Disney Cruise Line Announces Fall 2023 Itineraries (September – December)
Disney Cruise Line released their Fall 2023 itineraries today for the fleet, but NOT the Disney Wonder. Celebrate the holidays through Fall 2023 with themed cruise vacations including the return of Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime Cruises. Departing from a variety of popular ports with sailings from Florida including Disney Cruise LIne’s newest homeport in Fort Lauderdale, California or New York. Cruise to the Caribbean and The Bahamas, experience the beauty of Baja, explore the Panama Canal, or drop anchor in Bermuda or Canada.
Disney Cruise Line is loading the fall 2023 sailings so this remains a work in progress and will be updated multiple times today.
Today’s release extends the available sail dates through the end 2023.
While Fall 2023 dates were announced today, general booking will not open until Thursday July 28th . The tiered booking period will begin Monday July 25th for Castaway Club Members and some others.
- Monday July 25th – Platinum Members, Golden Oak Club Members and Club 33 Members
- Tuesday July 26th – Gold Castaway Club members
- Wednesday July 27th – Silver Members, Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Insiders
- Thursday July 29th, first time cruisers will be able to book.
If you’re an existing Castaway Club member, simply log in to your account now to verify your Castaway Club status, so you’ll be all set to book on your designated date. Alternatively, you can call (800) 388-4513 starting at 8:00 AM Eastern Time or contact your travel agent.
Castaway Club members can book online beginning Monday! The only caveat is that this is for new bookings only as the website is still not set up to move a placeholder to a new booking. Those types of bookings will still require a phone call.
The following bears repeating, please do NOT try calling today to book; this will just clog up the phone lines and bog down the reservation cast members. There may be people attempting to book an available cruise vacation today.
For those looking for Early 2024 dates, we anticipate the next release to occur sometime in the fall sometime in September or October based on the historical itinerary release cycle .
Below you will find a breakout by ship, but this is a WORK IN PROGRESS AND INCOMPLETE UNTIL THIS MESSAGE IS UPDATED Disney Cruise Line is still loading the sailings. I will be updating the website throughout the day as I load the sailings and upload the new itinerary maps. The best way to be alerted to updates is by following me on Twitter @TheDCLblog – I will tweet updates as I add the sailings to the website and update this article . At the very end, you will find Disney Cruise Line’s Summer 2024 Itinerary Announcement press release .
Please note, the port order may be different and will be adjusted once the full detailed itineraries are available to view on Disney Cruise Line’s website.

Disney Cruise Line Offers Holiday Fun for Families with New Fall Itineraries in 2023
Halloween and holiday vacations with Disney Cruise Line include fleet’s first departures from Fort Lauderdale, Florida
CELEBRATION, Fla. – Disney Cruise Line will offer enchanting fall vacations that take families coast-to-coast in 2023, including special sailings with spook-tacular surprises, holiday cheer and the fleet’s first-ever departures from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With cruises from Florida, California and New York, adults and children alike will discover the wonder of the holidays aboard Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime Cruises.
“We are excited to provide families with experiences that create lasting memories,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line. “With offerings for the entire family, specially curated activities for both Halloween and the holidays and a brand-new home port in South Florida, our guests will have more ways than ever to experience the magic of Disney at sea.”
Halloween on the High Seas cruises will return from mid-September through October 2023. Aboard these not-so-spooky sailings, guests will eat, drink and be scary with their favorite characters dressed in Halloween costumes, celebrate the season at Mickey’s Mouse-querade party, enjoy trick-or-treating at sea and more.
From early November through December, Disney Cruise Line ships will be extra merry and bright during Very Merrytime Cruises that celebrate the spirit of the holiday season. On these sailings, Disney magic will take on a whole new meaning with characters dressed in festive garb from head to (mistle)toe, a special tree-lighting ceremony, holiday décor, and special guests – Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Bookings open to the public on July 28, 2022. More details can be found on disneycruise.com.
New Adventures Aboard the Disney Dream
The Disney Dream has new destinations on the horizon for the fall of 2023.
