’ve learned to be quite creative!
Do we homeschool when we travel? Oh no. Lockdowns sucked any ability we ever had to homeschool our kids. Online learning works brilliantly for us! You can read about our approach to online schooling here .
Our longer adventures allow us to embrace slow family travel . Rather than jumping from one place to another to cram as much as possible in, we are happy to spend weeks (and sometimes months) in the one country. This is a deeper travel, a more rewarding travel, where the natural daily routines of staying in the one place for a big chunk of time allows you to feel part of the local community. It’s also a much cheaper way to travel as you’re money goes further.

Our current travel plans
2023 was quite a year for travel, with our main adventure being the 10 weeks backpacking Southeast Asia (which included Thailand , Cambodia , Malaysia , Singapore ). For this, the boys were deregistered from school and Jay took unpaid parental leave .
Click here for our full roundup of travel in 2023.
And as for 2024? Well so far there have been trips to Essaouira, Morocco , and Bucharest, Romania . And in April we moved to Penang, Malaysia ! We’ve been granted digital nomad visas and found the boys a lovely school. We’re so excited about this new adventure!

The eel is not attacking us. But my son, who is seven, thinks it might, so he’s screaming through his snorkel. We are swimming in Santa Maria Bay, a protected marine sanctuary on the southern end of Mexico’s Baja peninsula . We’ve borrowed masks and fins from the Montage Los Cabos, where we’re staying, and the payoff is immediate: just off the white-sand beach, a coral reef is filled with colorful schools of tropical fish (and one scary-looking but harmless eel).
I’m not great at laid-back beach vacations. After ten minutes of sitting in a chair with a book, I start to feel restless. I much prefer trips to the ocean that involve an activity—surfing, snorkling, running along the shore—which is why a spring getaway with my family to Baja was the perfect fit: loads of adventure opportunities await, along with plenty of glorious sandy beaches.
Baja is known for its numerous beachfront resorts, clustered between the cities of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo—known collectively as Los Cabos—but it doesn’t take much time or effort to get off the beaten path and venture into some of the state’s wilder and more rugged zones. And you really should, because with fewer crowds and ample activities, there’s plenty of room to roam.
From surfable breaks along the Pacific Ocean to more mellow waves on the Sea of Cortez, as well as mountains, charming pueblos, and desert landscapes worth exploring, there’s a topography in Baja California Sur for every type of traveler.
And with direct flights from 18 major U.S. hubs into Los Cabos International Airport, getting here for a long weekend is a cinch. Pack light, pick up a rental car, and be on your way. Here are my tips on how to do it right.
3 P.M.: Vamos al Norte
From Los Cabos, drive an hour north along the Pacific on scenic Highway 19. Your destination: Los Cerritos, a low-key beach spot not far from the artsy village of Todos Santos . Even beginner surfers like myself are welcome here, and my kids spent hours each day boogie-boarding and playing in the waves. Check in to Olas de Cerritos (from $153), a boutique hotel steps from the shorefront, with recently renovated rooms, a pool, and free breakfast. If you’re traveling with family or a group and want a condo with a full kitchen and living area instead, Surfside Residences (from $250) offers two-bedroom accommodations within eyesight of the swell, a restaurant, and a pool.
5 P.M.: Enjoy Happy Hour on the Playa
Once you’re settled, stroll over to La Tuna , a waterfront bar and café that opened in April and hosts weekday happy hours from 5 to 6 P.M. I watched the sunset from a swing set up on the deck, and it was magic. You could stay there for dinner, too, or head a block away to Barracuda Cantina , which serves ceviche and fried-avocado tacos. In the evenings, there’s usually live music at Shaka’s , just down the road. Or call it an early night so you can be up and in the surf lineup at dawn.
8 A.M.: Play in the Pacific
Coffee from Café Barra is the way to start your first full day here. The tiny outpost is located just off Cerritos Beach, next to the Costa Azul Surf Shop . Alternatively, pick up a smoothie or fresh juice from Tasi Juice Bar . I frequented the latter during my stay and am still dreaming about the acai bowls.
My family spent the morning on this beach. If you’re an experienced surfer, a total newbie, or a kid with a boogie board, the break at Cerritos has a little something for everyone. Check the surf report before you go, and watch out for the riptide close to the point. Mario’s Surf School has a tent on the shore, rents boards and beach chairs, and offers private lessons ($20 for a board; $80 for an hourlong session). Nearby Big Fun Beach Club awaits, too, with brunch, midday tacos, and volleyball courts.
