Fantastic experience: After not using travel agents for several years , last year we had a terrible experience with another large well advertised company - back to booking online!!! Positive experience: Buyer beware! While it is said (and fairly so) that one should make their own careful decisions based on all the facts (including the fine print), when you go to professional organisations for advice and help,you should get it! My experience with Bicton Travel was somewhat the oposite full of lack of clarity and contradicting information only made clear after deposits were made. Then not clear enough! The advertising material and marketig hand outs contradicted each other and when questioned I was offered even more confusing contradictory advice. The ebnvironment in the office is not conducive to quality customer service or communication and when queried all I got was the T's & C's poked in my face. Blew 50% of my deposit, but it was a valuable lesson learned...will not be bitten again.

Founded by Carole Smethurst and her son Philip Smethurst, what started as a team of two has steadily grown to become Australia’s most awarded travel agency. We are a nine-time CLIA Cruise Agency of the Year, and three-time AFTA Travel Agency of the Year.

Today, we remain a local Perth-based company operating from our offices in East Fremantle, Western Australia. Simply the Best

We have just experienced (like many others) a very stressful few days trying to sort complex travel arrangements involving a cruise, accommodation, flights and multiple countries over several weeks. Everything has been up in the air due to the coronavirus, but fortunately for us most of or our trip - I wish all of it - has been in the safe and very capable hands of Bicton Travel whose staff have been responsive, supportive, highly effective and simply exceptional in getting things sorted for us. They have gone to great lengths, often in their own time and compromising their precious time off, to be there for us and sort our arrangements. I have never experienced this level of service from a travel agent before and will no longer be using anyone else. If you want the best call Nadia and Phil at Bicton Travel - you will be in the safest of hands, receive excellent advice and have the best service you could hope for. These are very trying times for passengers, but particularly for agents. The professionalism we have experienced in these difficult circumstances really sets this organisation apart from the rest.