Following its inaugural season in Europe, the Disney Dream will set sail from New York City for the first time. Families will enjoy four-, five- and six-night sailings from the Big Apple to Bermuda, where they will explore the island’s renowned pink-sand beaches, world-class shopping, aquatic adventures and distinctive blend of British and Caribbean culture. Plus, a special four-night voyage on the Disney Dream will transport guests to the charming Canadian seaport city of Saint John.
Starting Nov. 20, 2023, Disney Cruise Line will find a new South Florida home in Port Everglades, offering four- and five-night cruises aboard the Disney Dream to tropical locales in the western Caribbean and Bahamas. Families will enjoy stops in places like Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Nassau from Disney Cruise Line’s second year-round home port, along with visits to Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island oasis.
Mexican Riviera Adventures from California
Beginning in mid-October 2023, the Disney Magic will find its home on the West Coast, setting sail from San Diego for voyages ranging from two to seven nights to Baja and the Mexican Riviera. Guests will experience the sparkling waters and beautiful landscapes of Santa Catalina Island, Calif., Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico. An exclusive seven-night Mexican Riviera sailing will feature the breathtaking ports of Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas, which are perfect for recreational water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving.
Tropical Vacations from Port Canaveral, Florida
In the fall of 2023, the Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy will continue sailing from Port Canaveral to tropical destinations in the Bahamas and Caribbean.
The Disney Wish will sail three- and four-night cruises to the Bahamas, including visits to Nassau and Castaway Cay.
The Disney Fantasy will offer families even more time to experience Disney Cruise Line’s world-class dining, Broadway-style shows and spaces designed for the entire family during seven-night cruises to stunning destinations in the eastern and western Caribbean.

It’s nice the Disney Dream is coming to New York City
We are booking the fantasy for Halloween 🙂
I was just noticing in the PDF that DCL referenced in their email this morning that the Wonder was not mentioned at all, then I saw your comment that “we don’t talk about the Wonder”. Is there something up with the Wonder they aren’t telling us?? Or could the rumor of DCL registering at some Australian ports indicate it could be headed there and just not announced yet?
Not gonna lie…I don’t like the Dream taking over the fun one-off cruises like NYC or San Juan that used to belong to old ships.
You cannot escape that ship…its the Thanos of ships.
Very curious about the Wonder. Time for it to head to Asia?
Wonder dry dock??
There is a big announcement coming.
❤️❤️ So exciting!!!
So the Wonder may be heading to that country down under after all. If so, it makes sense to delay the announcement a) to give the other itineraries a chance and b) I could see the phone lines being clogged even more following such announcement. Or maybe it is more Hawaii sailing. I can’t see a doubling of the shipsnin San Diego but who knows right now… Interesting to speculate though…
Australia is one of the lesser opened country right now, Covid wise. Not that it would be impossible for the Wonder to be reassigned there, but I cannot really picture DCL having such a hassle when it can « easily » sail to Hawaï or any closer destinations with cheaper flight destinations for its core customer-base.
There are a number of legal moves that Disney or should we say the Magical Cruise Company have made recently, such as registering the company in Australia and have been issued an ABN# by the Australian Government, the filing of taxation documentation and that an unknow ship from and unknown cruise line will be calling Sydney home from October 2023 to Feb 2024. It all points to the Wonder sailing south and into Sydney Harbour.
I am cruising in September. Would the early booking price be less than the discount on a future cruise that I can get while on the ship?
It will depend on sailing. I’ve had one that worked out cheaper and one that was a lot more expensive. I’d say book then re look at it once onboard
Australia would make sense since its summer foe rhyme in the Southern Hemisphere .
I hope Wonder is going to get a substantial upgrade/refurb before heading off to Australia (or some other new location) but I doubt it. Given how profit hungry Disney has become and they way they are nickel and diming everyone to death in the Theme parks and resorts just to eke out a few extra dollars in profits I honestly would not be surprised to see them retire Wonder rather than putting in the $$ to upgrade her. I’ve expected at least one of the classic ships to be retired since Disney first announced that they were going to build 3 new ships instead of just the 2 they originally announced. With the post-COVID contraction of the cruise industry and Disney’s focus on profit, profit, and more profit this just seems even more likely.
