Moose watching in Maine.

Maine’s majestic mountains, deep woods and rocky coasts are home to awe-inspiring wildlife. You can sometimes spot whales right from the coast, but a whale watching cruise will give you a close-up view of humpback whales, pilot whales, minke whales, finback whales and more. Birdwatchers will find themselves in a state of bliss, especially if they’re hoping for a glimpse of puffins. Maine’s ocean islands make the perfect nesting sites for the orange-billed beauties, and Seal Island and Matinicus Rock at the mouth of Penobscot Bay are reliable viewing areas. To catch a glimpse of the king of the Maine woods, book a moose watching tour (or moose safari) from mid-May through July or in the fall.

Whether you decide to make the rounds by car or by boat, plan on checking out a few icons like the Cape Neddick lighthouse in York , the Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth , and the West Quoddy Head Light in Lubec—the only red-and-white striped lighthouse in the country. Then be sure to cruise along one of Maine’s four National Scenic Byways. Acadia All-American Road—the only to be designated as an All-American Road—winds through Mt. Desert Island and Bar Harbor .

  • My place is also your place, you can come whenever you like

“Come over” is one of the common phrases people use when they want someone to come to their place.

It’s an informal expression and very common among friends when they want each other over at their place. However, you can use this expression politely in a formal environment.

When you ask someone to come over, you’re inviting them to a place; it could be your office or your house, or any location you want them.

So, it’s a cool way to ask someone to pay you or your family a visit if you don’t want to use the expression “visit us.”

Below are ways you can use the expression:

  • I want you to come over to my office later so we can talk better
  • You can always come over to my place when you like

Contact Us at the…

If you don’t want to say “come visit us” to an acquaintance or a colleague, you can always ask them to contact you wherever you wish.

Asking someone to contact you at your office or home is a good way to ask them to visit you without saying it.

For instance, if you met with a potential client and you want them to visit, you can tell them to contact you at your office or home to discuss further.

In this way, you’ve asked them to visit you without saying it directly. Additionally, it’s a formal expression you use with an acquaintance or within a formal environment.

Below are the ways to use the expression:

  • You can contact us at the office if you want to find out more
  • Tell them to contact us at home. It’ll be more convenient there

Another expression you can use if you don’t want to say “come visit us” is “drop by.” This is a cool way to invite someone to a place of your choice.

It’s another common informal expression that friends or anyone can use to ask someone to visit them somewhere.

However, you can also use this expression in a formal setting if you’re polite. So, if you don’t want to use the word “visit us,” you can tell anyone to drop by later at your place.

Below is a way you can use this expression to invite someone over to a place:

  • Can you drop by the house later? We’ve some unfinished business
  • You can drop by later and say “hi”

We Are Happy to Host You at Our…

You can always ask someone over to your place without making it obvious that you want them to visit.

If it’s the case that you want a friend or colleague to meet with your family, you can use dinner or lunch to bring them to your place.

One good way to achieve that is by telling them you’re happy to host them at your desired location.

It could be your workplace or your house; if you want someone to visit you, use a dinner or lunch to lure them where you want.

In addition, it’s a polite request that will be difficult to turn down. Also, this statement can both work in a formal and informal setting.

Below is how you can use this statement:

  • We are happy to host you at our house on Sunday
  • We are happy to host you at the office anytime

Won’t You Come and Know…?

Here, you’re tactical by appealing to their emotions. If it’s the case that you built a new home or office and you want friends to visit you, you can blackmail them into doing that.

Or if you’ve got a friend who has never visited you, good blackmail can work too.

A good example is by asking if they won’t come and know your house or office or club or whatever place it is.

A good friend or colleague should be moved and give in. Of course, they wouldn’t want to seem like a bad friend. So, this is a perfect way of asking someone to visit you without actually saying it.

Here’s how to use this expression:

  • Won’t you come and know our new office? You’ve never been there
  • Won’t you come and know where we live?

Another good expression that can work to invite someone over to a place is to ask them to come by.

This is another informal expression that you can politely use in a formal setting.