1 P.M.: Bike The Magical Trails Around Todos
In the afternoon, head 20 minutes up the coast to delightful Todos Santos, a historic mission town designated a pueblo mágico for its charm. Filled with art galleries, cafés, and shops, this enclave is now a paradise for foodies and anyone seeking artisan goods. You could wander the downtown for hours, like I did, or explore the local trails by foot or bike.
6 P.M.: Release Turtle Hatchlings
If you’re visiting between early December and late March, check to see if Tortugueros Las Playitas , a local turtle sanctuary, is releasing baby leatherbacks or olive ridleys into the Pacific on a beach north of Todos Santos. You can participate in the process to help restore endangered turtle populations.
7 P.M.: Dine at an Amazing New Restaurant
In the up-and-coming village of El Pescadero, right on Highway 19 near the turnoff to Los Cerritos, the restaurant Crudo is reached by driving down an obscure gravel road, but the rewards are worth any doubts you might have about whether this is the place: a fantastic raw bar, natural wines, trivia nights, and karaoke.
We ate dinner at Pescadero 62 , which opened this spring with a great outdoor patio, complete with a vintage Volkswagen bus, a colorful wall-size mural, and an eclectic menu featuring tuna tostadas, fresh oysters, and an incredibly good crispy chicken sandwich.
9 A.M.: Fuel Up Like a Local
Breakfast is a quick stop at Agricole , a farm-to- tienda grocer and café in El Pescadero that sells coffee, house-baked pastries, and the most delicious fresas con crema (heaping cups of strawberries and cream) I’ve ever tasted.
Before heading south on the highway, pop in to Baja Beans , a nearby coffee shop that hosts an artisan and farmers’ market out front every Sunday.
11 A.M.: Tour an Organic Farm
Schedule a free walking tour of Flora Farms , a 25-acre working organic farm just north of San José del Cabo that grows fruits and vegetables and harvests chicken and eggs year-round. If you want to stay for lunch in Flora’s Field Kitchen, you’ll need to make a reservation—it’s incredibly popular, and for good reason: the food is as fresh as it gets. The farm also holds cooking classes, art workshops, and movie nights.
1 P.M.: Stroll the Streets of San José del Cabo
Brightly decorated with festoons of papel picado , San José del Cabo has a vibrant center, yet it’s much quieter and has more of a throwback vibe than its sister city, Cabo San Lucas. Start your walk at Plaza Mijares, and grab a torta or tacos for lunch in the mellow courtyard café of the Drift Hotel . I stopped here for a midday meal, but it would also be a good spot to post up for the night if you want to stay in town (from $178).
3 P.M.: Choose the Best End to Your Weekend Adventures
Depending on the kind of long weekend you’ve planned, I can recommend two final stays with outside options.
For a splurge to cap off your trip, book a room at Montage Los Cabos (from $1,200), where I was handed a grapefruit margarita the moment I arrived and a beach butler arranged towels on my lie-back chair. The hotel is ideally positioned on one of the most beautiful beaches in Baja, Santa Maria Bay, which has calm waters and easy swimming and paddling. Besides high-end service and gourmet dining, the real beauty of the Montage is the adventure planning: an on-site concierge helped us book guided mountain-bike rides and canyoneering outings; while these activities are not included in the nightly rate, snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, and yoga classes are.
We spent our final afternoon there on the beach, followed by off-roading to a short trail, where we hiked up a canyon with a creek running down the center of it. Afterward? We headed straight to Paletas, the hotel’s on-site market, for house-made popsicles in a range of tropical flavors. Dinner that night was at the hotel’s Mediterranean-inspired Marea restaurant, which overlooks the water.
For a more affordable lodging option, the Cabo Surf Hotel (from $338) is located just ten miles up the coast on Playa Acapulquito. Friends have stayed here before and raved about the convenient beachfront location and laid-back vibe, especially refreshing in contrast to many of the more ostentatious resorts in the vicinity. The hotel has standard rooms with great beach access, a pool, and on-site surf instructors.
When to Visit Baja California Sur
While visitors flock to this region year-round, November through April tend to be the most popular period, due to cooler, milder temperatures and the possibility of seeing more abundant marine life, including stellar whale-watching. Gray whales begin arriving in the waters off the Pacific coast of the peninsula in December for their mating season, before migrating back north toward the Arctic in late spring. Plenty of certified outfitters offer whale-watching excursions by boat, but you can also spot them from most beaches along the western coast.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – President Joe Biden is expected to travel to North Carolina on Thursday to meet with the family members of four officers killed earlier this week in the deadliest attack on U.S. law enforcement since 2016.