That’s gloomy thinking ! The nickel and diming is certainly a reality though. I did some comparison of prices we paid in 2011 for WDW and 2014 for DCL and prices have tripled in both cases. Unfortunately my income has not.
When was the last time you were on the Wonder? My last time was Oct 2019 and she was beautiful at that time. The Promenade Lounge had been redone into the French Quarter Lounge and one of the restaurants was redone into Tiana’s. I’m just wondering if she’s gone downhill since then or if maybe you haven’t been on her since before these changes? She’s my favorite ship and I’m so disappointed she won’t be sailing out of San Diego next fall but I am excited to hear whatever announcement is coming. : )
All the ships got a nice refurb during the hight of the pandemic. Why would they do another so soon?

Interested in booking a cruise for a date or itinerary that hasn’t been announced yet? You can submit a booking request for a Disney cruise, even before Disney Cruise Line releases the schedule. Save yourself some stress and fill out the Small World Vacations Wait List form in advance and they’ll book your preferred cruise the first day you are eligible, at no cost to you! Plus, you can get up to $1000 in FREE onboard credit courtesy of Small World Vacations! (All staterooms and cruises are subject to availability at the time of booking.)
Disney Cruise Line announces their cruise dates and itineraries for only a few months at a time: January through April, then May through September and finally, September through December. Once the new itineraries come out, booking begins just a day or two later, first to Castaway Club members (people who’ve been on a previous Disney cruise) and then to the general public.
The people who book earliest almost always get the lowest possible price . Sometimes there will be last-minute deals via the restricted guarantee fares or Florida Resident fares , but only a small percentage of cruises ever have those fares, and those fares aren’t always cheaper than opening day fares. In addition, early bookers get first dibs on staterooms, making it the best way to land one of the hardest-to-get staterooms like the Secret Porthole and Secret Verandah rooms. Lots of people know about these advantages, so on the days the new itineraries become available for booking, both the phone lines and website get slammed.
There’s an easy way to avoid the scramble to book on the first day the bookings open: submit a request to Small World Vacations now. You just need basic information like where you want to go (Caribbean, Alaska, Norway, Europe, etc.), the date range you want, the kind of stateroom you want (inside, outside, verandah) and the names and ages of the people going. Let them know if you are a Castaway Club Member by including your Member Number and Level (Platinum, Gold or Silver). You can add other preferences or priorities as needed – early dining, lower deck, upper deck, not over a nightclub – whatever is important to you. Their agents will review your request, contact you to confirm they understand your priorities, and then you can relax and let your personal agent book your cruise when the time comes. Your agent will provide their email and direct phone number, so you can discuss your options and preferences.
On the day the itineraries become available for your Castaway Club level, your agent will be up bright and early while you sleep in (or go about your usual day). If Disney releases a cruise that fits your criteria, your agent will typically go ahead and put a hold in place, thus reserving your stateroom(s), then email you with your cruise details and deposit information. You’ll be able to have your choice of room type and location and will lock in the opening day price. If later on you decide to change rooms on the same sailing, Disney will give you the opening day price on the new room , even if the price has gone up in the intervening days or months.
Even if you aren’t 100% sure whether you’re going to be able to go, there’s no real risk in getting a cruise booked early . Disney Cruise Line deposits for any stateroom types other than Concierge are fully refundable up to the Payment In Full date, which is 120-75 days before sailing, depending on the specific cruise and time of year. You have lots of time to figure out whether that cruise will work for you. If it doesn’t, you can get the deposit back or just transfer it to a different sailing date that works better.