When you ask someone to come by your place, you’re letting them know that you want them at your place in clear terms.

So, this is the perfect way to ask someone to your place without using the words “come visit us.”

Below is a way you can use this phrase:

  • We’ll be delighted if you come by the office to check it out
  • I’d love you to come by later, there’s a lot to discuss

Can We Talk Later at the…?

Here’s another tactical approach to inviting someone to your place without making it obvious. When you want someone over to your place, ask them politely if you can talk there.

This approach doesn’t give them plenty of options, especially if they’re your friends, or if it’s your workplace you want them to visit.

For instance, someone who isn’t comfortable with you might turn you down if you ask them to talk at your house. However, if you ask to talk with them in your office, they can hardly say no.

So, if you want someone to visit where you work or live, you can lure them with plans to talk.

Below is a good way to go about it:

  • Can we talk later at the house? This place is noisy
  • Can we talk later at the office? It’ll be a great place to relax and catch on

We’ll Be Delighted to Have You During Thanksgiving

Another tactical approach to asking someone to your place is to lure them during “Thanksgiving.”

“Thanksgiving” is a national holiday in some countries and states. So, it’s a good time to ask for a visit. A good way to go about that is to let them know you’ll be delighted to have them during Thanksgiving.

It could be friends, neighbors, colleagues, acquaintances, or even strangers; when you want someone to pay you a visit at your house, ask them for a “Thanksgiving” lunch.

Due to the nature of the holiday; a time of sharing and giving, people will hardly turn down this visit. So, try this approach when you want someone to visit you but you don’t want to spell it out.

Check Us at…

Another wonderful way you can ask someone for a visit subtly is by using this statement.

When you ask someone to check you out at a particular place, it tells them you want them there. It’s a good approach to use when discussing business with someone or talking casually to a friend or colleague.

For instance, if you want a client to visit your business area, this statement is a good way to make your request known.

Here’s how you can use this statement:

  • Check us at our new place, you’d love it
  • Can you check us at the house? We won’t be at the office today

“Stop by” is another phrase you can use when you want someone to pay you a visit at your place.

This is another informal expression that you can use to make your request. Also, you can use it in a business environment or your workplace.

For instance, if you’re longing to see someone or have someone over at your place, ask them to stop by. This expression sounds like a simple thing to do.

It’s a good approach to use when you know they’ll pass by your place anytime.

Here’s a good way to use this phrase:

  • You can stop by before going to the market
  • Why not stop by on your way back from church so we discuss this better

Crash at Our…

Another way you can ask someone to visit is by asking them to crash at your place.

This is a good approach to use when you know the person doesn’t have plenty of options.

For instance, if you’re both returning from a party and you know your house is closer, you can suggest they crash at your place.

In this way, you’ve got what you want without saying “come visit us.”

  • Why not crash at our place for the weekend? It’ll be easier to get the bus from here
  • You can crash at our place tonight, you can’t drive in this state

My Place is also Your Place, You Can Come Whenever You Like

This is another tactical way to get someone to visit you without saying it out loud.

Also, this is another emotional statement you can use to get someone reluctant to come to visit you. In addition, it’s suitable to use with friends or someone you share a solid relationship with.

When you tell them your place is also theirs and they can come whenever they like, they should get it that you want them to visit.

Call on Us at…

“Call on us” is another wonderful phrase you can use to ask someone to visit you.

When you ask someone to call you at the office for a discussion, they should come to your office for it. So, in this way, you’ve gotten them to visit if that was your intention.

So, this is a cool way to get someone to visit you if you don’t want to spell it out.

Below are ways to use this expression:

  • Call on us at the office, we can’t discuss this over the phone
  • Make sure to call on us at home, we’ve all you need there

You can also ask someone to drop in at your place if you want them to visit.

Using “drop in” is another good approach to get someone to come by your house or office without sounding obvious. Also, this is an informal expression that tells the person that they’re free to visit anytime.

When someone drops in on you, it means they visit you informally without arranging it.