The president is scheduled to visit Wilmington across the state that day and is planning to add a stop in Charlotte to meet with local officials and the families of officers shot Monday while serving a warrant, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The four officers were killed when a task force made up of officers from different agencies arrived in the residential neighborhood in the city of 900,000 to try to capture 39-year-old Terry Clark Hughes Jr. on warrants for possession of a firearm by an ex-felon and fleeing to elude in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Hughes was also killed.
Four other officers were wounded in the shootout, and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, a 40-caliber handgun and ammunition were found at the scene. Those killed were identified as Sam Poloche and William Elliott of the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections; Charlotte-Mecklenburg Officer Joshua Eyer; and Deputy U.S. Marshal Thomas Weeks.
After the attack, Biden expressed his condolences and support for the community, calling the slain officers “heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, rushing into harm’s way to protect us."
“We must do more to protect our law enforcement officers. That means funding them – so they have the resources they need to do their jobs and keep us safe. And it means taking additional action to combat the scourge of gun violence. Now," Biden said in a statement, calling on leaders in Congress to pass a ban on assault weapons, among other gun control measures.
Outside the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department's North Tryon Division on Wednesday, Eyer's patrol car was draped with an American flag and covered with flower bouquets from community members who stopped to pay their respects.
The department called the vehicle a “solemn tribute” and “visible reminder of Officer Eyer’s sacrifice and service,” in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. Eyer's memorial service is scheduled for Friday at a Charlotte Baptist church.
Also on Wednesday, a local police chief said that an officer from his force who was shot Monday underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery. David W. Onley, the police chief of Statesville in the Charlotte metropolitan area, expressed condolences Wednesday and “unwavering solidarity with our law enforcement brethren during this difficult time,” according to a statement released by his office.
One of the four officers injured in the attack was Cpl. Casey Hoover of the Statesville Police Department, who served on the task force. He was shot in his upper torso — an area unprotected by his bulletproof vest.
Hoover was taken by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to a Charlotte hospital, where he underwent surgery. Onley said the officer, who has worked for the Statesville police for eight years, is now stable and is expected to make a full recovery and “exemplifies the bravery and resilience of our law enforcement community.”
Law enforcement officers were still investigating Wednesday, attempting to determine a precise timeline of events and whether Hughes acted alone or with a second shooter.
Hughes’ criminal record in North Carolina goes back more than a decade. It includes prison time and convictions for breaking and entering, reckless driving, eluding arrest and illegally possessing a gun as a former felon, according to state records.
The attack was the deadliest day for U.S. law enforcement in one incident since five officers were killed by a sniper during a protest in Dallas in 2016.

A few months ago, I wrote a story for this column where I shared the “must items” that I always pack for my winter trips. Fortunately, given my job as a travel writer, I have the privilege of learning about the latest and greatest products that promise to make my global escapades that much easier, convenient or stylish.
The list is ever evolving and changes depending on the time of year. My last essentials column was a peek into my suitcase for cold weather forays. Now, with the weather- thankfully- becoming warmer, it’s time to turn to spring.
My go-tos for my spring trips follow.

Ninja's Ninja Blast Portable Blender
Early last year, I went through a health crisis due to my extreme irritable bowl syndrome (IBS) and stress, both of which had me drop close to 20 pounds. Given that I was already on the leaner side, the weight loss was less than ideal and caused anemia, along with a host of other symptoms. I wanted to turn my health around but wasn’t willing to give my life on the road.
Thanks to my incredible dietician, I discovered a lifesaving protein powder, TumLove , that’s specifically designed for people with sensitive guts like me. Ninja’s Portable Blender transforms my daily sustenance into the most delicious drink wherever in the world I am. I throw in ice, cold brew coffee, a scoop of the powder and a splash of nondairy creamer. I simply push a button, and in 30 seconds, I have a cool, creamy dose of tastiness that rivals any smoothie bar drink.
You can use whatever ingredients you want to create your own dream beverage, whether it’s healthy or not. The Ninja Blast is rechargeable device that’s easy to clean, pack and light. It helps keep you well fueled on any trip.
Initio Parfums
Initio's addictive 50Ml Musk Therapy.