The agents who handle cruise bookings for Small World Vacations have collectively sailed on more than 400 Disney cruises, and know a truly astonishing amount about all four ships, the various Disney ports of call, shore excursions and all the common itineraries (and many uncommon ones). Many of them are Platinum members of Disney’s Castaway Club, meaning that they have personally been on 10 or more Disney cruises! They’re happy to share their firsthand experience with the kids’ clubs, dining, character meets, entertainment, transportation, etc. In our experience, the travel agents at Small World Vacations are great at finding the best fares. They know all the tricks that will save you money, and they know the Disney Cruise Line inside and out. We’re confident that once you work with a really great travel agent, you’ll never want to book a cruise any other way. During this period there will be special Halloween events onboard, including Halloween-themed parties, storytellings, movies and elaborate décor, including The Pumpkin Tree, which magically transforms throughout the cruise. You will also find characters dressed in Halloween costumes, as well as a costume party for families and, just for adults, a costume contest and a Villainous Takeover on the dance floor in the nighttime entertainment district.
In the past there has not been any special menu for Halloween night itself, over and above what they do on all the Halloween themed cruises during the whole period, but there will be some special Halloween-themed treats.

Double Dip Cruises
A “Double Dip” sailing is one that visits Castaway Cay twice on the same cruise. Many people (including us) feel the Castaway Cay day is the highlight of a Bahamian or Caribbean cruise, and this gives you a double dose! The Castaway Cay days are usually not consecutive. Most commonly you go first to Castaway Cay, then Nassau, then back to Castaway Cay. Both days follow the typical Castaway Cay schedule: off the ship at 8:30 am (depending on sea conditions), and all aboard at 4:45 pm. The same excursions and activities will be available both days, though if you want to do the same activity or book a cabana for both days, you’ll need to book each day separately. If you want, you can run the Castaway Cay 5K twice!
In the rare event that the ship visits Castaway Cay two days in a row, the ship will not stay docked overnight. It will leave the island at the usual time on the first day and come back the next morning.
Double Dip cruises scheduled so far for 2023:
- Disney Dream : April 10, December 28
- Disney Fantasy : July 8
- Disney Magic : June 19, August 19, September 25
Repositioning is when a cruise starts in one port and finishes in another. These cruises can be a good deal, as they usually are cheaper per night than conventional round-trip cruises. They also tend to go to more unusual locations. The longest repositioning cruises are the Panama Canal and Transatlantic cruises, which are almost always the cheapest cruises (per night) of the whole year.
Unique cruises have an itinerary that is different from other cruise itineraries that particular ship is sailing around that time. They either visit an unusual location or locations or visit a unique combination of common locations. Repositioning cruises are all unique as well.
- If you are interested in booking any specialty Disney Cruise Line cruise , we recommend either Small World Vacations or Undercover Tourist . We have worked with both companies for over 15 years and can recommend them wholeheartedly. It’s really a question of whether you prefer full-service booking or self booking. These staterooms often sell out fast, so if you see one you like, snag it quickly.

Disney Cruise Line has announced one Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member cruise for 2023: a 4-night Bahamian cruise on September 4 on the Disney Wish.
DVC member cruises are only open to Disney Vacation Club members who have purchased at least some of their vacation points directly from Disney (rather than from another member via resale). Members can use their vacation points to book the cruise or can pay cash rates. Typically DVC cruises are significantly more expensive than similar cruises for the general public, but guests will be given a wide variety of DVC special gifts and will get to experience some exclusive member events including talks by special guests including artists, imagineers and/or actors from classic Disney movies.
Whether the DVC member cruise is worth booking is a personal judgment call. The extra events are difficult or impossible to experience any other way. The various DVC gifts are usually a mix of the usual kinds of tote bags, pens, and so forth you can get by attending a DVC meeting or buying a new DVC contract, plus at least a few special and unique items. Some people love the DVC member cruises and try to go on each one. Others go once and feel it’s not worth the extra money.
Adventure by Disney Pre- and Post-Cruise Escape Packages take place before and after select Disney Cruise Line sailings. These 2- to 3-night Escapes include 2 Adventure by Disney guides; hotel accommodations; multiple, daily excursions; special VIP privileges; all transportation during the trip and a photo CD with all the Adventure by Disney guide photos.