Here’s how you can use this expression:

  • Why not drop in anytime you’re free
  • You can always drop in whenever you visit the town

other ways to say come visit us

“Pay a call” is another cool expression you can use to ask someone to visit you.

This is a great expression that you can use formally or informally. However, it’s more formal. So, if you want someone to visit you, you can ask them to pay a call at your place.

Here’s how you can use the expression:

  • Pay a call at my office in the evening, I have something for you
  • Kindly pay a call at my house later, we’ve some pending discussions

other ways to say come visit us

As you can see from this article, there are numerous ways you can ask someone to visit you without saying the word.

So, when next you want someone at your house or office or any location, try any of these examples to get you that visit.

They are tactical approaches that can hardly be turned down. Also, don’t forget to add yours.

  • A computer.
  • A webcam and a microphone, or a computer with these components built in (most laptops have these built in).

  • High speed internet (DSL or Cable) connection (dial up and satellite are not supported).

How to Schedule a Visit

Free video visit policy.

Free visits are a benefit for the inmate and are credited to the  inmate’s account. Therefore the inmate is the only one who  can book a free visit . This allows the inmate at your facility full control of whom they want to use their free visit with. There are also advanced scheduling rules that control the timeframe that a free visit can be booked. These rules vary by facility. If an inmate books a visit outside this timeframe, they will not be allowed to use a free visit.

  • Book the visit with their Friends & Family.

The Four Horsemen are putting together their third act with the anticipated Now You See Me 3 .

The third film in the heist-thriller franchise was first announced all the way back in 2015 but has undergone some changes through the years.

Recently, fans got a major update as Lionsgate confirmed pre-production for the film has commenced during CinemaCon . Additionally, they confirmed which stars would be reprising their roles, and which new actors would be joining the cast.

The first film premiered in 2013 and captivated audiences with its storytelling and big twists and turns. Following a group of illusionists named the Four Horsemen, the group uses their magical tricks to stage a series of heists to right some wrongs.

A follow-up film was released three years later in 2016, following the Four Horsemen after they were exposed by a foe, and discovered the true secrets behind a secret society called the Eye, made up of the most skilled magicians.

Ahead, here’s everything we know about Now You See Me 3 , from the cast to the director.

Which cast members are returning for Now You See Me 3 ?

According to The Hollywood Reporter , original cast members Jesse Eisenberg , Woody Harrelson , Isla Fisher and Dave Franco are expected to reprise their roles as the Four Horsemen.

Fisher did not reprise her original role in the 2016 sequel; instead, Lizzy Caplan ’s character joined the Four Horsemen group in her place. It’s unclear if Mean Girls alum Caplan will reprise her role as Lula May in the third film.

Various outlets report that Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman are set to reprise their characters in the film, however, nothing has been confirmed. It’s also unclear if Jay Chou, who appeared in the second film, will return. Chou was previously attached to a spinoff film announced in 2016 , which was said to be shot in China. However, there have been no further developments on the project.

Originally, the film was going to be helmed by Jon M. Chu , who notably directed the second film. However, in 2022, he was replaced by Ruben Fleischer. The director is no stranger to working with Eisenberg and Harrelson having previously helmed Zombieland and Zombieland: Double Tap , which also starred Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin.

Lionsgate hasn’t confirmed the official plotline for Now You See Me 3 . Seeing as the second film ended with a major reveal about the leader of the Eye, it’s likely that the film could pick up after that and showcase how the Four Horsemen have been dealing with their new roles in the secret society.

When will Now You See Me 3 film?

While Lionsgate hasn’t made an official announcement about filming, Eisenberg previously teased the start date during an interview with ComingSoon . When asked about the project, the actor noted that production was set to begin in 2024.

He later gave a more definite update on filming while speaking with Collider in March 2024, noting that the screenplay was finished and he anticipated to start shooting in the “next six months."

When will Now You See Me 3 be released?

The film doesn’t currently have a release, however, with production expected to start by the end of 2024, the movie likely won’t hit theaters until late 2025.