As a fragrance lover, I’m a big believer that a generous dose of a high-quality killer perfume is the perfect and sophisticated finish to any look- day or night, casual or dressed up. Enter Initio Parfums Prives, a Paris-based fragrance house behind the most pleasure evoking, captivating scents crafted with pure and superior ingredients.
The brand recently introduced 50 ml TSA-friendly sizes of four of it most popular fragrances: Atomic Rose, Musk Therapy, Oud for Greatness and Side Effect.
Each is unique, and I’m addicted all. I liberally them on myself once or twice a day. They get me instant attention from friends, acquaintances and strangers and are a mainstay in my toiletry kit and handbag. I tend to go for the refreshing Atomic Rose for sightseeing and excursions during the day and the heavier, more alluring Oud for Greatness come night.
Elevate Mascara by Arbonne
Arbonne's Elevate mascara.
With Arbonne’s new Elevate mascara, I don’t need to weigh down my travel bag with any other makeup. It gives me that va va voom look in just one coat. The wand curls my lashes without plumping or smudging plus the formula nourishes and hydrates them with the B vitamins and biotin it contains. I have multiple tubes for my purse and carry-on so I have it handy wherever I am.
Double Face Cashmere Coat Reversible by Catherine Gee
The Reversible Cashmere Coat
I’ve been a fan of the Santa Barbara-based designer Catherine Gee for years. Her silk blouses in catchy prints are divine- whenever I wear one of the many I own, I’m bombarded with compliments. It’s no surprise then that her new cashmere coat is next-level. I honestly can’t live without it irrespective of if I’m traveling or not.
Reaching to my mid-thigh, this coat is cozy and incredibly versatile-one side is solid mocha tipped with an ivory border while the other features a gorgeous leopard print. Style with jeans, a tee and sneakers, wear over a sexy slip dress in Paris or use it to keep you warm on chilly airplanes. I’ve done all of the above.
Avalon Collection from Ricardo Beverly Hills
The new Avalon collection.
It’s hard not to like a luggage collection that speaks to my fashion sensibility and is sustainable too, but that’s why the new Avalon line of bags from Ricardo Beverly Hills is a winner.
The soft-sided pieces include a carry on and medium and large check in suitcases, all of which have storage pockets that keep you organized. They’re made from recycled plastic waste plus the lining and body fabric are fully recycled. In addition, this luggage is eye-catching, affordable compared to other luggage brands and durable. I took them on my recent trip to Bhutan, a journey that gave them a real beating, and they returned back to my home base of New York looking almost as good as new.
The Eaton Bunny from Moose Knuckles
The Eaton Bunny
Stylish and comfortable at the same time, the Eaton Bunny from the cult brand Moose Knuckles is the only jacket you need to pack for any spring escape.
As a bonus, it’s reversible: one side features silky-soft faux fur, perfect for staying cozy on chilly flights or breezy evenings. Flip it over, and you're equipped with eco-conscious nylon micro ripstop, ideal for shielding yourself from unexpected rain. This piece also has a hood and plenty of pockets to hold small items and is lightweight yet durable.

Jerry Seinfeld's 3 Kids: All About Sascha, Julian and Shepherd
Get to know Jerry Seinfeld’s three kids: Sascha Betty, Julian Kal and Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld
Contributor, PEOPLE
Jessica Seinfeld Instagram
Jerry Seinfeld may not have any children on-screen in the semi-fictional sitcom Seinfeld , but in real life, he's a proud husband to Jessica Seinfeld and father of three accomplished children: Sascha, 23, Julian, 21, and Shepherd, 18.
That said, Jerry wasn't exactly a "natural" when his first child was born. "He wasn't immediately pushing strollers and carrying babies," Jessica told Parents magazine in 2020. "He jokes that it took him a good 10 years to warm up."
"He travels often and usually over weekends, so a lot of the early caretaking, sports and activities were left to me," she added.
Once the couple's kids were in their teens, however, Jerry found his footing as a father and role model.
"Jerry's strength is now, with our three teenagers," Jessica said. "He's patient with them. Where I am weaker, he is stronger, and we complement each other. I wouldn't change anything."
Jessica and all three of the kids were there to support Jerry at the premiere of his new Netflix movie, Unfrosted , in April 2024. The entire family posed for photos together on the carpet after they arrived.
Here's everything to know about Jerry Seinfeld's three children.
