MANILA, Philippines –  Philippine bet Justine Felizarta finished as first runner-up during the Miss Tourism World 2022 coronation night held in Vietnam on Saturday, December 10.

Ambition in life: Living life in an image of roads and blocks, I had set myself to dream not an end-term goal but rather a holistic one out of a visionary cause for the world, to target something beneficial for not only a few and in the present, but for humanity as a whole and in the future comings.

That holistic goal is a long-term prosperity and high judiciousness for mental health. Being a Breakthrough myself of self-doubts and identity instability, I wanted a world where every individual has equal amount of safe space that they can always access, and though we have our differences, we are all entitled to care for our mental health as much as we can care for one another as well. To turn this ambition into reality, i set myself to finish my psychology course and become a psychologist one day.

With over 7,600 islands, every regions of the Philippines from Luzon, Visayas to Mindanao has unique experience it can offer ranging in its rich marine biodiversity – home for pristine Beaches such as the Surigao island adventures, white sands of Boracay and turquoise water of el Nido, the world-renowned landscapes like the Banaue rice terraces and Palawan underground river, and of course the native and the love for historical heritages witnessed in the city of Vigan and the walls of Manila Intramuros, along with a whole lot of cultural

Festivities and culinary delights. Ultimately, transcending above these places and culture is the Filipino people themselves. To put the “fun” in the Philippines in every visits and celebrations is from their warmth, hospitality and religiousity that makes your every experience unforgettable and priceless. Be amazed by how resilient and bright the smiles of the Filipinos can be which you can never find in any other corners in the world.

Therefore having the Filipinos as the heart of the Philippine tourism, being a tourism ambassador, what i can offer is the awareness of how it is not only about focusing on a place’s physical beauty to define tourism but what underlies in it, what makes it unique and what makes it truly beautiful and that is the people.