Hello everybody, I have a question about what preposition to use with the following sentences: I went to visit him to his work. I went to visit him at his work. I went to visit him in his work. I visited her in hospital. I visited her at the hospital. Thank you

At his work and in (the) hospital , although at his work doesn't really work for me, I'd say at work or at his workplace.

The Newt

"At the hospital" or (less commonly) "in the hospital" work in US English; we can't delete the definite article as the Brits do. "At his work" is acceptable, but as SReynolds suggests there are better alternatives.

Would you really say that I visited him at the hospital is more common than I visited him in the hospital ? In my personal experience, in the hospital is much more frequently used.

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell in "Anyone But You."

Anyone But You finally made its Netflix streaming debut, which is exciting news for rom-com fans everywhere. As you watch the movie, you might be wondering where Anyone But You was filmed and if you can visit the breathtaking beaches, cliffs, and other locations in real life.

Loosely adapted from Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” Anyone But You stars Glen Powell as Ben, a finance bro who has an incredible first date with Bea (Sydney Sweeney), a law student uncertain about her career. After spending the night, Bea panics and leaves without telling him. When she realizes she made a mistake and returns to his apartment, she overhears Ben saying that she is a “nothing” to him.

Years later, they unexpectedly reunite at a destination wedding in Australia for Bea’s sister, who is marrying Ben’s friend. When their exes show up, they pretend to be a couple—and the rest is history. The film was directed and co-written by Will Gluck, the filmmaker behind rom-coms like Easy A and Friends with Benefits . It was released in December and had an impressive run at the box office, surpassing $88 million domestically and $219 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo .

After its release, the movie went viral on TikTok as audience goers reacted to the film’s credit sequence, which features the cast dancing and singing to Natasha Bedingfield’s nostalgic 2004 hit “Unwritten,” a song highlighted throughout the film. There were also rumors of an off-screen romance between Powell and Sweeney that helped promote the film, as well as the actors’ flirty publicity tour and Sydney Sweeney’s SNL monologue .

Now, Anyone But You is back in the limelight after the film was released on Netflix on April 23, quickly becoming the No. 1 movie on the platform in the U.S. after just one day.

Anyone But You was filmed in parts of Australia around New South Wales and Sydney. Director Will Gluck told The Hollywood Reporter that he wanted the film set in Sydney because he had “really fallen in love with the city” and liked it so much he moved his family there.

“Almost every time you shoot a movie in Sydney, you have to pretend it’s somewhere else and frame out the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. For Anyone But You , I thought, “Why do that?” We actually wrote this movie 100 percent for Sydney — very specific to the destination,” Gluck wrote.

The director continued, “We flew helicopters all over — seeing the city from that vantage point is stunning — and landed one at the Opera House, shut down the Harbour Bridge, filmed at the Queen Victoria Building, and shot for two weeks overlooking Bondi Beach,” he said. “We spent a week on a boat in Sydney Harbour shooting a scene where they’re stranded on a buoy, but you can’t have humans in the water without a shark cage, so we had to have one the whole time. You pinch yourself. It’s so unbelievable we were actually doing these things.”

Here are a few specific Anyone But You filming locations you can visit in person.

Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Opera House is a focal point in Anyone But You. The 20th-century architectural landmark serves as a gorgeous backdrop for big moments, including the end scene when Ben passionately kisses Bea, who is standing at the top of the steps. You can visit the performing arts center for special events and tours.

Marks Park, Bondi

Located in Sydney's northern suburbs, the wedding scene in Anyone But You was filmed at Marks Park overlooking Bondi Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The cliff-top park is open to the public and has fitness stations, a playground, and some shaded areas.

Many of Anyone But You ’s breathtaking beach scenes were filmed around Palm Beach. Director Will Gluck told THR that one of the best parts of filming was on location in Palm Beach, a suburb in the Northern Beaches.