Sascha Betty Seinfeld, 23
Jerry and Jessica's oldest child, Sascha Betty, was born on Nov. 7, 2000, in New York. "Both parents and baby are doing great," Seinfeld's rep told the Associate Press at the time.
Years later, Sascha celebrated her bat mitzvah, which was held two weeks after her 13th birthday, E! News reported . Many of her parents' famous friends were in attendance, including George Stephanopoulos and Andy Cohen.
When she was 15, Jerry taught Sascha how to drive — specifically, how to drive a stick shift.
"I taught my daughter to drive a stick," Jerry told PEOPLE at an event in April 2016. She learned on "an old beat-up Land Rover with a stick shift," he continued. "I was very proud of her. Because I'm a car guy, I want my daughter to drive a stick."
In 2019, Sascha graduated from The Chapin School, an all-girls independent day school located on the Upper East Side in New York City.
Jessica commemorated the day with an Instagram post . "ConGraduations to all class of 2019er's, but specifically to our firstborn, 😻 Sascha Betty Seinfeld," she wrote in the caption. "😻We are so proud to be your parents."
Four years later, Sascha graduated from Duke University.
While she was in college, Sascha helped write a sketch for the first episode of season 5 of Inside Amy Schumer . Jessica expressed how proud she was of her daughter on Instagram, and Sascha reposted the news on her own Instagram Story, writing that she was "honored" to have been part of the "incredible" season.
Julian Kal Seinfeld, 21
Three years following the birth of their first child, the Seinfelds welcomed their first son, Julian Kal. Julian was born on March 1, 2003.
Not long before Jerry taught Sascha how to drive, he and the rest of the Seinfeld family celebrated Julian's bar mitzvah, an occasion which Jessica playfully labeled "Jew-Chella."
"We had Jew-Chella meaning Friday night service, Saturday service, rager on Saturday night and then Sunday morning brunch with my family," Jessica told PEOPLE. "We had a raging party in New York City where people aged 70 down to age 5 were on the dance floor for five hours straight. It was so fun!"
According to Julian's LinkedIn profile , he attended Ethical Culture Fieldston School, a private independent school in New York City, and graduated in May 2021.
"Cheers to the global class of 2021 and especially our very own graduate. We love you ❤️ and the lifelong friends made at the extraordinary @ecfs1878," Jessica wrote in a congratulatory Instagram post . "We will miss teachers, parents, administrators and kids who have made Ethical Culture/Fieldston the joyful, caring (and complicated) place it is. Thank you all for working so hard, through the pandemic, and for making an in-person commencement possible."
Following in his sister's footsteps, Julian is now studying at Duke University to pursue a bachelor's degree in sociology. He is expected to graduate in 2025.
Shepherd Kellen Seinfeld, 18
The youngest of the Seinfeld children, Shepherd Kellen, was born on Aug. 22, 2005.
While the Seinfelds have kept Shepherd out of the spotlight the most, Jerry and Jessica have opened up about their family life over the years.
"I love having a family and kids and all the madness," Jerry told Parade in 2010. "There is no aspect of it I don’t like. Even when it’s horrible, I love it. I didn’t realize how tired of single life I was and how ready I was for married life.”
The 18-year-old has joined his family for special occasions, too , including attending the annual gala for Jessica's charity GOOD+ Foundation gala. He also met President Joe Biden in 2016 with his parents and older siblings.
In 2022, the family of five reunited for a vacation to Italy, where Jessica shared rare photos of Shepherd, Sascha and Julian on Instagram. "We are all reunited after too many months apart," she captioned one of the images taken in Capri, Italy.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen love pets so much, they want to ensure they have access to top-quality food.
The pair, who are the proud owners of four dogs, have announced that they are teaming up professionally for the first time to launch a pet food company, Kismet . Legend told People magazine in an exclusive interview that this new venture couldn’t be a more perfect fit for the couple.
“We’ve been pet parents for so long, and this is so core to who we are, and to the way our house is, and just who we are as people that we felt like, ‘Let’s do this one together,'” said the “All of Me” singer.
Legend explained how their love of dogs, in particular, began with the first dog Teigen adopted in 2008, an English bulldog named Puddy.
“Of course, we love dogs, we love food, we love the culture and community around dogs and being a pet parent. And we thought, why not? Let’s create our own dog food and create a brand that celebrates dog culture and community and connects pet parents around the country,” the dog dad explained.
Kismet, officially launched on May 1, is available online . The brand carries two varieties of dog food, four different varieties of treats, and quality dog-lover merch. Made with the help of board-certified veterinarians, the brand’s offerings boast quality ingredients, real animal byproducts, and pre and probiotics.