Learn All the New Details About Disney Cruise Line’s Newest Ship, the Disney Treasure
by Melanie Hager , Public Relations Manager, Disney Cruise Line
If you missed the reveal of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship , the Disney Treasure , don’t worry – we have all the new details right here! From venturing to colorful plazas in Mexico to navigating the jungle and traveling below the ocean’s surface, the theme of adventure will thread brand-new venues with familiar guest-favorite spaces on board the Disney Treasure.
Let’s take a look at how captivating stories from Walt Disney Animation, Pixar and Disney Parks will be brought to life by Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering in fun and exciting ways for families when this ship debuts in December 2024!
Brand New Dining & Entertainment Inspired By Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios
Vibrant, heartfelt adventures from Disney and Pixar will lend inspiration for two all-new venues onboard the Disney Treasure.
Plaza de Coco will be the first theatrical dining experience themed to the Disney and Pixar film, “Coco.” This theater-in-the-round entertainment venue will feature a central stage surrounded by dining tables, with performances and show effects that will spread throughout the room.
On the first night, the story of Miguel and his familia will continue where it left off in the film as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take your family on a colorful, music-filled journey, including a dinner featuring modern twists on traditional Mexican fare and a lineup of live entertainment. Your family will be invited to join Miguel, his parents, Enrique and Luisa, and Abuelita Elena for a festive gathering that honors the heritage of music and love that runs deep in the Rivera family.
During this seven-night cruise, you will get not one, but two chances to visit this new family dining venue! During your second night at Plaza de Coco, Miguel will reunite with his great-great-grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, as he transports them to the town square in Santa Cecilia with the help of his magic guitar. Together, Miguel and his ancestors will celebrate Día de los Muertos – Rivera family style – with a unique lineup of memorable songs from the film.
And to delight your sweet tooth – the new sweetshop onboard the Disney Treasure, Jumbeaux’s Sweets , will be reminiscent of the popular ice cream parlor, Jumbeaux Café, from the bustling mammal metropolis featured in Disney’s “Zootopia.” Surrounded by playful pink interiors, Victorian-style architecture and an endearing sculpture of Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, your family can indulge in more than 35 flavors of handmade gelato, ice cream and sorbets, specialty treats, candies and more.
Disney Theme Park Adventures on the High Seas
For the first time ever, the nostalgia and lore from beloved theme park attractions will come to Disney Cruise Line with a unique lineup of all-new Disney Parks-inspired venues aboard the Disney Treasure.
Skipper Society, a themed lounge near the Grand Hall, will bring Disney Parks’ iconic Jungle Cruise attraction to sea for the first time. But instead of visiting the backside of water, the venue’s natural colorways and camp-style furnishings will pair with sly tributes to the trusty, dry-witted skippers for an elevated, playful atmosphere. You can discover references to the famous attraction throughout the space, from a whimsical monkey-shaped chandelier to postcards and luggage tags brought back from travels abroad, all while snacking on themed cocktails and light snacks beneath a canopy of untamed jungle foliage.
Periscope Pub will become Disney Cruise Line’s first venue inspired by the spellbinding adventure of Walt Disney’s 1954 film, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” and the celebrated Disney Parks attraction that was open at Walt Disney World from 1971 to 1994. The design of the submarine-style interiors will call upon 19 th century steampunk influences with polished metals and industrial touches. A mysterious window into the depths of the uncharted oceans along the ceiling will give you a chance to feel like Captain Nemo on the Nautilus, while a decorative statement rug in the center of the space will honor Captain Nemo’s fabled nemesis, the giant squid. This casual venue will be the ideal onboard location to unwind and watch live sports or news, while ordering from a menu of craft brews and light bites.
Embracing the adventures of the future, the Tomorrow Tower Suite will capture the same forward-thinking mindset that inspired the Walt Disney World Resort theme park, EPCOT, with an energetic design. Throughout the suite, dynamic art pieces, molten metal accents and futuristic, colorful glass accents will evoke the distinct atmosphere of EPCOT’s World Discovery neighborhood. Set high in the ship’s forward funnel, this one-of-a-kind suite will overlook the top deck of the Disney Treasure and glimpse the open horizon through an expansive two-story window. With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, the Tomorrow Tower Suite will comfortably sleep eight guests and feature areas for eating, sleeping and playing, as well as other perks like a full kitchen and private ensuite elevator.