“Our caravans were parked right on the water, and Glen and Sydney and I decided to live there the whole time. We’d shoot all day and all the crew would go home, then we’d jump in the water and have a swim, go to our trailers and have dinner sitting outside,” he said. “It’s one of the most beautiful places in the world, and you normally wouldn’t be allowed to sleep there. It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had filming.”

Jones Bay Wharf

The historic Jones Bay Wharf is another familiar filming location in Anyone But You. The hidden gem in the Pyrmont district is home to fine dining restaurants, charming cafes, and beautiful views the of the city and Harbour Bridge.

While on their way to collect flowers for the wedding, Ben and his friend Pete are seen walking alongside the Queen Victoria Building. The Romanesque 19th-century building is actually a five-level shopping center with fashion boutiques, jewelry stores, cafes, and restaurants.

Anyone But You is now streaming on Netflix.

Primary in Pennsylvania is here: A 2024 election guide from ballot issues to House races

visit me here

President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have essentially clinched their party’s 2024 nominations for the White House. But Pennsylvania voters on Tuesday will cast their ballots in a slew of contentious and potentially decisive congressional and state races that are still sure to make waves as the campaign chugs toward November.

The primary results in this pivotal swing state are certain to reveal insights about the major issues shaping the general election, namely on abortion and the Israel-Hamas war.

All 17 members of Pennsylvania’s congressional delegation are running for re-election in 2024 and three of those incumbents are facing serious primary challengers. Several others are also watching to see who their opponent will be in the fall. And, in some cases, the outcome of Tuesday’s races could determine which way those seats swing on Election Day.

While it's a far-flung possibility, which party has a majority in Pennsylvania's congressional delegation also could have major implications on the presidential race. If the 2024 White House election is contested or tied, each state’s congressional delegation will have a single vote in deciding the winner. Currently, Democrats have a 9-8 advantage — meaning one general election race in November could make all the difference.

At the state level, Democrats are hoping to hold on to their majority in the state House and take control of the state Senate. Republicans currently hold a 28-22 majority in the Senate, and Democrats are hoping to flip at least three seats to make it 25-25, giving them the majority via a tie-breaking vote from Democratic Lieutenant Gov. Austin Davis.

Prep for the polls: See who is running for president and compare where they stand on key issues in our Voter Guide

Five Democrats and two Republicans are also battling for the open state attorney general position, once held by Democratic Gov.  Josh Shapiro . Michelle Henry, who is completing the remainder of Shapiro’s term since he was elected governor in 2022, is not running for the position.

Candidates across these races are running on some of the biggest issues facing the country — from abortion to the war in Gaza to election integrity. And the candidates whom Democratic and Republican voters pick on Tuesday could give larger insights about their views on topics that appear central to this fall's general election.

Here's a look at what to expect in Tuesday's primary.

Abortion at play in Pennsylvania races

Abortion has roiled down-ballot races across the country, and Pennsylvania is no exception. Reproductive rights have been a major topic in the attorney general’s race and in the Republican primary for the 1 st Congressional District.

All five Democratic candidates for attorney general have committed to protecting the right to abortion and access to FDA-approved medications such as mifepristone . Meanwhile, the Republican candidates have said that they do not believe the state constitution guarantees the right to an abortion. As attorney general, both would leave the issue for the state legislature to decide.

In Pennsylvania’s 1 st Congressional District, longtime Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick is being challenged on his right flank by a candidate who believes abortions should be banned in nearly all circumstances — including in cases of rape and incest.

Mark Houck, Fitzpatrick’s opponent, was acquitted of criminal charges stemming from an altercation at an abortion clinic.  The incident reportedly inspired him to run for public office. A devout Catholic, Houck co-founded the men's religious group The King's Men. He's worked as an author, motivational speaker and human resources manager.

Fitzpatrick is a moderate Republican. He is one of a handful of Republican representatives serving in districts that Biden won in 2020.

The primary race could demonstrate just how important the issue of abortion is for the Republican Party’s base.