The brand also prides itself on being accessible. Presently, the dog food comes in two different sizes: a 9lb bag for $44 and a 19lb bag for $79.99, which are comparable to top brands on the shelves of major grocery stores. Consumers can also subscribe to the brand to receive a partial discount. According to Kismet’s website, proceeds from every purchase go to supporting Kismet Cares and its beneficiaries: Project Street Vet and Paws for Life.
The list of Black-owned or partially-owned pet companies is still a short one, although it includes Ava’s Pet Palace , Trill Paws , and others. Kismet will join Pet Plate on the market as one of the only dog food brands with a Black founder.
Legend and Teigen stressed to People how much their love of their own canine kids has driven them to launch this brand. Together, they own a basset hound named Pearl, a French bulldog named Penny, a poodle named Petey, and their latest addition, Pebbles. Legend noted how the dogs have been with the couple for “every celebration and every tragedy.”

“We’ve also had to grieve dogs together,” he continued. “Our first two dogs are no longer with us, and that was the first time we really grieved together when we lost Puddy. And so once you go through those experiences together, it just helps build the character of your relationship.”
As we know, pets and their owners often share similar characteristics. While Teigen said she is most like their dog Pearl, Legend said he felt most similar to Petey the poodle.
“He’s our only boy. But also, I act different when I get a haircut, too,” he joked.
Legend said he and Teigen chose the name “Kismet” to evoke the otherwordly “connection” pet owners often have with their pets.
He described the connection as “That ‘Oh, I’m so glad we found each other, and we were made for each other’ feeling — and we feel like a lot of pets and their parents feel that way about each other.”

Newlyweds Nick Viall and Natalie Joy Jet Off on Honeymoon With 2-Month-Old Daughter
Newlyweds Nick Viall and Natalie Joy are turning their honeymoon into a family affair.
“Honeymoon begins,” Viall, 43, captioned an Instagram selfie on Monday, April 29, featuring himself and Joy, 25, sitting on an airplane as he held their 2-month-old daughter, River. In the snap, Viall sported a sweet smile as his little one peacefully rested on his shoulder.
Viall shared the same snap via his Instagram Story on Monday but did not reveal where the family of three were heading.
Viall and Joy walked down the aisle in Georgia just two days prior. “Husband and Wife,” Viall captioned a slideshow of wedding pics via Instagram on Sunday, April 28, including several photos of the couple posing with their baby girl.

Viall also shared a handful of pics and clips from the pair’s Western-themed wedding reception, which was attended by family, friends and several Bachelor Nation stars. “The welcome party was giving love and country chic,” he captioned a video montage of the afterparty.
The duo got engaged back in January 2023 after more than two years of dating. “For the rest of my life, it’s you,” Viall wrote via Instagram at the time.
Nearly eight months later, they announced that Joy was pregnant with their first baby. Sharing maternity photo shoot pics via Instagram , Joy wrote, “Our biggest dream came true.”

Viall and Joy welcomed baby River in February, revealing via Instagram that their daughter is “named after Natalie’s great grandmother and niece.” Viall added: “The best part of life starts now 🦢🕊️☁️💗.”
Viall opened up about his daughter’s birth story on an episode of his “Viall Files” podcast later that month, revealing that River’s umbilical cord was “ wrapped around her neck several times.” He explained: “I did not see until my mom showed us the footage that [she] took … and you just see [the nurses] unwrapping the umbilical cord.”
He also shared that River “came out and she had a bump on her head,” which was something Joy had “prepped” him for. “Had I not, I probably would have been freaking out,” he confessed.

Viall went on to gush about his early interactions with his daughter in the hospital. “I went over by River and started just kissing her and she just stopped crying,” he tearfully shared, to which Joy added, “She recognized his voice and she stopped crying.”
While the new parents couldn’t be happier with their bundle of joy, Viall admitted that they have faced challenges in their sex life since welcoming River. “It’s logistically hard ‘cause you have this little baby and she’s an angel and all of that and she’s obviously always by our side,” he said on his podcast earlier this month. “Part of that, we had Natalie’s mom [living with us, too]. The best we could have done was, ‘Here, we’re going to go into the bedroom’ and that feels odd. So, we haven’t got that comfortable with her mom yet.”
He continued: “The spirit is there, but logistically we haven’t quite cracked that code.”