Classic Disney Adventures in Familiar Spaces
Throughout the Disney Treasure, timeless Disney characters and their unforgettable stories of exploration will inspire reimagined spaces.
The Grand Hall will embody the ship’s theme of adventure, with statues and décor that call on the gilded palace and wonder of Agrabah from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ classic tale, “Aladdin.” The space will serve as the ship’s most prominent gathering space and will offer its own dedicated entertainment moments and surprises.
Just off the Grand Hall, two casual walk-up cafes will serve a selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks. With brand-new themes, the cafes will draw inspiration from two brave Disney Princesses – Moana and Mulan – and celebrate their adventures in all-new ways.
Named for Moana’s trusty sidekick, Heihei Café will echo the scalloped seashells and reflective blue waters of the storied Southern Pacific Isle of Motunui as it is portrayed in Disney’s animated feature “Moana.” Meanwhile, the Jade Cricket Café , inspired by the classic Disney film “Mulan,” will honor the Fa Family’s “lucky” cricket, Cri-Kee, who will be represented by a jade sculpture on the bar top.
In addition, Sarabi , a central hub for a multitude of daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment, will evoke the natural beauty and openness of the savanna where its namesake, the lioness matriarch from Disney’s “The Lion King,” lived.
Disney Cruise Line’s own attraction at sea, AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg, will plunge guests into the world of Mickey Mouse animated shorts. Suspended high above the upper decks, powerful jets will propel two-person ride vehicles through 760 feet of winding tubes, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and the ship below. Onboard the Disney Treasure, AquaMouse will introduce an all-new storyline that follows Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on a zany misadventure into an ancient temple for a glimpse of the legendary treasure within.
With all the exploration and excitement taking place on the ship throughout the day, we know the accommodations will be equally as important to your family! Aboard the Disney Treasure, the 1,246 staterooms will be inspired by classic Disney tales of adventure. These accommodations will feature, custom artwork and design elements that evoke the exploratory spirit of beloved Disney and Pixar films including “Aladdin,” “Pocahontas,” “Up” and “Encanto.” The concierge and royal suites will bring to life the incredible character journeys – and some beloved feline sidekicks – from “The Lion King,” “The Jungle Book” and “Aladdin.”
Classic Disney Cruise Line Favorites Return to the Disney Treasure
Many of your Disney Cruise Line favorites will return to the Disney Treasure and some all-new spaces! In addition to an all-new stage production (we promise: more details will come soon!) coming to the Walt Disney Theatre, “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” will thrill audiences with tales as old as time, while the upper decks will come to life with music and fireworks during the swashbuckling Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party . Worlds of Marvel and 1923 will round out the family dining rotation on the Disney Treasure, while The Rose , Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallament will continue to wow adults with exceptional views, gourmet meals and tantalizing beverages.
Adults aren’t the only ones who will have fun on the Disney Treasure! Disney’s Oceaneer Club , Edge , Vibe and It’s a Small World Nursery return to give kids of all ages a designated space to let their imaginations run free under the guidance of Disney-trained counselors.
This is just a glimpse at some of the new spaces coming to the Disney Treasure, which will embark on its maiden voyage, a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida, on Dec. 21, 2024, followed by an inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members can book a Disney Treasure cruise as early as Sept. 12, 2023, and bookings will open to all guests on Sept. 20, 2023.
Stay tuned on the Disney Parks Blog for more details in the future on the new stage show, the second night of entertainment in Worlds of Marvel – and even more spaces yet to be revealed!
In the meantime, join us on the road to Destination D23 and let us know what you are most excited about in the comments! And don’t forget to mark your calendars for Sept. 20 to book your inaugural season sailing on the new ship. Adventure awaits!