Pennsylvania Democrats clash on Israel-Hamas war

In Pennsylvania’s 12 th District, which includes Pittsburgh and some of its suburbs, first-term progressive Rep. Summer Lee, is facing a primary challenge over her opposition to the Israel-Hamas war. Bhavini Patel, a more moderate Democratic congressional candidate has tried to closely align herself with President Joe Biden.

Lee, who is affiliated with the “squad,” was among the early advocates in Congress calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. She has been an outspoken opponent of providing U.S. military aid to Israel.

Patel is a 29-year-old municipal council member who also describes herself as a progressive. She has framed the incumbent's criticism of Israel as detrimental to Biden’s re-election efforts and unrepresentative of a district that is home to a large Jewish community.

The election on Tuesday could reveal just how salient the issue of the war is for Democratic voters — particularly in swing areas of the country. It may also forecast how other progressives facing similar challenges from moderate Democrats could fair in their races.

What are the key Pennsylvania House races to watch?

There are several other high-profile House primary races to watch in Pennsylvania.

Six Democrats are competing for the chance to challenge GOP Rep. Scott Perry in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, which includes Harrisburg and Hershey.

Perry was a former chair of the Freedom Caucus, one of the most conservative factions of the Republican Party, with members including Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz and Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. Perry was also a key figure in efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

While the area leans Republican, Democrats say they can win over independents and moderate conservatives in the area with a message centered around protecting democracy. They plan to tie Perry to Trump and conservative extremism.

Out of the six Democratic candidates running to unseat Perry, news anchor Janelle Stelson and former "Top Gun" fighter pilot Mike O’Brien appear to have the best shot. The other candidates include Harrisburg City Council member Shamaine Daniels, progressive businessman John Broadhurst and former radio executive Black Lynch.

To the northeast of Harrisburg, in the Lehigh Valley, three Republicans are competing to take on Democratic Rep. Susan Wild. Her seat, in Pennsylvania’s 7th District, is a top target for Republicans in November.

Wild barely eked out a victory against her Republican opponent, Lisa Scheller, in 2022. She won 51-49.

Pennsylvania’s state legislature hangs in the balance

If Pennsylvania Democrats hold their narrow majority in the state House and win the state Senate in November, it would give Gov. Shapiro enormous power to pass his agenda in the last two years of his term.

It would also mark the first time in three decades that the party controlled the state Senate; Tuesday’s elections could determine whether that’s possible.

Because the local districts tend to lean Democratic or Republican, the results of the primary elections can have a large sway on the race.

Democrats currently hold a two-seat majority in the state House, and Republicans hold a five-seat majority in the state Senate.

Walmart Rolls Out Major Changes For In-Person Customers. See What Stores Are Impacted

Walmart Self Checkout

T wo more Walmart stores—one in St. Louis, Missouri, and one in Cleveland, Ohio—are getting rid of their self-checkout machines, according to a statement shared with Business Insider . The self-checkout machines will reportedly be removed after hours and the process will be completed within two weeks.

"We believe the change will improve the in-store shopping experience and give our associates the chance to provide more personalized and efficient service," Walmart spokesperson Brian Little told Insider.

TIME has reached out to Walmart for comment and further information.

The news comes after Walmart made a similar change to three New Mexico stores last year, removing all self-checkout machines. Other stores, including Target, Dollar General, and FiveBelow have also said that they are scaling back their reliance on self-checkout services in recent months. Dollar General announced that it would remove the self-checkout option from 300 stores while FiveBelow is opting for a hybrid checkout whereby staff manually scan the items for customers at the self-checkout machines. Target is implementing a new rule that only allows you to use self-checkout if you are purchasing 10 items or less.

Self-checkout on average appears to have a significantly higher rate of theft, with one study by a shopping startup called Grabango suggesting that shoppers are 21 times more likely to sneak a stolen item past a machine than from a human checkout.

It’s especially common for shoppers to purchase some items while shoplifting other items during self-checkout, causing retailers to have large amounts of inventory that is unaccounted for, referred to as “shrink.” Some shrink may even be unintentional. Approximately one in five shoppers say they accidentally took an item from self-checkout without paying for it, according to a survey from LendingTree .
